Sure, if you just want / need a second storage drive for games. Anything NVMe is going to be faster than a SATA SSD and of course faster than a SATA HDD. Some games may benefit from PCIE Gen 4/5 drive speeds, but most are just fine running off a cheap NVMe drive. Really depends on how heavily you stress the drive.

I just disconnected and reseated it but it's still choppy

Thought I'd try hdmi on both the motherboard and the gpu but neither have an output at all?

install FanControl version 240. MS Defender in your Fancontrol install deleted the WinRing0 driver, which means LibreHardwareMonitor inside the FanControl can't work. Fancontrol 238 and newer have a replacement for that driver

i don't think you can replace the EFI boot image which is used by most EFI based operating ysstems too

in other words, the "origin boot up screen" is literally just an image in your BIOS chip, and it is shown whatever OS shows the EFI image, which is most Windows and Linux versions

DRAM Buffer is a positive in general.

Gen5 NVMEs are stupid and a waste of time generally.

I'd get the SN7100 out of that list

Kingston has done way too many shady things with SSDs over the years, so fuckem. Never gonna actively buy them (unless something drastically changes)

Crucial is nice, but Gen5 NVME drives are.... complicated on many modern platforms, so I generally avoid them

Very good drive although you won't notice the speed difference with nvmes for basic tasks like gaming and such
