The 26k one
I would drive that its a good package
Like the engine is shit
But you get alot of options
Pretty good value
But still base price 31k for golf with nothing thata rough
5k more gives you a g30 530i maybe
Base models looks quite shite tho (this is the Variant but front is the same)
Ah don´t think the Launch model was the 26k one tbh
A Opel
Thats the "golf" edition
What i van find on vw site is that that was the launch pack
With like digital dash etc etc
I do so much train electronics but rarely get to know what they go to :^(
I think they all have the digital dash now
A Honda
Ah thats sick
I actually hate SNG
That base wagon I just send has this interior
bah silly climate controls
I enjoy driving with my windows open at 1C
Its not a big deal but i love start with the v6 sound and the autobots screen comming out
vag products have just never clicked with me, probably just too common perhaps
I mean i get it
Im also biased because the a6 c7 is one of my dream cars
But i think it stands out
3.0 aswell
The saab is a little slow for me also the clutch is properly roasted amazing that you can get a complete turbo engine with cluster ecu and everything for £125
stuffs very cheap for saabs
ive gotten so used to the screwed alignment im going to be driving off the road once its corrected
It depends if I put a 3" exhaust on it
You can get some insane numbers
yeah im not going for crazy as glass gearbox and all
but going to be driving around and collecting some of the £30 gearboxes on the market
once you get to 300hp in these the gearboxes can become a wear item
My friend has a saab not an old one but alao not new haha, it had 2.0 turbo 320 hp
Tuned int oblivion
They can generally survive as long as you dont wheelhop
the shock from the tyres getting grip completely destroys these
and slipping the clutch alot more than normal helps
All i remember is that it died fast :p
the beauty of trionic 7 is the power delivery can be easily tuned even by a clown
Yeah but he drove it to hard
Ill probably settle for 180-225, just wanted a little more go for getting past crossovers
Nice
I think 150 180 hp os the sweetspot
You outclass like 85% on the road
At least here in NL
Totalling not doing it just to add in pointless blow off valve
stick my 128hp NA b204 in my friends chevette
in a car that small it would be insane but also probably too heavy an engine
one in that video almost sounds fake in a way
Wdym?
to my ears its like theres a speaker in there playing the sound
like a recording being recorded in a way
Oh
Noo
It was just a aitfilter change on a turbo engime
That does nothing but give this sound
my coolant hoses were ruined by various oil leaks and you cant get all of the NA ones but theres tonnes of aftermarket kits for the turbo models
bit better parts wise
I need to get the poojo an MOT or get another car to tide me over while swappage happens. I really should finish the peugeot first.
I could insure myself on the mazda 2 but thats a grim car I never want to go back to
such an undesirable car, unless swappage ofcourse.
few people have put saab engines into them here
Yeah he has regrets
even if it is reliable mpg is like no
Dorito go brrr is fun tho

Two Things I hate the cold
Thata wht i always preheat my car 🤣
and I at the same time complain that i cant set my AC down to 8 degrees celsius.
either 16 or take outside temps in (LO).
why are the devs at car manfucaturers so cruel?
what outside temps do u have?
Because AC's working temperature range usually isn't that low
but the AC doesnt need to cool down to that temp.
just heat the intake air less.
imo, every temp above 16 celsius without wearing just underwar is unbearable 🤣
Get parking heating like some trucks have
funfact: preheating gasoline vehicles in germany is forbidden.
because youre not allowed to keep an fuel burning vehicle running while parking.
(unless the car is preheat by battery only)
isn't that in most of europe?
idk if it was a german or eu law.
we have similar law in Poland
webasto heater is super useful
it uses fuel to produce heat, but it's separate thing from the engine
i run a purely electric car.
at least i have preheating functionality and could use it.
but... i never do.
because temps barely reach double digit negatives
I guess that's a plus of them
my biggest problem is still charging them
could let it plugged in and use preheating by grid power on some occasions
funny thing. they built a charging station under my home and in the entire year wasn't even used once
it's just so expensive to use
yeah... when u dont have a carpot or garage to securely have an own outlet to use, its quite a hassle to rely on public charging possibilities.
it's a hassle for a lot of people.
It's just we aren't ready for people to switch for electric cars
that was one of the major reasons i got myself a BEV.
because i do not have to drive to the gasstation/publicchargers
I need to have petrol car for the long trips I need to do.
also I would probably get electric motorcycle for driving around the city
if everyone who drives a car would have a secure spot (e.g. garage, carpot) with a Default poweroutlet (3.5kW), that wouldnt be an issue at all.
but let's face the reality.
it's impossible in a lot of parts
politics and economy does not do what would be needed.
they state parols of whats good and bad and advertise who has the biggest battery and the most kW on the charge station.
but neither of them solves the issues when it comes to that many ppl would drive BEVs
true
but also
we still burn coal for electricity here
like... i have a BEV which charges with 43 kW at peak.
what i hate when i need to use public charging are the up to 300kW charging stations.
especially when another car is plugged in that already, charging with also no more than 60kW...
a 5th of the capacity available, but no other one could use.
I feel like a 300kW charge station spread across 6x50kW would make much more ppl happy than 1x300kW.
its the same peak load, but 5 more ppl can charge at the same time on the same station.
I dont care about Co2.
they can burn all the coal they want.
An electric car just is better.
i dont need several gears, i can refuel at home and literally can produce my own "fuel" for it.
and apart of the rubber tires, there is no smell and noise from the car.
Its pretty personal if you thik EV's are better
Because not all of them are that good
I agree, especially for chargers outside of a business. When shopping at a store or eating at a restaurant and you will only be there for like an hour max, it makes sense to have more low power chargers.
300KW stations make sense for highway rest stops or dedicated EV chargers though
How much?
It’s very cheap though
Hahahaha
Idk I don’t drive an EV
What i alwaya wonderd MK
They want everyone to get EV's yeah
But then no9ne takes the gas, wich is taxed ob like crazy
Where is the money then comm8ng from? 👀
45% of the gas price here is tax
They'll find a way
Just road tax it based on weight, with those enormous batteries it'll cost crazy much
I mean charging evs just g9nna cost you 2 euros then per kw
LOL
Allready happening in 2023
2025*
Then it's way more expensive than just 1L of gas xD
Yeah but idk if they're using the same rate as gas, and/or including the battery or not as for gas/diesel cars, fuel is technically not included in the weight
Its smart, you pay no road tax now and then in 2025 bam 500 per 3 months
Also rekening rijden
It's crazy it's not taxed now tbh...
A bit yeah
The xc90 is a hybride so now its cheap ish, 2025 that ting for sale 4 sure
- no bpm
- no mrb
- low bijtelling
- subsidising
And then the EV warriors go like tCo Of Ev Is LeSs ThAn ThE aVeRaGe IcE
Like no 💩 if you pax no taxes and even receive money to drive it

Yeah
Until 2025 when they all go to reddit
Omg why do i habe to pay roadtax for my 2000 kg car reeeeeee
Nah they'll just set The Hague on fire
It's almost like their heavy cars also wear out the road 🙃
Crazy init
Not really a bad thing
The argument for taxing EVs less isn't based on the amount of maintenance they cause, it's an incentive to get people to make the switch
The fact that there's a flat rate of tax on cars over 40k here is insanity
should be scaled by the car price, obviously
Joe Bloggs buying a £53k Tesla is not the same as Richy McRichbags buying a £150k Chelsea tractor
Up til now tax on fuel has been an interesting one
because richer people drive less efficient cars
therefore pay more in tax
BUT poorer people spend more of their income
so it disproportionately affects the poor
so it's a sort of virtue-signalling way to 'punish' people driving gas-guzzlers
which actually disproportionately affects the poor
Having road tax based on vehicle weight is actually a reasonably interesting proposition
Oh god
So many of us in the states drive bigass trucks and suvs now
I never figured that out
Emissions: is the spawn of Satan apparently and is going to liquify the plant
I mean, they are going to be taxed in 2025 so it doesnt matter, road tax is there to fix the road the same road said ev drives on
Everyone: drives bigass vehicles
Em here most folks drive small cars with small engines like toy cars haha
Yeah, cos of dumb legislation (CAFE)
Come to America and most moms think they need suburbans with the 6.2 to haul two kids and their backpacks to school
It’s absurd
@jovial mauve where?
Yah come over to the states and cars have their own zip codes practically
Netherlands
Lul
It's bonkers
was out in Georgia
so many trucks that are like the size of commercial flat bed lorries out here
and people are just driving them to the shop
wat
It’s especially bad in the south
Even our small cars here are huge by euro standards
Yeah, sub-compact hatchbacks are the smallest size in the US, they don't have many of them
AND
we have a whole class smaller than that
All I'll say is if you can give me some ev kits that aren't the price of a new car that can match or exceed my ice powerplants
Not really
EV conversion kit?
Well they would be considered relatively large elsewhere, I’m just using hyperbole
Yeah they are hideously expensive for pathetic performance
Yeah, it's not really a thing yet
What's an LS?
What color is your firebird
'LM7 block out of an avalanche'
Hey guys
what
I mean if cars are like your hobby, not everything hast to be fuel effiecient or green etc, as long as your having fun with it
Very true
Nice
nice
it should be a little green tho
I want a Chevelle SS with the LS6
so you're sticking a 5.3L V8 in it
Such a ridiculous car I love it
has anyone heard of the ev bubble?
what's that?
i think i do
Yeah I'll build it up
Was a bubble in the ev market
If i can find an ev kit that isn't 20k like the one going in that hummer
Every time a company says they are doing something with ev there stock price increases
I'll consider it
so there lots of companies doing it rn
The fact is even factory evs still kinda suck
i cried when i heard about the hellcats
Tell that to my dad, he bought CT5 blackwing for his “daily driver” 😂
put your dad on then
It depends what you mean by 'suck'
my fav hellcat is a 2014 charger
Mainly the batteries suck
if you mean 'generally have some compromises that gas vehicles don't have' then yeah
Spending forever to charge
I hate teslas
Losing capacity
rest evs are fine'
Having to outright replace them at a point of what 5 - 7 years
My gas tank doesn't have those issues
i sold my car last year
and bought a new one in jan
Afbeelding van
I mean that just isn't true. The batteries on old Nissan Leafs are outliving the cars they're in. Original 2012 Teslas are still on the road
and the new batteries are better managed and more likely to last longer than those ones
battery replacements aren't really happening - in new Teslas they won't even be possible soon. You do get some degredation, but the idea that all EVs need to have their batteries replaced after 5-7 years is just horseplop
You get efficiency drop offs after a few years with ICE vehicles too - the issue is when it takes you under a certain amount of range to where the car becomes unusable
@fathom socket it was 14 degrees way to early for that
Well I live in the mountains
I travel this far every day
what
Of thats true then why do I meet or exceed EPA fuel economy ratings in 30 year old cars
Haven't filled it up yet since I bought it with a full tank, but my new to me 91 Camry seems to be getting at least EPA rated fuel economy so far
My 94 caddy has pretty consistently got the same exact mileage for the last 30k miles
And it's almost at 200k
But its a daily
I check every tank i fill what mpg it got
Because it's not really supposed to change unless you drive more aggressively
And I'm the only one that drives it So i know how hard it's driven
It's stayed the same the whole time lol
Assuming that evs were made in the 90s
Yeah
Give me a 94 ev and I'll see if it still manages 300 miles or more a on the original battery and drivetrain
What's really hilarious is my 22 car with 4700 miles dropped 15mpg purely from it being cold outside
while my 25+ year old shitboxes get consistent mpg regardless of ambient temperature
Hell even the carbureted one i have probably gets the same
The fuel injected ones definitely do
Yeah my RX-7 mpg is somewhat inconsistent since I'm always fucking with it
the carburetor is annoying, and I drive it pretty hard
but I have vastly exceeded the EPA rating for highway fuel economy in it before
best part about that was I did it in the winter
Oh the RX-7 is rarely below 2k rpm
none of my cars are fast
But my Honda is faster than a Turbo 2 FC RX-7
a stock one anyway. A well modded Turbo 2 is pretty quick
Not really? The Accord consistently got mid 30s on the highway for well over a decade
And there are plenty of early leafs whise battery has degraded to the point the car is useless
Huh, well my shit box certainly used to get better gas mileage, but perhaps that’s not as true as I thought
With maintenance and proper care ICE will get consistent fuel economy to end of life
That is true, but only really for the super early ones. There are articles on recycling and repurposing EV batteries because they’re now outlasting the cars they’re in
Severe battery degradation is a well documented issue in the Leaf
Well into the lifecycle
i think solid state batteries will fix many EV problems
62 miles per hour average. Not bad
Tesla is again found guilty of throttling charging speed, asked to pay $14,000 to owners in retrial
Tesla was again found guilty of throttling its Superchargering speed on early Model S vehicles. In Norway, the company is asked to pay ~$14,000 to affected owners in a retrial of the process, which Tesla is going to appeal. The Problem Back in 2019, Electrek reported on several reports from Tesla owners about seeing significant drops in […]
Yep. Don't take care of your car and it will get less efficient over time
Depending on how things have degraded in the absence of proper care, you could bring that efficiency back by fixing up the car
or at least improve it
@jovial mauve @stoic ledge: https://www.rtlnieuws.nl/economie/life/artikel/5270956/benzineprijs-diesel-euro95-olieprijs-unitedconsumers
Prices go down by just a little bit
Yeah I saw it also
Also already noticed it
LPG went down a whopping 2.5c/l

Oof my dad just refueled the Meriva, 1.537/l (Belgium)
It's going down
Last time was 1.65/l
I remember when I bought the saab fuel was like £1.28 then when I got it an MOT 1.36 and now 1.48 pls bro
no more price jumps
unless down ofcourse
Lpg here is so expensive, it's almost as economical to drive on gasoline
LPG is around 65-70cents here
Spotted this SUV that can get on train track rails
Pretty cool
Looks pretty sketchy
Nah. It's fine. Trucks, excavators and other vehicles has it also
I have a potentially controversial opinion
the Porsche 924 looks better than the 944
what's the big difference?
oh
I hate when people use high beams at night and not use low beams if behind me or coming next to me on the other lane.
I nearly crashed once because I couldn't see I had to guess my way out from my death wish
Many newer cars adjust your brights automatically
So that won't be a problem given a few years
I hope so

the matrix system ones end up strobe lighting me in a way
Problem is automatic highbeams aren't usually set to auto
That's false. They come set with that by default.
I still dont think they are quite as good as instinct or using your eyes persay
I seem to be the only person that can pre-empt a car coming
nearly every time on this road if im meeting oncoming cars near a bend
Either people are great at turning them off, don't do it ever, or have poorly aimed headlights.
The last one is more common than I'd care to admit.
oh they do turn them off usually just about 20 seconds too late
my condolences
the weathers generally always foggyish so you can see cars coming a mile off
Low emission zones in Scotland cities from 2022 👀
not even a guaranteed exemption for classic cars yet whether it be 30 year+ or 40, England has an exemption for 40 year+
I like
dont care aslong as theres a classic exemption of some sort
Low emission zones are great for keeping cities cleaner
This is perhaps a controversial opinion but I like how some cities have banned cars in the center so it’s more walkable
They did that in a few areas in Detroit and it’s very nice there now
classic cars make up a unfathomably small amount of traffic especially when you only consider them as cars over 40 years old
Yeah
even a fair few 2014 economy cars will be banned
I wouldn’t be too concerned
What I dont like is they are offering cash incentives to crush cars
There are always multiple routes around anyway
Yeah I don’t like that
Same thing with cash for clunkers
It’s a waste
I do actually drive in Edinburgh city centre
Im involved with a charity and the saab is used for some deliveries
Oh yeah that would be annoying if they restricted your car from entering
But you might be able to get an exception
Cus of the charity
yeah that was on the list of possible exemptions
I think it should be set in stone by now :^|
Emissions zones are
Like, an Audi Q7 6.0 V12 TDI is allowed, but a VW Lupo 1.2 TDI 3L isn't
This is fine
This isn't

Hell, even some Euro5 PHEV (early V60 D6 for example) aren't allowed in some cities while they can go 100% electric
I'm not allowed on a street in Stockholm.
Truck isn't allowed in any of the central parts of Stockholm.
I dont think youll see them banning overpowered luxury suvs sadly
We need more hybrids and EV's.
EV's is great for countries where they already produce clean energy.
It would be interesting to compare a 1.3L 70's / 80's vauxhall chevette to some luxury suvs.
I know the mpg is better
possibly installing a modern cat?
The Lupo might be putting out more NOx though
Probably relatively more yes, but not sure if the absolute numbers are much different 😛
I need to look at how these standards work
Mercedes claim that the C class Euro6 diesel simply doesn't output a measurable amount of NOx at all - so it's possible it is absolutely less
I don't know one way or the other, but I don't think it's clear cut
Could a higher performance Euro 6 car pollute more than a economy Euro 5 car.
obviously carbon emissions wise it's ludicrous, but for diesel engines it's much more about particulates and NOx anyway - and if there's a standard that it's easy to use as a cutoff, it's simpler legislatively to just get rid of them all
Depends on your definition of 'higher performance' 'pollute' and 'economy'
but in general I think it's unarguable that like a 2010 Euro 6 V12 Audi Q7 is going to pollute more than that 1.2L Lupo
its things like this that make me sorta miffed with them doing it this way
but where the crossover happens (like, what about a 6 cyllinder diesel engine in a 3 series)
well sure, but what's the alternative
We have measurements for relatively new cars right
ban the dumb polluting luxury suvs too
The confirmed minimum criteria for vehicles to access a Low Emission Zone is:
Euro 4 for petrol cars and vans (generally vehicles registered from 2006)
Euro 6 for diesel cars and vans (generally vehicles registered from September 2015)
Euro VI for buses, coaches and HGVs (generally vehicles registered from January 2013*)
imagine owning a 2015 diesel van, yikers
just, nope not anymore!
Thought there might have been measurements for those aswell
hopefully they atleast implement the 40 year old exemption, 30 year would be great.
If I recall the difference between the number of 30+ vs 40+ is pretty small, I rarely see cars older than 16 years these days. 99% of days the oldest thing I see is my 1995 car.
its crazy to think theres only 8 years between the saab and the peugeot but I suppose the saab is beginning of production vs peugeot end of production
VAG money is tasty and a Q7 makes more money than the 15-20 year old lupo that doesn't make them money
Actually the VW Lupo 3L TDI was so efficient and environmentally friendly that the Netherlands halved the road tax until 2014.
No road tax*
No. 3cil in line
Yeah it was random
Family 7 seater SUV
with a V12
...diesel
Just drove this box of shit
Did you find any baguettes?
A wild legendary pokémon car
Known as the Suzuki
Niceee
That thing would flip around a gentle bend
Like Hammond attempting a flick in a supercarry
Lol, Alain Prost drove it around a race track
Let me see if I can find the video
I want t9 get the v8 biturbo
i want there to be a company that specializes in converting old cars to electric
like
even better than there is now and not just for tiny little european cars
probably diy kits
i can see if the company itself does the work of converting the government could whine about including more modern features that have no place in an old classic
I mean a lot of manufacturers are starting to offer electric crate swaps
EV West does a lot of conversions too
they're known for ai cooled VWs mainly but that isn't all they do
The 2018 Citroën C3 wasn’t bad. It had Apple CarPlay, cruise control, lane assistant and speed limiter.
Over speed bumps is quite soft
There's actually a startup about 20 minutes from me who's working on doing electric conversions, in the works right now they have 2 YJ Jeeps and a GMC W6500
I'm doing an extra-curricular as sort of part of my program and we're working with them to electric swap a Baja SAE chassis from a couple years ago
ah
i like that
probably incredibly expensive but i dig it
ive seen them before i think
yeah
need to expand a bit
this is about the company here
https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2021/10/28/2322279/0/en/Ettractive-Inc-Announces-New-Truck-Program-for-New-EV-Tech-Developers.html
they exist, but its not really cheap enough to justify for most cars
EV conversions are good stuff
EV convert my focus
Powers still out in places here from that wittle storm
I'll LS swap it for you
I have an LS2 that I have to freshen up. Gonna toss Summit Racing forged rods and pistons in with a BTR Stage 3 truck cam.
@vocal mural wtf 1.91 euro per liter ???????? here ( east side of canada ) its 1.47$CAD per lite which is around 1.01 euro per liter
In Netherlands I saw petrol for over 2 euros per Luter
And in Poland we have for 1.37 EUR per liter
And people call it expensive
Yeah has been over 2.00 for regular and 2.15-2.20 for premium
I can't imagine coming to Netherlands with my new car
And I could fuel my old focus for less than 1 euros per liter in most countries
I wish lpg wasnt a joke here
@stoic ledge Not only VAG did use software to give false results, Dacia and Renault did also.
Source: https://www.anwb.nl/auto/nieuws/2021/november/massaclaim-tegen-renault-en-dacia
Old news
But yeah, I knew
Renault this claims they didn't tho 😛
Just refueled for 0.615/liter, way better than 2/liter
So I finally found the problem after taking my BT-50 to 3 different diesel mechanics for injector knock and cold knock. Turns out the vacuum solenoid valve for the swirl valves was faulty. $90 part making a $2500 mess
Oof classic
Lpg is cheap here but with how unadopted it is I could have a conversion done and those couple lpg stations disappear
Alot of money for a pos car
LPG is still a lot cheaper
Oh yeah but theres like 2 stations
That would be remotely useful to me
A fair few have dropped like flys
My new insurance company charges i think 300 more a year on the saab id it had lpg
Bit more of a risk with LPG. Accident wise
LPG is only 20% cheaper than gas here because Erdogan
You guys actual car enthisuasts or just wanna drive cheap from a to b ?
Enthusiastic over to drive so cheaply and so many huuuurse Puurse as possible from A to B 😉
Is it because of like gas prices and shit?
This channel is mostly about like driving cheap and not expensive, where are all the dudes with the Porsche's and shit
Both
You can be an enthusiast with a nice cheaper car.
Frankly I wouldn't call expensive car owners enthusiasts, but rather coloectors or investors.
Seems they're more interested in the value of their car rather than the car itself
I like cars to be flexible
Yes ofc i did not mean it that way
but most in here is all about emission gas prices EV's
i have yet to see someone post like their 350z twin turb ;P
so my car showed over 3/4 of a tank on the gauge so I was like ill just brim it off for tomorrow, reaches 20 litres wot, reaches 30 lites woooot.
£48 for less than 1/4 of a tank makes sense
i classify an enthusiast as someone that will do repairs and custom work and stuff on their own
or just enjoy driving things for the fun of it
because otherwise its merely getting from point a to b
but thats me
id say theres plenty of enthusiasts here
Most of my driving is for fun, I usually car share to work. Today I drove back myself and got into a honking match with a van then almost became an audi / bmw driver on the motorway.
Why did I get pinged for that
I'm a car enthousiast but can't afford the fast car atm
Or well I can but that's just crazy as a student
- I can't have 2 cars
Doesnt have to be fast
Its not just about having a car, like yes i get it emissioms etc
But a golf gti is pretty cheap
Ots quick
Fun
Polo gti
I expect more talk about actual cars then gas prices etc haha
Polo GTI, no thanks the 1.4 TSI is horrendous in those
On what so you base that?
1.8TSI is better but still rather expensive (and also not great)
Just look online, especially the 1.4TSI GTI is the one with massive problems
Lucky maybe
There's a reason they switched to the 1.8 TSI after the facelift
Everything has issues, just buy what you want where is the fun
Of you have money you can repair
Take it to a dealer do a checkup before biying
Get a saab £100 engine replacement
Or you can do that yeah
It's not worth spending 5k on a 1.4 TSI Polo to keep it running
Sometimes cars and or engines are just bad
So is the 1.4TSI in the Polo GTI
But so is also the 1.6T in the Corsa VXR/OPC
man if you google everycar has issues and things
i have had less problems with my polo gti then with my 2017 a class
you have melons and good ones, thats why checkups exist
Car can be perfectly fine at the time of a check-up
The 1.4 TSI will break
It's a fact
There are a few things which are constant in this universe
everything will break
A Polo 1.4 TSI GTI breaking down prematurely is one of those
Yeah but not an engine rebuild at 60k miles
allright i can see that this is hopeless im going to have dinner instead 😛
Ok so in that case: buy an early 1.6 THP
The internet is full of them having a problem
But a check-up can prevent all that
😉
Listen MK
I just gave it as an example
You can hate all you want google this google that

Then get the facelift
K bruh
The example doesnt matter
Ford or polo or corsa
You dont have to sped 20k to get a quick car
Like a ST its quick
Not 20k
20k is alot of money
Well slow cars are probably cheaper
I corrected it immediately afterwards
Lower tax, insurance, fuel
Bruh people already thought I was crazy buying zhe Corsa 5 years ago
Main reason I bought it was the LPG system, cutting the fuel cost down by usually 60-75%
Is it LPG?
Tesla updates Cybertruck with 4 motors, 4-wheel steering, and 'crab mode'
Elon Musk confirmed that Tesla is updating the Cybertruck with a four-motor configuration that is going to enable independent power at each wheel and four-wheel steering with “crab” mode, like the Hummer EV. As we previously reported, Tesla removed Cybertruck specs and prices from its website in October. After being unchanged for two years since...
Dafuq like factory fitted?
Elon copying the competition now
As a student, who needs the car everyday, I made a sensible choice. I could've just as well bought a 10 year old GTi or something and spend 4k per year more on fuel, insurance and maintenance, but that's not a financial smart decision at my age
Weird how 4 wheel steer and crab mode was brought up only after GM did it
Yes, factory LPG
Sick
bUt It AlWaYs HaD iT. tRuSt Me. PlS gUyS lIkE mE
Does it have back seats?
Yes
copium
I get this, but for me the need dor speed and quickness outweighted this for me
It's exactly the same as a normal Corsa instead of the spare tire, that's gone, that's where the LPG tank is located
Imagine buying a GM shitbox
I thought LPG was meant to have like loading bay
Brought to you by Toyota Shitbox Gang™️
Well I don't like spending 200/month on insurance alone while I can drive the entire car was 200/month
Choices choices
I'm at 260 miles and 1/4 tank left. 16 gallon tank
It was rough but i have had fun in my 156k polo gti, felt like race sriver
The insurance is what fucks you here
There will be plenty of fun cars available when I have a full time job + build up some no-claim
Corolla time
Only the GR Four or whatever it's called
lol
Bmw 130i
Except that will be like 60k and for that price I'll buy a 3er
Can't fit in a 1er, too narrow
Sad
Because I like them
My shoulder is literally against the b-pillar and my arms against the door panel
Very uncomfortable
First time I sat in it, I was like wtf
Yeah no not the current model
My friend has a 2012? 328i
The proper rwd one
245hp 2.0
Like good package
M shizzle
The 328i ans 528i are pretty good value
I looked at a 528i before opting for the audi
100k km and was so clean
3er is fine yes, too bad many now getting older had some "petje" previous owner, especially if you go for an M-Sport, and they have cheap AliExpress accessories in it :(
or it's clean, but expensive
Middle lanes at a gas station aren't even a thing here
328i are like 13 16k for a nice one
But like 80% off them have the ugly creme interior
Or white
💩
some are like that, but where they do exist people park about 8 ft away from the pumps making it too narrow anyway
Oof no M-Sport steeringwheel, don't like the standard one
Also preferably want a wagon
Wheel is ez to replace
I think like 650 750?
Not to bad
This engine is ez to tune
16x speed they were next to that last little truck for so long. the doot noise is me geting annoyed and weaving onto the rumble strip didnt flash or honk though
184 hp stock
Same engine ik
Nice car
But idk, spending almost 17k (more with steeringwheel) for a 9 year old car... Idk I just find it a bit expensive. But idk, maybe I will get something like that. I've always liked the F3x, and they drive great
Who knows
Yeah its expensive
9 years old i mean looks wise ot still looks good
But you want a newer car because of the tech?
I looked at this as well
No not really because of the tech, but idk we always bought relatively new cars and then just drive them a long time to get your money's worth of it... I don't think I'd drive a 9-10 year old car 5-6 years, idk exactly why
I mean the thing is tho if you look at lost value its better to buy 2nd hand car because someone else paid the big bucks on it
Yeah no we always buy used
But like, a few years old
Like 3 years old but 50% depreciated

For example my audi is from 2011 6 years older then the a was, yet the audi has more day value more options more power more luxery
Yeah no I know exactly what you mean
I just find it hard to justify spending such a large sum on a relatively "old" car
While ofc the experience is waaay different (better) than a similarly priced modern car
I see it as more bang for buck
This
I wished i never bought the a class new
Stupid stupid stupid
Oof new
Yes
It was quite the expierence ans cool
To spec like what you want
And it then being build
No wagon, but I don't mind because it's a Jaaag
unreliable
The modern ones not really
The once i have driven old ones felt cheap af inside for a premium brand
Before my dad got the volvo he had the electric one for a while
I dont know the name
I-Pace
Yeah the i-Pace wasn't particularly good
Alfa julia looks sooooo good
Especially not the earlier ones
But again the inside is so sheit compared to a 3 series wich is in the same price range
True
Yikes that particular Alfa has the smaller infotainment system
I hate it with those bezels
Same for BMWs with Navi Business
Horrible
Ah okay i just oicked the first 2 i saw
Yeah I know it was just for illustration purposes 😛
But navi size asside, i like the bmw interior better it looks premium you know like new and modern
That the problem when you know too much about cars: you want specific things an average consumer doesn't know
So 95% of the cars doesn't meet the criteria
You get very picky
This is true
My audi is super empty tho
No heated seats no backup camera no blind spot whatever thingy
Oof
Weird somebody configured it with the 3.0 TFSI but didn't even tick the heated seats box
I dont use heated seats ever, i opted for it in the a class uses ot 3 times
"Worth"
I'm sometimes just amazed about choices people make when configuring cars
Yeah personally I wouldn't really use it either
The only thing i would have wanted was camera
Blind spot shit idk about never had it so
But I'd get it even if it's to get rid of the blank switches xD
My head still moves and my eyes work
Can't you retrofit it?
But i wanted the sunroof, the like lights that go arround corners
Folding mirrors tinted glass etc
The bigger screen
Idk havent checkes yet, it depends if the navi is updated i think
Bigger screen is always required imho, the interior was designed with that screen in mind ao any other screen just looks weird
Ah yeah, I was just about to say 3.0 TFSI is always Quattro
Yes
But yeah especially in 🇳🇱 the 3.0 TFSI is rare
I think most actually are diesels
2.0 TDIs
Then 2.0 TFSI's
Then 3.0 TDI's, and then 3.0 TFSI?
Although there was also a 1.8 TFSI, now sure how well that sold

I've just cleaned the inside of the engine bay and now this truck in front of me is releasing small leaves lmao.
I better check the air filter it's been 6 months past.
Getting tired of discord not letting me send bubble videos
Smart audi driver cuts close infront of me at the roundabout approach without indicating, basically pulls out on a car at the roundabout then is happy to cruise along doing 58mph. What a very reasonable person taking all the risks just to trundle along.
What do you think about Audi A6 c7 Quattro?
too german
@jovial mauve has one
I wonder if people think im flashing them when I wash my windscreen
I can see the lights flash on the back of the car infront as the headlight wipers go across.
All 2020 corsas have cruise control mright
Yes i have one, what do you want to know?
They all have it, yes
I wished id flashed or honked at that corsa yesterday

all I did was go all the way to the right on the rumbestrip but I doubt someone as shit as them glances in their mirrors anyway
Its good that cruise control is becoming standard equipment when you have people that go down to 58 on a hill then up to 70 again while you are overtaking them when it levels out
Really should have been the case ever since electronic throttles but I guess its one of many cheap things that they could charge a hiked price for
Very likely they'll never use CC
I actually like CC. I use it most of the time
guess we do have to get rid of people, sad
Yeah, we need to get rid of Peugeot drivers
modern ones maybe
And people who drive lifted trucks
Reminds me of this: https://youtu.be/FDwyO69sZ1I
New roundabout is being demolished for heavy duty truck
Uit Blik 28-1-2000
Also I'm not saying (adaptive) cruise control is bad, I just say those drivers who can't keep their speed probably likely will not use CC as they're generally older drivers who don't use the technology
Its weird how seeing a truck a cars length off another truck at 56mph is normal, but if it was a car doing that to another car youd be like well this guys an asshole.
It would be funny and probably terribly illegal to put a hook on the front of your car to grab onto the bumper bar on the back of a trailer and get a free ride down the motorway.
Just left lanw 200 kmh gogogogo
seems backwards :^) also great fun overtaking till you get stuck behind a corsa for 2 minutes doing 15mph under
“Tesla CEO Elon Musk is finally ready to talk Cybertruck, his most beloved pet project.
“Cybertruck is intentionally an insane technology bandwagon,” he wrote in a tweet earlier this week.
And today, Musk spilled the beans on yet more details.
“Will have both front and rear wheel steer, so not just like a tank,” he wrote. “It can drive diagonally like a crab.””
Crab Mode Tesla CEO Elon Musk is finally ready to talk Cybertruck, his most beloved pet project. Earlier this week, Musk promised an update on the unusual-looking pickup. “Cybertruck is intentionally an insane technology bandwagon,” he wrote in a tweet. Today, Musk spilled the beans on a couple more details. “Will have both front & […]
Where have I heard this before?
Crabwalking isn't a new concept.
I guess it will delay the car for another 2-3 years.
Hence my comment
Mhmm
The Hummer EV has already been announced to have that feature
Me with my blackbox still having to overtake 99% of drivers
People drive so fucking slow
doesent bother me too much just they had a big enough gap to go in if they werent willing to even do the speed limit
Elusive Baguette Club
I'm in the firehazard club
A wise man once told me not to press a button for too long in a Peugeot
They didnt but.
Sadly my Peugeot didn't come with a fireplace
You reminded me something
What’s that
I saw some trucks in UK had a weird red dish
On the front
Idk what even that means
Something like this
Well guys bad news and good news I've reached 500k but my odometer screen is broken after reaching 500.075.
75 miles broke something rip
Is there a way I can fix that ?
Maybe the truck wasn't supposed to reach higher than 250k or 300k I cheated by bathing it and kept going with it
No gib
😢
Should I bake a cake tomorrow for fun lol
For the none living thing
Well mechanical yes
I could yeah
I kinda wanna give it a new engine with 56 thousand miles and take a look at how worned down the pistons in the half million mile 4.3 V6 engine
And perhaps fix it for a spare engine
Those engines are practically bulletproof I doubt the pistons will be worn down that much
o
It's hard to believe it's not a Toyota those engines are no joke from the 90s and 80s
Have the pistons ever been replaced?
Most 90s Toyota 4Runners are more than 400k on the roads just a few
Nah never been replaced
Oh wow yeah then I doubt there would be too much wear
There’s probably a little, just the nature of mechanical things
3000 miles it gets an oil change
I'm afraid my transmission likes to screech once awhile so I better check that too
I drive it like an old man lol.
Lol
It's a manual and I have another S10 that's an automatic but my grandfathers
nice
I drive way too long and only had my license for 7 years when I was 16.
Not a single accident or pull over
But nearly did all of the time due to other drivers
Thats a poppy, its for remembering WW1
oh
I have to drive my car like an old man sort of because the clutch is an old man.
👀
nissan ? o:
r32
sweet
sweet!
oh btw when did the game become more real lmao
I hit a boulder so hard and that happen
same model but not sure about ek
Sweet
indeed
cries in 22 gallon tank
meh tank size doesent really matter
$136 to fill my saabs tank atm here vs $68.23 at 3.799 there
and thats with the premium price over there
vs normie here
$136 for regular??
Dang
I think my car has an 18 gal tank so it would be about $68 to fill it up completely
I usually fill when I have 1/4 left tho
18 us gallon tank aswell
Nice
new head design and internals design for higher efficiency but lower durability. and turbo.
What mpg are you getting currently
23 US
Oh ok
I never stop though
thats just open road
If i was in any sense of stop go traffic oof
My gas tank is size of 60 liters
mines 68
Same
I have to pay 78 euros for full tank
My car does have an issue causing it to run rich
but why diagnose the issue when you can just install another engine
Kinda the opposite, most of my driving has lots of stops
Thank god for auto stop/start, I know ppl hate it but it saves me a decent amount of fuel
Lol
My old focus had a 47l gas tank and 56l petrol
I could get combined 86l of gas
The gas tank can be only filled at 80% capacity and I could use up 30 liters out of it
I probably shouldnt be doing that with heavily corroded brake lines but
meanwhile me who's brake line exploded behind a bus
The one went on our civic during the MOT heh
First time it had experienced hard braking
I just tried to brake and I had no brakes
My friend had that bringing his Peugeot 504 pickup home
I panicked and i did put my car on first
is that how your head went heh
I had no options other than drive in to a ditch
Well I know handbrake exists, but it works on rear wheels
Mine is pretty weak so even if I yank it all the way up it brings the car to a controlled stop
found that out trying to do a quick turn around
Mine is able to lock the wheels
But I still don't think I would stop in time
I just keep even a bigger distance from other vehicles since then
Ill be refreshing the car soon now that I have a lift its 100x easier
Also
This is just funny but also sad
Someone bought a parking spot in garage, bought electric car, tried to get charger installed, but he got banned from parking in the garage because electric car is a firehazard that the building code can't deal with
So not even having a parking spot in garage will save you
When stuff goes like that I doubt electric cars will be a viable to everyone soon
They are just worried because the fire cant be controlled by a traditional system and a fire would affect the living area
I'll be honest
Electric cars scare me the most cuz the batteries
I had the misfortune of lithium ions catching on fire
I have a fair few lipos so have proper storage
My 18650 were defective and did burst in to fire when charging them
I got a defective bath and all 2 of 3 cells caught on fire and last one just discharged to 0
Building owners and codes will catch up eventually.
Gotta love driving in this
pretty goog visibility still
Couldn't see the road at all at times so I just had to follow the truck
this is the strat right here, reduces the amount of snow u get hit by, reduces drag 😎, makes it easier to see what's infront of you, and you dont have to worry about sudden stops because trucks brake slowly
i need to get a set of dashcams as well
How to stalk someone:
my ferrari is repaired again 😄
What can I do with a car I don't have the title to? I left it in the home Depot parking lot keys and all but nobody has taken it yet xD guess nobody tried putting a battery in it yet.
Not much
There are methods of getting a title but you have to jump through hoops to do it
Thats for here at least
Esibizione del grande Stefano Bucci sulla sua Ferrari F40 by Michelotto al circuito Enzo e Dino Ferrari di Imola durante il Maserati Day del 6 Luglio 2013.

Why does F1 have to be the worst fucking motorsport of all
