if nvidia did it for their consumer cards they would be the king of ai for consumers

tidal geyser

well can use em

clear canyon
brave brook
# clear canyon They are either way rn

nvidia in consumer segment does the absolute minimum it needs to without need tu keep around outdated tech. the only reason we got 5090, 5080 etc is because they needed the tech for AI products and consumer products are just a byproduct of that

I mean for 64$ very solid deal

hidden hill
#

I have a yeti nano right now

#

But I really want super crisp audio

#

The yeti nano sounds kinda ass

frigid blade
#

$120 for a mic is wild

hidden hill
#

Yeah it better sound insanely clean

frigid blade
#

Mine was $10

#

And it doesn’t even sound bad

hidden hill
#

Is the yeti nano supposed to sound better than how I have it? Sounds like an average headset mic when I hear my audio

frigid blade
#

You can make your own high quality usb mic for cheap that are better than most high end ones

granite sundial
#

almost anything thats gamer branded for peripherals is a total waste of money

hidden hill

Is Elgato gamer branded? Its streamer ish

latent pasture

do u record anything actually important enough to buy a mic for

elgato isnt gamer branded but its still pricy

its gonna get crushed by some garbage voice chat codec anyway

My old ass laptop has a better mic

ur multiplayer game is gonna crush it down to 32kbps anyway

frigid blade
#

Have you ever sat in a vc with the bitrate lowered?

#

It’s funny

I like that they added that feature to vc settings

hidden hill
#

Is it possible that the yeti nano could sound good but I just have it set up bad?

I don’t use any microphone software

granite sundial

what sounds bad about it

tidal geyser

bronze summit
granite sundial
#

i dont really get the benefits of HE

#

adjustable actuation point is cool but how many people actually adjust it

bronze summit
granite sundial
#

yeah maybe thats why i do a combination of typing and almost all singleplayer games

#

so im happy with tactiles as a middle ground

boreal vine
bronze summit
#

My end game keyboard isn't an HE

#

It's an HHKB/Topre

#

I just bought an HE because It was an impulse purchase

boreal vine
#

the context being?

boreal vine
#

pretty good stuff, but I think they're abit overglazed, they're normally prohibitably expensive for the EC versions, and they don't really offer that much of a benefit over MX

bronze summit
# boreal vine the context being?

I was planning on buying another mechanical keyboard but I got tired of buying shit for cosmetics, the 80HE at the time seemed to be the "New Standard of Gaming Keyboards"

granite sundial
boreal vine
#

you can get silent switchers like daydreamer tactiles that feels the same as topre

granite sundial
#

wooting has been the gaming keyboard of all time for years

bronze summit
boreal vine
granite sundial
#

of HE

bronze summit
#

There's cheaper alternatives.

bronze summit
#

Like I said impulse purchase

boreal vine
#

enthusiast doesn't want them, they'd rather have venom HE parts

granite sundial
#

my controller has hall effect sticks and theyre very nice, very smooth and responsive with no deadzone

boreal vine
#

budget gamers doesn't want them because there's alot of other better priced HE boards in the market

bronze summit
#

I personally treat the Wooting as it is, no modifications

boreal vine
bronze summit
boreal vine
#

plastic case for that price is crazy

bronze summit
#

I can't really say or do anything, I'm too lazy to sell my shit

granite sundial
#

yeah if u really want a prebuilt HE get a keychron

boreal vine
#

if you want a decent HE option in proper tkl format tigerlite gaming is a good pick, all together after the build it would be something like 150 all together

bronze summit
#

And I'm used to the 80HE already, if it becomes obsolete or gets thrown under the bus and it gets crushed I'll buy a replacement

abstract palm
#

Can someone tell me how much V ups I should get. I have a 850w power supply and a monitor

granite sundial
#

im surprised how many csgo players still use full size keyboards when they have keyboards sideways and shit to get more mousepad space

bronze summit
#

But for now it works, I've had it for a few months and it keeps me on edge.

granite sundial
#

why do u need a ups for the monitor lol

boreal vine
#

128 for everything, then just buy whatever keycap you want

#

it's a nice ABS case, with proper TKL format

granite sundial
#

what keycap brands are actually worth the money

boreal vine
#

you can even go tsangan on the thing if you really want to

bronze summit
#

lmao

boreal vine
hollow jungle
bronze summit
#

There's going to be defects in some brands just go for the one that strikes your fancy

granite sundial
#

best quality at their given price range

boreal vine
#

for most people I recommend aifei sets, they're not badly priced and they're decently priced

bronze summit
#

The only thing I regret about my 80HE Purchase

#

Is the lack of aftermarket parts

#

We only have one aftermarket case and that's it

boreal vine
boreal vine
#

😭

bronze summit
granite sundial
#

u dont need an aftermarket case if u hadnt spent 300 dollars on a plastic case

boreal vine
granite sundial
#

its 330 aud + shipping here

boreal vine
#

wouldn't even bother with the plate as it's HE, but theres a fuck ton of switches for it

#

not as much as MX, but a considerable amount, if you want tactile you can go for something like raeds

bronze summit
granite sundial
#

cables? is it not usb c?

bronze summit
granite sundial
#

idk from what i know polling rate is the main draw

#

cuz with 500+ fps youre getting less than 2 polls per frame average on 1khz

boreal vine
granite sundial
#

where u want 4+ polls per frame ideally iirc

bronze summit
boreal vine
#

they see "fastest" gaming keyboards and they think it would make them the next shroud / simple

granite sundial
#

yeah

bronze summit
#

I don't really appreciate the snide

boreal vine
granite sundial
#

never see them buy the 1500 dollar 600hz tn monitor though

bronze summit
#

So I'm getting off

boreal vine
#

maybe tariff affecting you? @bronze summit

#

if you live in the US

bronze summit
#

Listing error

granite sundial
#

lemme check for me

boreal vine
#

ah

granite sundial
#

red is 263.69 aud

boreal vine
#

Still, for the case price, you can quite literally get a tiger lite gaming 😭

bronze summit
#

But yea maybe you have a different perspective but this just feels like snide towards me for purchasing a Wooting 80HE, so I'm personally getting off

grizzled frost
#

is there anything wrong with an adapter like this

#

i really need more sata power

granite sundial
#

8 pin on the psu end? i dont think so

boreal vine
granite sundial
#

other way would be a lot more questionable

#

gpu doesnt matter if ur playing cs at 1080p lol

boreal vine
latent pasture
#

as long as the conversion is correct i dont see why not

bronze summit
boreal vine
bronze summit
#

And he's retired already

tidal geyser
granite sundial
#

if u have molex that would probably be better because it wouldnt require voltage being stepped down

boreal vine
#

didn't tenz come out of retirement to play for someone only to lose?

tidal geyser
latent pasture
bronze summit
# boreal vine can't imagine why

Because he had a successful career as a CS pro and decided to retire on his own accord as he's way past his prime age and to focus on his wife and kids.

granite sundial
#

yeah how much sata power do u need lol my psu has 8

latent pasture
#

actually nvm

tidal geyser
#

fyi cpu is 12v only

boreal vine
tidal geyser
#

if you got 5v drives like a SSD or something and that adapter FAILS GG

granite sundial
#

molex to sata would be way less sketchy

tidal geyser
#

or sata to sata

granite sundial
#

drives would be fine with sata to sata

#

pump i would want on its own cable

tidal geyser
bronze summit
tidal geyser
#

a pump uses less power then most HDDs

granite sundial
#

oh nvm d5 draws less power than i thought

boreal vine
#

I've seen him transfer to liquid iirc

granite sundial
#

less than 10 watts thats nuts for the flow it gets

boreal vine

oh nvm I'm mistaken, apparently not

i’m also already using 1 full psu port, and i need 21 more sata power cables

tidal geyser
boreal vine

grizzled frost

or is that just an antiquated idea

rigid fjord
boreal vine

I hate cs2 because of the way shooting feels, it feels unresponsive, like there's a noticable delay between the actions you do on screen and what actually registers, I believe this is due to the way it registers hit

I don't know maybe it's just me but it feels weird talking to you now

boreal vine
#

sorry for making you feel that way, I don't mean / intend to, genuinely

rigid fjord
#

@grizzled frost these are a no-no due to how they're sealed as it hides the connectors internally if they've been soldered or not, and if they short out

grizzled frost
#

so the exact ones you linked are okay?

#

the second link in your message to be specific

rigid fjord
grizzled frost
#

mkay, i’ll just get the molex to sata then

a bit cheaper than my og idea, nice

order placed, much obliged

rigid fjord
grizzled frost
#

sweet, just wanted to be safe

#

i’m all for stupid ideas, but i don’t like unsafe ones

#

though compared to what else i’m doing the molex to sata is tame

rigid fjord

molex to sata single extension, crimped only, and less likely to short

I’ve been fixing (reprinting parts) and upgrading it, as you can clearly see in the picture.
Now I’d like to know if I should go with klipper or marlin. I’ve got more experience using klipper, but I’m not sure if it will be too much for this printer. Ok, so to be clear the 1 and 2 have versions that can "mode swap" between BT and 2.4Ghz. They both also offer 2.4Ghz only models. Thats not the difference.

U2 gives you

-RGB
-Extra bumpers
-Trigger mode switch
-HE triggers
