GPU doesn't have 2x4 connector. It has 6, 6+2 (aka 8-pin) or the hpwr connectors

Correct as all the power goes to the only rail it has. Thats why theres some 12 pin to 12 pins thats just 1 cable for compatible psu

(I still rec using the 8 pins and adapter though for modern gpu that comes in the box)
