i had a i5 9400f, it did mediocre on basically every game, upgraded to a i9 12900k now its completely different with my 3060ti

with dlss even better

granted the gpu heavy games will perform the same but cpu heavy games will be drastically different

I built my first PC in early 2011 and the only thing I couldn't figure out myself was how to install the giant CPU cooler I bought. The rest was pretty straightforward. Didn't use any YouTube videos either because basically no guides existed back then lol

Lots of titles other than the mainstream benchmark ones push systems in weird ways for sure. Oblivion Remastered is pracically a storage benchmark for 0.1% lows. Factorio is a cache benchmark on the high end. Most MMOs are CPU benches in actual gameplay.
