on intel that can use d4 d5, d5 provides even bigger performance than several cpu generations.
do not spend any more on ddr4 on this system if possible, continue saving for a ddr5 platform in the future
get the 2nd stick of ddr4 for dual channel then just tolerate it until u can afford a platform switch
