any of yall think that the 8000 series oem amd is worth it over the 7000 series due to just the lower cost at the sacrific of pcie lines and the use of gen 4.0 instead of 5.0 also with essentially half the l3 cache?
cause cache seems to affect mostly gaming and im still debating on what to purchase in the future between the 8700f and the 7700
if i needed to i could choose the very cheap and neutered 8400f for about 85 usd and its still about 40ish percent better than my current cpu about aggregate but is still worse than the 5700x that is on the same socket that i am currently on, but stuff like the 7700 beats my cpu by about 90 percent currently and the 8700f about only 80 percent improvment
cause im still currently on pcie 3.0 so its an upgrade either way and also since im still on zen+ and plan to either upgradr to if really nessecary to zen 3 (5000 series) or zen 4 (7000/8000) series
for the 5700x i can get it for 92 usd before tax, 8700f for 137 usd before tax, and 7700 for about 151 usd before tax
im also planning a strict 65w tdp limit aka 88w ish ppt limit in terms of upgrade in which these are all espically from my previous 105w tdp aka 142w ppt and for that all those options i just listed are at the 88w ish ppt limit

Another thing why I don't run my Server 24/7 is that power outages are common here yes tailscale is good but if I can just upload it either on ig and fb for free why not

And actually use the SERVER as my backup for videos and photos of my clients
