Also India has a lot of restrictions on engine and fuel consumption so getting a better engine is pretty stupid. Plus you don't need more than 100 bhp on India roads as they literally are well they're not what you think they are. I still won't ever drive at more than 40-60 km/h on Indian roads.

old cars are also weaksauce on crash tests

like if you get side ended from a late model 80's, early 90's car, you're likely to end up with broken legs or spine and stuff like that

The old polo(that looks a lot like your Polo Vivo) which ran from 2002 to 2013 here was for ppl who were like "hey,I want a Gol but it feels cheap and everyone has it,the Fox has unreliable engines and air conditioning is optional,I want something with more confort, more space, more everything but I don't wanna pay a premium on a Golf or an Astra".

#

That one was great at the start but VW made it worse over the years to make it more competitive(most of this was aimed at the sedan which was meant to replace the outran Santana in 2006)

Ye its not the prettiest and not the most fun to drive but it is kinda what EVs should be like - range is fine, not a massive SUV (screw you audi), 30k€ for a small car is a bit harsh but well EVs are more expensive in general and for one the price is alright and vw charges 20k€ for an electric up

stoic ledge
#

Zoe isn't bad, especially not the newer once

#

At my brothers work place they traded up from 1st gen Zoe's (~2014?) to ID.3's last month... Not because they really wanted ID.3's but because VW had so many of them in stock, they could get them for a very cheap price 😂

I don't think the ID3 is a good proposition

#

the main thing that's wrong with it is that the rear seats are so low that you're kind of sat on the floor

stoic ledge
#

That's with a lot of EV's, the floor is too high

eager grove
#

unfortunately for crossover haters, that body shape just makes sense for EVs

stoic ledge
#

So your legs are in an uncomfortable position

Even with cross-overs

you just replace ground clearance with batteries

Maybe - that certainly isn't the case with all of them
