on the 1080p, yes. But what you're not accounting for is the "experience" of a large format display. If you play mostly AAA single player and story based games, its an incredible experience that i'd take any day over the pixel density of a 28" display

what you need to realise, for a 42" display, you can go either 1080p or 4k res, but you would want that at a minimum of 6ft away from you, and a max of 12ft away

my network is:
Modum main router -> switch -> second router used as access point -> my computer/laptop connected through ethernet.

restarting pc/router,
changed the speed/duplex to automatic negotiation and tried 2.5gbps full duplex,
Made sure to turn off wifi,

any thoughts what to try next?

I'm thinking the issue is from the access point and beyond no? since the incoming "link speed" is 1 gb, assuming it knows its receiving 1gbps, its just not forwarding it to my computers...

And yes, a hard 95Mbps usually indicates a cabling/port issue somewhere limiting you but there are many links in that chain. All of them have to be checked, not just your PC to the first hop

Well I can't comfortably use Xbox controllers if that means anything.
Though will agree with DS4s being bad, particularly in terms of shape.
