TLDR: FX chips didn't really use hyperthreading, they kinda had the cores chopped in half, so each thread can only use 1/2 of the integer unit of the "core". so yeah, integer singlecore perf was roughly 1/2 that of a same-period intel. Multicore was much better, but it also had weird cache latency issues (solvable through OC)

Yeah, I remember there was actually a lawsuit about it at one point, because AMD's idea of a "core" was different from the traditional idea of a "core". I remember the argument being that the 8 core AMD FX CPUs were technically 4 core.

AMD FX was clearly a dumb idea anyway, especially since the Phenom II's that they were meant to replace overpowered them for awhile

The normal Asus bios updating utility did not work with the cap file and it also did not work OTA. I have the programmer on hand and I have used it before on quite a few different things so I figure it’s worth a shot

cos usually those "hacked" accounts want to spread their links as wide and as far as possible, and they need access to as many channels to do that, so it scans for channels to join/roles to gain by clicking those buttons, so it can open channels, but then obviously it clicks that button at some point and they get kicked.

Would like to upgrade from a 3090 and sounds like the only card that is worth an upgrade would be a 5090, just trying to see what others think
