I mean if you wanna be REALLY Pedantic....
That's why air coolers which do use a liquid if they have wicking technology never have any issues with evaporation
how much water do modern AIOs lose
i have a 10+ year old aio with nothing special to the tubes and it still works
As far as I remember I could be incorrect but it's not about the fact that they don't lose much water cuz they really don't lose much of anything Just a couple of little bubbles going into that pump could be enough to kill it.
I would also say 10 years ago something that you purchased is probably better quality with how it was made and something you buy now.... That's my own personal experience buying stuff though
I have a top mounted AIO with top mounted tubes on my pump
Physics tells me not to trust the last image. xD
A lot of PC builds online (including manufacturer photos & NR200P builds) incorrectly mount AIO liquid coolers, leading to pump noise/whine and early cooler failure.

FOLLOW-UP answering common questions from the comments in th...
what
physics tells me air goes up
What happens if an air bubble forms on the tube going back towards the pump with the water? Not the one pushing the water to the radiator the one pulling it back to the pump
If the air bubble forms inside that tube it goes up towards the pump not down and then up the radiator
it cant
air goes to the highest point in the loop
You did not read what I said You responded instantly
Water evaporates through the tubes That's where the air forms It starts off in those tubes cuz that's where it's evaporating from
air bubbles cant just decide form
It evaporates through the tubes not your metal radiator
it will dissolve into the water and then release at the highest point
Literally every video talking about AIOs says this
no shit
but what does that have to do with this
If it evaporates in the tube going to the pump that is the highest point right there unless it gets shoved out by the water and get pushed all the way back down the other side of the loop
wsg sherlock
I say top mount only Xd
So, how's the Acer Nitro V15?
That case can top mount too so.
You can move two of those exhuast fans to the front as intake and then top mount the AIO
I'm buying it to replace my TUF which I shorted
yeah it goes to the highest point which is this
So when evaporates inside the tube returning to the pump it's going to pass through the entire loop and then just undissolve and turn into a bubble inside the radiator?
You just said yourself It can't just decide to form bubbles
yeah in the middle of the tube due to leakage from the tube
but it can create pockets at the highest point
What's to stop it with that image forming air bubbles in the middle of the loop since that is now higher than the pump
its not?
It doesn't work like that
The start of the tubes coming out of the pump go upwards over the pump and then back down
highest point is highest point
Should i use 2x8pin to 12pin adapter or 12pin cable directly to my 5070ti? I don't want to catch a fire. My psu is rm850x shift
when i say HIGHEST point i mean it
So it will push all of that air from the pump up into the tube and then it will push all of the air to the bottom of the radiator?
You're not answering the questions I'm asking You're just staying highest point over and over if you're not going to actually answer a legitimate question what is the point of this conversation
if it has 12pin use that if not 2x8 to 12
Small amounts of air does not significantly affect anything
If the air forms in the tube and then goes to the pump the pump is then going to take that air and push it down the entire tube into the radiator?
Literally yes
Then what is the point of bottom mounting those tubes instead of top mounting the tubes?
With how little water AIOs actually use what is the benefit of changing the location to the bottom when the case has the ability to top mount the entire AIO?
i sent you a video
...... Because if it's top (well, front but with hoses at top) mounted, it will get a lot of air
If you're taking it off anyways move it to the top of the case....
Take to take fans off the top put the Ariel on the top of the case and then put the other fans on the side as intake
Why does the orientation of the tubes change the amount of evaporated water?
That doesn't make sense to me
you bought your computers mostly for looks
you have a 360mm aio he does not
...... Stop talking about evaporated water.
And I put all of my stuff on top
his case has 3 fans up top but only 2 up front
AIO has water and air.
Why does the orientation of top tubes versus bottom tubes change the amount of air
Water is heavier than air
in his case it looks better for the radiator to be front
So there's already air in the system like a significant amount?
I thought it was pretty airtight to begin with
Because water goes down due to gravity
That part I did not know.
gasses can also dissolve into water and not be bubbles
There will always be some air
but then after time and heat become bubbles but usually make those at the highest point
pressurized AIO
Yes several of my components I did purchase for looks however if you wanted to build a computer capable of operating like mine. You're still going to end up with a system about the same price due to how much higher the 5090s have gone up in price...
not real but funny
Vacuum filled.
I don't wanna top mount the AIO though cause it's a 240mm
If I ever get a 360 then maybe
I didn't purchase any of my components for looks
exactly
How much did your system cost?
I did hardline RGB water cooling for purely practical purposes
Mine or theirs?
you
My MSI meg x870e godlike is the most practical motherboard
wat
I got the 6800 when you could still get them for $400
Huh?
@tidal geyser you see my new DC electronic load?
I'm slow I'm sorry lol
About tree fiddy
as in you have a 240mm now and it looks best how it is now
yus
thats my homemade standby switch
No, tree fiddy. I am a monster from the paleolithic era
Bruh
That ain't no girl scout! That's the got dang loch ness monsta!
guess how much mine costed
Can you make a homemade PCB that balances the power and reverse mounts the 5090 connector lol
Sleeper can't guess
2500 whole setup
But based off image... $150
for whole setup
I have absolutely no idea what components you have
ooooh beautiful
whole setup EVERYTHING but ofc table and such
r5 3600
gtx 1650 super
512GB nvme ssd
16GB ram
basic 1080p display and mouse and keyboard
the only power switch it came with is on the back, so i added my own switch that can safely handle 120V and put it inline to the 120V transformer windings. works pretty well so far
Mkay like $200 then
not that first one was more like it
but its not my actual setup but rather a REALLY good deal
1650 and a 3600 would total like $150 used no?
it was 162$
nop
Oh wait I got that mixed with 5600
1650 super is like 50-100$ and the r5 3600 is around 50-60$
it even have a 80+ platinum psu
but the main thing that makes me happy is that it has a 6+2 pin pcie cable
so i can even put a 4070 in here
no wait
fuck nvidia
Lmao
I like Cuda, but I have an issue where everything has to match, so I ended up going all AMD
welp best gpu without doing more then its meant to would be something like a rx 7600
the 6+2 pin is only meant for 150w
it can do like 2x that
but if im selling it i do not want to do such
but i was right there are 8 pin 4070
6+2 pin pcie is the actual name but most use 8 pin for the name
Oh right Nvidia has their weird connectors
i hate it
I didn't have any on my 3080ti, I guess the 3000 series was the last before they switch connectors
nop
Think it was an 8 pin
rtx 3000 had 12 pin cards
Gotta love EVGA
tbf most were normal
ah
evga wanted or i think made some with 2 12 pin
even they knew way before it was a shit connector
should i get the project meta iem by crinacle as a blessing alternative
pretty much only the founders cards had the 12 pin
i know for a fact that sadly is not really true
Oh, is videocardbenchmark a decent site for performance numbers?
all the proper XOC cards of the 30 series used 8 pins minus the KPE card
had a friend i had to spend like 8hrs trying to find and then him buying a 12pin non 12vhpwer since the extra sense pins would not fit
FzR go to bed
that too
4am for me lol
almost 5
JESUS sleep do that now
I forget you’re not EST lmao
Not like I have anything to do tomorrow lol
i just got back home from colorado my sleep schedule is 2 hours worse than it was before
I got less than 5 hours of sleep last night, about to start my 12 hour shift 🫡
I put all the parts of my PC in a PC part picker list with tax included as I edited every price. I'm still rounding to nearest dollar but yeah
have you slept today
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, GeForce RTX 5090, Cooler Master HAF 700 EVO ATX Full Tower
today... no
pleas do that
just got home from the cigar lounge an hour ago
But that's not including my 140 dollar desk or my 1467 TV or the chair + monitor I'm going to buy next
FzR buy PoE 2
no

i gotta buy my little brother HD2 first
mmm 9800x3d
he wants to play that with me
The full setup should be about 10,004 bucks lol
PoE++ is ok but PoE+++ is something you can do some real fun things with
AMD please give Microcenter a 9600X3D thank youu
They have a crap ton of them hello
do you need X3D
Yes I do
That's been the only reliable place to buy one the past 4 months lol
I have the 7600X3D and I wanted the 9000 series because the improvements just from the cache redesign are crazy good
Columbus Ohio had 500+ on January 30th. That's what one of the managers told me. Their shelves were stocked full they had 4 shelves of them
don’t need an X3D cpu if you’re never cpu bound
What's your closest micro center I will look on their website rn
That's not how cache works...
this would be the most pointless upgrade in history lmfao
St. Davis pa has 9800s for below MSRP
Also you can overclock the 9000 series
What is your closest micro center?
not that you’d be overclocking in any meaningful way on ambient
Didn't say I would said I wanted to, it's a big money for 1 generation
Bro what is your problem
Just check their website put in your closest micro center and see if they have it

Is the 9600X3D out?
I haven't heard any info on it, and I don't see it in stock near me
chillin on a 7700x waiting on Zen 6
No it doesn't exist
what
Every Microcenter has 25+ 9800x3d
I already have a 7600X3D I'm probably not gonna upgrade I was just curious about the 9600X3D 😂
o no wait 9600X3D is a no 7600X3D is
If your upgrading go 9800x3d they are 460 at microcenter
They are literally below MSRP lol
$460 isn't worth an upgrade to me, if they had like a $350 9600X3D I think that would be worth it to me
no r5 7600
nah lmao
I don't think a 9600 X3D is even going to be produced
unless you have a 5090 at 1080p cpu does not matter too much for gaming
I got my 7600X3D for $300 on my Birthday 2 months ago 😄
Zen4X3D to Zen5X3D would not be worth the money
only a 9800X3D would be a major upgrade if you had a HIGH end gpu and low res monitor
Tell that to the 285k in 4k getting like 45% less fps then the 9800 lol
what
3d vcache delivers frames in every game I play so to me the 3d vcache is worth the money
right but I’m telling you that upgrade wouldn’t do much lmfao
you mean 2.5%
$$$ for maybe a few %
I went from a 5700 to a 5700x3d when I was on AM4 and got about a 10 fps boost on average, and that's worth it to me
what gpu
6800
monitor res
Yeah that’s non-X3D to X3D. X3D to X3D isn’t nearly as much of a jump
1440p
ffs lmfao
you were gpu limited
upgrade your gpu first
It would be hella expensive to upgrade meaningfully
you should have just stayed on 5700X3D
I'm eyeing a 7900XTX
why no 9070 xt
I didn't know that said 5090 my bad bro
Because less rasta, less vram, and I don't use raytracing
so you’d rather spend $400 to make a non meaningful upgrade? lol
ok fine its not a 5090 but eh close enough
anyways the difference is max like 5%
They’re almost identical raster performance in 1440p
Intel is having core parking issues with their pcores and e cores too lmao
XTX wins handily at 4K tho
better upscaling
Nobody should be using upscaling at 1440p anyway
amd also kinda has the same issues but that is only on the ryzen 9s
I was wanting to do the CPU before GPU cause I can afford $400 a lot more than $1000 and if it gives me the same bump that I got from a 5700 to a 5700X3D it's worth it to me
Not as much with the 9950x3d anymore
at launch day the 9070 xt was 600$
it still happens
If you could buy it yes
It won’t and that’s a backwards mentality lol
Unless you leave Windows balanced power mode. But even then it's not bad like it was
but yea not as much
you could at launch day
I tried
Honestly I'm considering upgrading myself because I do creator stuff
Order was cancelled
and now some MCs are getting close ish stuff to the price
I don't need the extra cores but it would make my life a little easier XD
I'd still rather have the Xtx though
but yeah gpu upgrade is the priority for you imo
If you want to guarantee you're availability to purchase a specific item on the day of launch when it relates to computer parts you need to go camp out at a micro center
That is the only way to 100% guarantee that you are going to get what you want on the day of launch these days
i have the XTX and its nice but i think the 9070 xt will be way nicer for you
What GPU does he even have
I know GPU would be a better difference, but I still think I would get at least a 10fps bump if I went to 9000 series
rx6800
Bruh
If you send the same amount of money upgrading your GPU you're going to get a 50 FPS jump .-.
$400 for 10fps is not worth the money
And a higher resolution
Why do you think the 9070 XT would be nicer?
It is to me
I cant get a better GPU for $400
better upscaler by a lot and ai shit at the same time as it is way better with memory management and so on
incorrect but 👍
used rx 7800 xt
It’s close in 1440p but loses in 4K
I don't really like upscaling I usually keep it off
yeah amd is shit
I have a 6800
Price to performance I'm not wrong. If you can get one of those cheaper ones at 650-700 vrs a 1000 dollar 7900xtx lol
yeah link me a $700 9070XT in stock rn
The 7800 XT has about the same DX 12 performance
Hell a 5070 would be an upgrad
At least according to everything I've seen
dx 12?
I don't think I can link you any 9070xt in stock anywhere
and XTX’s haven’t been $1000 in awhile. They’ve been going for $600-700 second hand
dat is 550+
Direct X 12 applications
link
But I can link you probably about 40 different 5070/5070ti in stock at microcenter
only 2x msrp?
Idk how legit this site is so you can be the judge if you like
Honestly I would never buy a second hand graphics card.
Not even 1.5 times MSRP
I personally value having a warranty stuff that I buy incase something goes wrong
average 5080 owner hearing this:
this is not gaming performance
good joke
right lmfao
"and kiss something "
you and me both'
second hand is love, second hand is life
I guess I'll look at game benchmarks next
I apologize I have a little bit of an accent and I am using voice to text
wut
Voice to text does not like my accent sometimes
I think my favorite thing about being scheduled to come into work at 6am is watching literally every coworker scheduled at the same time come in late
i think i have bought over 300 things now
no why are you using that and not typing
hell i just sent off my ally to asus yesterday for warranty repairs
I am, my hands are in quite a lot of pain right now
how many things were wrong
well idk how messed up it got when it got fried
Did you document everything so they don't try to charge you money to fix it xD
Asus the scam warranty
since it was under warranty i didnt tear it down to see the damage myself
You should have
@tidal geyser https://www.techspot.com/review/2734-amd-radeon-7800-xt/
They tried to charge gamers Nexus for something completely not related to the warranty....
well you are in the US right
I wish you luck
They describe the 7800 XT as having very similar performance to that of the 6800 XT
i know the issue and if asus tried to charge me for the repairs ill pass it on to baseus
You should just be able to say no and they should respect that if you say no to things you're not sending it in for
i know either the VRM or charging circuit detonated
They did basically respect saying no when it came to gamers Nexus even though they had to say it multiple times
DETONATED lol. Bro it just exploded
i saw a small flash of light throught the clear case i had on it and it smelled burnt
If I had contacts inside of ASUS like you do I would just buy Asus products lol
yeah xt
I'm still thinking of buying their 480 Hertz WOLED 1440p monitor
It's like literally the best on the market currently
according to you you wouldnt, the stuff i get from asus is as is with asus denying all things related to them with a 10 foot pole
I genuinely can’t imagine anything higher than 240Hz being worth the money
I'm saying like if I had a contact I could just message and be like hey I sent it in for this why they trying to charge me for that
I can't see over like 160ish
like my apex z590 asus would deny outright to even touch it
But frankly after seeing the story of Asus trying to charge someone nearly $4,800 to warranty of 4090 that's crazy
like when I went from 144hz to 240hz I was like “this is nice, but not insanely better”. I’m on 144hz again and had no issues “downgrading” lol.
I don't notice the diff between 160 and 180
its funny, one of my cousins got a 360hz over the 240hz i have but when i came over for some event he barely went over 240 in anything
I have plenty of games that will easily run that fps. Fortnite among them and lower res marvel rivals lol
yeah lol
I also have several older games that I play that will go that fast where the higher FPS actually helps.
4K 144Hz > 1440p 240Hz imo
144 is not even enough in 4K for my games
that kinda stops the point of getting a oled at least soem of em
Some of my games running at 300+ in 4k max settings
anything after 144hz is kinda too small of a difference to care
Warframe lol
the hz of the panel does not need to match the amount you can give out
Not to my eyes
And I play like 90% tac shooters
I literally still can't play Warframe because it just feels laggy at 120 FPS
one thing i do wonder about, where the hell do you get so much money from
I'm used to playing at a constant 240. I can feel the input lag
gambling
i hope not
House is paid off, car is paid off
I'm actually mad that frame gen exists
It's literally just all of the things here are just kind of paid off
I contribute to the electricity bill and the Wi-Fi bill of where I live but literally everything else is paid off so I can just save money
When I went from 240 back to 144 I was adjusted in under a day
What do u guys think about the 7600xt?
Solid unit
mid
what is your job
blud didnt do his research
sad
I've been getting on it everyday for a couple of weeks now and I still haven't adjusted and I don't like it
he does
That's like 1080p high settings
Well my job was maintenance at an airport but the work environment became too toxic for me so I quit on Monday
o wow
I have an interview tomorrow at a job offering 80k starting
1080p and High Settings is lowkey an oxymoron
🙄
not like that was what i did for a few years
I view 1080p now the same way I did 720p awhile back lol
laptops
I play Warframe which runs at nearly 300 FPS in 4K. Higher FPS in extremely fast-paced gameplay in Warframe really helps....
I play Star Trek online PVP and when it comes to that game activating something a fraction of a millisecond late can lead to your entire team losing the premade match
The more FPS I have the sooner I am visually seeing what is actually happening so I can respond to it
what other resolutions are people playing at? thats like 15% free
720 I guess?
stretched res CS players
Or laptops and stuff with custom screen sizes
steamdeck is 800p
ultrawide
Fortnite will also easily hit 480 FPS in 1440p with a 5090 and a 9800x3d.
Can ur monitor even handle 300 fps at 4k tho? usually its 60 no?
ah yes
okay, not to nitpick, but as a human, you don't have the ability to gauge things on a nanosecond scale
120 and it's a TV. So no it cannot even display that FPS
lol
I'll never have 400fps in Fortnite, I like nanite
The benefit of 4K is being able to use upscaling and it not look like shit
120fps 4k must be a dream
i love my 180hz 1440p monitor that i got like a month ago
AOC is a budget king it was 230 bucks for 180hz 1440p
No that is a completely valid thing to say I am not able to react in that length of time but the quicker I can actually have it displayed instead of waiting 10 milliseconds or 15 milliseconds for it to be displayed If I can wait 1 or 2ms. Because that's the time it's taking my GPU to render the frames I can respond that much faster.
I just spent $900 on my display last week lmao
Nanite?
the 27AQ1A?
Fortnite rt
I mean if I just turn on upscalling and I turn off like three settings I get nearly 400 in 4K lol
was looking into that one
I think so
god
what gpu do you have?
This is everything 100% maxed with DLSS 4 transformer model on performance
I've had a lot of people from the Fortnite community Tell me that just having that counter on lowers it by 20 to 30 FPS
I have an RTX 5090.
aka you now have 1 kidney?
If I put setting on minimum I get nearly 500 in 4k lol
No? How much do you think I paid for it
I wish I hadn't gotten it
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, GeForce RTX 5090, Cooler Master HAF 700 EVO ATX Full Tower
I think it's a VA panel and I like IPS better
a kidney lol
Price of every single part I paid including tax rounded to the nearest dollar
i love my steamdeck ngl
I’ll consider a 5090 if any become readily available near MSRP
I know what you were getting at, I just haven't had enough coffee yet, so I'm on my default setting of pedantic
No worries I like it
thats more than a kidney wtf
finally figured out my springs now just to make it so it doesn’t flex
Gemini says it's an IPS so I guess I'll trust it
Just bought a rtx 2070
turding
decent card
i want an oled monitor so bad
The average cost of a kidney transplant is $440,000 USD
pretty dope feature ngl
You know that on average, AIs are wrong 67% o the time, right?
how do you know this
same
That's the joke
i’d be happy enough if i had a 2070
You can look it up. Also my grandpa has one years ago lol
It costs more then me 2080
depend on what tbh
im tryna get a summer job this summer just so i can get an oled monitor lol
Nice OLED monitors can be had for ~$500, cheaper if you find em on sale
Both of his kidneys failed so he needed a kidney transplant cuz he didn't want to deal with dialysis
doh...
that’s a really specific number but sounds about right
I should go back to bed
My 120hz OLED 4k is great
what??
I agree
mhm
How much would like a 240hz 1440p oled go for
Mine too 😄
i like ai, its pretty nice to help me study since it can make notes quite easily and it explain shit quite well usually
Final fantasy 120hz 4k OLED
600ish
I bought a 1440p 240Hz QD-OLED for $400 on Black Friday
im viewing this through my shitty school laptop but oh my god i love that
Get into the world of E-Sports and become the next legend with the AGON PRO AG276QZD2 27-inch class OLED gaming monitor, equipped with all the features you need to claim victory as the next legend. Its QHD 2460x1440 resolution, OLED display panel offers superb picture quality and sharp imagery to...
That's a 65-in TV so you can gauge the size of the PC on the other side
OLED is more attainable than ever rn
But for gaming, I prefer my 240Hz 1440p oled 🙂
240 hz is just too slow for the games I play.
Yeah, I'd agree with this.
I went from a 27” 1440p 240Hz OLED to a 42” 4K 144Hz OLED lmao
I bought a 5090 and I honestly want to utilize it 100% fully so I want to get a monitor where I don't have to cap my FPS lol
ah yes anime girls
I might as well sell my 90 and go down to an 80 if I'm only going to go 240 lol
130usd
yeah gamer marketing go hard
So you play at 1080p or 1440p?
Sim know any good 480hz 1440p OLEDs?
4k and almost every single game I play goes over to 240 as it is
The only games that don't is Fortnite and marvel rivals and monster hunter wilds
Can you see that high?
I can.
You know that frame timing still benefits you even if the monitor can't display them all, right?
I can see into the future.
Then again I've also been competitively gaming for the past 15 years from console to pc
He’s somehow convinced himself 240Hz is too slow
Oh definitely Ik it does
I don't cap it in any of those games currently and it does actually give me a noticeable difference but even at that some of them still feel choppy and I don't like it lol
like, seeing all those frames doesn't matter, what matters is that you see the most up to date frames
I the game feels choppy, that's because 50 series has MISERABLE frame time spikes
I cap my framerate to whatever my 1% lows are in competitive games
FPS fluctuations in games like Val and CS piss me off
Marvel rivals be like.
Bruh?
Imagine being able to hit 480 FPS but then you cap yourself to 120 cuz that's what your 1% was
I can hit like 700fps in Val and I cap it to 240 lmao
FPS fluctuations make me literally want to cry
for real
If you have a card that hits 480, but your 1% lows are 120, something is SERIOUSLY wrong
That too
That was an example but yeah
Then again Mac just said they can hit 700 but they're capping it to 240
Even with G Sync/Free Sync I always like to cap it, and I hate when a game doesn't let me cap the framerate
but yeah even if my fps is constantly over my refresh rate, if it’s fluctuating constantly I can feel it and it annoys me
I don't ever use any type of sync cuz I've never had a display with it before xD
But seriously, if you feel like your games are choppy at the frames you play at, more fps isn't going to help. You're experiencing the 50 series driver problems
I’d rather be locked at 250 than be bouncing between 400 and 700 constantly
I swear you get microstutters without a cap, even with G Sync
Idk if it's microstutters but its something
I cap with gsync. things are perfectly smooth, and my frametimes flatten out
It's not exactly choppy It's hard to describe. It feels like frame generation on times 4 with 50ms delay.
I'm just used to 240. I've been playing for the past 4 years with 240 on my laptop.
And even though my PC got a significant upgrade and so did my display it's FPS got cut in half for what it can actually display
Even if I do see the most up to date is still feels laggy to me
I do get what you're saying. When I switched from plasma to oled, I felt that. Plasma is soooo much faster than oled, and oled felt sluggish
It took weeks to get used to oled's display speed
I've never even heard of plasma now I gotta look that up
You know what's funny about that statement
were you born after 2010
plasma was the shit back in the day but it never went over 1080p 60Hz
The fact that OLED is displayed at .01 milliseconds to .03ms. and plsma is sub .01
No, i'm just dumb
If you're noticing the difference between that....
(except for a few models)
lol... I guess I stepped in it
Now that I’ve been on OLED though I don’t think I could go back to a non OLED main display
whats the point of having ports in the front of the case if it cant even reach the mobo?
It's also really just I purchase a 5090 I spent over $6,500 on just this PC not including any peripherals. I want to 100% fully utilize it in every game I play
That makes sense. And finding the perfect display is the next thing you need to do
I got my TV for the main reason that I kind of needed a TV. My old one was broken but the second reason was for my more cinematic games which is why I chose to go with OLED or my racing games where the fps doesn't bug me
I only know of two displays that exist at 480hz 1440p
Maybe 3
Asus
LG
Samsung
I joined the 42” OLED TV as a monitor gang personally
i would do ultrawide
Ultra wide is cringe
no u
There will only be Samsung and LG panels that do that. You should research the panel tech and see which you prefer.
Personally, I prefer LG panels to Samsung
Just get a 42” OLED TV
my own plans was ultrawide but that qd oled i have now was just too cheap to not go for instead
I’m selling mine soon lol
I mean those 3 brands are the only brands that I've seen have monitors that are even at that speed
Want another one?
MSI is coming out with a 500 in q2
Yeah I don't get the appeal of Ultra Wide either
ever used one
yeah
I have I hate it
I hate them
Spent 2 days messing with one at microcenter while I was in line xD
my father got one and i have used it for a week and man games just feel so good with it
I love not being able to see 15% of each edge
All of these use the same LG panel
that is what makes it so good
For office work it's nice, but every thing else I don't like it
nah
it truly feels like you are in the game
for me with a flat i still do get that feeling ofc but not as much
ultrawide ftw
They are all woled?
you can only really see the benefit while using it
I run a 45" ultrawide and its the best
They're not tall enough for me
If I want to be that much in the game I'll put my VR headset on lol
xd
that is one of the issues
i know what panel you want
this not enough
That would work if I had the room
oooo what is that?
55" Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen. 4K UHD 165Hz 1ms(GtG) Quantum Mini-LED Curved Gaming Screen
sleep in a hammock. make the room
I like having 3 screens better than one huge one
Discord on the right, Stats on the left, and then the main
ahh... I couldn't go down to 165Hz
Lowkey a good idea
Ama start sleep on the couch
lmao
I have a huge screen... plus two 24s on the side
Cs major? 💀
author
keep in mind i think this is mostly limited due to 2.1 being so new
Ok respect 🫡
major... I don't even remember college anymore.
I like writing stories but only like 5 pages and then I throw it away and never touch that idea again lol
Could never be an author
First u need a table sir
Yeah... has a 5090 and that janky-ass table. You gotta fix that
May I ask for your book name
As long as not too long 🥹
6.5k pc and like 100$ table
na probs 200$
The book name cant be too long? lol
I've published 125 books
The book itself 😭 the biggest book I read was probably 300pages so hopefully smaller than that
Rika Outcast would be a good one. The books in that series are a bit under 300 pages each
That’s actually very cool 🫡🫡🫡
thanks 🙂
Good morning chat
Not on Amazon 🫥 where can I find it
Morning
I have a 65 inch tv in my bedroom too
Rika Outcast is absolutely on Amazon
I love it
WHAT TF
It's not an issue with the desk It's an issue with having a 65 inch TV and a massive PC case on the desk
Oh apologies I typed wrong
The cover that we took off of it broke when we took it off. We had to replace the outlet
Thank you very much
how old is the pic
Was a stupid plastic one. I litteraly just took it
you're welcome 🙂
We replaced the outlet today
you said you replaced it
o wow
ffs
My dad wanted to work on painting the wall and shoved my bed forward slamming it into my power brick breaking the new outlet again. That's literally how the first one broke too xD
a European plug would brobs break the bed
Actually
I will be ordering it as soon as my wallet recovers from the Kafka series 🥹
Outlets tend to be stronger than that?
Please don't be buying the cheapest outlets at the store
They wear out so much faster
It wasn't cheap lmao he slammed the bed forwards
Dunno why he pushed it so hard it has wheels...
He slammed it okay
Yeah xD
We have a couple hospital type plugs and I'll say Jesus
PC was plugged there too. It just turned off
well there is a good reason why
So now it's plugged into an extension cord into a different outlet connected to a light switch
Sobbing
Im just saying they are made really good usually
I mean I could fit a 32 inch there. I would just have to move the TV over more
yup
Get the once that are like skinny on the tip and the wire goes downwards
We have like a 45 inch in our shop but I literally sit further from it than my bedroom tv and I have to wear my glasses to read it
woot! just sold this little computer 😄
6600 with a xeon
why does it look like its almost just one stick of ram
she is doing a war crime
The other stick doesn't have a heat shield on it because it sits under the fan
like WTF
its a 4 channel cpu with 2 sticks
Also can I comment on
WTFFFFFF
mhmmmm
CMON
your point being?
4 channels
How bad this is? I told my friend to stay far away from this one
its one of the rare times there 4 sticks will net a good improvment
The 6400 and 8 gigs of ram for almost 700?
Honestly I can probably swing a 32
You realize that using all 4 channels is slower than 2, right?
It would be faster for high-memory utilization tasks, but for things like gaming, it's slower
i hope that is cad
Are there any 480 Hertz 32 inch monitors?
Absolutely not. USD I'm not even sure it'd be worth it CAD
4 sticks on a 2 channel yeah ofc but that cpu is made to use all 4 channels
its hardly worth half that
It's only 2 sticks of ram I promise....
It's a bit random, yes. I'm moving, so I put what I have into PCs to sell. This xeon has a white mobo, so there it is.
Its an E5-2643 V4, so around R3600 performance.
You can get a ryzen 7 5700 with ax 6600 for that price
That’s what I’m rocking
I told them to stay far away. The pc i sold was literally like better. 16 gigs and a 1070 same process tho
That's not exactly how it works.
For example I have a dual E5-2699 server and it can use 8 channels of ram. I have it using 4 because its literally faster for the tasks I throw at it with 4 channels used than 8
what
I may have done it for no reason but I got 64 gigs but u could save another 80 to 100 if you go with 16
There's so much information out there about this... this is not new
read, my guy. DUAL
well yeah in that case it makes sense
yeah, when you read what I actually wrote, it makes sense
Ooooo
Chat random questions
Is 7600 better or 3060
Found 7600 for cheaper tho
3060 should be better iirc than 6700
having to communicate between cpus will always do wonky things
but i am talking about a single cpu
No sir 7600
with 4 channels, using 2 vs 4
I was thinking about the 6600 but yeah go for the 7600 then
4 channels used causes the same sort of issues as 2 channels using 4 sticks (though there are some other nuances)
Oke doke
@jagged hazel i feel like we taking dumb people stuff compared to them 😭
hello @trim idol
If it was doing server tasks and running ECC, then you run slower ram, more stable ram for the increased width on the bus and large transfers.
With gaming, you want faster, because you don't actually need to use gargantuan amounts of ram on a super-wide bus, you want speed
How you doin! 😄
Eh it's still a conversation the average person doesn't understand
Hence 2 channels vs 4
I'm well! ❤️ How're you?
having a rough ass week but we ball, i bought 4 more keyboards
wow! the addiction is scaling up!
1% lows from what i can see can get a uplift up to 50%
indeed indeed
And I’m proudly under average 🫡 mostly cuz I can’t remember shit that’s important
did not really find anything for that cpu but found this
Tofu60, Faux Walnut, OwlLabs Tungsten Switches Fr4 Plate
Monsgeek m3
AKC087
Irok87 NA (HE)
Im alright with it all atleast you know what a gpu is
that's not really conclusive. In one game the fastest config was the second slowest in another.
ooo the Tofu sounds cool
I've got a keycap in mind for it
🫥 hey man grew up with techsourse
well yeah but why would it not be better when you get 2 more sticks that get a entire channel for themselves
I give up...
You're right. I'll slap in another $50 ram for this $400 pc so that you'll be happy
so that the $400 gaming pc gets 5 more fps in tomb raider
Are there any 480hz 32 inch monitors?
1% lows for some games
Sure, $20 more
I'm already taking a loss on this system because I have to sell stuff before I move. I'll just take a larger loss so you're happy
Sobbing
I could swing a 32. But are 32-in monitors recommended for competitive gameplay when your sitting in a chair close to them?
I would think 24-27 is the sweet spot
wait 400 for a xeon on par with a r5 3600 and rx 6600
o well i will just chuck it up to the Norway market being good
They do make 31.5" 480 hz monitors
Idk which caps to put
Any in 1440p?
na all i said is just like it has 4 channels one of the rare times it has it and not using it
Hey
its a brand new 6600, a brand new nvme, a brand new jonsbo case, new fans, new cooler, white PSU
the case, mobo, cpu, and gpu cost $400
Pretty sure most of them are 4k but you could just look them up online. You might could find one
it's using some fuck ass 7 u keycap :^)
PC part picker doesn't even show any in that size lol
I'd find faux walnut caps 😄
I cleaned out the dust filters for my GPU and CPU AIOs, and dropped 10C and 15C respectively in temps
walnut on walnut kinda not vibing with me for this build tbh
r5 3600
gtx 1650 super
512GB nvme ssd
16GB ram
basic 1080p display and mouse and keyboard
all this i got for 160 soo it kinda has broken my scale of what truly is a normal deal and what is this kinda deal, the pc also has a 6+2 pin sooo its possible to even add in a 4070 or smn
Daily reminder to regularly dust out your computer, unlike me
no thanks
How often is regularly
I'm told every 2 months or so is pretty good
bro whta no
getting a great deal like that doesn't reset the norm.
Also, the system I'm selling is 50% new components
real
i do it like every year
i do it if i have to swap out something but thats also if i can be bothered
or have a bottom drawing case and barely worry about it 🤷♀️
What music app should I use YouTube or Apple music? Rn I just have my YouTube auto made playlist
It only takes me like 20 minutes at most to properly dust out my PC.
What is better, revance YouTube music or Apple music subscription (have both)
well yeah i did say it does not change the norm anyways i go mostly used to provide the best deal while also being able to test everything so the consumer does not need to in the case something were to actualy be the danger of buying used and broken or tampered with
I use Youtube personally, because I like being able to download lectures on my phone and listen to them add free
I use yt music
maybe thats 1 reson why cpu temps high on my pc since i have not cleen since i installed my 4790k
Comes free with premium
Any advantage to Apple music?
i hope that was back in 2014
My family has an apple music subscription
Idk if I want my family to know my music tho ngl
sadly no
dam
Daily? I open the side panel and fire some compressed air every few months
Just use that then. It’s not that deep on what music app to choose
it takes me no time to dust mine, when there's no dust
take out the filter, blow it, slap it back on every like 6 months
i have a case with no filters, it gets dusty
so the dust that came from the room you blow out in the room then turn the pc back on?
especially given i have two dogs
Exactly lol
yeah same
I wrote a poem
so you take out the dust then put it back in
It takes a while to get sucked back up though
wow i like discord new theme
I pull my PC out into my garage and hit it with my air compressor
i have a small air purifier in my room but it doesn’t do a whole lot
if i do a deep dusting the computer is going outside
i should get one
useless
I'd be scared I'd blow off a fan fin lmao
just open the window
im going to get 1440p 240hz monitor for rtx 3060 pc im a crazy?
How much psi?
funny thing about that
kinda but not fully
Where does zawg live
southern US
its good for future
i can barely breathe outside rn cause of all the pollen
Norway but the window i have is very tiny
ok well then it may not be useless
my allergies are trying to kill me
anyways the dust will still fall inside
Know what looks amazing on an OLED tv.
Anime
i can see the outline of my gpu on my side panel in dust
xd
Avatar would be amazing on this top
a bit of dust always sticks to the glass
good hand wipe does the trick to get rid of the visible dust
black side panels so it shows really quickly
Open a window in the room next to yours
mine is just under the desk so i do not care
there is non
What the heck
i have mine on my desk because i like admiring it
i have a very tiny apartment, one small window i can open and another massive one that i cant
My pc is in my desk
ama try and show while im at school and not doxing myself
Imagine
It gets adequate airflow. If I ever get the 9070XT It won't be able to stay in my desk anymore

Because my pc will be drawing twice as much wattage then
time to cut holes 😄
And then I'd be worried about temps
Well the back and front is already completely open so rn it's fine but under my desk gets a couple degrees warmer
the first one
ahh gotcha
yeah that is the window i can open
yeah thats perfect
Not the art of war /hj
for letting the dust in yea
i have a air heat exchanger meaning there is negativ pressure in there
aka it will draw in dust
One creates dust themselves
False
damn

What's false
his brain
Wow
owo
How so
You shed
skin
Dead skin hair etc
Any animals fs
i also do baking
Your pc has flour in it
try not to do that
i am 90% sure it does
i keep hitting my boom arm even tho i know its there
I clean out my air filters every 3 months
but yeah i should get some kind of air filter
Air purifier if it's that bad
used computers so kinda
better immune system
do people not clean their pcd before selling them
Some people don't
people do not for some reason
ofc not
I personally would and did
o well it means its cheaper for me
😭
I don't want someone else's ball crust in my room
Are you jk tho
i am kinda a clean freak some days
well eh not really but i do like deep cleaning everything
Im germophobe to certain things
some times you find a skittle or MM inside the case and its free treat
not too long ago i deep cleaned my keyboard
Me too
i wonder if ill pull out my cpu with my cooler
I popped every key and switch out and cleaned it
twist
or run a quick bench before removing the cooler to heatup that paste
both
Why has it been 80F outside and now it's like 40F out here what the Frick man
Hwinfo
have you even had it to where the bolt on the backside of the stock amd backplate came lose
true
No
and you had to drag apart the stock amd wraith stealth cooler piece by piece
59c great
Midwest? That screams Midwest
Yeah
South carolina
Please save me from here
Eh Michigan ain't much better TBH
weather go brrrr
o no i have started to become dedicated support
i got DMd
you reacon i could get away with using a xbox one psu as a psu for a e gpu
i would have to split it to two six pins
no
like the xbox one s
looks fire tbh
is a 240mm LE520 Liquid Cooler fine for a Ryzen 5 9600X? i've not found anything online about it
thats fine
AM5 takes zero effort to cool anyway
alright, thanks
go for air cooling
the LE520 is cheaper than the air cooler i'd get 💀
price?
how NVIDIA makes money: sell lots of gpus to enterprise clients, sell what’s leftover to broke gamers
if you say you wanted a noctua cooler out the window you go
$94 AUD for the liquid cooler, $110 for the air cooler (DeepCool AK620)
both on sale rn
why only deep cool
it appeared as if it would look good in my build
had a look at the id cooling a620 or thermalright phantom spirit 120 se or perless assasin 120 se
idk about the a620 but neither of those other two are sold at JW
I have a uh liquid freezer 3
one of the best coolers you can get for am5
yeah the a620 isn't at JW either
Its way overkill but it's hard to put on am5
Some people have trouble with installing it
only possible to use one store?
i know product over brand but man i would not go deepcool for aio
Is dis good?
Shit, didn't notice
i'm glad i'll be paying someone else $59 to get the liquid cooler and everything set up lmao
what my deepcool AIO did
really? i've been told they're pretty reliable
I like my liquid freezer
aqua would say prusa or nothing but i would have a look at the bambu lab printers, mine has worked without fail
