I mean less safety than a fiat seicento
IDK how does a car with no floor pass inspection
and no suspention
and no exhaust
and no sills

and the enegine drinking all coolant in 50 KM
Sounds like Poland tbh
my focus is more fixworthy
I wish Ford hadn’t discontinued all their sedans and hatchbacks, aside from the mustang
The mustang isn’t really a sedan though
Yea
or hatchback
I see no point in sedans to be honest
My truck hates the heat as much as I do
My Fucus went to red once
Dang dude
but it was on heatwave
I need new radiator, because current one is already done
I had to replace mine recently with a new thermometer temperature as well
currentyl I'm getting my right sill fixed and steering pump replaced
then I need to replace radiator and replace the steering rack
since it was already damaged and posibble the dead powersteering damaged it even more
Oof
Well wish summer would be a little cooler for me during work days and my poor old truck too lol
Rip
maybe I'll install oil temp sensor and oil cooler
maybe it's something that could help during summer
Yeah
also I really drive it hard
I have to do that on my brothers 2004 rx8
They hate to idle
generally I like to rev between max torque and hp
when accelerating
but it's also a fear of not getting off the ramp in time
Like the highway ?
Exit ramp ?
entrance ramp
I want to hit 120 kmh before I exit it
I hate people that dont accelerate on them
We have this pretty steep uphill motorway and im like bruh if we dont get moving im not gaining speed for a long time.
I was getting on the expressway earlier today and nobody wanted to go above 50 mph entering a roadway where others are going 70+

There was a moderate amount of traffic but it’s still annoying
I go 90mph looking for cops on the fast lane so I can beat the traffic before it gets filled up when people are trying to go home lol
Lel
Someone at my works mot expires today, now I could remind them but then theyd know im a nosy fucker or let them potentially go without knowing and get a £1000 fine.
I can't wait till fines in Poland are gonna be super high
And you need to take a 10 year credit to be able to pay
Maybe instead of fixed fines we should do that they are dependable on the income
mot?
Nothing like "testing" your handbrake
you should make them pay 1k for your services
“Sorry for drifting officer, I just needed to make sure my handbrake works”
A yearly check for vehicles.
They look at the state of the tyre, headlight and cracks on windscreen
Oh
Wow I'm glad they don't have that here 😂
Where?
bit more than that here but yeah
My sick whip brotha
I'm not familiar with that badge what make is that?
Opel
Huh
Ah ok so it's a Euro thing
Interestingly enough they were owned by gm for like 90 years
And now it have become shit
After PSA bought the make
Opel wasn't exactly the shining crown jewel of Europe when GM owned them.
Honda Odyssey with a body kit lol
Ah yes, because after 25 years of losing money under GM and making a profit within 1.5 years, it's bad PSA got them out of the corporate GM shit hole
(says the guy driving a GM Opel 🙃 )
Hell, 2 GM Opel's even
I've got older gm stuff but newer stuff doesn't impress me
Mine's a 2012
Well made in 2011 (December 17th) but the 2012 model year
The mind-blowing 1.2 16v EcoTec Bi-Fuel with 83hp or 86hp depending on the fuel
In Europe being sold as "normal people cars", in the US as more pReMiUm Buicks
Imaging a world with only 1 car. The Fiat Multipla, how much would you hate it then?
My ford isn't even american
pontiac vibes can do burnouts
Still better than any VW 🙃
That's probably for the best

it's ugly, but functional.
but biodegradable
when i see these youtube videos of semi trucks parking fails, it always reminds me of kids who were arguing all the time "what will i do with math in life". Well, outside of obvious things like calculating prices and such, geometry would help the semi drivers to figure out how to park a semi with trailer in tight space 😄
my first parking wasn't so bad with a semi
Yeah that engine can enter city centers for the next 15-20 years or something
In what, being the best unreliable engine?

The most reliable
500000km+ and still running fine
yeah, but i mean, often the professional semi drivers do not pick that line of work because of choice between being a driver and let's say software developer. And more often than not, it is the kind of people who at school were laughing at better students for "being good at math". Well, math/geometry has it's uses in life, clearly 😛
I wanted to be IT guy, but I've ended up being a truck driver due to the Cough Cough virus
well, you might be the exception 😉
I could not finish the IT school because everyone lost their jobs
but I got my license for free
well, with a catch that I have to work as a truck driver for a certain period of time
i mean, you need to use geometry (for correctly turning and parking; for weight distribution). you need to know volume stuff (to correctly put the goods in your trailer). There is more math there than many would expect 🙂
For that they probably provide simple formula's for drivers who aren't that good at math
Ferrari is in Le Mans all the time, not sure how that one is special 😛
hello fred
Does anyone here know about the MTX FMUST05BK12A-TN? The led stays red while the car is on
imagine taking it to a tug of war
What is the fuel efficiency? 200l/100km?
something like that
It's like a tractor puller. But not actually being able to get into the competition grounds.
This is real redneck
is that 3 v8's?
There are some with turbine engines.
yolo
Torque! https://youtu.be/EVxByLO_6cA
UPDATE!!
Some information about the engine from the owner Josh Maschhoff: "We run at 150 psi.
The Engine weighs around 42500lbs loaded with coal and water.
Torque is 3000 ft lbs at 240 rpm
The sled was definitely weighted and i know from experience first hand that the engine can drag the sled with the weight box all the way up and the bars d...
Watching a tractor pull show at the county fair is one of my favorite things
3,000 fl/lbs at 240 rpm.
Oh. That's cute. There is pedal powered tractor pulling for kids.
this counts right
of all things i learned from watching american car crash videos is that people like to use "it is closer than it looks" when they claim someone cut them off. The only issue is that in most of these videos, we can clearly see the road markings, thus we know what the distance is. Like sure, 40 feet (12 meters) is not ideal, but nowhere near "he nearly hit my car"
they always blame the "widescreen camera" 😄
OMFG binky runs!
Only thing I've learned is the person with the camera is more often at fault.
You can tell someone is about to run into their lane... so they speed up to get into a crash?
Then act shocked they're run into.
The thing that always gets me is people will be going a certain speed
And then encounter a very minute hill
And just start dumping speed off
Not braking
Just, not adding power
And they will lose a good 5mph or more before they figure it out
Meanwhile I'm trying to maintain speed so i don't have to downshift
And it takes forever for them to go at a reasonable speed again
Yeah a defensive and active driver could avoid 9/10 of those things
But those videos make dashcammers look bad, like every dashcammer is like that :/
i mean "driver cut me off, closer than it looks". Man, we can see the damn markings on the road, also you are going like 35MPH/50KMH
it is obvious the car in front is 10+ meters away
Wide angles do warp distance perception to heck
Ive got a wide angle but less extreme for me saab. 110degree
Also have to consider the camera position. I wouldnt be suprised if the driver cant see much road surface between the cars.
Good illustration
Yeah the cam is up much higher so you can see more in front of the car. I can't really see the hood while it's clearly visible in the dashcam video
- camera angle ofc
the camera still doesn't change the markings on the road. just because one feels it was closer because of the drivers position doesn't make the car any closer. so for example in the picture above, the car was nearly 2 dashed lines away, at least 2 car lengths.
yes, in @charred depot 's example it is harder to guess distances, because the road marking is a full line. But even then, just because a person is overly focused on something it doesn't make it any closer. 10+ meters is still 10+ meters, even if it "feels" as if he nearly collided with you.
Tomorrow it's UK time for me
It will be difficult to you to enter and leave UK cuz of delta Covid and brexit
I go there as a truck driver
Is it me or does that just look like a Range Rover
It will be a lawsuit for
>:)
every car in USA looks like a clone of each other
kia is korean, Range Rover is British
and both of those cars are designed for US market, from size standpoint
like sure, there is demand for these oversized cars in Europe too, but much lower compared to US
I mean sure, but like these two cars don't look like the Tahoe/Expedition kind of giant clones to me
and then being electric, this looks like a 60k+ euro car
It'll be more than that I think, yeah
which puts it out of reach for majority of EU people anyway 😄
Yeah I guess
like going above 30k euros you are already kind of weird (or rich)
Mate, I'm from england
(at least in my region)
Electric cars are little different here. The government has incentivised leasing them a LOT recently
because they want to create a healthy used electric market for us plebs
incentives do exist, but when the base price is already insane, they do not help much
so it's way more affordable to lease an electric expensive car than a gas car here
Anyway
The Telluride is crazy popular in the US is my point
they're selling over sticker in some regions, Kia are selling every one of them they can make
it's also a format that's really crying out to be an EV once the range gets there
like BMW i3 (the mini BMW electric car) is 39 700 for BASE model. Yes, the state gives you 8k euro incentive, but that still brings you only down to 31.7k euros. for a miniature BMW i3
The knock on EVs is that they have to be tall and they have no driving dynamics...juust like 3 row SUVs
Cars in the EU are expensive, yes
We have that discussion in this channel a lot
I'm just saying I think it's weird that Kia aren't using their already popular styling here
i talk about electric cars in general being overpriced, so you end up with high price even after the incentives
VW ID.3 is 31k after incentives
and so on
Depends what you mean by 'overpriced'
what they are, at the moment, is 'expensive'
Because they're expensive to manufacture
and, in most cases, they're priced above their competitors.
One of the only cars that competes without incentives is the Tesla Model 3 in the US Market - where it's priced pretty similarly to the 3 series/Audi A4/Mercedes C class
base Model 3 is about the same as a 330i, long range is about the same as a 340i for example
(and bizarrely, the 330i is the base 3 series engine in the US)
i mean in comparison to similarly sized non-electric cars. ID.3 is 33k euros, Golf is 20.5k euros, Polo is 13.7k euros.
like sure, the configuration might be wildly different, but sadly, electric cars are just priced out of reach for many
i mean, 33k euros is one third of my apartment value 🤷♂️
Polo 13.7k
Base model starts at 20k here

Although 33k is like 10% of many apartments
Nah the RaRo isn't designed specifically for the American market
10%? More like 5%

Don't forget that EV's are cheap to run, and often retain their value fairly well. Since the battery and motor always have their own price.
For now they retain value, we shall see what happens when newer better technologies come out (for example solid state), cars get better range/charging speeds or if they appear to break after X time
Over 75% of cars sold new in my country or company cars etc, and ~10% is bought directly by private owners. And as we have big incentives on EV company cars...
Hell in 2019 1 in every 12 cars "sold" was a Model 3
(That number dropped by 90% tho in 2020
)
We have zero incentives
In fact, we even tried making a law where ev owners would have the equivalent of the gas tax
So far this year, the best selling car here had been the Kia Niro (with over 75% the e-Niro version) and Volvo XC40 (50/50 split between PHEV and EV)
I wish we had that
Except it was like 7c per km
That’s just absurd honestly, at least this early on
Us regular people pay crazy amounts of taxes on our used cars as we can't afford new cars
Rich people who can afford new cars don't pay any tax on their EV's
🧠
7c per km would mean I could drive 805km/month for what I pay monthly or ~9650km/year... Yeah a bit steep but not that crazy
I already pay almost €700/year for a small car
Hell I've seen people adopting EV's early as they "wanted to be green" and "make a difference".... But now the incentives aren't as good anymore (still there but less), the EV option is more expensive as the gas option so they switch back to gas

How hypocritical can you be
10 meters is still too close
Heck so is 20
At 35mph
Nothing like playing ets2 in a truck
Not a bad average for me.
I need to track mines in the saab and see how garbage it is
base model X is 99,990
without 7 seats
without autopilot
99 grand stares blankly
I kinda would get the 6 seater either way.
But the Model X is also stupid.
Also. 99,990 what? Rubles? Euro? Pound? Australian Dollar?
base tesla model x (long range) is 2929900 CZK, which is 115.21k EUR or $135.7k USD
Oh, having the six chairs is twice as much extra compared to the 7 seater.
Swedish kr for the Model X.
cause you know, poorer countries can afford paying more 😄
Oh, right. Anything that's sold in USA doesn't have the taxes included.
in the US it's 99,990
ya
well obviously there is the 20% VAT in EUR (more or less around that value), but still
used cars is where it's at
(if you can pay for more expensive repairs, then you can get something like this)
Just because you can afford to buy it.
Doesn't mean that you can afford to own it.
that is still twice the price of a brand new polo
(and yes, i know it is not the same category whatever)
just saying 😛
(and yes, that is with a 1L engine)
A brand new Polo is honestly a decent value offer.
american cars always have a terrible ccm/horsepower ratio for some reason
Torque.

obviously different standards
i bet if i configured our type of polo to german/dutch standard, it would cost same
Kek nope that's also the 1.0 MPI in base model
i mean internal stuff
the one sold here would be bellow the dutch standard kit
so i bet you get better infotainment, better seats, and so on
Exactly.
our 2013 F10 cost around 22k~
Although we could afford repairs if anything goes wrong
sure, but i mean what is "basis" feature set in Netherlands is probably 1 or 2 steps above what "basis" is in Slovakia 😄
Every time that start button gets pressed we pray nothing breaks lol
Could be, but we also just got an emissions tax which is already like €4k on a base Polo xD
I can't configure a Polo over here. Smh
to be fair, Polo is still not the budget option in my country 😄
there are stuff like Kia Picanto, starting from 10k euros
Dacia!
Yeah well check the base Dutch price:
12870 before tax
3542 emissions tax
~2700 in VAT
And then some "dealership costs" of 875
Dacia Sandero ftw
Dacia Sandero is 8.9k euros brand new
Great news!
LPG is a lot cheaper than normal gas, right?
it is hilarious what you get as a bonus in Essential vs Access 😄
Si
• 15 "steel wheels + ELMA wheel covers
• Front and rear bumper painted in body color
• Cruise control
• Central locking with remote control
• Automatic door locking after departure
• DAB radio with steering wheel control, integrated on - board display computers, 2 front speakers, Bluetooth connection + application for Dacia Media Control smartphone
😄
And the LPG model is actually cheaper to buy here
Front and rear bumper painted in body color
My favorite feature 😄

Totally worth going for the LPG version then. No brainer.
Yeah almost all Dacia's sold here are BiFuel
Access version:
• 15 "steel wheels + wheel covers ARGES
• LED daytime running lights and dipped headlights
• Power front windows
• Front airbag, side and head airbags driver / passenger
• ISOFIX mounting points
• ABS (anti-lock brake system) and EBA (Emergency Braking Assistant)
• Active emergency braking system (AEBS)
• ESP (electronic stability control) + HSA (Hill Start Assist)
• Stop & Start
• Speed limiter
• Light sensor
Road tax is a bit higher tho but you've regained the costs after like 3000km/year
Most Dutch versions are well equiped
BiFuel here is most known for Petrol/Ethanol.
i appreciate the manual trans options
manual transmission is the normal in EU
I think it's from the whole SAAB thing, they were one of the first ones to have engines with flex fuel sensors.
automatic is usually a paid feature
i joke about a manual transmission being a security system over here in the states
because i doubt most people know how to handle one
motorcycles seem to be the execption to that here
usually manual sequentials
they can't even handle watching for the road even if the car drives for them https://arstechnica.com/cars/2021/08/us-investigates-autopilot-after-11-teslas-crashed-into-emergency-vehicles/
Anti-theft device
to be fair, i don't get why we still don't have the electronically controlled transmission system (like in F1 cars) as norm, but whatever
i mean, it would still have both the benefit of being a manual transmission, while it would keep your hand on wheel at all times, plus there would be less of a chance of missing the gear
i imagine those electronic systems are expensive
and my desire for manuals is pretty much getting away from electronic nonsense in the first place
but thats my personal preference
Complexity and costs probably
^
are we really talking about complexity when cars are not shipped because they are so full of chips anyway that they have problems getting those chips ? 😄
oh yeah they are too riddled with chips
but
at least your transmission would be less complicated
i was curious about statistics of transmission usage and i stumbled over this
stuff that never occurred to me as ive only used late 80s toyota stick shifts
Can you give us a TLDR? xD
saab really hates low speed 2nd gear, could be because the engine is pissing petrol out the exhaust.
TLDR: Americans are not buying transmissions. New automatic transmission is better than new manual transmission sold in US.

just something to keep me a little bit more engaged
Nothing new. Automatics are better in most cases
Im often driving while tired which is not ideal but I imagine the manual helps with keeping me focussed.
so long as not a pos old car
I'm specifically talking about newer cars
Driving manual definently keeps you more focused. I also find that aggressive driving does the same thing
dont they intentially make the manuals worse in some aspects or something
Kinda wanna see an 8 speed manual
'worse' - they do not make it worse, just not putting much effort into it (in US)
There's not much else to improve in a manual at this point.
And people have been clamoring for comfort over the years. Which I have to admit my Corolla is about as comfy a manual experience as I can ask for.
Expected from the base 5.0
for an everyday commuter car i would rather have an automatic tbh. but for a fun car or a sports car i would rather have a manual, unless there is no manual option
How is the 5.0 "pretty slow!?"
Expectations. I guess. And limited comparisons.
base 5.0 mustang being slow is a wild take to me
As someone who has only ever driven manuals
I want an automatic
much harder to drink coke or eat snacks while driving a manual, especially at low speeds
I forget which car this is (Hyundai Santa Fe I think?) has a DCT combined with a hybrid
so the electric motor does the slow speed stuff that DCTs are less good at
That sounds like a pretty optimal transmission. Speed of shifts and precision of a DCT, without the low speed herky jerkyness
I've learned to eat and shift manual at da same time
my wife gets uneasy if I like steer with my legs and shift with my wrong hand 😂
Do being on the side of no eating while driving
I shift with foor in hand
I haven't ever driven an auto anything, so not sure how long it would take me to get used to
but I definitely want my next car to be automatic
Yeah I don't think there is a lot of choice in da future
Can't even get a golf r variant in manual 👀
Swap
That car is a rollercoaster, i loved to see a golf r variant - its auto only - it looks ugly - its kinda growing on me - why is everything touch
The point of the new Golf R variant
is to make the last gen one cheaper
The Mk 7.5 Golf R variant is pretty much a perfect car
it's a sports car, and a family car, that's easy to park, can fit tons of stuff in, isn't super flashy, is really fast, reasonably economical, with a nice interior
It isn't even too far off an s4 for 15k€ less
With a bigger trunk and more economical engine
in a car that's easier to park/drive through narrow european streets
oh and by the way has 4WD so is also fine in the snow
Yeah... Snow sounds rare to me.
We rarely have snow, and my FWD piece of crap Seat Leon has always been fine
Yeah. The new Golf R has better AWD tech than the 7.5
Still do be laughing at bmw drivers not getting out of the parking spots in my hometown 👀
where you based?
South bavaria, we only get like 2-4 weeks of snow in the last couple years but well tourists are the funny part about that
Man i miss winters with 1+ meters of snow for 3-4 months
DAF
Hold on. I can also do one.
wat da
our car gives 19 kpl so i would be happy if you could convert the numbers
Had to deal with this for a week
Man watching American Youtubers reviewing these cars as towing vehicles and they've all got 6.7L V8s so they can tow 6000lbs
in the UK, a 2L turbo Land Rover Discovery is rated to tow 7700lbs (3500Kg), which is the max you can tow on a non commercial licence
What American car has a 6.7 liter?
Pretty sure those truck can haul much much much more than 10k pounds
honestly could have probably undone them without the ratchet and just a extension, pretty loose
I think my car can haul bout 1k pound
I think so
If only i can take a picture but i lost my camera
Welp, pump is on its way out. I filled up with coolant like 2 days ago and it was on the low mark already
Shitbox problems
But damn it looks good
Speed camera after blind summit but im doing 50 anyway as my wheel shakes over that
How long do customs take in the UK
probably too long
I'm already waiting 4 hours and they told me that they might have to it ready tomorrow
broxit
Probably did pay but forgot paperwork sheet 336 of 722
Worst part? You're probably paid by the mile.
I need help
can I stream someone a game and that person tells me what I'm doing wrong in a race
I'm trying to learn how to race without tcs and abs
@fathom socket I guess my biggest tip is
"Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast."
Can we talk about F1 here?
The Ford and RAM pickup trucks that have engines displacing 6.7 liters are in fact diesel. And can tow up to 35,000 lbs depending on the vehicle configuration.
Yeah if you get an Amarok you get it for the diesel V6
They do have diesel options, but the majority they sell are petrol
The American mega trucks are starting to have these 10 speed autos
which they put in a Mustang which is LOL
but in a truck it means you have really good low ratios
No clue if European automakers use the SAE standard for towing, but American truck makers do.
The testing is pretty rigorous considering it's essentially a torture test.
My condolences
The 2.0 is a horrendous engine in the Amarok, and unreliable as heck
Even VW noticed it and switched to the 3.0 TDI
80 is the limit to trailers
80 kmh is the limit with trailers here.
Weight wise. Then it depends a lot on your vehicle.
i bloomin hate modern cars
high beam blocked by the washer filler pipe, sorta doable. dipped beam blocked by the coolant tank impossible.
just unbolted the coolant tank and moved it out the way.
truly wacky times when you could change a bulb without tools
all the space and hm yes right fucking here
80 km/h or 100 km/h with special technical requirements
Which car is that?
Trucks (Actual trucks) can't even go 100 kmh here in Sweden.
hyundai i30
How is your daily driving time doing?
Still have some spare time
But Im taking a break
did you enjoy driving on the correct side of the road
Better than Germany
Just the M25 was shite
so many truckers have left one of the companys we used called courier connections that we cant ship to some areas of the UK with them
other companies offering more money
no one to take their place
They told me they need drivers to UK
And also because I speak English really well
They most likely send me to work fro UK and Ireland clients
Also
I got a pause at welcome break from and I came to this
Why in a public restroom
Sounds like North Dakota
Complaining about trucks not being able to go over 100km/h... Meanwhile 🇳🇱 is like "Between 6AM and 7PM, the speed limit is 100km/h for any vehicle"

Barren Arizona highways have limits at like 75mph
Cruising @ 90 in a FiST
It's 80mph at the other times here
And it used to be 80mph all day long
But they changed it last year fOr ThE eNvIroNmEnT
Road trains aren't a thing here 😢
whats the highedt speed limit in your countrys?
Mini road train
Anything over 80 is wasteful
Mph at any rate
Not really
75 vs 85?
And how much more would you spend in gas per week?
How much money?
Find a job closer to home
Anyway. My point stands. Slower driving within reason is more fuel efficient.
Where is my logic flawed?
¯_(ツ)_/¯
And your edge case anecdote isn't?
So you work all the time?
That sounds shit
So you work just a bit over 10 hours a day?
What a weird work schedule.
my man... you are making 7 dollars an hour?
I don't care how young/old/driven you are. Take it easy yo.
Yeah, I get ya, but dunno about the upsidedownland, but in the US job market is fairly hot right now.
ah, 35 an hour, not 35 over 5 hours.
Well 5 hours of work time 35$
forgive me for misreading, but it read like this.
Also I don't trust the average American to drive fast safely.
Either running up my rear like they're about to ram me, not signaling lane changes, or just fucking cutting me off like they're all still on their permits.
It's bad everywhere.
Be it city or rural.
City people can't drive sanely, and rural people can't drive with traffic.
Suburban traffic is ... worse?
oh they just run stops
In America we just call our insurance ahead of time, and hit the gas.
okay not really, but I wanted to say that
I mean... yeah.
Pass sooner than not.
bought black grille trim for my car
guessing an ad that has a 1999 mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 for $3500 is a scam?
cause it seems like its in pretty good condition, ad mentions nothing about any problems
Really hate BYD buses
I hate BYDs in general
we bought a BYD F3 for fun before and it was the worst car we ever drove
Ah kek you have the BYD Electric bus
Here they only use VDL Citea Electric's, and those are quite nice
I am sitting in a Citea right now
Idk Haven't used public transport in probably like 9 years, but I'd rather be in a VDL than a BYD xD
Was a short ride of about 15 min
And now I am in the criminal capital of the Netherlands
Where the police even can’t catch up the noobiest shoplifters
I will be sitting in an ICE at 330km/h in October
wouldnt recommend sitting in the engine myself.
German Railways Is fucked
why?
When rail is down the bus ride will be 2,5 hours
i mean yeah the prices are but thats it
I'm shocked and appalled to learn that German busses are slower than German trains
It is rail replacement bus
Even a car ride is faster
ngl i dont see the problem, rails need maintenance
Makes sense
In Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden buses can get a permit to drive 100 km/h instead of 80 with some technical requirements (such as stronger brakes, seat belts, no standing places and ABS)
But they use horrible city buses that may go 80 max and it was very loud and noisy on that replacement bus
should've engaged ramming speed
😏
Me neither tbh
Lol
But I like the car
I really don't know why FIAT still exists
Bread and butter brand of Italy
VW has ceased the selling of their famous currywurst in their canteens
Well on fiat is more than just fiat
Driving in Wales was fun
And sat nav told me that I need to take ferry to Ireland and then take ferry to UK to exit the trailer drop-off
we've got new flyers here because hee hoo canada
they're pretty alright but that's probably because i haven't experienced enough other buses
also that's a shame; how come? is it permanent? are they still gonna sell them to grocers?
even if cadillac's been feeling more washed-up than ever before, it's still a name with literally a century of legacy; that's gotta be worth something, right?
why'd pontiac have to go, anyway; they're so much fuckin cooler than all the other GM marques
vehicle
ive decided to buy a 110K mile E60 M5 and replace the rod bearings, get a sc kit and a catless dp for it as well as a trans tune
all of that together should be under 50K
and im ready for it
225 mph, here i come

Tesla Model S Plaid review! The Tesla Model S Plaid is tremendously impressive, and today I'm going to show you what makes it so amazing. First I'll take you on a thorough tour of the Plaid and show you all its quirks and features, then I'll get it out on the road and drive the Plaid for a full rev...
lmao the reaction (link has timestamp)

Sooo we are at the point now that you need an instruction manual to figure out how to operate the car because every manufacturer decides too many buttons, and messes with the controls of basic functions 👀
I have i10 only lol
You call that unpaved
And you are going too fast
And it was raining
didnt say that was unpaved.
But tooooo fast
nah
What was the speed
tis a straight line without large amounts of standing water.
Seems like twice as much as we drive in india
We usually don't go above 40kmph
When my father was driving at 80kmph on a better road than yours I was freaking scared
Well one reason is that's it's india and people can appear anywhere
And cows and scooty
I am seeing like 20 car's rn
my little 185's on my saab are good at displacing water due to having such a little surface area
Mine is 155/80 R13
my little mazda has 195's
Lower is better for water?
to a point yeah
Old Cadillac is cool, new Cadillac not so much
This model has been my daily for a long time
I don't have a sunroof tho
overtaking with a lhd truck in uk is fun
I always have to slowly turn to right lane because a lot of cars are in my blindspot
It’s awesome, transmission is very mechanical
I was in the passenger seat when I took the speedo picture
I am not using my phone @ 70 mph
LOL
I need to glue the knob on because it is loose
it is most certainly not a gated shifter either heh
oil 10% petrol
So powerful it put the camera upside-down
Another FIAT to the trash bin 😆😆
One thing I appreciate with my Corolla is the shifter is pretty damn nice.
Tall, but it's fairly close to the steering wheel.
Rip Grande Punto
Way better than the Polo or something you could get at the time
And great timeless design
You wouldn't say that that specific car was already 15 years old
Dankpad
A Italian friend said to me that FIAT means Fermati Imbecille Abbiamo Tamponato, which means: Stop idiot, We crashed
that's brilliant
Fiasco In AutoTechniek a.k.a Car Engineering Fiasco
We had a 2010 Punto Evo 1.3 M-Jet, great little car
20.000 times better as the 2010 Polo 1.2 TDI
No longer need for MOT ( Engels woord voor APK). It is already no longer drivable 😆😆😆
ive had 2 incidents with them being yikes so I will have to say bad
over here there was a saying you don't buy F cars. That means Ford, FIAT, French 😄
I always wanted to do that
How easy was it for you to get C license with code 95?
96?
I have C+E with 95
I mean 95
Code 96 can only assigned to B license and have something to do with trailers
I have b+e, so I don't think it's necessary idk
But was it easy for you to get your license?
I got it founded from EU, and the code 95 wasn't difficult
But the c+e was
And also the c would be difficult because the examiner tried to put me in multiple traps
you forgot and fast
If I remember right. Then it's that you're allowed to tow somewhat heavier trailers with your normal car.
With a combined total weight of 4,250 kg?
B96, as it's called.
BE allows you to trailer whatever much the towing vehicle is allowed to.
Up to 3,500 kg for the towing vehicle, and 3,500 kg for the trailer.
Oh you're australian too!
its hard driving on this side of the world, really messes with the brain.
What ever your GVM is for your car and the rated towing its legally allowed to tow
You cant go over your GCM
My ute has a GVM of 2998kg and a towing compactly of 2500kg braked. so what max of 5.5 Ton?
people regularly exceed their vehicles rating here heh
Yeah. 5.5 tonnes. But then there's a bunch of other stuff to keep in mind. How the load is placed on the trailer, etc.
Tongue weight.
A lot of people forget that one
In USA, they are super forgiving on that one. If I remember right.
E39 towing a E39 with a unbraked trailer 👍
its like 750kg you can only tow with no brakes haha
Here in Sweden, it's like <10% of the trailer's weight.
Our 750 kg trailers are braked.
Well, at least some.
The trailer had brakes but them actually functioning
If it has this in the front. That means it's a trailer with brakes.
Dawned on me not too long ago how they work.
should be able to tap into the reverse light to be smarts myes
Yeah
But I think its one of those ones that when you slow down it compresses the brakes
I think, dont get me wrong
Yeah, it is. As the trailer pushes on the towing vehicle. It brakes itself.
You see them a lot on hiring trailers and gensets
got some redex for me saab and a new fuel filter. ill pray and hopefully it will stop running so rich it pisses fuel out the exhaust
saab kindly didnt include a schrader valve to test fuel pressure so it would literally be cheaper for me to buy the part than the adapters to connect a gauge.
I'd rock this.
could also be a faulty maf or o2 sensor or a bad injector
I popped some redex in my mini and it seemed to do something
expected either nothing to happen or my engine to just go boom after 30 mins
i love supercharger whine lol
So sad :'(
Idk why I have feelings for this car like it was waiting for it's new owner to drive it but the dealership got abandoned and the car looks out the window watching other cars being driven. That's why I felt bad for it lol
my code was for the maf sensor
will be a few days before I get cleaner because ofcourse nowhere has it
nice car photos
lmao holy crap
What do y'all think about KW suspension
Which make and model of the camera?
This is an evo I believe
Looks like it's revving up to 11k rpm
Or just has a broken tachometer
fd be good
Rotary
canon EOS rebel T8i
aka canon EOS 850D
it is indeed
those pops are just super weird when it shifts
bet that clutch wont see tomorrow
On a cold engine too. Look at that temp gauge move
3k for a clapped out one
which is usually its de facto state these days
Miata supremacy
No
I think that's the misfiring system
.
The pops
It keeps the turbo engaged
It's a system u find in rally cars
And the evo was at the forefront of rallying
It's also known as anti lag
I have Sony ILCA68 (Digital) and Minolta Dynax 5000i (Analog(Maxxum 5000i in the US))
Anyone else noticed the Tesla runs and 1080 P And has input lag that’s only 2.1 seconds
Lol XD
Helped my dad put a Lightbar on his truck sometime earlier in the month
More than two words: they do a lot of things right and als a lot of things more than wrong but them acting like apple makes me hate them
And id prefer hydrogen cars over battery, even tho there isnt much yet and probably won't come a lot 👀
Well the honest solution to pollution would be less cars not just replace them with electric, hydrogen or synthetic fuel cars but it seems like nobody wants to accept it
Ew
Like in Cities Skylines
I have like 30 bus and train connections and peppel still like driving cars
EVERY CAR in India is DOUBLE its original price
Cities should have COVID pandemic DLC
BMW E46 cons: p a i n
both of those cars will break
and both will be extremely painful to repair
e46 isnt terrible
likely needy for parts unless you get one with decent history, but atleast its super easy to get stuff for them. here atleast.
Price remains a concern
Everyone should take an example of vienna... Its not the biggest of cities, but you can reach everything with public transport. And a ticket for an entire year (currently subjet to change for the worse) is 365€... This is how public transport should work
Witch in usd is
That fucking ridiculous
Not really... Its 1€ per day...
And there are 28 tram lines 42 bus lines 5 underground lines (another one currently being built) and many train lines included in that
if we implemented something like that in the US, it would be adjusted to $365 USD. Lol.
Yeah... Students here pay 70 per year... But that also includes the neighboring lower austria and Burgenland
Anyone have experience with grid chargers for Hybrids? More specifically a 07 Honda Civic Hybrid. Looking into them to find out the best and somewhat cheapest solution before spending the $1k+ for a whole new battery
anyone here got a Saab?
I'm looking at getting an OG93
I went from UK to Netherlands and now I got to Ireland from France
Golf
Well both cars are Maruti Suzuki 800 0.8L and i10 1.2L
Reminder to self: don't ever go down there
And if forced: car broken, car stays broken i ain't touching it 👀
well judging by your name
im assuming you are actually in australia
which if that is the case you should be used to having a permanent family of spiders on like every surface around you
xD
nahh
keep a can of brake clean with you
ive found that to be very effective on pests
xD
best part is it evaporates so no mess
well except for the bug you just killed

americans say its "fookin ridiculus" but then will proceed to shell out 4 grand a year and be in student loan for most of their life
"economic freedom" my ass if i cant get from point a to b for a normal price not to mention you have to buy a car in the first place
americans say its "fookin ridiculus" but then will proceed to shell out 4 grand a year and be in student loan for most of their life
That too... in Austria university is like 500 to 1000 per semester
Same as what i pay on car tax alone
Probably be pretty far over £1k in fuel if covid wasnt a thing
Oh, right. I have kept track of my fuel bill for about a year now.
35,000 SEK worth of fuel.
SpiritMonitor
It's fun
I use FillUp. Doesn't need any specifical permissions or an account

Something about supercharger whines is so nice
Innocent sound masking a beast
Vredestein, quality tires
it is hilarious to watch american car crash videos and see a minor fender bender, followed by 'totaled' description. I guess manual labor is so expensive in US that anything outside of minor scratches is considered as a write-off by insurance companies ?
Either they're not uninsured or it's just a clickbait title
they mean insurance 'totals' the car. that means the price for fixing is more than the remaining value of the car.
well and
my cadillac for example
on the used market its like 1100 to 1500 usd
and when it was hit repairs would have been 3k usd for just cosmetic damage
insurance wanted to total it and give it a salvage title
even though it was literally still 100% drivable
When you have fully comp insurance but your cars value is ~£500 and your excess is £550
Id have third party only but its more expensive because #makessense
I tell my insurance I think its worth £1200 because I get cheaper quotes than if I give it its hard lowball value of £500 :^)
professional vacuum leak finding smoke machine
my whole 52m2 apartment with a parking spot and 3m2 balcony cost me 107k euros. Meanwhile you will pay one third of that for school
Our new cooper gets like 42 average
you didn't said AUD :P. Anyway, it is always trading price of one thing for another
we got expensive fuel, but cheap property taxes for example
these imperial units are so confusing
in EU we say how many liters per 100km
i think the typical EU car does like 5-6 liters per 100km, that is 39-47 mpg ?
(i mean typical gas/diesel car)
don't even get me started on weird american engines
"let's have a 3.5 liter engine which has less horsepower than an EU 1.2 liter engine"
just checked random Toyota Corolla
US: 2.0L 4-Cylinder Dynamic Force Engine with 168 hp
EU: 1.2L 115hp
😄
meanwhile the Formula 1 cars have 1.6L engines with dual turbos and around 1k horsepower
actually no
$10.5M is the cost of an F1 engine
whole car is $12-$13M
you are probably confusing car costs with yearly budgets, which are now capped at $140M (or so) btw
but that includes everything of F1 team with exception of the driver salaries
so it is everything from boss and engineer salaries down to the cleaning lady salary; also cost for producing every part, wind tunnel loaning costs, electricity, everything
i would love to watch australian car racing series, but the timezones are cruel
watching US sports alone is already very taxing
the one in preview picture is actually very stupid
how can one make a sport series from 'cars' which are always on edge of tripping themselves over; probably enough for the driver to fart wrong way to put those on side/roof 😄
for a while i had a chevy tahoe with a 5.3L v8 that made 355 hp 😂
it didnt have a lot of horsepower for the size but it sounded pretty good
veee eight moturrrr
my 6.2 litre V8 produces one hundred an twen-y-eight horsepurr
Just needed to true up some bad tires on the van. Gotta love the Ecoboost!
what the shit? Why would you ever need that?
I paid for the whole damn tank, I'm going to use it all!
I've only run out of fuel... a few times.... 😉
Would have helped me before. When putting a strut back in i couldnt due to it sitting too long.
I strapped a metal bar to the lower control arm and stood on it. Used massive hefty zipties, broke a few.
yeah It just sits outside... mocking me, due to lack of time and lack of cbf, and it's been bloody cold, so screw that!
I worked out recently that the X3M (because it has a massive motor and a tiny fuel tank) actually has less EPA rated range than a Tesla Model Y
Yikes
from what year is that engine? We usually have that number form like 1.2 liter 3 or 4 cylinders
ive mentioned it before but my 6.6L v8 for my firebird is rated at 180hp and like 320 foot pounds
but its also a smog era engine from 79
@eager grove
Yeah, I'd heard of that engine
I don't think I know of any V8s that only put out 128hp, even from the 70s
fellow south australian
dont worry
new heads
new intake
new crank/rods/pistons
400hp at least
with maybe 50-100hp shots of nitrous
:)
trying to not make it too crazy so its still a good t-top off cruiser
lol my old car with a 1.6L i4 produced 110 hp
107 pound feet/ 140+Nm
31 City / 39 Hwy km
11kg per HP
121mph top speed
top model of the same car has 126HP 1.8L
