Hey guys, small question. Bought a seasonic psu (Focus 850 atx3.1) but I am one 1x8 cable short to connect all my components. However, the psu has a 12 plug that is so far unused. Am I right that I am safe in buying this cable and connecting the 12 on psu side with the 2x8 on gpu side (and a normal 8 to 8 because the 9070 has 3x8 plugs).

2. when i try putting my headphones into the mic port of my pc, the mic works
3. when using the y splitter, the mic works however, the audio no longer works in my right ear when there is stereo audio, only the left headphone works

since this connector is right up against the side panel I would suggest reaching out to a place like cablemods. I dont suggest 3rd party stuff because if it explodes people blame me... but they may have something. In the meantime ask MSI for another cable adapter and run without a side panel. @dry cove is probably the authority.

CableMods may have a right angle adapter that won't explode
