But have you actually taken the thing off and tried re-mounting it to make sure that you have the right bits in the right place? Made sure that the right fittings for the platform are in there? Some of them have different washers that change the way that it's mounted use the wrong bits and it might feel tight but not make great contact with the CPU.

You don't want piles of paste in there, just enough so that you get it to fill in any scratches or bumps in the AIO and the CPU's heatspreader. Usually I put a bit on and then use a spudger to spread it over the entire IHS so that it's all over the thing as a thin layer.

I just got a free HP Prodesk G6 600 Small form factor from my work. It has a 10700, 16gb ddr4 (single stick) and a 256gb ssd. It only has a 180w PSU. I am trying to make an entry level PC for my son to game on. My options are a 1650S, or 1050ti. Unless I get a bigger PSU. generally, no. the maximum you're going to reasonably get in an LGA-2011 system is 10 broadwell cores, although if you need a terabyte of RAM it's a reasonable option

the SKUs that have more than 10 cores are actually internally split, so it behaves like two seperate CPUs

LGA-3647 xeons are also an option, but at that point, you start to spend so much money you might as well get a Ryzen with more performance
