Driving without PS can wear the rack quickly. My last Buick I drove without PS for a month. By the time I fixed it (blown hose) the rack was so worn I had 30 degrees of play in the wheel. A week later a truck driving in the wrong lane (incoming traffic) hit me and totalled the car.

#

The insurance company said it was my fault because I should have avoided the truck even though he was driving westbound in an eastbound lane.

#

Don't take my advice but anyone in Manitoba Canada who wants a new car just drive down the wrong lane until someone hits you.

The only reason the GT-86 and Supra exist is because Toyota split development costs.

Camaro is dying out, the Charger/Challenger haven't switched platforms since introduction, and the Civic lost it's unique engine.

I'm beyond out of my depth if I'm honest. Best recommendation I can make is either check with a local mechanic, or check a few French forums.

Or just unplug the thing, and use a key to unlock it.

#

I'm guess this thing is French and you are in France?

#

Or UK?

halcyon bluff

Okay joking aside.

#

If you can deal with autotranslate issues, a French forum might still be your best bet, unless these things are common enough to have a following in your area.

halcyon bluff
#

the problem is i dont think french forums would help me, because it's not the original connector ...

Tesla finally confirms Cybertruck electric pickup is delayed to 2022

Tesla has now finally confirmed that the Cybertruck electric pickup truck is delayed to 2022 after months of hinting at the possible delay in reaching production. My Dad has an Electric car, and has only used a charging station once. Once you have 250 miles of range it becomes a matter of stopping longer than you normally would, not more often. In any non model X Tesla you can drive for like 9 or 10 hours on like 3 stops totalling less than an hour—how often are you road tripping where you need better range than that

#

A model Y performance has more EPA rated range than a BMW X3M, slightly hilariously

civic girder
#

Ironically though, most EVs are hilariously inefficient for what they are. Single speed transmissions work fine, but you could probably improve range with varying ratios

#

Spinning the electric motor at the rpm required to sustain higher speeds will suck more power. But when you have a 2nd or 3rd gear for cruising, you're not spinning the motor as fast; thus consuming less electricity

#

And Teslas in general are just bad buys. Low quality for the price, exceptionally bad resale value, worthless service, overhyped like the 2jz, and have a basic design that gives you the feel the car should cost half as much as it does

#

A base model 2022 Toyota Corolla is more premium looking and feeling than any Tesla

#

Beyond that, EVs presently don't provide a significant benefit over a mild hybrid (such as a Toyota Prius or Honda Insight). Sure with the hybrids you still have to stop at a gas station, but they have more range than most EVs and are certainly more premium than a Tesla.

#

Until EVs cost the same, or only marginally more (similar to mild hybrids compared to gas only models), the cost isn't really worth it if you aren't a weirdo who hardly ever leaves home and doesn't go very far when you do

#

1 hour stops on an already 7 or 8+ hour road trip is horrible. Stopping for gas once or twice would only consume maybe 30 minutes total if you also went to the bathroom and grabbed snacks at the same time.

#

I have easily made 7 hour road trips on a single tank of gas in multiple hybrid cars
