Tbh stick isn't special for most everyday driving purposes imo, but one thing I know it's good for is controlling what gear you're in fast. I know when I floor it in my auto car it takes a solid while to switch down a gear so I can pass a car or zoom.

Being able to control that manually would be much faster and also just feel kinda cool.

The Octavia is a hatch, not a sedan, so it is more practical. It's a bigger overall car, and the cargo capacity in the liftback version is more than an A4 wagon, so it's pretty different

and the wagon is way bigger

in terms of cargo capacity. I've seen numerous people here in the UK use the wagons as work vans because it's hard to find a vehicle with a footprint that small that has that much capacity for carrying stuff

The bronco sport is not true 4x4, it's haldex all wheel drive just like the escape. The Subaru is the only vehicle in the class with true symmetrical AWD

That said, the bronco sport does very well off road for a small crossover because it can mimic a locking differential with torque vectoring via braking

Imo it rides a bit worse than the escape which it is based on but I like the style and interior, so if that's what you like too I'd say go for it. Just don't let them gouge you for it because I know they're in high demand

There should be a "Park and Ride" system, which lets you park the car just outside Brussels and you can take Public Transport from there

But those parkings are basically reserved for people who do that every day of the week (they have a subscription)

There is one open for "other" people

But it's on the entirely different side of the city, so I first have to drive all the way around it

The information I can find about it is horrendous

My other solution was parking a car at a nearer train station and then take the train from there... but the car park only let's you park there if you have a valid ticket on a "MOBIB" card which is something specifically for Belgians which I also don't have
