They are dipped more than they need to be
There should be a knob/screw you can turn to adjust them.
Or if they were actually loose when you inserted them. Then you might have done it wrong.
nah they are in properly but something with the electric adjustment is unhappy
like even with the bulb out the actual mount is loose
mazda 2
My A3 occasionally complains about a "dipped" headlight but there's absolutely nothing wrong from what I can see lol
I want to install a light bar on the Corolla.
I just need to find a way to get through the aero panels that cover the place I need to access.
And also figure out what kind of mounting hardware I need for aluminum bumpers.
I have an off set plate
I hate the look of a center mount plate on my car.
Also I'd prefer something that isn't just mounted to plastic/foam
Some stock fog lights are pretty brutal and people insist on using them where there is absolute 0 fog for tha look
This will be mounted foglight level, but I really just want some extra light spread to either side.
That's probably one issues with projectors.
My Accord had hella light spread to either side. It was great.
I'm used to better.
saab I cant see anything in the right lane heh
turn them on at the same time ig
It would have to be a bit more rudamentary with a relay on my car heh.
id also have to fit my new fog light as one of them is smashed
glass down low big brain idea
mines are just stones
Having them on at the same time is flat out illegal in a lot of places in the US.
lol
I'm just gonna put mine behind the grill.
Good chance I'm going to put a finer mesh over the grill as well. I'm getting waaay too many bugs on the radiator as it stands.
That's gonna look good.
I doubt the light bar will block that much
Reality is Corolla won't get a light bar till next year if not later.
Jeep getting a lightbar before the year is over.
That one can get a plate mount easy.
But I'll probably go for a RIGID LED bar.
Those are supposedly really good.
Still mounting hardware.
I want to drill into the bumper itself... the metal bit that is.
But I need to check what that will entail with it being aluminum.
lol c'mon man
I'm not gonna spend 500 dollars on lights to use zipties.
Unlike Linus I need this to last more than one video.

This is what I used to drive. Was nice to have that extra light bar.
That's when we picked them up from delivery. Spent 10 months, and 50,000+ km's with the truck before I moved on to another place of work.
Lol
How to give Europeans a heart attack
she lookin gooooood homie
:)
hatchbacks are nice
I hope they bring back the WRX hatchback

They probably wouldn’t but I can dream 🥲
not really?
The new gen Civic and WRX look nothing alike.
New Civic is very Jetta-esque from the back.
New... wait a minute.
The new WRX looks like a last gen Corolla.
I'm 100% seeing a last gen Corolla here.
More plastic cladding, but the windows scream Corolla.
It looks like a civic to me because of the tail lights
last gen Civic maybe
It's nearly identical to a Jetta.
I’m going to be honest with you I have probably seen one or two Jetta’s in the last year
Especially those lights
I have no clue what those look like
Like any generic VW
I probably haven't seen one this year, but similar story with the Civic lol
It's only gotten bigger.
At which point the question is.
Why does the Civic and Accord exist at the same time?
So the Accord can go even bigger
They actually cancelled the Accord in Europe
Although they did that years ago
Probably in like 2014
Still not sure what to think of the hatchback.
And the European Accord was the Acura TSX
Front end and rear end styling don't quite match up imo
I would say Kia called, they want their Stinger back.
But since that's going away soon... I'm guessing Kia sold the tooling to Honda.
Honda managed to sell 41 Civics here this year so far
Actually less than a Toyota Mirai
Oof damn, Model X sales dropped by 99% and Model S sales by 95% compared to last year

damn model x's were keeping alloy refurbishers in business :^)
literally every single one ive seen absolutely roasted
Lol
they are too wide methinks
they need to use wider tires to protect the wheels
Or shorter wheels
Skinnier wheels? Whatever the correct word is
not really gonna have the tyres bulge out with those low profile tyres
Im thinking of getting those for the saab, atleast a black one for the front left

this makes me pretty anxious to put the alloys on heh
That's not very wide no
One of them has a 215/55 which bulges out nicely
but it is 3% oversized diameter wise
a 195 55 R16 or 205 would be right
I have 195 55 R16 on zhe Corsa
I currently have 185's heh
yeah the 10+ year old compound has aged like wine aswell
the nice thing about the 215's is how much it bulges out
I really dont want to fuck up these professionally restored alloys heh
The other weekend I cleaned my brothers winter alloys, don't think they were ever cleaned before, they were nasty inside
Still not everything is gone
Curious to see how they look, as non R-Design wheels on an R-Design model
I got these 4 alloys for £100 which was a steal
As far as I could find, not too bad
Lol definitely xD
in the wet its just abs pump go brr
Not too bad no
I wouldn't even want to drive on 10 y/o tires
Probably of a very excellent make as well
its a mismash
Even better
it only did like 10k miles in the past 10-15 years
They are unbalanced for extra fun
you can find a sweet spot where the wheel stops shaking
MOT pass
thats the best brand but the most rotten
Phoning up my part worn place soon to see if they have a decent pair of 215's and will buy another new one to match the new one I got free.
How
just over 1.6mm on the central 3/4

I really bought a heap of shit
Power steering pump
Power steering lines
Fractured spring
Seized rear shocks
Destroyed anti roll bar bushings
Holy exhaust silencer
Welding required
Door linkages missing
Heavily worn pulley bearings
Light control module repair
Distributor seal
thats all the fixes ive done that I would say were mandatory
but hey it was saved from the scrapyard where it absolutely belongs
Honestly none of those issues seem to horrible.
Not sure how you fracture a spring, but w/e.
just badly corroded
Just alot of money in parts alone for a car which value does not merit it
save the Saab
If I get 2 years out of it ill be happy
Jeep needs to last for 3 years.
If I baby it along enough this clutch might hold out
I just bought this as it has crazy cheap insurance
makes sense
I was looking for something older to mess about with though
I might get a meme car for a winter beater. A diesel or something. lol
Buy a Jackery battery bank to use to power a block heater in the winter.
Oddly enough the price per gallon is pretty much equal here right now.
I'm paying up a bit for zero ethanol gas.
We just went to E10
I can afford E0, so I see no reason to skip. Might go for E10 to remove any moisture if there is any?
I was going to get a OG9-3 2.2 TID but the insurance was triple the 2.0 NG900
I see Jettas and other shit on occasion.
I think I got put off vag stuff by the insurance
toyotas that werent like aygos or yaris' have really steep insurance too
I'm just not too excited with the repair costs of a VW product.
And a 1000 dollar Jetta TDI with 300k miles sounds like a dare.
The worst part about the saab is the fucked motor mounts :^(
Need to jack up on the oil pan and bell housing :^( and remove shifter linkage
need a second jack I think, I just dislike working under the car on a steep slope
Yeah, not too safe. lol
Depends on what TDI
Some are bulletproof, some are horrendous
Although it's a VW so I'd say no
Don't know if they sold diesel Volvo's in the US? But those are also quite nice, the 5-cyl diesels (2.4)
It's the 1.9 I believe.
The engine is solid, but at 300k other parts of the car are worn out.
I wanted a old astra with the 1.7 isuzu diesel
Yeah the 1.9 had some good and some bad versions
And prices in the US aren't cheap.
So even some bushings or suspension bits aren't gonna be great.
Run like tractors, but they run forever
I might try to buy a Mercedes diesel at some point. I just know the pre-V6 diesels are good.
Or easy enough to fix.

Did you know they have a 30k miles service intervals?
Huehuehue
It would probably be easy to do as people put the B204 in the astra
potentially a direct swap
Do it
insurance company: wtf bro
insurance companies just hate swaps even if there is a loss in power
Id say someone that goes to the effort of putting a 1.7 isuzu diesel in their saab is unlikely to crash but hey
oddly enough my car has a particulate filter.
Also I finally figured out my EGR. So if/when it breaks I should be able to fix it myself easily enough.

It's all water cooled. So many coolant hoses.
But yeah. Toyota even thought to distribute the EGR gases evenly between all 4 cylinders.
modern stuff always so intimidating
Honestly? I've largely figured it all out.
from a glance
It's mostly coolant lines.
Hopefully the wiring holds up over the years.
Also weird to see two separate fuel rails.
Better than BMW's water cooled alternators.
What kind of car is this? Also isnt there typicly a cover hiding these lines of cables?
It's a Toyota Corolla.
Toyota probably didn't think it important to use too many plastic covers here.
Looks far too clean but nice.
It's a newer car. lol
Hehe, alright ^^
A bit dusty, but I haven't done anything too crazy yet.
My only real goal in the future is to track down a Lexus UX200 engine cover.
Never taken a look under my V70 from 2016 but imagine its not that exciting 😛
I think it's fun to figure out what does what.
... wow might as well say taxes are relaxing.
When i find the quatro tools ill probably do that.
Open up and see whats actually beneath.
I swear I can have real fun.
Taxes??
yeah, y'know doing your taxes and returns and the such.
Taxes isnt much fun when your living in norway but eh, each to our own fun ^^
Also I appreciate society's move to electric water pumps. Makes replacing them much easier.
Taxes in the US are a huge pain. Every year we gotta fill out forms, or pay a company to do it for us.
To find out if we owe more money or we are owed money.
I hate it. It's 4-8 hours of my life I never get back... every year.
(I think that's the same in every country tbh)
Really? That fucking sucks yo
I dont even know what kind of thing my car has, but i will probably google and find out now.
My money just gets yoinked before I am payed
Was too expensive when they had it serviced tho haha.
2016
V70 D3 2016, producing in 2015 😛
xD
x)
There's a good chance it's still a mechanical water pump.
Classic
Norway being a prime example of labor cost is high 😛
Get the Volvo remapped, really opens it up
VNT?
Could be worse. You could have a Ford V6. That water pump job costs about 2000 USD.
stage 1 or do i have to google more xD?
Variable turbo, basically can change itself between a small or a big turbo
Im tempted to cut out one of my chains by removing the oil pan
I dont need balance shafts
ohh
You say that now.
Stage 1 is fine
o_o
You hear it at 1500 to 2000rpm but outside that not at all.
D2 = 1 big turbo
D3 = VNT turbo
D4 = 1 small 1 big turbo
D5 = 1 VNT 1 big turbo
They made the engine without balance shafts but added them in newer ones for luxoree
Mazda's setup is even more literal.
Kinda want to get the engine tuned and get more out of it but its so damn new 😛
If it's out of warranty, could be worth a look tbh.
Increase power/fuel economy a bit. Shouldn't affect emissions?
D5 also had PowerPulse basically, a 2L compressed air tank to keep the turbo's up to speed or spool them up faster
My brother has a V40 D2, we remapped it from 120hp/280Nm to 180hp/400Nm
Haven't really heard about them breaking yet
Two valves and an air cylinder shouldn't break.
Exactly
But it just sounds like extra weight and complexity all the same.
It's not as complex as the turbocharged, supercharged and electrified T8

It just went outside warranty when it was beyond 5 years 😦
lol
Just... install a turbo that's bette... oh yeah. The new ones are insane.
And Volvo is suffering for it I hear.
It's a Volvo VEA engine, they don't need warranty
VEA?
modern volvo parts cost is
Ive mostly heard it being damn reliable but eh its ok.
Variably Eaten Avocados?
Only the intake can clog (like any modern diesel), just write out the EGR valve and you're set for the next 500k km
Had to change one injection thing in the engine.. It costed 550€..
The new generation of engines have teething issues. Also other cars in the class offer V6s.
Can confirm its expensive.
The Volvo Engine Architecture (VEA) is a family of straight-three and straight-four automobile petrol and diesel engines produced by Volvo Cars in Skövde, Sweden, since 2013 and Zhangjiakou, China since 2016. Volvo markets all engines under the Drive–E designation, while Geely groups the three-cylinder variants with its other engines under the G...
Teething`?
Been to that page before 😄
Early issues that need to be worked out basically.
ahhh
Or people need to come to accept. A 4 cylinder isn't going to be as smooth as a V6 or sound as good.
I had a 850 volvo in 2012 to 2020 but i got the 2016 d3 in 2018, outside it being a 6speed automatic it was my dream car 😛
hell yeah
Anyway, get the D3 remapped, remove the EGR in the software and you're set for many many miles
Remove the EGR?
yeah
Sounds illegal but.. ok?
It's not here
Yeah im not gonna fuck with the engine so much its not on the illegal side, knowing this is norway.
It actually makes it more fuel efficient
Norway dont fuck around.
I would check local regulations.
Deleting the EGR isn't illegal here yet as long as it passes emissions tests
But EGR is pretty much the one piece of emissions equipment that everyone questions.
(which it does)
It reduces NOx emissions... which is good.
But it reduces power and fuel economy, which is bad.
If i can get more performance out of the car and better fuel economy i'll probably get it tuned 😛
Also quite unhealthy for the engine, carbon clogs up
Which they kinda say at every fucking tuning place but googling just makes me more uncertain haha.
Not an issue for me.
oof..
The EGR valve is right there in the open. Shoudn't be an issue to replace.
New bulbs are pretty nice
Also Toyotas don't take to tunes very well.
The intake clogged on my brothers D2 after only 120k km, we replaced it with a new clean one and immediately programmed the EGR valve closed
Remap + EGR closed + speed limiter removed for €400 =
Especially not N/A engines
Neato, now get the light to follow your cars steering wheel 😎
Some wicked mods online i wish i truly got on my old 850 before it died.
yeah, no clue why, but at this point w/e.
Corolla is going to likely be serviced exclusively by the dealer. Until something actually breaks.
I wish but my car is a 2005 audi a3 lol
oh yeah. Toyota offers turning headlights... not available on manuals of course.
Because manual drivers clearly hate premium features.
*available from 2021 onwards
Interesting.. Just dont want to fuck with the car engine so it runs worse or ends up throttling earlier.
Same as zhe Corsa, regular maintenance dealership, other repairs regular garage

yeah
If any it'll last longer
Unless it's something I can't do solo
Bruhhhhhh
I still need to get mine tuned
Buyed it at 112500 km and im at 152000km now 🙂
my parents get too lucky drivetrain wise
But man.. services and fixing shit on this car seems so expensive.. So if something breaks next time ill clear our garage and do it myself 😛
Even if i have to google the living shit.
I just wish I had level ground
Level ground?
Yeah, but that's what google IS for.
Hehe yeah.
My driveway is a steep slope so its very fun to work on
Ahh
I have gravel or a garage with 3 vehicles in them and junk xD
Gravel seems easier to pull shit up but ehhh x)
I've made with my car to Germany
Just a week more and I get to move into my new place.
Yay
o_O
2 garages.
I have a garage but even if it was empty my car would be too long
And now i must go to Netherlands
Attached garage for one car. Detached garage for 2 cars.
My volvo is 4.9 meter something.. almost feel you.. But i think our garage is some 14-15 meters 😐
Heated and insulated.
Weird flex but ok 😄
I dont like having it half in the garage because if I run into issues I wont be able to close the door
Understandable.
North Dakota gets minus 30 F winters.
Really freaking cold.
We eventually got it up to 235 until we spotted the sign saying "aquaplaning" while it was raining
Not bad for the base diesel which came with a 190km/h limiter
30???????????
He said negative 30
SHIT
-34C
- 34 C
BRUHHHHHH

Our government starts panic salting at like 2C minimum
Just remember. -40 is so cold that both temperature scales agree for once.
Im glad im not the only one having it at power mode lol 😛
Only proper look lol
Norwegian goverment agrees with you.
But they salt so godamn fucking much its sad.
2002 honda ded from it
😦
My old volvo 850 somehow survived 15 minus celcius but once we bumped into a snow dump it died for a week 😛
Could have been welded but it was already in disrepair and lack of use
I'm curious to see how big of a difference awd makes during winter
AWD..
All my cars before have been fwd
Big enough to get you into trouble faster.
winter tires > AWD
Open diff sucks.
I might get 2 winter tyres on my steelies when I put the alloys on
Well yeah I have studded tires for winter
Adjusted driving style > all
errrrr
ehhhh
studded no legal here
Your driving style isn't going to save your driving on summer tires.
It won't no matter what you say.
The snow lasts such a short time here that no one bothers to get winters
Ye.
UK
Seen enough idiot on videos.
Not even legal to drive with summer tires during winter here
idiots*
Using your summer driving style also isn't going to save you on winter tires in snow
I drive on summer tyres all year round
You can sort of get away with all seasons here, but once your temps go well into the negatives, the winter tire compounds come into their own.
Also American "summer" tyres are often more like European all seasons I've noticed
You cant even get out of our street on summer tyres
We all plow it and grit it though
I'm talking negatives Fahrenheit, not Celsius.
its cambered so if you slip alloys = gone
I know I'll be upgrading to good touring tires on the 'rolla when the time comes.
Hold up
So summer tyres are fine
This was overnight lmao

Something i can relate to.
Then winter tyres are required yes
Not now tho, but last years was awful.
My poor old skoda got buried
mum couldnt get out of shopping parking space heh
Last time we couldn't get out of the street due to snow was in 2010, after that we barely had anything
the tyres on the civic were rotten old part worns with little tread
Gotta love this weather
For us, the best tyre combination is probably summer for the summer and all seasons for winters lol
Got stud-free winter tires. Never let me down.
Yet.
??
They were 14" steelies, looked horrible
That compound is better on pure snow but they nope out on ice
Never even put them on it
Ehh, havent had bad experiences on either.
Not much fun with electric parking brake but not totally possible when i disabled the ESP on ice ^^
😏
that car had so little money spent on it and it lasted so long
Btw honda calls that colour green
Ideally compound is also better once temps go low enough.
Turns out even all season compounds lose grip once it gets cold enough.
Mine came with these as winter wheels, that's just horrible
Also, I don't need to leave the house when it snows, I can work/school from home. So if it's not safe to leave... Doesn't really matter that much
Trying to find that one article someone did about it.
Instead all I'm finding is, "what if you run winter tires on the track"
ffs I know what happens
Who cares
I know someone that did that heh
I think it was car and driver that did it.
They ended up running winter tires against actual summer tires. Something like 300% longer braking distance in the snow.
how is google this useless
We have like two types of winter tires here, studded and something we call "friction" tires
It really depends on the climate, but yeah in thicc snow winter tires are superior
However during winter, we basically only have rain and only like 2 days a year snow
For those 2 days, I don't drive on inferior tyres the other times
studded tires are largely a no no in the US.
Trucking companies just YOLO the mountain passes.
Otherwise highways tend to remain fairly clear... or just shut down for a day.
😐
I love the midwest.
Because some cities will have gates that can be closed to the interstate.
Snow gets bad enough? No travel for you.
when the council says the pothole isnt dangerous :^ |
yeah but can you still fix it because my spine isnt enjoying it and I cant imagine the car is
Since they are aware of the pothole I can send the bills for suspension parts myess
Don't think they'll reimburse you for it
Also, I'd probably be worried more about bent rims if it's a big pothole? Idk
lower balljoints: shook
Im tempted to make a system to make my manual saab automatic for the fun of it
it isnt the most compliant gearbox ive used so it might have difficulty heh
deep learning for the clutch control or tap into crankshaft position sensor
if yall like people building cars
the youtuber Jerry rigs everything is converting a military Humvee to an EV

Oh dear.
I dont know how but he managed to get his hands on an entire model... 3? battery array
tarox discs 👀
It's a fun watch.
Brake discs are so small on this car you wouldnt even see them through my alloys
Bought this foxbody today
Seems to be missing a few parts.
A friend of mine had one ... nice car and great sound

Our pricing thing looks a lot different in Australia
Its prices in idr
This is aus
Theres the configurator as well i showed u the pricelist
The stock car with no extra mods
There really aren't many options that you can add with the car.
Closer to €110,000 for the iX 50 version.
u guys seen the new 2022 Subaru 🤢
People are overreacting. I don't mind it in the slightest.
Ngl those taillight are 🤮
Might also be Trackmania.
watched it live prepping self for silverstone levels of salt
Still not sure why people are so up in arms about the 2022 WRX.
Main thing I don't like about it is the stupid infotainment.
At least they have dedicated buttons and knobs for volume and temperature.
following up on the image abvove
Odd, don't think that's fair, if 1 gets punished they should both get punished
i think they deemed max was not enough alongside to be given the room i think the majority of those watching disagree
Anyone knows about the new most expensive car in the world right now ??
It’s rolls Royce boat tail
Eh. The most expensive cars are just whatever the rich people are willing to pay for them.
Are we including classic cars?
thats one piece of solid titanium.... think it'll buff out?
My car
Why not getting an rs7 ?
All clean 😌
kaawau
I have a question for everyone. Does your car have an automatic transmission or a manual transmission?
My name
Auto
best manuel
What car is that
saab NG 900
@dense shard it's setup for an LS though 👀
My truck is an auto and my audi is a manual
My mustang is no
What Audi do you have ?
A7
Too old for my liking.
Modern cars cringe
Cars are nice.
I have a '97 A4
falcon went bang 😦
Where is the cars movie
Manual
Manual as well
Anti-theft device*
Personal car is manual.
Work truck is automatic.
auto
lol
whay does that look VW
Bodykit?
In europe, Manual is still more used 😛
guess the cars
Suzuki Swift and Ford Fiesta
suzuki swift and hyundai grand i10 sportz
In the Netherlands using driving assistants (cruise control, rear camera/sounder, lane assistant) while driving exam is allowed. Except autopilot
Here that cars that you get for driving exams don't have that
Stock fiat stilo
My instructor was like "ye just drive around town for a bit and you're good"
Probably took the same amount of time lol
any grand i10 sportz you guyz know that is hilariously overpowerd for its size
above 200hp
I have my test coming up and I am kinda stressed
You'll be fine, just focus on your surroundings and handling of the car and you'll just kinda forget you're in a test
Not only you test soon
Next week for me
It is difficult here I heard
56% passes in my exam city
Where are you from ?
Doesburg, The Netherlands, and my exam city is Doetinchem
Im from Quebec and here, it’s supposed to be hard to pass that exam
OHHH nice I have a few Dutch friends
He’s from Sint Vituskerk
I think
The Dutch driving exam agency (CBR) is required to publish school and exam location succession percentages
Damn
Here(Quebec), they make you drive around for 25 minutes, highways and everything and then they test you in your parking skills. If you fail to park, you fail your test
They test parking here too but I only had to park back where I started from
what are those wheels on the suzuki lmao
theyre so bad
🇳🇱: 55 minutes in total,
First 20 min sign a self reflection form and a chat with examinator,
Then 35 min of driving
mine was about an hour, i had ~10 min safety check with the examiner, ~5 min parking test, then the last 45 were driving. The test included residential streets, main roads and then a little bit of expressway driving, including merging onto another expressay.
Damn and where did you do your test ?
I know
That's stupid imho, fun when you use papa's car, but not your 10yo first car
lmao I want an international driving license from netherlands then
it's 80hp-
Michigan
Don't think lane keeping is allowed tho, and neither is adaptive cruise. But I do think the warnings are allowed
However that might fail you even faster
Damn
the examiner didnt even check or ask me

i leave that stuff on all the time
no reason to turn it off
unless i went to a track or something lul
My driving aids are ABS, ESP and TSC, and if you want to include it cruise control. That's it
No lane keeping/warning, distance warning, parking sensors, reversing cam...
no backup cam
i rely on that thing lul
Kind of excessive on a car smaller than 4m (3.999cm xD)
true
Although I do have a massive blind spot in the rear

I can't read
It is a EU Dutch driving license. Valid in EU, Norway, US, Canada, Japan, Turkey, Morocco and many other countries according to Dutch automobile club ANWB
Ok so how can I get one?
You take driving lessons and complete the exams
Hmm
Do you have a foreign?
Booking my flight now
I don't have any , in my country we can't get one it'll 18
If you're a starter expect to lose about 2300-2500 euro's total
I don’t know
I heard that some EU countries don’t accept US drivers licenses outside of visiting
Lol
Oof that's expensive
Isn't driving in the US way easier than in most of europe, since all the cities are planned so only straight roads
Actually, If you have a other driving license issued in EU, Norway and Switzerland and you move to the Netherlands your driving license is still valid until expire date on it
But why? It's so dangerous. I'd rather walk
Idk ask them
Yeah
same kek
Lul
The only roads that aren’t straight by my house are roads made pre 1940
@haughty ridge https://youtu.be/GOm9O0gdaeA
There is crazy traffic and then there is crazy Indian traffic!!
There is an intersection like this pretty close to my house
(this kinda traffic)
I'd just turn around, I am not driving through that.
Kek
I do
For the next 2 years atleast
What about this? https://youtu.be/pdSDHlayBk4

Money saving
They even attach little trailers
New video ltt
why my wheels have stupid hole sizes 😄
I know some ebay sellers if you send them a picture of it they will get you one
Says they’re out of stock of the one I need, gonna have a look around later

Found out my foxbody has weld wheels on it
And bias ply slicks
Paid $400 and that's already $1600 in rear wheels and tires
V8 😏
cor good work those are some really nice pics
i can only imagine how weird you looked while taking these pics lol
So this was following us into a car show yesterday
Would actually surprise me
Like yeah our roads are more narrow and we use something that makes sense different as measuring units but anything else is just hmm
I believe it was because the test is “too easy” in the states
did it right outside of the camera store where i got the lens, probably didn’t look too out of place
Real or a kit I’ve seen a few kits
Probably also because the EU makes a distinction between automatic-only drivers and other drivers, whereas in the US when you pass in an automatic you are also allowed to drive a manual car
Also known as restriction code 78
got mine fore €1800 😛
i turned them off xD
the car had the capability, but during my lessons i turned them off.
instructor asked me why, I said the first car I'm gonna get won't have this luxury, so I'd rather learn it myself.
then proceeded to reverse park without listening how it was supposed to go and he was like, "that'll do"
exactly
some blender cars my friend does
This is mine. 100K km, 2011 ford Ka
aha I was clicking pics with my a5000 on a trail today and everyone kept looking at me weird :/ what do you do when that happens? I'm a newbie
Looks good. no way that paint is gonna stay that nice if you'd puit it on an actual car xD
just ignore them lol
sounds legit
Is it okay if I dm you? I would really appreciate help and tips
Just do extra crazy when they start staring xD
i mean i’m sorta new too tbh
always messes people up
not that many special tips i have
I wanna Wrap my car black with double white stripes on the rightside. but im not sure if i want matte or glossy
I spent the last 2 years tryna get the best out of my Redmi Note 9 Pro using open camera, and now I'm finally using a proper camera, and hoo boy this is so unintuitive I would seriously appreciate help
yea oke thx
glossy wouldnt look bad
I used open Camera on my S8 a lot. but have a POCO X3 now. i like the default camera too. 64MP god damn
but then, I don't often make pictures XD
64 mp is stitched together from seperate images afaim
*afaim
*afaik
I have 48 like that but it doesn't matter on custom roms
I'm using evox rn
Idk, i do know the size file is too big for Discord xD
and the zoom goes far
you should try custom roms once you stop getting updates
Xiaomis without custom roms are like shorts without undies. You can wear em, but won't be comfy
I have concidered doing it, but I honestly want my phone to juust work
yea there's like an 80% chance it'll work if it's a big name rom apart from LOS, and 95% chance it'll work if it's LOS. I can understand your concerns but I don't use my phone for mission critical stuff so idc honestly
Atleast make sure you disable msa and other creepy stuff
and after an hour of changing settings, i got the experience near Samsung's One UI (Android 9)
that's not saying much considering the mess one ui itself is lol
While i now am running MIUI 12.5.2 (Android 11)
Agreed, but most people that use Android have Samsung phones. so when you're used to it.... It's nice to have it stay somehwat the same
But given that i suspect 2 or 3 more yyears of support for this device, after that... i sure will try a ROM
yea.. I think I'm never going to be able to stand anything other than stock after using pixelish roms for so many years so I can understand
Got a Pixel 4A for my dad, i like it. only I am missing some options
but the customisation is crazy
like insane crazy
imagine the amount of stuff you can do when it's a custom rom
honestly not much more lol
Android is at the point where it doesn't matter if you're running a custom rom, if you're rooted if you have xposed, if you have magisk
the experience doesn't change that much
wdym? The phone was like; you want your icons to be diffrent? and the icons from the dropdown bar, diffrent colours?
Sadly I joined the scene in 2018 and I never got to see the glorious days of limitless customisation
I was talking about how custom roms are traditionally more customisable
ah i see xD\
Whaddya think about the Nissan z
I think it's nice but I'll never see one
India lyf
I'd drive that
tbh, my dream car would be the Subaru Impreza WRX STI '96-'02
this one is so fucking perfect * imho*
You out here swearing lol that's brave
huh what?
LTT warship doesn't like swearing
F*ck isn't really a swear word, its more of a adjective XD
Guys guys guys
I’m the stupidest moron he ever
I had a flat yesterday
Loosened five of the bolts only to discover locking wheel bolts exist
You mean the one bolt that is a key?
Call AA, he patches me up and sends me on my merry way, telling me to find my locking wheel key or I’m SOL, right
Right
So I drive home
And then to work this morning
Normally it's in the glovebox?
Only to have a panic and remember
That I didn’t tighten the bolts on the wheel again
Just tightened them
Drove at 70mph this morning
On a tire that has a glued together puncture and 5/6 loose bolts
No dice, seems gone. I made a play dough one and found a march online, should arrive Thursday
Is it possible to be more stupid than that? I doubt it
Yikes. hope that fits 😄
i mean... my car only has 4 bolts per wheel... and i don't seem to have issues at 160-170khm
I think when I pass driving exam then I’ll get a car with 2,5L engine 5 cilinder straight with 900k km on it
so if you have 5 that are tight, and one that is not... should be fineeee
900K? damn i don't think you can find those
VW T4
but... but... T1 or T2
My father will buy new transporter soon. So I will get the current one
Ah, that is nice. why a van tho?
Like... what are you using that much space for
For his company
I will let him pay for it (on the company’s name)
cheeky xD
Here company policies are generally more expensive if you have it where young people are allowed to drive the vans
most dont do below 21
We have a thing called grey registration plates here (it is regular yellow, but begins with a V or B) where we will get cheaper on taxes
I pay €57/Month insurance, and €20 per quarter for Tax.
am 24 now. but i was looking for a car at 18 and 22, and insurance was over €100 and €80 respectively.
and for the bit i drive, i found that too much
Im £280/y for road tax and £400/y insurance at 19
and now i got all my PC stuff done for the time being (3 PC;s total over 10K >_<)
i wanna get spoilers, Wrap and Rims xD
and Audio ofcourse
The 2nd option for me is getting a A2 motorcycle 25€ month for insturance and 12€ for taxes
the speakers are really good. but the player is kinda shit
i wanted to get a motorcycle licence as well, but kept putting it of xD
did drive quite a bit tho. i really enjoy it
I have 1h 15 min train and bus to school every day, with a mc or car I will get there in 30 min
One way
parking tho?
Sometimes would take me 2 hours on public transport for what takes me 30-45 mins in a car
I went to Avans in 's-Hertogenbosch... parking there is shit.
On you mean how much i pay for parking at my school?
luckily, i knew one spot where you'd walk to uni in 15, and parking was free
you can pay for parking at school? we couldnt xd
only for teachers
thats pretty cool
If it is full, I will park then at the other side of railway crossing (public road) there is always space
But at the main location the student parking is always full
No suprise
Imagine paying for parking
It's athing
I'd only have to worry about it if i went to the big city I'm close to
Never have a reason to
So work/school free parking
laughs in wide open largely empty United States
In the Netherlands the government pays your public transit for MBO(ROC)/HBO/WO students,
If you are VMBO/Havo/vwo disabled student your council may give transport card for you.
I my VMBO time i dit get Arriva always free abonnement from the council, valid weekdays and weekends

someone say volkswagen?
I cammed my MK3 Golf the other day and I'm working on the turbo setup for my MK3 Jetta TDI
need to buy a third turbo to take the compressor wheel out of then machine my turbo to take it
I don't
I get a compensation worth the amount of the Dutch public transport

Parking at school is... Okay if you come early (like ~30 minutes before most classes start)
However, we now have classes in the dedicated Computer Science Research centre which has a private parking, so
Quality
quirks and features
Rip 307
Yeah I saw that
Including a VW T1
Like wtf
i did not know that, interesting
it makes sense though
If you take your lessons and exam in a manual car, you can drive both manual and automatic
If you take your exam in an automatic car, you are only allowed to drive an automatic car
RIP
The exam is what counts. For all they care you can do all your lessons on an automatic. When you do the test on a manual you are still allowed to drive everything
True but it's not common to learn in an automatic and then take your test in a manual
Hell, that's probably never been done before, solely learning in an automatic and then passing in a manual

What
In villages, no problem. but cities... yeah
I didn't take the public transport pass that you can get while you study.
instead i biked xD
how very Dutch :3
It's fineeee
Big
shiii, that's sad
I go by car as I study abroad

it looks salvagable
I do know that in The Netherlands, indeed you usually leawrn a manual. but if you learn in automatic, you are not allowed to drive stick 🙂
Imagine learning Dutch and then go live in friesland XD
i like it
Nah Limburg FTW
never mindddddd
Lady Gaga
brb, gonna take a 💩
Good luck have fun
Thanks
CT4-V
Thank you
Doesn't matter, V6 would tax it like crazy here
This probably already would have like a 30k emissions tax on it

2.25 times my engine
Oh yeah our driving test is stupid easy

sure did XD
met een pakje boter XD
for non Dutchies; Did you get it at the corner store
Close enough xD
not even close bby

Want
It is not only in the Netherlands, but in the whole EU. It is called restriction code 78
Lol
Thats so weird
Would never have occurred to me that was a thing
We distinguish between car and bike
And normal passenger vs commercial vehicle
But that's about it
You could practice in a smart car and jump straight to a full bed full cab f350 without restriction
And it seems kind of silly to require manual certification imo
It ain't that hard
that is just old
I am sure the police doesn’t actually look at your gearbox when you have 78 restriction, it is more likely that they check if you can drive.
no.
looks like there was a fire in the rear
Got a question guys. So if I put two LED indicators in the circuit. Would that cause hyper flash? Probably would depend on the relays watts etc
Too low current
Get a resistor to fix
