No, that's not how it works I tried a 96w charger my brother has for his macbook and it was not an apple official one and I've tried my 100w charger while plugging in something else to it. It was my smart watch that charges so slowly on no watts.

Hey yall so Im helping a friend diagnose his computer issue. He has a 7700X and a 7800XT and he tried loading Ready or not last night and his computer just shut down. I had him test other games too to see if it was not just the games fault and he would crash on anything else too. I should actually say just the computer shuts down and doesnt crash and give an error, so i assumed it was temps?

I just had him install HWinfo for me and his idle was pretty normal at around 30-40C on a 240mm AIO, and when he launched ready or not and his cpu spiked to 92. Thought it was strange but the temps went back to around 40. I had him hit continue and all of a sudden its at 90C again and then it shuts down like usual. Now from that its likely that the computer is thermal throttling and shutting down, but I've dealt with stuff like it before and its not usually that abrupt? I just want to confirm my suspicions.

I never checked his gpu however, i noticed for a split second on his screen share the game looked very low poly when he was getting into the police station lobby but he never fully loaded into the game so i doubt theres a problem there
