I read that kioxia ssds typically run hot but i didnt know it was this bad

its a 2230 format ssd, it has plenty of space around it for passive cooling, i have no data on it, no disk activity and its still idling at 70C. I even removed the base plate on my laptop temporarily and the temps didnt improve. I also updated its firmware
