i am removing macOS from it in early 2027 because Apple releases OS in fall, then requires the Xcode in that macOS next April. My MBP will still get Tahoe, so that means Xcode in it will be required in April 2026, and next Xcode which my MBP will not get will be required in April 2027

to be fair, you can get a base 13" is $999, and taht gives you 10c CPU, 16GB RAM, 256GB storage. The only thing i hate about it is the 256GB storage. But not much point going above that, unless you really need it
