yea i watched a motortrend video from like 2012 comparing it to the A7 and jaguar XJ something
Also fully blacked out it looks real nice
and this is way better than all the other apparently
yea
horrible ride due to the thin tires though imo
they are also summer tires
yea sat in one a few years ago when i was at a dealer for them
every single knob squeaked
they have nice interiors but the quality is just horrible
Yeah my dad was like let me buy one
Did my research made him go for a test drive
never spoke about the car
Chonk car
My dad likes his German cars
Also cars like that are pricy in Europe
My plan is to get a car from merica and import it to europe
my dad hates them all lol always says that they arent built the same here
I mean Merican cars are just chonk
overbuilt by a mile than a german
Germans are built for economy
Unlike Merican cars they are just built to work
yea
I really like LS engines wish they had some in the EU
But idk how it would pass emissions
Can we go back to where the i3 and i8 were the worst looking bmws?
i8 aged well tho 👀
Not a fan
Mainly because its kinda trash for what it is
bmw i8 was bad looking?
Why can't people take care of their cars :(
Look at that rust man
The car is 10 years newer than my truck and I have no rust on it smh.
sometimes you can't win.
cough cough my old ford focus mk1
Yes
I dont like it coz its slow
3 cylinder over engineered
cant fail me on a corroded seatbelt reinforcement plate if I dont have a seatbelt reinforcement plate
everyone dies regardless
Full black looks great
vw expand blob vs 309
Old small cars are nice.
That is actually just a blob
How is it overengineered
It's the same 3 cylinder from a Mini with a bigger turbo
I'd say the Yaris/Corolla GR has more engineering that went into it.
Red 309
Is it a diesel? If so, it's basically the same spec as my grandpa had
Does it have striping on the side?
Also: bargain basement equipment ID.3
yeah its a gld, no striping
Gelderland???!?
Guys would it kill the driver if he quad turboed a 765lt
if you could afford 4 turbos a 765lt, and to make some space for them somewhere
I mean a 765lt aldready has a twin turbo so like another 2 turbos would make less lag and produce more power?
more lag, more power, more weight, less room.
(more lag depending on the 2nd set's size and pressure rating of course)
I mean lets say you remove the 2 existing ones and switch it with 4 g series compression auerodynemos turbos they really small but pack a lot of power
Like would that solve the lag problem
ask someone who worked on the car at this point if you're serious
Rn im just asking oit of curiosity dont know bout the future
just buy a chiron, remove the turbos and put them into the mclaren
money can buy you nearly anything
More doesnt mean better
unless its a big engine like the W16 from Bugatti
could you swap a train with an internal combustion engine?
No
Actually depends
it would be so loud
Trains are electrical
no like a diesel so it would have enough torque
what about a turbo diesel from heavy construction equipment
Technically trains are turbo diesels
steam train
It wouldnt work
alright
Just use a tank engine at that point.
Tank engines arent that big tbh
Would be good to speed up and derail
drag racing trains has now begun
Might work
lmao
Just a lot of smoke
that sight would be something else
and no action
Imagine if tanks were 2jz swapped
that would have to be a light tank
Wouldnt even move
Get these small gta tanks
Could be used to start the tank.
In tanks and trains its about torque
Yeah
The Panzerkampfwagen V Panther was a Medium Tank used by the German Wehrmacht during World War 2. It entered service during 1943 and served through til the end of the war. Around 6000 were produced in all varients during it's service period. It was armed with a 75mm KwK42 L/70 gun, a formidable armament, and was protected by armour of varying th...
Talk about compression
I just looked it up, and each merlin 1b engine has 2,500 hp. so with like 10, a steam train wouldn't move?
How much torque ?
They produce thrust. They are rocket engines. I'm assuming you know what those are.
there is no torque
Yikes god no xD GLD was a trim back in the day on Peugeots 🙃 Basically a GL + D for diesel
"The torque would not necessarily apply to a rocket propulsion as unlike the cars which requires turning force ... The rocket thrusters cannot generate significant torque and are primarily used for course correction. The 'Torque' is the turning force generated say in the car wheels."
85k lbs is a lot
85k lbs of thrust
and the falcon heavy is heavy as the name suggests
so it uses 27 of them.
a bit heavy
a train has around 40k lbs of torque
Yeah but you would have to have engines at the back
the train will have fuel to go more than a mile or whatever
pushing the cargo
you'll also deform the rails as you go along due to heating probably
Also jet fuel and oxygen would have to be carried
Also probably derail
since rockets provide a lot of power at once
you cant even go particularly fast on rail usually
bit more, unless this is some super big freight train
Yeah the only thing it would be able to move is itself
are you using kph or mph your typoing
this is from the spacex website: "Falcon Heavy is the most powerful operational rocket in the world by a factor of two. With the ability to lift into orbit nearly 64 metric tons (141,000 lb) Falcon Heavy can lift more than twice the payload of the next closest operational vehicle, the Delta IV Heavy. Falcon Heavy is composed of three Falcon 9 nine-engine cores whose 27 Merlin engines together generate more than 5 million pounds of thrust at liftoff, equal to approximately eighteen 747 aircraft."
average speed of a cargo train is 32kmh
so the rocket itself has a huge lifting capacity
and a train is impractical and this whole conversation is pretty much a joke as well.
Trains are very practical
not when you attach rocket engines instead of a traditional propulsion system for a train
is what i really meant, sorry.
cargo ships can probably carry like 200 trains too :o
a train car is the same size as one of those containers right?
doesnt it come to fuel consumption per tonn per mile?
Yeah basically since it would be able to speed up the train but not sustain the speed
beside that both transportation methods has advantages/disadvantages
so 100 trains with 200 cars
i mean ignoring weight and other factors
18t a cargo train weights
10500 trains
a train is around 2 containers long
possibly 3
honestly i have no idea what this conversation is anymore so... what is your favorite type of engine and the specific one
yes i would agree, except for afterburning turbofans
yeah
f119!
I wonder if anyone has supercharged a supra
Only turbo supra
i apologize for my terrible humor
Well I gotta go
same lmao
see ya
chao
Not a car - but check out this ass hattery -- new replacement lawn tractor battery
Here is the one I replaced:
Notice anything?
well atleast theres probably not any confusers for you to kill by connecting it the wrong way heh
I mean besides from swapping the polarity of the terminals
sigh
luckily its fused, PITA
I'd actually try it if there's a car like that
If I fit tracking devices to my cars it brings down my insurance a bunch
do they think I own cars that are desirable classics or something
peugeots battery would be flat before they can get its diesel lump going in the cold of the night, dafties.
This isn't how physics works
Even if they're smaller now you have to spool 4 turbos instead of 2
and now you need way stronger chargepipes and plumbing systems to handle all that boost
Pressure is inverse to volume, so since you're using smaller turbos now you have a much higher pressure from the get-go to deal with even if its the same amount of physical air moving
truck guys all over the world are creaming
Pressure is inverse to volume on a given amount of X gas, in this instance that's not applicable
Moving the same amount of air through a smaller turbo means pressure is gonna be higher
However the reason why a larger turbo can generate more HP at a given PSI is tempreture
That's because the smaller turbo will spin faster resulting in hotter air which is less dense
If you somehow managed to keep the air the same tempreture, the PSI and the volume would be the same
That's because pressure is directly tied into the amount of air in X amount of space
However tempreture is the variable in-between those setups
Oh, also, this is assuming your intake manifold has the same volume aswell
Because if it doesn't you'll be pushing in less air into less space to get the same pressure
In his example of 4 smaller turbos vs 2 bigger turbos, if it was built in a way where the 4 smaller turbos are feeding 2 cylinders each, it could generate the same amount of power as 2 turbos feeding 4 cylinders (assuming a V8 and assuming it's not a sequential setup)
I recommend you check out how sequential setups work
Also, by the way, whatever the hell they're trying to do to eliminate lag JuSt ShoVe MoRe TuRbO iN
If you have 100s of millions to be able to afford to do anything, you'd be hiring an engineer and reviving the twin-charging technology, as it entirely eliminates lag
Yes, 1 smaller turbo is worse than 1 bigger turbo cus heat, 4 smaller turbos could be less laggy and the same as 2 bigger turbos, however it's entirely dependent on setup (sequential or series) and manifold volume
The more common is sequential now though right?
Yea sequential helps more with lag, and heat
Series i think is used in V6 engines a lot
Sequential is also way more complicated tho, and requires a lot of math
Yeah donut media taught me
Twin-charging is the best of both worlds, because you entirely eliminate lag
But the issue with that is... Here wai
Fun:)
Ehh, sort of
Maybe after i graduate i could try to do something stupid if i can find an easy to work on supercar platform
Lmao
This is specifically how it works for people who care
To be honest, we don't know
Because analyzing something like this is hard
Eh, not necessarily as twin-turbo charging systems (sequential specifically) do this already
Huh, however now I've noticed something
The way I'd do it is different than how VW has done it
I'd have a contingent control valve between the turbo and the intake manifold to bypass the turbo at lower engine RPMs...
I mean a decent bit
Well the idea with twin-charging is the pressure is actually normalized, so it should NEVER go above the pressure generated of the turbo alone
Because all the supercharger is there for is low RPM pressure
As soon as the turbo spools up the turbo takes over and the supercharger is bypassed
I can see a couple failure points tho
The control valve could fail to open, leading to the turbo trying to suck more air in than possible from the supercharger, creating a vacuum and destroying the supercharger or itself
ayo new portugal:the man album drop?
Favourite car?
The one I have except done
Tie between the Jesko Absolut, M8 Vert, M5 CS, M5 E60/M6 E63/M3 E92, E92 335i, M3 Competition G80 and the Mk5 Supra
Oh nice mines the porsche 911 gt3 rs
Basically WAG
WAG owns both
I’m aware
but they also own SEAT and Skoda and stuff that you can’t say are engineered well
Their is a reason behind it
its designed to be shit so people buy one more often
Buggati isnt great with the engineering either its just people dont use the car
And Porsche its like 90% engine out jobs
They engineered a car to go over 300 mph and that’s more than enough to write home about
Doesnt mean its a good car
yeah i guess
Koenigsegg takes top place
Yeah id say they are miles ahead of Zonda
Yh same
1600 Hp out of a V8 is bonkers
Zonda is just a overprices amg
600 hp out of a 3 cylinder is simply insane
And they own FreeValve which makes camless engine designs, which is completely game changing for engines around the world
They look good
what???
?
Koenigsegg has not much engineering behind it
they essentially use LS engines... which are not at all hard to get 2K HP out from...
If you say so bro
like it literally use to use LS based engines, now it uses Ford Modular engines
but like
ok
i didnt know getting an engine that can get to 1500HP with junkyard parts was deservant of worlds best engineering XD
no, im saying you can get LS engines to 1500HP with junkyard parts.
which, you can, its been proven already by roadkill
yea, thats cool
still wouldnt say koenigsegg is the worlds best engineering for automotive
theyre a contender
definitely
i dont think we should go into the creation of certain specific technologies because im pretty sure for every 1 that koenigsegg has developed WAG has developed 100
Because WAG functions with like 7 makes underneath it, the technologies implemented in say, Porsche, or Bugatti, individually as functioning companies is what I refer to
sure, but you cant refer to them that way
as Porsche, Bugatti, Bentley, and other WAG brands share technology between eachother
thats like trying to refer to Audi and Lamborghini seperately
Urus
sure you can try to, but when you start comparing apples to apples with Audi' RS7 and R8 to Lamborghinis cars that use the same engines, you run into a wall
also yea, Urus
ive seen that thing irl
one of the ugliest cars ive ever seen
Rebadged RSQ8
992?
GT3?
what? no?
C4, the whole of 997.1s are around 50K right now manual
non cabrio ones tho
cabrio are a little cheaper
im not talking about a new R8, i dont buy new cars as theyre not good investments
I know jack about the 911 lineup
Went to the porsche website and studied on the models for 2 hours
carrera, carrera 4, carrera S, carrera 4S, GTS, GT2, GT3, Turbo, Turbo S
And then tried ratting them off and missed like 3? models
and oh, Targa
Targa 4
i think i may be forgetting some more
there are a lot of 911s
Targa GTS
Theres a GT4 too no
is there?
There is apparently
GTS 911s are really nice, Targa GTS is even better
like if i was splurging on specifically a 911 itd be a GTS or a Targa GTS
And then theres the GT2 RS, GT3RS, GT4RS
I have a friend who's got a Cayman GTS and is obsessed with porsche so I know all this stuff
Me, personally, wouldn't buy a supercar because if something goes wrong I know for sure I'm going broke trying to fix it
eh its not that bad
my 911 had multiple issues in the first 6 months
(bad water pump, suspension rot, brake fluid line rot)
it was about 3-4K$ in total for fixes
No warranty?
i also replaced the tires too because they were going bad
nah, its a used car
06' so ofc no warranty
Ah you said first 6 months so I assumed
first 6 months of me owning it i mean
its had 2 owners before me
i think the 1st one took real good care of it
and the 2nd one didnt
cus it has some issues that bad maintenance would cause
was it from a deeler
over here the consumer rights are pretty good when buying from dealers
originally i wanted a lotus Evora, but they got real expensive as soon as lotus announced theyd be finishing the series
idk what over here is XD
basically car has to be fit for purpose for the first 6 months
im in the US
I'm just looking for a decent M3 E92, a really cheap M5 V10 or a good condition 335i
I'm tryna do some restoration projects
why not older : )
E46? I don't have passion for generations before that
the oldest ill go with cars is 2000, if im buying older than that its a project car that im gonna rip literally everything out of and replace
We had an old E90 that was totaled in a crash when I was 11 and I wanted to continue that car's legacy. It went 150K miles with 0 issues to anything and was the best car in my eyes when I was young
the newest ill buy is probably around 2000
tearing my 305 apart as the floor is soft due to a pea brain design
the newest ill buy is like 2015 as after that basically nothing improved
That is low, in comparison to my fathers ‘01 920000km+
Can you covert that to American
Is that like 700k miles or sum
Around 600000 Miles
Just devide it by 1,6
Oh ok
1.61 is more accurate
😛
Refueled my grandpa's car last Friday, first time this year
So ~700km in 4 months
=435 miles
wtf is that
A sucker to test cooling in the vehicle
Is it shooting out the top lol
ooh I love those
Well, OHRA km insurance something for him?
Ty, ths rims or?
Pay per 1000km instead of every month
its a block tester, a little bit of fluid sits in the bottom and if the headgasket is leaking it will turn green
however im not sure my green coolant volcanoing out is quite the activation
The blue fluid that sits in that tester gets activated from exhaust gases.
I know im taking the piss
Both the car and the rims lol
No motorcycle channel, and I'm stumped so I figured you guys might have an idea. I have an 06 Yamaha VStar 650 that cranks but won't turn over, and I cannot produce a spark in testing.
Things I've tested/replaced so far:
New spark plugs
Checked all the fuses
Charged old battery, 12.7ish volts
Tried new battery, roughly the same voltage
Ignition coils show 4.5-4.6 ohms at leads and 22k-24k ohms at spark plug caps
Video is cranking sound with the new battery I used to test with.
Nothing is wrong with the kill switch?
And I'm guessing it's electronic ignition?
Electronic ignition and the killswitch does its job only when it's engaged.
Is it electric start only?
Except for pop starting it, which risks breaking the shift lever if you try to use the heel.
My old twingo.
Eww French (Renault is still better than PSA)
I don't have it anymore.
But I still miss it and want to drive it again.
appears behind you
rugged and reliable enough to get africas approval
(PSA is still better than VAG)

I never really cared much for french cars until I got into classics
compared to the classic fords everyone lusts over here the peugeots are much better cars
No. VAG is better
How about the side stand switch? Does that work?
It does, and the bike is designed to start in neutral with the side stand down.
have you checked whatever sensor it uses to fire a spark is working
crankshaft position sensor?
pickup coil actually
How about that, does the neutral light come on when you're in neutral?
It does. Though I get the feeling you're yanking my chain because I said something that's obvious to some people and not others.
Pick up coil gives me a .650-.730ish mOhm reading, but I'm unable to find any documentation about what that means.
Peugeot should focus on manufacturing pepper mills instead of vehicles.
VW should focus on manufacturing sausages instead of vehicles.
My dad got a Mazda 6 recently it has a 2.5L 4 cylinder turbo and it is the top model you can get.
We went for a cruze in it and it handles nicely and has better perfomance then a Ford AU XR6 Falcon manual with a HIgh performace engine
That is what 20 years of development nets you.
The 4.0L HiPo made what... 230 horsepower?
Just bought this. Well paid him half as a deposit getting it thrisday
Looks clean underneath
Yea that’s one reason I bought it eight unseen
someone cut my cat off dammit
Oof
i think i might just buy a new truck

i already did a rack and pinion, serpentine belt, new plugs
Any of yall have any suggestions for cars/trucks that sell avg. less than 4k?
I'm guessing you don't have the insurance to cover the cat.
no
i only have liability
and it’s a 2005 f150xl with 270k miles, so it’s worth like a grand maybe
i’m just gonna weld a section of pipe where the cat was
Knowing the market. It's probably worth a whole lot more.
maybe
I bought it for 1.3k in 2019 put 1.4k into the rack and pinion and stuff (had to bring it to a shop bc i don’t have a lift)
maybe I could dump it on fb marketplace for like 3k and see if anybody is interested
You should be able to get the money back from it at least. Depending on how the condition of yours is.
probably.
it’s in good nick cosmetically, a bit of rocker rust and dents on the tailgate, but it has a roof rack and bed cap
but it’s got a lethargic 4.2l v6,
Lmao. That one I showed is also missing its cat.
And it needs two coils.
Who would have thought that stealing cats from trucks was easy.
They are jacked up and ready from factory.
a couple pics taken at diff. times
yea it’s super fast
it’s got crank windows and no power anything except a radio
however it’s the lowest value color, aspen green
What are you talking about? It's a good color!
yea ik but i guess the market values green lower than the other colors lmao
and the green paint is turning my rims green
"Cars are only allowed to be black and white!"
Man i’d love an Alpina B3
M340i body but with the S58 engine
the german 2JZ
the new german 2JZ rather, the old one is the N54
They should repeal Tesla's permit while they still can. In addition to systemic Clean Air Act violations, Tesla's Fremont, CA factory appears to have been leaking PCE into the groundwater there. Concentrations have risen from 6.8 μg/l in 2014 to 33.5 μg/l
Tesla ain't green
I like how far forward the front wheels are
saab can consume like a small pavement before the front wheels hit the kerb
I exaggerate but we do have pavements that small
Yeah imagine thinking electric cars aren't the solution to all our problems
Put a gigafactory in the Amazon, all the plantlife won't die if they have jobs to pay their bills
But don't let em form a union
But well all car companies are greenwashing now 👀
it lurks in the shadows, unobtainable parts it demands
i think hydrogen is a better bet
it’s got a ways to go tho
yo sick
hehehe I have an N54 in my 335i. Goes like the clappers. Funnily enough I came from Skylines with RB25's (Well, mine had an RB25/30 build in it) and the N54 definitely feels nicer.
RB sounded better
found on tiktok and it looks insane
jesus
Those are F250s or Excursions lol.
That’s sick, what mods if any are you running
dodge ram, yes
I've seen ads like those
Not gonna lie I actually want a powerful SUV from a f250 pickup truck.
Like a V10 or a Diesel so I can take a trailer full of camping gear and have 8 seats.
Or take the 2 benches off to make a massive space.
get the 7.3 diesel. the v10’s guzzle gas like mad
i dont understand how is this even possible
wow
yes. however, i think a point could be made for it (eventually) being somewhat rare, being one of the very last american made v10’s. not that that’s a selling point really
The v10 in the srt10/viper will probably be the one that does that
Yeah
because they’re all totaled
not all, but many were
I think you're overestimating the amount of them that were wrecked
i am
there’s still a lot out there but you never see any (especially the first gens) because they’re parked which is a true shame
Then they get wrecked when they come out because the tires are rocks
yea
and some of them were wrecked because their dumbass owners pulled a mustang moment, and forgot that there was no traction control and wrapped it around a tree
and no abs either
I like how dodge didn't put any traction control in a lot of stuff from that era
i do too
my truck doesn’t have traction control, my 05 f150 xl
yea i have abs and that’s it too
crank windows, manual locks
Ticking time bomb of a truck but it ran and drove
lmaoo
i have hella lifter ticking but it doesn’t really hurt nothing
i find it fun to drive a rwd truck in michigan during the winter with no traction control
Supposedly the engine of that truck only had 80k or so
I sold it after less than a year of ownership
I think I owned it for around 6-8 months
It had a rear main seal that was getting worse and I was quoted ~$2000 for that
I sold the truck for an overall loss but I got a good deal on my dakota
I overpaid for mine
owned it since 2019
Bought for $3200 and sold for $2500
That was after I did a few hundred dollars in maintenance too
i got a nice discount bc it was my dad’s work’s fleet truck and they were auctioning it off
mine was very well kept
But I paid $1900 for the dakota and put ~$300-400 into it
rusty body panels n shit but overall solid
nice!
that’s a steal
what year?
I did a wheel bearing and diff cover myself then had a shop do a pretty big trans leak
2000
ohhh ok
It's an R/T so it has the 5.9
i have to do the ball joints on mine soon, when it gets nice out
Basically a top spec truck too
jeez
So even though it's older it feels a lot nicer
very good steal
The paint isn't very good but that's to be expected from that era of dodge
mine’s not much but it pulls the boat, and I can beat it up and it doesn’t matter
yea my paint’s shit too
The gas mileage is probably a fair amount worse than the f150 too
I get around 11 mpg in town
16 on highways and 12-14 on the interstate
i get 13 city, 15 highway, as the v6 has to work so much harder to haul it’s just under 3 tons around
oh yeeaaa
The regular dakota might be better but mine is lowered from the factory
i have very stiff leaf springs on the back and i feel like im in a catapult
The Alepa Racing C7 Corvette, powered by a Pro Line Racing Hemi, twin 102mm turbos, fully controlled by the FuelTech USA FT600 and sporting the FTSPARK-8 CDI coil near plug system just went over 5200hp on the hub dyno!
absolutely insane build
i would 100% mod my car to look as agressive as that if i could
dyno somehow withstood the immense forces
probably off for engine swappage fuckery the owner doesent really fuck about with cars too often so slow progress
off doing weird life shit like buying a house, crazy guy.
Just a JB4 and mhd BEF
No DP?
I’m working on a new fueling setup to use e85. We have e85 at a fair few pumps in Australia. Then I’ll probably up the boost a little bit more. I’ve got my eyes on a pair of decat pipes as well as a bigger inter cooler
It’s on the cards but I’m not that fussed these days. Still goes fairly quick. When I got it we dynoed it at 185kw at the wheels which isn’t bad for a little family sedan!
Sick haha
I drive mine daily and take a baby in the back so I’m keeping it super reliable. Can’t afford to be stranded with baby on board!
Had enough of that with my r33/r34/e36/180sx
Saw this cute bug eye today
The Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has been blacklisted by Ferrari for violating the carmaker’s code of conduct by changing his vehicle’s colour to neon blue. The company, based in Maranello, Italy, has strict rules to ensure the prestige of its brand. In addition to giving his white Ferrari 458 Ita
Ferrari doesn't give two fucks lol
Defo still maintaining that elite club image
i mean only if you buy from ferarri direct
if you go to a dealer i dont think they would care 😛
dealer?
I mean if your going for second hand etc but If you got the money id assume most would go for the full ferrari feel
No those people have "a guy" to which they say Oi I want a Ferrari xxx in this specs next week and then they scout the country to get that car for them
Yeah Ferrari are reeeealllly funny about who they sell new cars too
Jay Leno has been holding a grudge about it for 30 years
love the Saab. miss mine. i wish that company would come back.
You guys want a Honda Civic?
I keep looking back at my car after parking it. Loving the new rims I got for it.
This is a Tesla Daily Update about the Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Plaid produced in Giga Berlin. Tesla or Tesla Austin Texas produces the Tesla FSD and the Tesla Cybertruck or the Tesla Semi. All owned by Elon Musk that created Cybertruck and SpaceX. The Tesla Model Y and Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model S are all produces in Gigafactory 2022.
Classic tesla headline
Whats gonna happen, probably not much 👀
lol
I give them the main praise for actually getting the ev market rolling, but everything else about them meh, they still got in some parts a lead tho 👀
I'll believe it when I see it. Considering that they sure like to announce new models and such, but they lack on the delivery part.
it was swept like a day ago 🗿
You guys remember the Tesla Roadster? Semi? Truck?
I rather watch what Hyundai/kia are doing than tesla
Tesla is a joke of a company
I agree
They claim to be green while pouring acid into the area
very green
But they had so many pre-orders! Just look at the amount of people who paid $100 to apply for one.
Elon Musk is a rich asshole, Tesla only makes money because of fanboys, SpaceX has done basically nothing useful and has created a ton of pollution in the process
never got anything
When are we eating the rich
Tesla got a free interest-free loan.
Also government funded
A car company will never be green... Its all just marketing crap
I mean yeah but providing a shitty electric RC car and forcing it really dumb
amateur carpenter offering guillotine manufacturing services, will work for just the material cost if its in the name of a class revolution
He just used the opportunity
The quality of a Tesla is literally a joke
buying parts doesnt exist and when it does they want a arm and a leg
How anyone defends them is beyond me
I mean we don't really have to talk about volkswagens position in Germany and then a interest free loan doesn't sound too bad tbh
Fan boys
Only people that buy them and people that have no clue how to drive \
Yes of course
Teslas are all literally shit and there’s no compelling reason to buy one unless you’re a fanboy
Or you have a lil bit of too much money
steal charger covers off every tesla in your area and make everyone hate the company
because they cant get parts to replace it
I wish they didnt have a lock
Elon is obviously a prick and Tesla have done some shady shit
so I could just unplug it so them come back to a 2mile range
The quality is bad and the parts are too expensive. But they produce compelling products at a compelling price that for 9 years no one could even compete with
Many things are like this mainly because someone does one good thing and the little really bad things just dont seem to make a difference
Yes…it’s Elon that’s a dick, not you, trying to ruin peoples day because they bought a car from a company you don’t like
"compelling products" ah yes, cars that when you open the trunk in the rain all the water falls into the trunk
or cars that ship without seats
Would be worth it
true
Yes, and of course, this is the only reason people choose a car, and why definitely no one has ever bought a Tesla
People just wanna get where they need to go
ok fanboy
Im surprised there arent any protests
Lol, I am not a fanboi
dont defend them then lol
Tesla is a pile of shit
Most of their revenue was from bitcoin :)
Not everything about tesla is bad, just a lot they do some things well, but some are bad to horrific
But if you can’t see why they’ve managed what they’ve managed, or understand why people value their products then you’re an idiot
Elon Musk is subhuman garbage, the company is shady af, theur cars are poorly designed
They're making things impossible for consumers to repair
Literally the only good thing about a tesla is the drive motors and the batteries
That's it
Poorly designed is a little strong. There are elements of their design that are bad (like the water thing) and others that are anti consumer
The car industry would be better off for that I think
I would take literally any electric version of a normal car over a tesla
But Tesla sells every car they can make
It would be so much better
New vehicular transportation for my sister in law (T-Cross), I liked the Peugeot 208 she had more. Also, included the Saab for @charred depot
Taycan is like 30k more but 100x better
Isnt that what rimacs plan is?
Teslas a re better at some stuff. For 9 years it wasn’t close
Is it? Idk
I would take an e-Up! over a tesla plaid
not seen those alloys before, not saab id say
Actually ive seen those alloys in a much bigger size on a big merc suv
Creating a hug trash can out of space ?
I still don’t know if there are any EVs that are clearly better than the equivalent Tesla
Really dont understand why they sent a roadster into space
E-up is a honest car its just too expensive for what is is but it's a general issue with the up in the last years
Literally every electric vehicle currently on the market is better than teslas cars
Maybe the range isn't as good, but in every other way they're better
Also 2nd best selling ev in Germany last year, because its the least affected by chip shortage
i would take 10 year old Volkswagen Polo over a tesla, because it's not a car that's designed to not be repairable
Don’t forget boot space
eF150
Teslas have good range AND good boot space
better than a tesla
Do I want an F150lightnjng
teslas are big cars : )
Not an ev but i take that one
Big things are 0 issue for me
I also live in the UK, where they don’t sell F150s because they don’t fit on our roads
But it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever seen.
Only viable EV that isnt pure garbage is the Taycan and audi Etron
e-Golf
that too
Na egolf was a bit crap
essentially everything that isnt a tesla
Mach-E is pretty good. Ioniq 5 too
Same as up too expensive for what is is
good space, well engineered (its a golf), parts and service are available
ioniq 5 is nice
e-golf is good
id blob
I wish they would sell the ID.3 here
I do not like the id3
Id blob is just bad
We're getting the ID.4 but not the 3
Like all new vw
The id4 is obviously superior
no
But still a bit shit
I want the Corolla in the EU
big SUV bad
We have the Atlas for that, it's the best SUV on the market imo
3.6 VR6 baybee
Volkswagen Atlas
oh yeah
I like this ine
looks pretty nice
never seen one is this a US only thing ?
Atlas is best SUV
Best vw you can drive electric only is mk7 gte change my mind and yes i know it only has 50km ev range
its like a a lot better toureg
yes and no
Sadly no TDI option because dieselgate
V10 TDI Atlas would be insane
50km range is mighty pitiful
Probably no room
Mk7.5
I mean vr6 does the job
7.5 is just a facelift, same car
It's enough for some people. It's about an hour's worth.
That wouldn't even get me to school and back lmao
Or wait. Are you thinking about the e-Golf?
50km ev only range it probably has like 700 with the gasoline engine
MK7 and MK7.5, same car different styling
mk8 golf is hot garbage
Eugh
Hybrid, thats why i said best car that you can drive electric
I mean with the electric stuff. Are you thinking about the all-electric Golf?
And i think gte was only after the facelift
Because the later generation e-Golf had longer ranges than previous years.
100+ miles.
isnt that the mk8 ?
Egolf was only mk7, first had like the range of the current e up and later a 100km or smth more
Waaait
I'd half my taxes if I'd replace the up with a mk7 gte
👀
Why does 28€ yearly tax exist, that's just something to be annoying
wonder when they will ramp up taxes on EVs with the lost fuel duty
gotta pick their moment
I'm not gonna buy an electric car for as long as physically possible
The Wheels had nothing written on them so idk
Probably not Factory Saab
Bumpers are also US spec? Or did they all have those harmonica bumpers?
It's a 900 2.0 GL according to the license plate
B20 engine code?
B202
It's a 1991
bumper looks normal to me
Ah license plate registration just says B20 lol
Could be standard bumpers, that's would be a Saab thing to do yes
guess its just stating benzine 2 litre
No engine code is also usually listed
But import so could be entered wrong I guess
I love the highway code updates here
not a single soul is following them
I had a go but it was just so akward

So this is what I get for making my gas light blinking saying low fuel on my Chevy S10
🤬🤬
Cheap
PENNIES
How many miles are that
I get 30 miles per gallon :p
yeah hard to believe a 4.3 v6 sips gas
I can get 30 US mpg if I try for it
Even the most efficient cars here won't do 1000km at 92USD nowadays
saab holds 18.5 us gal costs $150 to fill
I swear its that uphill motorway thats sucking my money
Gets us ~460 miles
people infront of me on the sliproad merge at like 40mph and I downshift to second to overtake
It's always uphill when people start to overtake 20 under Vmax also

Filling up a F350 XLT is a bloody nightmare
the merge road is downhill when there isnt any absolutely creatures you can gain 70mph with minimal effort
I tried to avoid using it for work 🤣
But, fixed the CEL on zhe Meriva
Ordered the patt which is wrong according to GM, imported it from the US, works flawlessly

Almost identical
Nice thonk

Nice dip
it makes breaking the wheels loose extremely painful
LOL
I hope it'll embed
Yes
Kinda
Cyclist getting run over omw2 work
Kind of far away on the camera to properly see it, also just behind the Audi
Dacia Duster
dacia dusted

cant wait to switch to the peugeot though, saab 2 fast
Also did a U-turn... Where the sign says he's not allowed to. Classic
rear subframe has caused quite the delay
Oh yes all the ~130hp from a N/A 2.0?
too fast
50hp more suitable for speed limits
I love how soft the 305 suspension is, the seats you sink into
never really cared about car comfort but its nice

will be getting 165's
Wide boiis
the no power steering isnt really that bad, and thats with like 14psi 175 winter tyres on the front
when I go into the saab though im like whoa and the saab has pretty weak ps
If I was going from the peugeot to EPS id end up full lock by tapping the wheel
I know someone has one with a corsa or astra eps thing welded onto their steering shaft
I think my cav AVGs about the same
on autobahn I got 8l/100
but mixed driving 10l/100km
the saab is pretty shit aero wise so benefits massively from doing say 50 instead of 75
Big oof
adequate punishment
Lord have mercy im about to bust
This is a different heritage GT than the first one
here's a hot take
Here’s the engine from one of them
the gulf livery is overdone
Yeah they’re cool I love GTs
still think shmee150's gt is the best looking one
Good thing ill be interning with ford soon
