I have the 5700X with an RX 6800 right now, and am just looking for that better performance. I dont quite hit the 120 in all the games I like

16gb might work fine, but run the same apps on 32gb and you’ll see that more of that 32gb is filled

operating systems will dynamically use ram based on what's available. if you have more ram then your system is gonna use that ram to help speed up processes it thinks you're gonna use later. you can get by on 16 but the more ram you have the better the experience

Guys I just built a new PC with R5 7500F + 3060Ti + ASRock B650M-H + MSI A650BN. The problem I've encountered is that I get random freezing in games and sometimes even outside of games. (Longest in Valorant but shorter and less common in Elden Ring).
I tried:

• clean driver reinstall with DDU
• updating BIOS
• disabling EXPO and using rated speeds
• disabling C-states
• disabling PBO
• disabling above 4G decoding
• adjusting CPU min. state to 100% in windows power options
• checking the PSU connectors
• removing the PSU extensions

I have mobo drivers installed, the temps are ~41°C so its not VRM overheating. The SSD also seems to be perfectly fine.
Freezing seems to correlate to CPU-GPU load. What else can I try?

most people that sell used HDDs are not willing to test them in person

I don't trust a used drive with a couple hundred hours unless its for a cold backup and a NAS is not that. By cold I mean you write to it once, then lock that away and hope to never need to touch the drive again but will do one more full read of the drive to restore from backup if need be.

Hey guys so I got this Lenovo office-ish computer I use as a Plex server, it works great, but it's time to upgrade the hard drive to expensed my legally owned, DVD backups I made.
I got a bunch of mechanical hard drives. But the case is too small to fit another hard drive, so I got a few options, one is to swap to another case, I do have a few bigger cases but with the size of the motherboard (maybe it is in fact just standard) and the special power supply it will either not work, or be extremely junkie, other option is to ditch this computer and migrate the hard drive to another working computer in have that I think has more drive space, and last option is to just go with a new, bigger hard drive, maybe SSD but these are expensive, if I do that I might as well go with at least 2TB. Thoughts?
