I actually renamed my main and only user on the pc and it's corresponding folders and it worked fine afterwards (ofc I had to do some registry tweaking tho)

If you dont have a 32bit key word that says "DontSearchWindowsUpdate" then right click on screen, select New> DWORD 32 bit value and name it DontSearchWindowsUpdate (no spaces). Now double click on it and select hexadecimal option, then turn value set from 1 to 0

This could have side effects though

honestly the best solution is to just roll back the driver when it happens

Install the latest drivers from AMD, let Windows Update overwrite them and then do a driver rollback in Device Manager. Should do the trick until you decide to update drivers again, then needs to be done again. Or try and block the update with wushowhide (needs to be done when Windows Update has found the update but hasn't installed it yet).

cuz 11700k's boosting behavior is such that once it gets to its intended performance it just stops and is satisfied, so its constant heat can be cooled. "New" (again 3 fking years of this losing battle against paranoia) amd cpus will continue to boost even higher to get even better performance the max possible for any cooler you put on it
