i can never trust a opel
im thinking of getting a car but i cant decide which one to get
i want a car that is OG but more insurance that way
I just decide based off whats available
because UK
what do you mean
you can have an original car without anything fancy
very original
but its a 3 liter
i know
i want to get a 1.4 or 1.5
so i can not get killed by insurance
here you go
see i would get that
but ULEZ
and fiesta i cant fit in
polo same thing there
Polski Fiat no go
that car will be ulez exempt soon
seem to have drifted away from originality
i would literally get a Audi a8 d11 rn but they cost like 13k for a decent example and umm v8
Also older cars that are cool are literally a 2l every time
1.8t occasionally
vauxhall chevette 1.3 litre
yeah but i want reliability
what do you know of the reliability of 40 year old vauxhalls
engine from a motorbike
wot
probably not many parts
Looks at his Corsa which never failed
Corsa speaks chav to me
Oh yeah totally chav spec
Basically this spec except the black wheels
But mine is entirely stock 😛
I wanted those black wheels
volkswagens get chavved more than corsas around here these days
But too uncomfortable for the poor Belgian roads
see Mitsubishi Mirage cool right
but im too tall for it
pure performance upgrades
how tall ?
I'm 6ft4/1.94m
If you are tall just get a saab
my friend borders on 7ft and drives a 2016 mazda 2
i did my lessons in a fiesta and i can say if you have broad shoulders no go
But saab parts are like Gold
no
you can get an entire low mileage engine replacement for £125
suspension parts all readily available
Im not going to have an issue getting parts
ill look into this
for 2012 it looked really good
tbh looks like it could compete with the E class
the new one that is
I struggle to believe my car is 27 years old sometimes
but I am stuck in the past with low expectations
other than my broken rear shock mounts I need to replace and my engine issues, this is basically perfect imo
And I hate that the dash board is made from a soft material
mine is slightly padded and it feels waaaaaay better than hard plastic to me
But for me is unpractical
it's pretty firm still but just enough that it doesn't feel cheap like plastic
I can't add suction cup things to it
the dash on my 37 year old car is disintegrating
theres a 2nd gen dodge ram in my driveway, they are notorious for having cracked dashboards
Part of my distaste for hard plastic, UV damages it and it gets brittle
Imo this is one of the best designed interiors of all time
My friend made a ringer and the easy way you can tell is its a UV damaged car in the UK that isnt red
(vin swap)
These cup holder be like.
Brakes, everything spills.
Uses handbrake? The cup will just move with the lever.
question nothing
My 307 needs new brake rotors, alignment and a hole in the floor patches
bought a 305 from portugal I think and converted it to rhd
then swapped the vin and plates off a UK 305
Isn't UK filled with like older cars for sale that are hard to seel because they are rhd?
Because it doesn't feel right converting lhd car to rhd
there isnt many 305's left in the UK
Then I guess makes sense
their rust proofing left a very very lot to be desired, 205's are lightyears better
it was just before peugeot started waxing the inside of box sections
At least the rust proofing in my 307 is better than the focus I had
and a terrible drainage system that clogged to go with it
for example there is zero peugeot 305 GLD's on the road at the moment in the UK
28 off the road one of which I have
many parts sites dont even recognise the 305's existence
they have 505's 205's but 305 never happened
this is all 305 models
That's a big drop
the main issue was in other cars you can deal with them rusting ladas etc
whats a gaping hole in the sill, but with the 305 its primary rust spot was hidden infront of the dashboard and inaccessible.
the result was your car flooding everytime it rained
you have to remove the entire dashboard to repair it
Sounds like more than pain
and thats how they got scrapped
you cant even see it happening until your car is flooded
welp. my front suspention has lot's of play in them
maroon gang
@civic spoke The 911 is the beetle of the sports car category smh
At least I can fit in a Miata…
5'11" on average... I'm taller 😛
I'm not comfortable in an NA MX5
How hard was the conversion process?
wasnt there, but I cant imagine it being too challenging, had the entire other car
Oh ok
they cut out part of the original UK car and welded it in
no as I say the entire UK car dash and metalwork ahead of it was swapped in
Ok

That’s pretty cool tho
Good luck trying that with modern cars lol
Lol
its funny people end up buying it then posting on forums about their new 305
they blur out the reg and my friend goes is the reg ...
oh yeah you know its a ringer right
the new owners didnt seem too keen to pass the message along when they got rid of the car
The pugeot’s antenna makes it look like an RC car 😂
top this antenna
The long boi
Tbh if you go to a parking lot and look at all antennas.... Cars look weird AF lol
Yeah
Most cars I see have shark fins now, which look nicer but aren’t as fun as a regular antenna
Or maybe it’s just me who thinks the normal wobbly antennas are fun :p
Yeah nowadays shark fins are common
But putting shark fins on cars not designed to have them often also look weird
My friends got a 505 estate coming that he was offered for £500
Yeah
the petrol engine is blown and the car is in pieces, A diesel engine will be swapped in.
I think they look good when mounted on the back in the middle. Some cars have them mounted above the drivers seat which is kinda weird
Huehue diesel go brrr
Shark fin above the driver? That's odd lol
save 2p on the wiring
Nothing too odd?
Very likely yes
officer: "do you know what speed you were doing"
Isn't that where older models had an antenna, and the new models were just a large refresh but based on the old car? (Like Golf V/VI and Mk7/Mk8)
LOL
Mmm, fuel economy
scrapit
9.3 Average

So at 10982 miles, it used already 1180 gallons
Or 4470L

That should get me over 40k miles
Lol
I think that’s over a certain amount of miles
Like last 30 or so
Not over the total mileage of the car
as far as I know mine just goes until I clear it
Mine can't keep track of it due to the dual fuel system
9.3 MPG? bruh i could get that with a C30 squarebody dually
with a 454
I think it’s that low because I’ve been driving in 4x4 and with lots of stops and idling. Currently I’m at a ski resort with my family so we’ve been driving around the resort a lot
SKR
Donuts in the snow video with the Escalade when?!😛
yeah average fuel consumption (even in mixed city) is around 10L/100Km IF you dont drive like a muppet
Merc's Blue Efficiency can knock it all the way down to like 8.7 but its better to be conservative here
when i was like 8 or something i went to a dealship and it had a laferrari the owner let me sit in it, ||i said no because it wasnt a p1||
I measure my mpg by my acceleration
If my mpg is too high i know I'm not accelerating enough
my car does 10l/100km
maybe I could do a bit better if my legs weren't made of lead
built for economy
What's it In kmpl
9.3 miles/gal = 3.95 km/Liter
Thx
Oh god
I get 6.75 km/liter
25L/100KM
This is what happens when you drive big fat American cars
Nice
My main car gets ~20mpg usually
the new ford pickup gets 40mpg (17 kmpl)
I’ve been on vacation with family driving my dads SUV
it's a unibody tho :(
That’s impressive, I like the maverick.
I've seen some nice mods done already, and Ford released the CAD files for their new FITs open source modding system. If they continue supporting it, it'll have a lot of potential
At least for me, I could have a unibody truck. I would use it for carrying my bike or skis around or going to Home Depot. I don’t tow or haul anything
Most people could have one
The mod system is the most interesting part for me
A lot of people buy trucks that aren't optimized to their workload, which kinda misses the point of a truck - customizing it to your usecase
Yeah
But since trucks have gotten so big, and engines have gotten so efficient, it's created a gap that's now being filled by these smalls trucks and "trucks"
The new Hyudai pickup thing with the 3 or 4 foot bed for example
Perfect for a lot of people
I'm really excited about the mod system
For one, it's cool af
But it also means that Ford is keeping DIY folks like myself in mind, which has been a major concern of mine as we enter the highly integrated electric computer vehicle era
I'm a truck guy to the bone, but unlike many idc what the propulsion system is based on, as long as I can repair it myself
EVs use a lot of “standard” parts that are the same in gas cars. Suspension, brakes, wheels + tires, etc. The main problems for DIY EV repair will come with the electric motor and battery systems.
it's more of a concern about not being "allowed" to do it (cough cough tesla cough)
External mods are far more important I think, especially because EVs are already powerful and have lots of torque. Having interchangeable racks in the back of the bed is an awesome idea for example
Have you seen the video of a stock Rivian climbing in MOAB? F-ing incredible.
STOCK
Yeah, that truck is a beast
The Rivian storage tunnel impressed me, that’s a spot I had never thought of as wasted space before
Having a trunk on a pickup is great too
Doesnt it go partially under the rear seat as well?
No, it's behind the angled backrest
What is the best lights for reflector headlamps
The 110$ halogen lights I bought don't have good throw
In the highbeam
It's like about 120m
Or100
Can't see much of the road
It goes to the cars
Philips WhiteVision?
To be fair I've also seen a stock F250 do it
what do you mean by this message 👀
Damn thats the first and last rivian will see that..
The others will just end up driving over a curb at the next supermarket
Why do i want to see a fiat panda try these offroad tracks
It probably won't even make it..
This is the new 2019 Kia Sorento SX Limited and I was lucky enough to be a part of an awesome production crew challenged by the engineers of this vehicle to tackle one of the most intimidating trails in Moab Utah... Hell's Revenge.
The only modifications we made to this brand new Kia Sorento was to mount up a set of BFGoodrich KO2 all terrain t...
Man this is the dream
liking the alpine livery
Force India
Racing Point
Alpine
that looks really cool
Manta
Honestly the fact its an Opel it really surprised me
looks like a Saab kinda
and a Muscle car at the same time
so I've tried to look for battery terminal splitter
but can't find anything that would ship in 2 days
Could always go with a diy job
I guess I just shove bare wires in to the clamp
I don't wanna be bothered with replacing entire cable
That's how my underglow is wired
Is that a terminal or a bowl of cereal
wa?t
I know, I was joking about how much white there was
yeha I know
lot's of corrosion
I could change it to this
but the problem is wires too short and also they are corroded
an now I can see why my car is famous for catching on fire
At the very least clean off the battery then replace the wire and clamp
Is it a pinto?
not that fire
electrical fire
or I could shove that washer in to the clamp and clamp it down
Do it, can't get any worse
Ty for making me want to watch new kids again...
what?
Thats the first thing i think about when i see a manta
Im confused
Idk if it was translated into English
New Kids ?
Yes
what is this ?
Dutch TV series about a couple of guys and one of them has a Manta
But i think it only got translated into german
But yeah first thing i think of when seeing a Manta
I summoned the dutch guy
😎
Ngl, those movies are quite fun
It actually started as a TV show with short sketches
Yeah we got it later because translation..
I think when comedy central got it is when we got it too
Could be, yes
When I wanted to look up clips on YouTube, half were dubbed German lol
I was like wtf
Bit I think they actually did the German voices themselves
great show
ahh, nothing like 80 horsepower and 3k pounds
Well this sucks, I left my lights on in my car for 9 hours and it's 30 degrees out and my battery jumper wasn't charged enough into jump my car
And as a socal person I don't have an ice scraper either so getting home is going to suck
I love nugget cars
Me not using brain and thinking what's the issue with 30°
It's not a V8 it's a Ford 200 cubic inch straight 6 engine
And it's equipped with a Ford C4 3 speed automatic transmission
I wish ford blocks didn't have such god awful casting quality on a lot of their blocks
I would run a cleveland or a windsor if it didn't crack in half at 500hp
Tell that to Koenigsegg. They made a 600 hp NA modified ford block a few years ago.
but good luck getting your hands on it lol
they even used a bored out old 4.6 block and twin supercharged it in the CCX and I think that had over 500hp.
well
I went to get fuel today
I did put 40 liters in gas canisters
and afternoon I've seen huge lines and some stations ran out of fuel
Wtf how are they making that out of a modified
does anyone know where I could pull the cable trough firewall in 307 2.0 16v?
Im looking into turning my M96.05 engine into 4.0l with a supercharger for fun, i wont and cant do it rn but still
Honestly I have no idea. The bottom block is literally the same one from the sn95 Mustang and the Crown Victoria. The heads are different though so that could have something to do with it. I also imagine that the block got reinforced too.
Removed the shock and carried on my jouney. It is horrible
wwhat was that?
the top of my shock absorber
F
It drives well, for completely missing a shock
meanwhile my 307 with basically drove like shit because macpherson pillows were bad
when you are going fast it feels like the back end has side to side play
so wobbly
exactly the same thing I thought it was the wind and my mind playing tricks on me
there was no trick
but then it didn't pass inspection because bad aligment, so I took it to mechanic and theyu told me macpherson pillows were bad
to make my life worse the fastening device that goes on the top (opposite of a bolt) fell down a drain
god chose violence on me today
what did they do to that mini BMW?
a fwd one?
Who?
a neighbour
Also, how do you crash an astra ._.
Im driving on these wheels
And i dont crash
he seem to hit a curb and all bodykit got mangled so bad it torn off the panels
How do you fucking crash an astra
It doesn't matter the car, with a bad enough driver anything can happen
he's always showing off
doing handbrake turns
classic expensive luxury car driver moment too cheap to change the tyres in due course.
if standing water picks up those dummy thick tyres it wont matter how good a driver you are
@charred depot :( i just put in money for new tires
1800$ total cost
Pain
Getting pilot sport 4S
well then you cant afford the car or your driving style?
I miss my focus
I got the car a year ago
set of tires were like 90 euros new
I can afford it, i just didnt think it was that big of an issue till i noticed those cracks
those cracks are nothing
I have to drive on these till i get my new set
meanwhile for my 307 they costed me 220 euros for super low end ones
I drive fast
And i also accelerate fast
And brake fast too
Things that arent good for tires longevity
ok and
@fathom socket low end would've been 1200$
I do accelerate fast, but I don't brake
But i need wet ground performance
that's low plofires for ya
could change to smaller rims
Theyre better than OEM
I could but i like my rims >:(
I had the same issue with my S13 in turkey too lmfao
I use cheap rust steelies that no one wants to steal
as my group says if you are maxing out modern tyres from a reputable brand you probably shouldnt be on the public roads.
Well, your group clearly are compromised of 60 year old women?
I dont live in the city. Driving fast on empty back roads is fun.
I live in bumfuck nowhere and my friends drive cars from the 70's and 80's
Nobody wants the rims on my truck because they are only for the dakota rt and are impossible to get tires for
I think my 14 inchers Ford Focus rims would fit in my 307
A set of factory size tires is like $1100-$1200
And only Bridgestone and pirelli make them
Lol
I have 255/50r17s on it now
Bad as I remember them
Factory is 255/55r17
I should so get a beater truck
these are my old tyres
Or like a subbie with AWD
I did see 2000$ set of road + track tires
I considered them
But i think that would be overkill for my 320 hp engine
The only thing I hate about my truck besides the regular Mopar stuff is the fuel economy
Mopar moment
Tbf all trucks from that era have awful fuel economy
Id wanna get an american sports car but they just arent upto my standards interior wise :/
They are expensive
Just diy whatever you want on the interior its not hard
Audio, lighting, materials
Etc
Doesnt look nor feel as good as factory.
Factory interiors are surprisingly primitive believe it or not lol
Yea, they are, on non premium cars.
Even then i question it lol
Especially if it's modern
You diy stuff you can make things have a really premium look and feel actually
Just go look at YouTube
@timber oar trust me, YOU or ME isnt doing that.
i wouldnt trust you making anything premium for my 911 interior, and i dont trust myself with touching it either.
people that DiY stuff on youtube in that vein have a lot of experience
im going to try some of it with a project im working on
dont get me wrong i can model things
and print them, etc
but i wouldnt do a permanent mod to my interior
I don't like doing any permanent mods honestly
I put side skirts on but that hurt a lot to do
can i just point out the miata with underglow
i do like permanent mods when theyre done well
if theyre from a reputable company and theyre good, theyre fine
If I end up not liking it I can take it off or change it
if youre slapping a shitty wing on your car by drilling holes in the boot, i have a problem with that
thats a good idea
that shit comes off real easy
I've already taken it off and put back on to remove rust underneath once wasn't too bad
this is my old S13 btw, in turkey.
Dang that's clean
but the thing is not having experience doesnt scare me at all
nobody had any experience when they started
same with the bumper
ill just practice on my shit and learn along the way
had cracks and rust all over it
I think next time I do anything that requires drilling body panels im going to buy a carbon fiber one to replace it
i would practice with non-permanent mods
i agree with practicing that. and you should
i just wouldnt do something permanent because when you do get more experience youll probably regret it
ive got some bad rust holes in one of my cars that im going to weld patch panels in
even then imo permanent is related to your skill level
if you drill a hole, youre not patching the hole up as OEM
Bondo and filler stuff works for that but it won't really be the same as OEM
Bondo really isn't the best solution but if you do end up using it make sure you get rid of all of the rust beforehand
1982 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue
fixed
looks a bit dodgy
stronger than factory
welded from both sides?
I mean still better than having a hole
doesent need welded from both sides, welder is adjusted for more than adequate penetration providing a join stronger than the 2 pieces themselves
oke
if it was ground smooth then it would be weaker
also I still don't know how to pass wires trough the fireshield on my 307 sw
someone showed me where I could do it, but it's impossible to get there
So it's already hard losing your car forever unexpectedly, how do you cope with knowing it's going to happen in a month
Flooding be like
gotta take that picture
QLD ?
Yeah mate
Bikes go vroom
Shoot.
God the feeling of driving your car after it’s been outta commission for a few months is soooooo nice
AWD stopped working and I had to get new aggressive tread tires just so I can get it up my hill to my house cause my town doesn’t do any snow clearing. Still some other work to do but least I can drive it now
Sucks I had to buy new tires just for that though
But then again, we will probably still have snow till like. May
I had my wheels aligned and it felt like driving a brand new car
Damn where do u live
Canada lmao
I was guessing so.
I visited Canada a few years back in June. And they still had piles of snow laying around from doing pile-ups over winter.
Yep, that’s how it goes usually
Plus this winter was super rank. Lots of snow, and lots of -40 days
That's -40 in both Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Clown squad not using both lanes at roadworks
Some guy blocking the lane wasnt happy when i went past at a bus stop
British people and their queues man
Roadworks on the motorway here caused 4 accidents in the last week alone here
And with "caused" I mean people aren't paying attention and crash in to each other
The roundabouts are jammed up as there is a mile being unused
Just because its closed a mile up no one uses it
I hate people
Ah lol classic
With the "keep using lane until merge point", and then people blocking the other lane already 2 miles back
Yeah we sometimes have signs up describing that still nope must queue now!
Yeah exactly
Then you have the people who honk or even block you
I was close to reversing back and starting shit with him
Cant argue with stupid though heh
Its good the US has exemptions for older cars, you can do whatever you want to them
And tbh, it should be that way.
No one wants to replace a 30 year old engine with the exact same engine from a junkyard car because the thing isnt being manufactured anymore
Well I don't think the smog exception is a how old rule but instead a what year rule
As in it doesn't change every year what cars are exempt
my car has more hp per litre than a jeep grand wagoneer
@remote ridge sadly not, but if youre creative enough you can actually just make a new car be registered as an old car
(similar methods to what roadkill used for the nascarlo)
Haha car go vroom vroom skrrrrrrrt beep beep brrrrrrrrr
A9 is never fun
the piece between Nuremberg and Berlin
I mean you dodge the worst part of it but it still is like never fun
I am going to Germany in a hour
1h 25 min ride
My car broke down
How bad is it?
Generally if it's pinned like that. Then you either lost a hose. Or it's been low for a while.
Or idk
Hole in radiator
rip
Do you think it could cause any major damage?
It was only for a moment and I did pull off
also I added some water to cool off the engine
good luck
any wheelcaps that look like alloys but do not block those holes in a steel rim , my wheels are black so its not too bad
Spare some for me
I have a problem with my windshield washer pump
It only work whenever it’s hotter than like 2-3 Celsius
Did you put winter windshield washer fluid and flush from any summer or water?
update on this, it seems no damage has been done to the engine
sounds like it's freezing. You probably have water or washer fluid not suited for winter that freezes easily
@fathom socket what was it?
radiator cracked
Oof
I still don't know what happened there
That doesnt sound healthy
it seems something hit the radiator from bahind
later when I came back home it just totally broke
like that hole became bigger
Huh
it barfed all water trough the hole in radiator
Yea im not surprised XD
Cars are allergic to tap water, use only the most expensive bottled water
Knowing humanity some people have used sparkling water
just get rinsed out on OEM coolant, usually comes ready mixed at an affordable £12/l
rest of them are stuck somewhere because there isnt enough room to turn
How many fiat pandas does he have in his tires
Taking up 2 parking spots because of how big they are compared to normal cars in that country
To be honest I was surprised it didn't look that gigantic
yeah there is also a RAM 2500 in London
Checking if mates 31's would fit the old girl. They fit no worries, unless you started to really flex it. So 28's is what I'm thinking to do
how do you drive that.
Or even park
driving lorry was pretty scary
The hatch'
Twin turbo Z32 🙂
n a couple buddies skylines (we're a close group of friends that out of shear luck all stumbled across 90's Nissans)
Theres a video somewhere of a F350 getting stuck in a UK maccas
how annoying would it be to drive a sequential daily ?
Had to deal with one for a about a week and a half and honestly depending on how much you like cars it wasn't terrible I deal with a lot of school traffic too so lots of stop and go stuff but its highly dependent on the car how comfortable it is period how much youre willing to put up with it etc etc etc theres not a really a straight answer to it in my opinion
Theres people that will be disturbed by a rattly seat and people that are unphased by a seized rear axle.
i see im planning to get a supra in the future :)
Nice! I rode in one (mk4) and it wasn't what I thought it would be like its very much a straight line car but prefer the GTR feel - either way I cant afford a mk4 with the prices in my area anywho so ill stick to the GTR and Z32
- To be fair the supra was very not stock
1000 hp is too much for most cars
i have sat in a skyline that had 900 hp crazy car but its not something amazing
100% agree i mean that supra was only like 700-800 but it was still insane my Z with around 550 wheel spins all of 1st and 2nd in the street with decent tires so yeah
i used to only like Audis i know not JDM but rwd is cool
also drifting a AWD Is impossible unless it has a lot of power
I don't mind anything lol think most companies / regions make or have the ability to make awesome cars the shop next to where i take my Z has imported rs8 wagons and some other rs audis and theyre awesome for sure
I mean the Z is just rwd and the GTR can spin but you can just pull a fuse to make it RWD for the r32
but isnt it AWD all the time
i feel like im missing something
so if Audi has Haldex and you remove a fuse you make it rear bias ?
The GTR specifically is RWD most of the time - the computer has sensors around the car and starts giving power to the front of the car when it decides it needs it you can pull the fuse for the r32 to trick it to staying in rwd mode
I did it again I've reached 500.012! How is this possible for this v6 engine
It's not even a Toyota Hilux
1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V
@fathom socket castiel cosplay?
Dang, that Lincoln is in nice shape!
Honestly as European where fuel prices are high compared to us this car scares me.
Also so glad my car is OK after doing this
Knock on wood
When you say something like "my cars never broken down" it is wise to touch wood after :^)
oh
I've seen up to 2.349/liter for pReMiUm, which surpasses the 10USD/gal mark
Psst, can anyone help me with a motorcycle issue >w>
Probably best to just ask, if anyone can help they will
What is it
You mean the fact that you are missing two wheels?
rivian price hikes
Man
The 9 autobahn towards Berlin is jammed
Like drive for 30 minutes at 130 kmh the opposite way
Also had to play doge game because someone's truck tyres exploded
I hate that front bumper
ok
looks better than the new BMWs with those massive and ugly grilles.
Well, yes
has this been in a accident ?
Its a swapped out front bumper.
i see
So Ive managed to travel 1500 km in one go
Not too keen on that front bumper, ngl
oh well
Get smthing to temporarily shield it from weather
If i am correct ur paint is chipping off right?
Saab SK60 what a great saab
I'm too dang used to 100 km/L.
Or wait. It's l/100 km. That's it.
That's why I got a bit confused when I did the numbers for the truck I'm in.
It says 46 L/100km...
Which is 2.2 km/L...
So
My car drank trough all ail
I think I did top it off at max, but now it's at min
Unless I was getting false reading
Clear coat
It's a Dodge so the entire truck is doing it
It really isn't possible to save it or fix it at this point
Just slow it down or get an entire repaint
Which is sad
It's a very clean truck otherwise
No rust or anything
What have Sweden high fuel prices
SEK 24 for a liter of Diesel
That is equal to €2,22
And my dad Transporter is using around 6liter a 100 km
And driving 1300km tomorrow will cost a lot
I've managed to get enough fuel from Poland to go trough Germany
Ye it’s the only way to get fuel relatively cheap at the Moment
At the border with Switzerland it was 1.65 CHF for liter and after that it was around 1.85 to 2.03 CHF
I bet i wont be happy to fill my tank with 93 octane x.x

Where?
Well am going to return to the Netherlands from Sweden tomorrow, with a diesel fuel price of 24 Swedish crowns a liter (€2,20) and driving 1300km will be expensive as hell
180€ in fuel costs
wish it was that cheap here
It's super expensive compared to our normal prices here

my car on highway uses 23miles per gal
it's not very good
and it got worse in switzerland
5USD for pReMiUm, that'd be so cheap I wouldn't even bother turning of the car
(as a figure of speech)

3.30 for E0 for now.
I didnt know they did the Peugeot 309 in Maroon like my 305. Was very suprised.
I had to drive it to Dallas the day after I picked it up from the dealership, but I'm happy with my new daily
congrats
That's cheap.
$9.44 for diesel here.
Diesel 8+USD, 9.2USD at cheap stations, premium ~10USD
man. even fuel prices in poland are skyrocketing
an on german border there's a limit how much you can take
Look at Sweden then, there it is SEK24 for a liter of diesel = +- €2,20
I mean yeah, 1.33 eur sounds cheap compared to the rest of europe
but most people drive fuel inefficient shitboxes and have income less than 500 euros per month
I think there is no point converting my car to LPG
Luckily the sandwiches are cheap
Is my Ute clapped?
Austria is like 0.30€ cheaper
Than Germany
At least the part of Germany i live in
Which is the worst in fuel prices
That's indeed quite cheap
Sad time for me. Just when fuel prices sky rocket, my injection pump lets go.
What’s it in
1kd lux I’m guessing?
Haha
Good times lol I’m in the process of I don’t know what I want to get for the 75 next😂
I’ve 2k to blow and I’m only going to get more and more each week lol
75s are sweet as
Like 300 to 600 a week
Old mate has a 80 series. Shits all over IFS
Love me a 80
My work mostly focuses on cruisers but work on anything
Nope
Should get some if you’re into hard tracks
I’m thinking of bulk piling parts in my room😂
Haha
So many things I want but can’t decide where to start as I can just do my part installs at work on days on😂
I was gonna tune the BT for some power, but if the injection pump went. Quoted 2.1k to repair it. Just brought new injectors for it 10,000km ago
Yeah, just make it yours man
Had it a year next month I’ve done wheels and tires lightbar and that’s about it😂
And plenty of sends
Nice. Can’t kill em
I need to go to spain to buy some engines
Ripe XUD market over there, get some bosch injection pumps aswell
I fucked up.
No way, is that your new Chery?
Ooof.
Yes.
Hit a pretty high curb corner while trying to parallel park
😢
and this is why i need a 360° camera
the trim i have doesn't come with one
imma rely on the aftermarket
man I've only had it for 3 weeks
hopefully that won't cost a lot
Probably not cheap
that's why I'm considering another pair of blindspot mirrors
I wish my car had an auto dipping right mirror, so I'd tilt down when you put your car in reverse
I have just killed off a large ecosystem
known as my cooling system
removed the expansion tank and cleaned it with bleach to get most of the growth out

lovely stuff

Righto question boys & girls. Bent wire like this in a maf create incorrect readings? Just cleaning the maf and map and found it like that
Any check engine lights or noticeable decrease in fuel economy?
Well my fuel pump is leaking so fuel economy is bad, still got power but some hesitation in the rpm band
Took the weekend toy to work today
Someone has the biggest bahonkas to use this a dipolmatic car.
🤢🤢
To be fair, it's a good break where all dipolmatic cars here are black Beamers and Benzes/Maybachs. This is the first time I saw someone is using a performance car as a dipolmat car.
when I lived in the US my dad owned a 2004 Honda Accord and used it as his diplomatic car
I cant stand exotics tbh
Pure VW AG quality
Mine is broken
25 years ago yes
Well, that sounds more reasonable.
For older cars yes, nowadays not so much..
2001 2,5L TDI 5cil
Car.manufacturers with great mileage lifespan:
1: Volvo
2: Honda
3: VW
Car manufacturers with great mileage lifespan:

Ftfy
meanwhile the passat b6 2.0 tdi that my uncle has had catastrophic failure at 200k
Also quite certain Toyota's generally achieve higher miles than a VW so that list is probably made up 😛
200k? Damn it performed well then

and he's a type of a person that takes care well of his cars
my Peugeot 307 overheated AF and it made 1500 km journey
Mine is currently on the driveway with exactly 149.000km
all trough it consumes oil
Quality engineering 😎
it drank from I think full to min on the journey
but not sure if it's full or it's the dip stick getting oily
I want this truck. Damn it.
I only drove the terrible DAF
I only drove MAN and DAF
and all of them were be like
in short all electronics fucked up in rain
Trying to remember all of the different trucks that I have driven.
looks like the main control unit is just dead?
Oh, let me upload the fault that I had with this truck.
It was blowing out the excess air like something crazy.
Truck wasn't able to tell the air dryer to take a break.
Or rather. To tell the compressor to take a break.
Na VW became worse and worse and the newest ones even suck at quality while they seemingly try to become a more premium brand
Painted my discs so they dont rust
What about those lug bolts?
they add character
Wow, is that the original motor?

First audi start in at least 13-14 years
Also the firetruck came with a chevy apparently
Don't know how I didn't find those under the seat before
I've owned it since 2016
Yes
Spotted 10.2 USD/gal yesterday on the highway
Impressive - never thought VWs would be THIS good. I always liked them but folks on the internet kept praising Japanese cars for their reliability -- in the end, I would say it comes down to end-user maintenance, I'm starting to see that VWs are built strong.
Oh, right. That reminds me that the truck I'm currently driving just passed 400,000 km's.
25 years ago maybe, and the diesels. But the 2.5 TDI was kind of bulletproof, nowadays the vans break down within 100k km
Vehicles in general are able to travel further than they could in years prior.
Which lorry brand?
modern diesels aren't even reliable anymore
Common rail is shit
Till the tire goes pop, you need to get them off, and they become rounded
Its just aurface rust and my bolts are torqued to spec not a billion newton meters
And the tyre did go pop
Remember to retorque after driving an hour or so.
