So i've got this laptop from a buddy to work on, said the screen had stopped working.

After struggling with it for a while
(Disconnect battery, do a full reset, reseat ram, check all connections and plugs, check backlight etc etc... basically the top 15 things that google says u should do when you type in "lenovo laptop starts, black screen")

I somehow got it semi-working
It would just turn on with a blackscreen, fans spinning, power LED on. But nothing else.

I just disasembled the entire thing and put it back, resulting in it booting to bios or safe mode boot, which i can produce semi-reliable.

After restarting it, it shows the start screen which glitches out (artifacts?) and seems to crash the process.

This is as far as i've gotten it. Is the bios bricked? Or the mobo.. Or something else at fault here?
(It doesnt currently have an OS on it, put an empty drive in just in case)
