My laptop just crashed and auto rebooted with the resolution looking messed up and i thought thats weird so i changed the resoluttion back. But every gpu using app is running at less than 5 fps or even 1 or 2 fps. Task manager doesnt show either gpu and settings shows microsoft basic render driver. Whats wrong please help

You can run local models using something like Lm studio, ollama. LM studio has a function to split the model across CPU and GPU

Those rely heavily on single core performance and most Threadrippers are biased towards multithreaded performance to get the most out of them.
