'm having a persistent issue with Fortnite on my PC, and I can't figure out what's causing it. The game randomly freezes: the screen locks up completely, the sound loops, and I have to forcefully shut down the PC.
The other games are fine , 2 or 3 times happened also on R.E.P.O but there was another situation , the freeze would last 10 second and then back to normal , in this case i just need to force the shut down.

My system specs:

• CPU: Intel i7-9700 (~66°C in Fortnite)
• GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super
• RAM: 64 GB DDR4, tested with MemTest86 for 2.5 hours with no errors
• Motherboard: ASUS TUF Z370-PLUS GAMING II
• SSD: Kingston 1TB (Windows + Fortnite installed)
• HDD: 1TB (games storage)
• PSU: Corsair TX550M,
• Windows 10/11 fully updated
• NVIDIA Driver: Latest

What I’ve tried so far:

• Moved Fortnite from HDD to SSD → freeze still occurs
• Ran OCCT Power Test + FurMark → PC stable
• Ran MemTest86 → RAM is fine
• Monitored CPU/GPU temps → all normal
• i changed also from DirectX 12 to DirectX 11
• reinstalled even a driver version from like a month ago
• i saw something about xbox or something like that i did that also
• closed riot vanguard and discord
• reset the bios
• i’m sure the hdmi cable is in the GPU
• checked fortnite files twice
• ran malware tests

What could be causing this freeze, and how can I fix it? Could it be a driver issue, Windows setting, or something else?

so you can get similar performance or better on a newer platform, but it's around a 20% increase per architecture increase
