C7/8 power cables just take power from the wall socket and deliver it straight to the device. If the device can't run on 120v / 240v from the wall, it will have an internal power transformer.

Audio impedence is a fiddly thing... but if the motherboard audio is intended to be outputted to a 3.5mm jack, you can expect it to be within "reasonable"
