Then check if the temperatures change

rackmount cases are hell to work in, unless you go out of your way to have as few internal cables as possible

You have 2 different types of DP adapters active and passive and I do believe active ones are needed if you want a longer run of cable

passive will work fine for short runs

DP passive is 15meters

beyond that active is required

Basically the increase in iOPS from SSDs over HDDs was the BIGGEST difference and thus there isn't any real difference now between ssds aka newer/ffaster aren't really required as long as its a modern ssd you are fine
