Well, ids say its only worse because the chip containing both is bigger. A bigger chip aint bad, but its difficult to manufacture without defects. So on APUs they cut gpu cores and cpu cores to fit it on a simmilar sized die.

Hello, I’m new to building pc’s however I had a question, I’m currently Using a gaming pc that I bought off a friend, it’s okay but I’m looking to upgrade it because it seems to be having major frame drops, lag, and stuttering and delay. (I’ve reset the whole computer and only have 3 games from steam and epic)
The current specs are:

CPU: ryzen 5 2600x 6 core
GPU: Nvidia 1660 super (x2)
Ram: 16gb unsure if ddr4 or ddr5
1tb hard drive and 500gb ssd
Not sure what mother board I am currently using either.
If anyone can tell me a much better parts to use and has any tips to improve performance it would be great to know.

@clear canyon it has liquid cooling, and the gpu is full size it’s not a mini or anything like that. The case itself is 3ft 5in tall. Has 2 slots for full size graphics card. Can I just ask what usually can replace a ryzen 5 2600x? I’m probably going to get these 2 3080 ti’s for the gpu.
