and the firmware update was applied throught Seatools (from seagate), but now the firmware version shown is the old version

If i had to guess, the firmware might have changed the way the nvme drive is identified by the bios? So it might be trying to boot from the wrong drive

here is the order of what happened

1. firmware update of nvme (not the one with OS) using SeaTools
2. firmware update passed message
3. restarted
4. PC failed to boot to either windows or BIOS; failure to POST, the audio patterns and led light it gave were both for DRAM error (no memory detected)
5. I pressed the on/off button to shut it down
6. I pressed again to power on
7. managed to boot into BIOS
8. "discard changes and exit"
9. booted into windows, D drive can be read and its file opened
10. SeaTools says the same old firmware is still there

Fairly great performance as server software relies on cpu vs client relying on ram and gpu so as long as you have a decent cpu in the machine you’ve got a good heading

You only need network drivers and/or RAID/storage drivers if the Windows 11 setup doesn't detect either during the setup process. After installation, you would then install drivers from your motherboard mannufacturer website.
