Locate the psu cables and see if 1 sais cpu and pcie on the other side

Then plug the pcie side into the psu and the cpu side into the top 8 pin slot on the top left

As shown in your motherboard manual*

And also maybe the psu manual if they felt generous

Then can take the big chungus 24 pin or 20+4 pin depending and attach it to the psu and then the only 24 pin slot on the motherboard

(Side note those lil plastic peices with little metal teeth inside is what we are calling pins that connect the cables)

Hey guys, I really need some guidance on a situation that's been bothering me and I don’t want to open a topic yet. So, my computer is acting weird. The other day I was playing PUBG, and all of a sudden, my computer completely frozen. So, the image was still showing on screen, and the music was stuttering, it was stuck. And I had to press the button on the case to restart the computer. I downloaded OCCT program to do an AVX2 stress test. And it seems that, for whatever reason, the RAM slots 1 and 2 aren't working with the stress test. I mean, the computer works normally, but when I do the stress test, or even play a demanding game, which was the case of the other day, the computer freezes when I have a RAM on slot 1 or 2. The slot 3 and 4, it works without any problem, the computer doesn't freeze. I also tried different ram and it does the same. What is the problem?

I have recently acquired a ryzen 9 9950X3D, with an asrock X870E nova motherboard, everything work fine and I undervolted that thing, but HWINFO and in the BIOS H/W monitor says my CPU is running at 60°C IDLE. Actually the 2 CCD's are at 37 and 36°C in HWINFO but the CPU die average is at 57-59°C, it says my CPU IOD hotspot is at 57°C and average at 46°C. all VDD[...] voltage (misc and SOC) are at 1.0 or 1.1V, Vcore never goes above 1.3V at high load

Am i missing something ?

Later depending on if you have 7000 series can goto curve optimizer near the pbo setting and set it to all core negative 15 or all core negative 25 for 9000 series

Or set it to pbo level/enhancement/eco mode/TJmax setting depending what you motherboard calls it to limit it to power or thermal settings that'll automatically set the pbo kinda

And then anything you want to grab on the motherboard website for Bluetooth drivers etc is alright as needed (ofc extract and run them, some are really fast)

Then turning off startup apps that aren't needed
