Also anyone know if the temps on an aio screen are accurate? I used my motherboards software to view the temps and they were like wayyy cooler than the ones displayed on the cooler
So everything runs off of a GPU, yet merging them together makes it worse, the more i learn about PCs, tha more im just confused
the latest one is cracked af
with 80w for the whole apu, it competes/beats laptops with 50w cpu+ 100w 4060
the new laptop one still loses to the 4060 and is VERY much helped by the incredibly fast ram
but it is still quite insane for an apu
its a benchmark
(4060 mobile)
"As long as it can handle it and games the best at a great price" are my standards.
what resolution do you game at tho
1440p
You'd prob be suprised how well a 9700X does
for an igpu thats still excellent to be only 8% less than 4060 in 1440p gaming considering the whole apu including the cpu uses less power than just the gpu, not even counting the cpu of the other device
also that ram argument is confusing, isnt the 4060 is helped by its very fast gddr6?
right but thats for every 4060
when new laptops come out, its not a guarantee they will come with that ram
By spec, Strix halo must use that ram config
It's why the framework desktop cannot have upgradable ram
Well, ids say its only worse because the chip containing both is bigger. A bigger chip aint bad, but its difficult to manufacture without defects. So on APUs they cut gpu cores and cpu cores to fit it on a simmilar sized die.
Id still take the 9800x3d
at some point u just take a cheap 7800x3d from aliexpres
They don't 'cut' anything on APUs
They're given a rough die size to follow and they've gotta pack everything into that
its just very expensive for 8 cores is all
Cant just...put multiple chips on 1 thing instead and connect them afterwards?
thats what theyre doing lmao
You have just invented chiplets
intel is also doing that
thats like, the norm now
Well, they "cut" cores from the cpu and gpu they "combine" (i know its not exactly like this, but this makes it easier to understand)
If you wanna see a funny chiplet thing, Google Intel Ponte Vecchio
The gaming performance tho. Plus here it just cost a lil but more than the 7800x3d
This exists, yes, but bandwidth between the chips becomes difficult to manage, and often times the stuff that connects them starts eating a lot of power (multichip ryzens idle at a higher wattage than monolithic ryzens)
Yea but diminshing returns at 1440 is all
And im guessing that defeats the entire point of it
Kind of. In lower speed environments, this still works, as example the SoC (system on a chip) in your phone, if its multichip/chiplet, can still deal with it if the other parts that are connected arent high bandwidth stuff (perhaps a audio amp, bluetooth module or something like that
Well, not really
AMD have been doing chiplet stuff since Ryzen 3000, and despite the low bandwidth between the cores and the memory controller they're still got the best gaming CPU atm
Havent bought myself a 9800x3d yet so I'm still open to suggestions. Peeps here recommended me the 9800x3d.
For desktop cpus that have cooling this can work flawlessly. But combining a full powerhouse cpu with a full scale gpu, it gets hard to remove the heat it produces quickly
Its a good CPU, best in gaming, but as you go 1440p and up, it stops having such an edge
Unless you use RT
How much of a difference?
Law of diminishing returnd with fans im assuming, or you cool with something that isnt water or air, dry ice or something ridiculous like that
Like for instance, universally, at 4K, the 9800X3D is like 1% better than almost any CPU... so it goes from like 3-5% down to 1% if that
do any of yall know lots about motors on old hardware
Eahhhhhhh
Also the ability to get heat away from the small chip to fins or whatever, but yeah, that's the main blockers i know of
Isnt at 4k average FPS like, 12.8 tho?
how do i fix black screen on bios
huh?
More fans yeah but the main thermal issue is that you can get the heat out of the silicon fast enough
Like 4k gaming is essentially a slideshow
CPUs are so insanely power dense it's wild
No, on TPU 4K round up average, a 9800X3D is like 3 - 4 fps ahead of things, its margin of error
lol no
Oh god no, 4k gaming has been a proper thing for a long while now
trying to diagnose an issue on a film scanner
There are plenty of games were the 9800X3D crushes non X3D games at 4k
Anything with a high CPU load
So essentially it'd require being able to supercool the part without the damage of well... freezing that and maintain that
4k balanced is closer to 1080p than 1440p btw
my friend finally got a new phone lmao. iphone xr to iphone 15
game dependent
i've been wanting him to upgrade for like 2 years now
i thought its a % based on the version of dlss
how did u access that?
What are you coding?
HUB mentioned in one of their recent reviews how they're not always the same
Vapor chambers are a thing
No need for 'supercooling'
Something else HUB did though, was show how in titles that came out when the cards did, that 4k didn't show a big improvement for X3D chips.
“Chaotic, off-the-rails, and unapologetically based” Elon really is an edgy 15 year old, huh
(or closer to when they came out)
And i love grok for it
we have enough boring sanitized AIs
why did nvidia stop producing ti for 4090 and 5090?
But when those same chips play newer games a few years later they held up a lot better across the board. Though this is part of them showing why they test cpus at 1080p
they said “hell na we’re not letting even the richest gamers have access to the best we can do”
Either way sounds extremely expensive
why are you asking me this?
should i ask google instead?
just curious why you pinged me specifically, lol
bc i saw the chart for 3090 ti then remembered there's no 4090 ti or 5090 ti
Hes in love with you clearly
I mean, it is effectively considering the 5090 is rated for 575w and despite being a 2 slot card, the 5090FE manage to keep reasonable temps
i remember doing a financial analysis project for nvidia last semester
I'll answer, though. Titan class is as much about crazy price as it is about performance.
Most titans have been from $2000 to $3000.
3090 Wasn't titan priced, but the Ti wasn't that much better than the 3090, so rather than call it a titan, they called it Ti.
4090 and 5090 have titan performance/price already, so no need to ti them.
Because you cute, clearly
I will always have a grudge on Nvidia for ditching the 4090 Ti just because AMD ditched the 7990 XTX
Add the fact the 5090 also has a titan amount of issues
I heard the 5090 was getting 150 degree temps, that in both Fahrenheit and celsius doesn't sound good lol
Are sata hdd’s useful? Why do motherboards come with cables for them?
nvidia has always done this
lol! that too
1080Ti was also a response card kek
I like to assume the Ti behind cards are Titan versions of the card that brings them closer to the next class
To the Radeon VII?
Vega 64
Probably
but realistically they are just binned dies from that next class
I guess the vega 64 is a little faster than the 1080
Yeah, but I could see Nvidia responding to AMD before AMD even got its card to the market, lol
my friend had and using that gpu, shit the only thing that survived from his beating
However the brother lost the screws
also im tired my english is broken
is this a good purchase? I just want to make sure there isn't some obvious reason I'll regret it before I pull the trigger https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DHLBDSP7/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1
how much is it?
If it's broken, take some flexglue and fix it huehuehuehue
250$
whats ur use for the pc?
Non-professional. Just gaming and stuff
ohhh idt ssds can last that long
I do like to copy and paste large files though
nvm its 5-10yrs
my sata ssd has been going strong for 9
right
its not measured in time
its measured in read/write amount
shouldnt be worried about longevity then, unless its dram cachless ssd
wdym
Are the specs any different?
how long an ssd survives
are you saying speeds determine life span
I'm a noob when it comes to storage
oh
Not really
Vapor chamber coolers are functionally standard for some graphics cards
yes
doesent matter for gaming though
Issue with modern CPUs is that they're just so small lol
no im gonna unbox my oled monitor 🙂
thats an issue?
If that helps you understand it, yes
Each SSD is rated for a certain TBW (Terabytes written), which determines it's lifespan
I mean yeah but it's such a small difference I might as well go with the more expensive one. It's only a 3 hour difference in the amount of work hours to pay for it
Yes, smaller CPUs means smaller surface area to dissipate heat efficiently
no
we are fine cooling wise (as long as u dont go with the nuclear power plant requiring intel cpus)
You don't see anyone complain about threadrippers or EPYC CPUs doing 300~500w because their IHS are four times larger lol
what temp should a 7600x be on a peerless assassin while gaming?
under 80c right?...
If you have to set Intel CPUs up in certain ways before usage, then we're not 'fine' lmfao
That's why AMD CPUs are currently so good to begin with
depending on ur curve
thats because they kill themselves
a good 360mm aio is fine with a 14900k
Tinfoil hat response, irrelevant opinion
???
they kill themselves bruv
A single core on a Zen4/5 part is... Around 1.5mm^2 iirc
Each core consumes about 10-14W under heavy load, depending on voltage
Near 8 w/mm^2 of heat to dissipate
Debatable, most AIOs are incapable of properly cooling a 13900K or 14900K
and we care since when
pa120 which is an air cooler can cool almost all am5 cpus
i said a good one
like prism 360
There's plenty of tests done as well, you basically have to undervolt it or limit power
We can't go much further before we run into the issue of silicon being unable to transfer heat fast enough
u undervolt it to keep it safe
Irrelevant, a good one isn't the majority of the market
If most coolers can't cool it, that's still a problem
a lot of ssds are bad
do we say stuff like this about ssds? no.
We care since always, there's a reason why Intel suddenly made their IHS taller lmfao
Yes, we do
no mate
Yes mate
we go for the good ssds
Irrelevant, idk why you went with SSDs to begin with as they're two wholly different components
i mean either way shouldnt reach above 90
its an example of a component
Irrelevant
no its nto
we are talking about aios...
No, we were talking about how it is a problem that CPUs are getting too small, you don't get to move the goalposts
you are complaining because most aios arent good
im telling u there are a lot of ssds who arent good and we arent complaining
here
yea idk why it spikes
I'm complaining that CPUs are getting too hot for most AIOs to cool them, not that AIOs are inherently bad
If you can't comprehend what I'm saying, that's a you issue
getting too hot for AIO's to cool them? How bad is your AIO??
running cpu + ram its at like average mid 80s which is word
Context was 13900K and 14900K
These were known 360mm AIO killers
u quite literally said "a good one isnt the majority of the market" that literally means the majority arent good. get better at forming sentences?
I don't need to 'get better at forming sentences' since 'a good one isn't the majority of the market' doesn't equal 'everybody else sucks' lmfao
which isnt what i said
go read the msg again
your telling me, a CPU doing its normal stuff was killing triple fan radiator AIO's, whos specific job it is to handle said cpus temperatures.
Correct
i doubt this, so damn much
Intel cpu cores small
350W power draw out of 8 p cores and 16 e cores
350W can't escape the silicon fast enough
I never said that you did, I said that you're assuming that
There is a between 'bad' and 'good' lmfao
Kill as in the aio just couldn't perform
Not kill as in they died
- wasnt assuming this
- there is a between
cant escape the silicon fast enough, thats sounds like it should be killing the CPU not the AIO
- Whatever you say
2.Thank you for stuttering for me
Aye, 'flagship killers' in phones isn't meant literally either kek
i still cant believe just how stupid phone cameras are getting lmfao
i just realized lastnight that i can take a 12000x9000 picture on my s22 ultra, like holy fuck
My "new" PC build (new case, same specs as my old sleeper):
i3-13100F
32GB DDR4
Gigabyte H610I
RX 570
Got this case for 20% off at Micro Center through an Open Box deal, and this is also my first white case.
Not bad
rx 570?
Yes.
Definitly looks nice
sad
Will probably upgrade that very soon.
Probably to a 4060 or 6600 XT.
or b580
That too.
i keep forgetting that exists
how good even is it now, i havent heard much about it
i do not
it is
armoury crate has to be the worst software ever made
Correct
we know
i would say its not that bad, but its also my desktop that keeps eating graphics cards for an unknown reason
Better than a 4060
is nvs 300 better?
oh god no
Weird opinion
If you can find it cheap, it's awesome
But the b580 is usually cheaper, and is better in terms of performance (but not power consumption)
h610 is based
well think of it this way, a 4060 is what, 300?
vs a rx 7600, or a b580 with 12gb
both of which being cheaper
And the 4060 is better than the 7600, with the b580 being ahead of them both
is the 4060 really better than 7600
yes
by how much
ah
im still torn between whats causing the issues with my desktop
i put in a quadro 4000 i had laying around, it has yet to corrupt vbios and i can actually get into my bios, but now Debian 12 has artifacting
I wonder can I get Windows 11 working on a Windows 7 Core 2 Duo laptop
Funny you keep thinking that you can corrupt a VBIOS in os considering you need a special driver installed from AMD to even begin to touch the bios at all
Have you considered that your motherboard's bios may be corrupt though
i know its not, because it still works
with this quadro, i can get into the bios perfectly fine
Doesn't mean there isn't an uncorrupted part of it
Then ram or CPU problem
You have stresstest them both, yes?
like, this is probably the clearest gpu issue ive ever seen, im just trying to figure out if my luck was that bad to get 2 broken cards in a row or if my motherboard IS doing something
Tried a different motherboard?
i mean, i played star citizen does that count as a stress test? 🤣
i dont have one
or any other ram, or another cpu
ok then what do you suggest that i use
Occt
?
this will be fun
If a guy were to get an AIO for an i7 14700k, and he dont want his pc to sound like a turbine engine on afterburner (the current noctua heatsink contributes to this), what would he get?
Question, is this a good upgrade from a r5 3600 + 3060?
R7 5800x3d + rx7900 gre
Lf2
It's a pretty big upgrade
What would the bottleneck be like do u think or would there be little to none? I got 64gb ram as well with this
You could run a 5090 with that CPU
Take that as a hell yeah upgrade then
nvm it is available
Got anything else?
at that point i would say get a 9070xt instead of the GRE
at 4k
Even 1440p is fine
1440p high/ultra yeah
AIOs are not my field
with a 5090 you should basically always be at high/ultra though
I wonder will a in-place upgrade from Windows 7 to 11 work?
does your pc support win11?
(with a Core 2 Duo)
Using Rufus you can probably get it to boot
doesn’t officially support win11
"officially"
for this experiment I'm using a Dell Latitude E5500 so no
or win10 for that matter
MF requires .net 4 fuck
even if you get it to work, i doubt it would run well at all
Hey, I'm doing research for my pc and I'm going for the AMD Ryzen 7600X with an Intel Arc b580, what motherboard should I use?
Any B650
fucking hell
any am5 board will be compatible with a recent bios
Get the Livemixer 💯
time for regedit
lmao
Alright, thank you!
this plus this equals working?
uh, yes?
Yes
what kindaa temps would i be expecting? and what kinda noice would i have to endure?
what case
Ill look into it, depends on my budget to be honest
Is the noctua really not enough?
looks like the 9070XT is cheaper anyways
im worried about the 12v power cables in the top left corner tho
does Windows 11's installer force UEFI
oh wait Dell's bios is weird since now MF will kinda boot from USB
prism 360
noctua is kind of a joke
It is, but it's loud
and it's driving me crazy
fuck not even the installer will boot
and i probably haven't even had it spin at 100% yet
The coolers are good but expensive
meh they are pretty mid
yup
so if anyone wants an NH d15, give me a call
peerless assasin 120 is a lot better
wont cool as good
my school computers pc has an uptime of 27 days supposedly… poor i5-2400
?
is the Core 2 Duo old enough that it doesn't support Windows 11 at all (not even unofficially)
Just try it you have nothing to lose
Not that bad
Guys I need help with a pc
it will cool better bruv
crashes at the Windows 11 startup for some reason
Compared to that NH d15 no
hopefully they upgrade soon, photoshop is too slow with no gpu :(
for value ye
pretty close though
but noctua you pay for the great customer service
Free mounting brackets for life
yes
There's even some folks who still are using their D14s from back in the day
for the price of the cooler u can just buy 2 coolers
money isnnt an issue, cooling and noice is
You can use the same noctua cooler for as many sockets in the future as you want
So no budget? 😏
welp
And that cooler is from 2009
frick Windows 11 24H2 requires SSE 4.2 and my experiment laptop only has SSE 4.1
im ready to spend money on a quality product
it will die eventually
u will end up paying more than it would buying a new cooler
or buying mounting
Custom loop time 🥶
Okay im not doing that
why does Microsoft add these stupid requirements
but im starting to realise that an AIO might be a good option
The cooler will not die
The fans might but that's a cheap replacement
That's one of the massive pros for Noctua
not available here btw
You know what else is massive
freezer 360 ig? if u got the money and want it even quiter, the 420mm version
Arctic?
MASSIVE LOW TAPER FADE
what
the 360mm argb version is in stock
honestly just buying an aio and using your own fans is a much better choice
they got the base 420mm, no rgb tho
huh
you can atleast choose what fans
Ohh, you mean buying 3 argb fans to put in the non-rgb aio fans place?
I also wonder how Ghost Spectre of all things is not malware
yeah
that'd be expensive tho
just buying an aio and using whatever fans you want too
fans are like £5 for a 3 pack
Is there a way to remote access a pc through a chromebook?
Oh thanks.
like this?
no lol
oh
I need an internet slang translator
anyway pc parts are coming today
aio+whatever 120mm fans you wanna put on there instead of the stock ones
Just ping me when you need translation lol
bruh its like 50eu
Lovely. What does it mean? I can't keep up with the constant new lingo
don’t get those
i dont wanna get the cheapest crap
all fans are basically the same quality
Wrong
does this come in rgb?
Yeah...... No
the cheapest fans you can find will be perfectly fine
This is likely true also
the worst take ever seen
This is the cheapest i can get my hands on. 37eu or so
how
best way to have them fail in two months and have your pc sound like a jet engine 😭
How tf can u get three rgb 140mm fans for 3£??
what?
not really
can you read?
140mm?
nah it wouldnt sound at all
yall are actually high
i can but that is a shit point that doesn’t make any sense
Yes
maybe
maybe 120
maybe not
i havent decided
here’s cheapest on pcpp in norway
Ninja, the famous streamer got a "low taper fade", a type of haircut after someone sung about it 1:24 https://youtu.be/zloi-MI3DuY?si=iA3EteIMntRp-16a
That then sprung a meme about people having that haircut. Cut to mid August when the meme died out, people revisited the meme when ninja starting talking about it more often. The meme then became it not dying because they didn't want it to "fade" by mentioning it

cheap fans are typically louder and fail faster? How is that a null point
It represents the collective hopes and aspirations of anyone under 19
because it’s wrong
How is it wrong
bruh the 120mm is as expensive
a lot of fans are from the same manufacture just with a sticker on it for branding
the loudness of the fans is irrelevant since you can just control the rpm
yeah and they are different models you neanderthal
they aren’t 99% of the time
i’ve had a £2 3 pack of fans for the last 5 years without one failing
yes.
good for you that isnt the experience most will have
no.
almost all of them are the same thing just rebranded
The only big difference is the rgb, isn't it?
no
i also bought a corsair fan that broke within the first month of using it and the other 2 had cables that were snapped
what brand the fan is is completely irrelevant
yes
Your individual experience doesn't change that cheaper fans are built with cheaper materials
have you ever noticed how most fans are the same like 5 designed
that’s also wrong
when you get out of the three quid price point there is more designs
the cheap and expensive fans use the same materials now
Difference between 6 dollars of material vs 5 bucks

there’s like 3
There is more than three designs on the market be fr

lmaoo actually just lying to yourself
at a very low price point yes most are all the same oem but once you invest more the designs change
be nice
n e ways
so arctic frzr III 420mm it is?
does this seem right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkkSHfvo1Ws&t=74s

guys i have an asrock a520m Hdv, and a crappy gpu, the thing is, im not sure if the gpu works with it, can this motherboard post on a monitor without a gpu
leaving this here because fuck UE5
Any GPU from the past decade and a half will fit into any motherboard from the past decade and a half
AMD Radeon HD 6570?
ok
so ive just nopw learned that ryz 5 1400 doesnt have integrated, that fixes my mobo not posting, so my gpu is simply too old then?@true stirrup?
No it should work
Did you plug the cable into the GPU
"you have been banned from Genshin Impact server" 🗿
And not the motherboard
its a AMD Radeon HD 6570 it doesnt have cables
Yeah it will work
problem is, it doesnt
will it run the elder scrolls online?
Is the cable plugged into the GPU or motherboard?
I tried both nothing
Like I said im glad its not the cpu or mobo
Ill try with a 1060 it should work
its fkn horrible
It's the most unoptimized pile of dogshit
UE5 is good it's just the devs are lazy
You should be blaming the devs lol
Not the fucking game engine
The devs dont have as much control as you think.
lol
lazy devs mostly but the ue5 definitely doesn't make it easier
The devs are literally the people making the game ofc they have control over it
The devs answer to management who answer to middle management, who answer to upper management
Joe shmo, the level designer has no control over how bloated or un bloated the game is
they have a lot of bloat by themselves and have sold the engine as a "complete" package that handles everything low lovel
while devs are at fault too, ue5 is not innocent either
it runs like a fucking hog
that guy clearly never had to work in a shitty bureaucratic nightmare
Clearly.
That would be like saying the assembly line workers in the auto industry have control over what shitty features get put in the cars they make
Unreal engine 5 fucking sucks ass for optimisation
you have to disable like 20 things to maybe stop the lighting from being raytraced
And then you still get TAA
How’s the battle between nvidea and amd going so far
Constant
Both companies suck ass
Let's bring back Cyrix and S3
And Matrox should make consumer grade GPUs again too whilst we're at it
I have about $900 to spend. Should I go for a regular 4060 build, or a mini pc with oculink and a 1080 Ti connected to it? For reference, the mini pc has a R7 8845HS, 64GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD. I might have some trouble finding a case to cover the 1080 Ti, but besides from that, is it worth it?
I currently have a ddr3 motherboard, it still runs but its starting to get a lil old + ive been working recently so got some extra money, if i replace my motherboard for a ddr4 or ddr5, what do i need to replace except for my ram, sicne thats common sense for me
Motherboard, ram, cpu at minimum
Yeah, haswell be ancient
Cpu aswell?
For the new board
Its a I7 3770 tho. Its still fairly decent
- not really
- those only support ddr3, and likewise the socket is only on ddr3 boards
Also it's a 13 year old cpu
That CPU is older than half the people here
Holy smoly
TAA is the bain of my existence
So i need to replace my ram + cpu if i do a new motherboard?
i honestly prefer to turn it off then to use it
Its awful, and somehow the only option for some games
Yes
TAA is literally the last option if FXAA MSAA and turning AA off isn’t an option
what about my ssd?
If Port Triggering is more secure than Port Forwarding why is it barely used, my old ISP didnt even have this setting
I found an Aero model for around $200, which seems like a pretty fair deal. However, I'm debating which option to choose. I like mini PCs, but at the same time, building a mini ITX setup might end up being more expensive.
genuinely would rather not having AA then having TAA on
Board cpu ram maybe power supply
@cinder raptor is a GIGABYTE A520M K V2, ryzen 5 4500, a good combo? and to add on a 1650
Just read stuff from earlier and concluded I'll be getting a gigabyte b650ax elite v2 mobo and a 9800x3d for my 4070S.
godot homies where you at
Couldn't tell you if its good. Its all horribly out of date hardware
Any fairly dated affordable hardware?
with the 1660 super now running physx i can actually enable all the batman arkham knight gameworks stuff without the game crashing
kept crashing before despite having a 4070 ti super
yo guys, can my anker charger with poweriq fast charge pixel 4a (which support pd)
Is that Roblox
PowerIQ is meaningless without knowing the wattage support of the charger. What model/SKU is it?
brain rot
idk, but the box said its maximum output is 20w
I thought she died
You're not helpful
It probably charges up to 9V2.2A
My guess is 5V3A or 9V2.22A
No she did a crypto rug pull and the vanished
the box write that it support up to 9v2.22a yes
Huhhh?
Okay. Pixel 4a does up to 18W, which likely means up to 9V2A
There is no voltage or amperage?
What's the difference
Shes not dead?
Meh
hope u can read this
Meh
Thats more helpful
best investment of my life
@plain cypress idk what you are helping user with, but here’s probably more helpful info
if this reddit comment is correct, then my phone is not fast charging
tho its 8yrs ago so i dont know if its correct or not at this point
IPS vs OLED
Does it matter?
You can’t control if your phone is fast charging
fast charging? yes
does anyone know of pi-hole blocks redirects aswell as ads? im tired of clicking on something and getting sent to a billion pages
Yes, but what can you do if it doesn’t
idk, try a new charging brick?
Probably just you being on sketchy sites… and if it would work, you’d have to see “couldn’t connect to website” or something similar
¯_(ツ)_/¯
If you really need your phone charged quicker, you probably have a degraded battery or use your phone too much
Thinking on selling my Rx 6800 and buy an OLED while running a Vega 64
the first one
my phone last like, 1hr and 10-ish min after a full charge (30 min if i play games)
Unless I can snipe an Rx 6800xt for cheap while waiting for the specific OLED monitor I want goes on sale
Oof what?
why
Aplple maybe is better… if that’s a standard for androids Ofc
Cause’ oled
I kinda paid alot for my Rx 6800 so I wanna get as much as I can back before it drops significantly in price
but like on vega 64?
I can understand rx 6800 on oled but on vega 64 not sure what can they do
Huh? It’s not horrendous
I don't play alot of resource intensive games
I see a SMALL difference
Yeah, it’s a 1080 gpu
I play in 1440p
yes but not a good one for 1440p gaming
I need to do another comparison but with the lights shut off
ooh makes sense i enjoy AAA games
i play at 8k on my 4060
The games that I play is Dead by Daylight, Fortnite, God of War 2018, Resident Evil 4 Remake and Stardew Valley
you playin minecraft
no
this gigabyte ips was already good at colour accuracy and very sharp
I also have Monster Hunter Wilds haven't played it much though
and roblox
Hello guys,
I am looking to buy Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi7 with 9950x3d. My current setup is RTX 4090, 12900K and Gigabyte z690 Aurus Master. Would mobo be a downgrade?
If you play like fps and geometry dash you’re fine
richard burns rally
too hard to run
probably a game as easy to run as minecraft I assume
mobo wont be a downgrade but make sure u case supports e-atx
nah minecraft is hard to run
ur kidding not even lv5 graphics??
I was able to play through the entirety of Re4 Remake at 1440p High settings with a Vega 64 with no issues it's still a very capable card
i get 300fps 8k SSAA 4x
minecraft with shit ton of shaders is and thats more of a cpu restriction no?
on richard burns rally
is this in your dream or?
even my 5700xt does 70 fps at 8k on minecraft
Tou don’t need that upgrade
no it’s in richard burns rally
No way i dont think even my rx 6800 can handle that at 60 fps
Also no
Ur 5700xt does not support 8k
Actually nvm dp 1.4 supports 8k30 but it's awful at it
With 230 dollars what would you upgrade on this system

Nothing
A bigger wallet to save more money
yeah, no joke
already degraded battery+whatever update google made cause battery life to become sht
I will buy 1440p ips monitor for 230 tomorrow but not sure if i should upgrade my pc instead
nothing actually
Cause i only upgrade my pc once a decade
1440p ips monitor for 230 is alot
depends on the monitor
Maybe ssd or ram, but other than that, a better monitor would be a suiting upgrade
im giving my itx productivity setup a qhd 240hz monitor lololol
i live in turkey so expect the tax
Lenovo Legion R27QE
I just bought them new 1 tb ssd too
Almost every used 1440p144hz/165hz gaming monitor goes for 100-125€ here in Finland even the good ones
You know that ut was released in 2020
we need more X3D!
yeah, 160 US, makes sense. that's the tax talking :(
what is ut
Hell yeah !!.
I don't like cpu heat, tdp values and it nearly doubles the automations I use and games that I play capped to 120 fps with it on 4K
They need to make double socket AM5 boards for this
It* the gpu, and rhe cpu
I want SLI CPUs
i also have an old laptop (dual core, 128gb storage and i think 4gb ram) any ideas thats not batocera or retropie?
make sure they arent decade old fx cpus
Oh i just upgrade these all if thats what you ask the monitor will be my final upgrade if i cant find anything usefull on pc to upgrade its been like 3 weeks
Ah I see, no, the motherboard would not be a downgrade
they're not
A decade is 10 years
And yes i bought rx6800 at 2025 😦
What’s so special
Ah I see
So did I but I paid 330€ and am kinda salty about it that's why I wanna sell it since 6800xt's go for similar amount currently
6800 is good
Before repasting mine were working at 111 to 115 celcius on hotspot it was so bad :d
Thats bad
I've even seen 6900xt's sell for 350€ recently over here
But now there is even bigger problem i did change the paste now its underload goes 90 celcius on full and 100 on hotspot
its ThermalRight TF7 paste
Undervolt it (it’s fine temps, but still)
But will you be able to sell your rx 6800 for that price
Yes there's lots of stupids
Damn I have Lian Li Lancool II Mesh ATX Case. Probably it does not support Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi7
Hmm, why not?
(You haven’t done any research yet)
Hey all, ran my new 5700x3d through cinebench and ended up with temps sitting at around 65 Celsius, does that sound about right? Idle it’s in the 30s or so
He said it
Is the motherboard e-atx?
But I see that on product page it says ATX
Probably not.
The motherboard I suppose
Motherboards product page 👍
it fits
its quite low
if i buy macbook in one country and apple care in another country will it be valid?
Perfectly fine
cpu
Awesome thanks all, wasn’t sure what to expect so glad, score was 798, so pretty inline with what I’ve seen elsewhere
7900 xtx die with no issues whatsoever
i just upgraded it its r5 5600
its the only thing u can upgrade with that budget
got it thank you
then i'm going for the monitor
Got it thank you all
bruh
Probably cant save no more gotta clear that debt
wha
don’t buy anything and pay off your debt
you def shouldn't buy pc stuff if you're in bad debt
I'm using the money came from giveaway
pumpy pump, what about the cooler’s side
uh
I mean
That looks normal
my freinds brother is letting me keep his quest 3 in my room cuz i use it more than him lol
Guys how do I fix my pc so it randomly freezes and sometimes black screens and when it comes back Im getting very low fps like were talking single digits
what specs
if the gpu has 50xx in it its driver issues
idk, i only really know how to fix a pc if it isnt turning on in entirety
rtx 5080 ryzen 7 9800x3d 64gb ddr5
nah
the paste patterns on the die look like pump out but i wonder how it looks like on the cooler’s side, of that die is covered by paste or whatever tim is that
try updating the drivers
the blackscreen is thanks to nvidia's blackwell architecture fr
im also having the blackscreen issue now lmao
not great
temps looking ok on first boot
what the hell this was fast repasting
its been 23 minutes
yea
i could have done it in 15
tis not 110c anymore
450w
and the gpu is barely making noise
damn mine took like an hour
What is the difference between "0.5 ms mprt - 1ms gtg"
marketing lingo that is bullshit most of the time
very nice i am finally above the average
- are you using USB C on the power brick?
- are you charging 2 devices at the same time on the power brick?
yep, using the included cable as well
also no, only the pixel, nothing else
friends, just installed new 5070 but pc is not booting up, says no signal,
Is the power brick actually labeled as USB PD?
its labeled poweriq, not pd
So im running cinebench on multi core on my ryzen 7 9800x3d and its cooled with an aio. Is this supposed to be happening?
hwmonitor is ass
you are not even showing power use
reinstall, reseat cables, etc.
friends, just installed new 5070 but pc is not booting up, says no signal, any fix?
same
its a stock 9800x3d
friends, just installed new 5070 but pc is not booting up, says no signal, any fix?
friends, just installed new 5070 but pc is not booting up, says no signal, any fix?
cool?
.......
.
its working on old card but not on that one
READ WHAT I SAID
rip
wait did he plug in the power?
card is on power
Hmm, it should probably work still
I'm not sure if the recent pixel 4a update will limit charging speed
did they do a apple
pic
Asus x870e hero vs x870e apex which is the better board?
better in what way
whichever has the features you want / need and is cheaper.
but for the most part: x870e isn't worth the pricetag typically
anything over a b650 tbh
Cooler sucked some of the paste back up into those patterns when pulled off
power is on but its not working
its the black screen issue due to horrible nvidia drivers or just a dead nvidia card
deleted old drivers with ddu then installed new card and problem appeared
plug the pc into internet

it can be due to drivers or vbios when it comes o the latest gen of nvidia cards dude
B650 eagle ax or or msi b650 tomahawk with 7800x3d
many 50 series be bricking themselves
Gday people
yay
the msi
Hi guys,
I know this might sound stupid, I just want to be on the safe side. I just got myself a new psu for a gpu replacement. I went from a C750 to a C850!
Should I replace the cables too or can I use the old ones already installed?
Pixel 4a, some models (I'm guessing multiple battery supplies or revisions), have had an update that limits capacity and possibly charging speed
https://www.theverge.com/news/627543/google-pixel-4a-battery-update-overheating-recall
If I have to pick between low battery life, and fire, I guess I would pick low battery life
Yeah I know
might i ask why
unless you can confirm that they're the same cables with verifiable sources, replace them.
what can i do?
RMA
Hello, I’m new to building pc’s however I had a question, I’m currently Using a gaming pc that I bought off a friend, it’s okay but I’m looking to upgrade it because it seems to be having major frame drops, lag, and stuttering and delay. (I’ve reset the whole computer and only have 3 games from steam and epic)
The current specs are:
CPU: ryzen 5 2600x 6 core
GPU: Nvidia 1660 super (x2)
Ram: 16gb unsure if ddr4 or ddr5
1tb hard drive and 500gb ssd
Not sure what mother board I am currently using either.
If anyone can tell me a much better parts to use and has any tips to improve performance it would be great to know.
Going into a different pc
Pixel 4A is the new Note 7 incident?
then it makes sense
perfect for a upgrade but what game are you hvaing issues in
yeah its bc your cpu and gpu is quite old for modern standards
i tested that cpu in fortnite not too long ago and it did well
light
too lazy to install normal
it cant run the normal one'
I play COD, Fortnite, and this game called grounded.
it can
Mostly having issues in cod
Well the update is to prevent note7 lol
nope fuck you give me the whole battery
ill put an nvme heatsink on my daily driver phone
Why not hard-line water cool it
i
@clear canyon what do you recommend upgrading to? For the cpu and graphics card?
why cant we use those solid state fans
well whats your budget
or windmills
reactor
no charging for me
@clear canyon unlimited or up to 9k
okay im working on a budget build rn:
-r5 2600x
-gtx 1050ti
-16gb ddr4
-500w bronze psu
-some bullshit shitty aliexpress case for like $10
9k what
expensive, noisy, and not a ton of cfm
I'm spending a total of like $110 on this shit
um
@clear canyon like 9,000 dollars max is what I’m willing to spend. I want the best.
Would you all get monitor or psu
do you want to build or just buy a prebuilt
only sadness because my charger took a shit.
just over clock it
@clear canyon I want a full build
also, I posted this last night so... sorry
Lmfao i am just opening up one computer I got built for me and the service center guys installed what seems to be a small speaker, I know for sure I didnt have that before
no, do you want to BUILD the pc, or geta prebuilt one
YES
beep codes, its a very useful tool
yes, that is a pc speaker for debugging, every motherboard has a header for it
@clear canyon I want to build it. With the best stuff I can get I just don’t want to swap the cases
yall see this nice ass lil box i got from work
Don't need a case
Why a 2600X
whats the case
that's your best diagnostic's tool for any pc
Yeah that's why the computer is beeping when turned on, I actually never gave a thought that I didn't have that before
ooooo
does look very nice
indoubitably
I don't know what happened. Not a game ender. I have another charger I can swap out.
@tidal geyser
that single beep = post test =good
also well, RIP, my idea why did my Seagate archive drives do weird errors fixed by restart goes out of the window. All 4 of the Seagate archive 8TB drives were connected via SATA, not LSI HBA. Well, anyway, now i can move them to the backup system and really set up the backups
I paid like 10 USD to have the PC built from scratch, and I even get a free lil speaker, best service center out here
o wow
This is the second time I got something built out there
(he just forgot he put it in your rig)
:3
insane performance
Its a time saver and they do it better than I could
@clear canyon this may sound weird but it’s a custom built case that looks like a sword.
double the vram in it
They don't accept tips tho lmfao
they be cheap to get, especially in bulk purchases
@clear canyon that’s why I’m hoping to just upgrade the parts because I have no idea what motherboard is in it
I wont be able to tell if a part will fit in it then
yeah true
crypto scam game is on sale
now time to learn the beep codes so you can just diagnose it just by ear
bep codes!
gpus are massive now days and cpus require better cooling, so there is no guarantee that it will fit
I think It also has integrated speaker in the motherboard
they all have beep codes, you can google it tbh
Since there is the option in bios
i dont have a speaker
cheap
or any ezdebug lights so if somethings wrong i just have to guess
nah, post 2010 they're a header you add a speaker to it
Mmm fair
Cheap but shit, a 4790 is unironically better for games
buy one, they're like 10p for the speaker
they are a little header on them which you attach one of these too
the fact they added one on yours you got an easier way to tell if it fucks up
nah im hard as nails
i could spare a couple extra dollars, 3600x perhaps
wrong reply lol
Mmmm cables
@clear canyon it has liquid cooling, and the gpu is full size it’s not a mini or anything like that. The case itself is 3ft 5in tall. Has 2 slots for full size graphics card. Can I just ask what usually can replace a ryzen 5 2600x? I’m probably going to get these 2 3080 ti’s for the gpu.
@wheat torrent said code
and tape
trust me, your 1660 super is tiny as fuck
3600,5600,5600x,5700x,5700x3d,5800x,5800x3d
consumer hardware with enterprise hardware
also thats a stupid idea to get 2 3080tis, and no one measures a pc case in feet, and what liquid cooler
this is the way
these are actually more helpful then the regular lights imo
more stupid because it doesn't do sli nor nvlink
yeah
anything is sli with the right attitude
another GTA update wtf
3090 or 3090ti for chunky sli
I swear yall are mean asl over the smallest of things
😭
50 series can P2P via PCIe
ive gotten one every like 3 days
or quadro's
but it isn't sli
quadro died many years ago, long live RTX!
we are not, we are being realistic
i still own a quadro p1000
being realistic doesn't mean you cant be mean
we are not
@clear canyon idk its pretty big it’s a gigabyte gtx 1660 super is what it says they’re bigger than all my other graphics cards.
please answer my other comment, its important on the aio
lol, still quadro's even if they drop the quadro part of the name
Quadro RTX A2000 :^)
ive got a quadro rtx 4000 at home
jesus expensive
fifty dollar
💣
REAL 450W
bomb
REAL 450W NOT FAKE
fake ones only do 350w
thanks for reasurrianxe
then you look up the info for it, and find out it's terrible on 110/120v but totally fine on 220/240v
ur just mad it can do twenty five amps on 5v
you should put your favorite parts on this psu! LIMIT TEST!
even funnier? 191+264+12+10=477 so it’s actually a FAKE 450 watts it’s 477😡😡😡
you have no clue how a pc works
hey guys do u know what these folders are for they have these files in them
i was making a joke
its temp files
sorry it wasn’t for you!
the windows update things
WEEEEE-regnr
are they safe to like delete
just use the inbuilt tool into windows to remove stuff
disk cleanup?
Can anyone help with a fan issue?
basically yes
bc it doesnt remove the files im just asking if its safe to remove since the folders i sent take up 100 gigs
aight thannks
nice
Anyone familiar with b650 motherboard and gigabyte control panel? My fans spin so loud when I start a game on my new build and I can’t control the rgb/fan speed on the software.
nah, right click on the C drive in explorer and bring up the cleanup tool instead
I have the montech 65 case and all fans (including aio) are daisy chained to one ARGB and one power connected on the mobo for reference
openrgb for rgb and fan control for fan control
yeah thats what i do
or i search disk clean up in start menu
are they plugged into the motherboard before someone does some elaborate repair work
that looks very nice
🗣️
Ty milo
how does bro have more temp files than actuall installed apps
i already use disk cleanup
I think I might have to take plug-in the aio separately to the mobo and have all the case fans daisy chained
@eager rose this is after clicking on the clean up system files button
anyways uh this is taking 10 years
k
go windows 11
before the button
7 months and windows 10 goes bye bye
i just like windows 10
a
because its good
in what way
gaming
no
looks good
i got more FPS from going to 11
you can make 11 look like 10
then why would i need to install windows 10
i mean 11
