i would recommend a 1000w if you have plans on upgrading the gpu in the future, so this way you will make single psu purchase instead of another one if you go with a higher wattage card

but if your budget is tight, 850w is still very solid

like it can last you 5 years even with gpu upgrades

(First was MSi, second was Lenovo Legion)

The second one I had an extended warranty on thru my credit card so I was able to get my money back. I’ve been converted to PC gang. I got an ITX build that I took between my dorm and home, and I even have it set up for moonlight game streaming which is flawless

Disconnect the power plug from the PSU. Disconnect the 24 pin power connector and 4+4 pin CPU power connector from the mother board; disconnecting CMOS isn't necessary but probably wiser to do so. It seems the problem is the 'residual voltage' or whatever it's formally called.

the reason why is the gt1030 and gtx 645 are the two strongest gpu's that have the availabilty to have vga ports on a ribbon cable the vga cable to go through the inside of the computer case with only have completely internal wiring to power a display.

1040s are too rare for them to be viable

Usually the P and Q are just bios changes to the fan curve. I dont think they necessarily change the power limit or anything (though sometimes they may)
