Tbh your brakes are already upgraded to max tier maybe if they're warped

I actually got to see polestar

copper oyster

Basically new meta for drill/slot disks is just warp them

stiff minnow
#

Pretty sure those are test units

flint sable

Imagine living in Deutschland

flint sable

They were at a dealer

And the bronco sport has been out for how long?

stiff minnow

oh nvm cause i live in canada so they aint available

flint sable
#

Ohh makes sense now

copper oyster
#

Ahh Autobahn vids. Some guy filming going 180kmh. Then a car passes him at mach7

#

Like 200kph but the passing car still too blurry to even see what it is bc looks to be another 150. If you do the math...

#

Imagine driving so fast that your tank will empty in 20 min but it's ok because the tyres will go in 15

copper oyster
low carbon

maybe i should ask if he can take $70 off asking price

copper oyster

Lol no 490$ off

low carbon

copper oyster

copper oyster

True fck you're right

low carbon

copper oyster
#

I agree though. Ask to take 100% price off and not include pretty much retail 2019 bimmer

low carbon
#

that makes no sense

copper oyster
#

Well yeah just get nothing for free

#

instead of like 69k 2019 bmw. 240i is such a pissoff too

#

Like almost 420i but not quite...

low carbon
#

if you look at the number plate youll realise that this isnt america

#

us$50285

copper oyster
#

The key is to buy a bimmer like that and M badge

low carbon
#

also imagine buying a 420i

#

how much of a poser do you have to be to buy an m sport bmw without a decent engine

copper oyster
#

Lol I have a story actually

#

My buddy knows some kid whose parents got him one in highschool for like 16th or whatever. He 'M'ed it lol. Entire school loled

low carbon
#

inb4 'oh i live in europe a 16d is more than enough'

copper oyster
#

But then his parents ended up trading it in and got him real M... 🤷‍♂️

#

I guess it's ok to rice and pose, so long as your parents have enough money to just replace riced car.

#

As for m-ing, I'm not sure. Can't you buy the real badge and upgrade them with the parts. Then you have the body kit. Pretty sure m's have diff bodies

#

Then something about assembly line for m class

low carbon
#

if you have enough money you can turn a 318d into an m3

copper oyster
#

m3 diesel

#

I hear all you need is turbo diesel + 4wd van and you're set

#

But w/e it's the current year; who cares about M. One cut me off a while back. So I just jump drive'd ahead of them in 0.000ms in my crappy 2.3T

#

Thing is I was lighter. That bimmer's problem was it couldn't manually downshift pogchamp

#

I even got 2 more cars ahead shoulder ended right there. Next 1.5mi they all drove behind me on 1 lane hwy as I did 23kmph

flint sable
#

Yikes

#

We got an F10 M5 for under 25

copper oyster
#

Can't you get that one year porsche carrera for under 25 as well?

#

Apparently because the headlights look wrong or something. I fkn hate all of them tbh

ember dove

copper oyster

Yeah goes to show where the drivers' of those cars priorities stand 😛

ember dove

I mean I wouldn't want to own too many cars I consider ugly

copper oyster

Nah it's more than that. Just the design and how they handle, etc. It's all wrong to me

low carbon
dense shard
#

The 996 Carrera is bottoming out in price... doesn't mean they're cheap.

#

Give em a decade, and they'll be super expensive again.

ember dove
#

get em while they're cheaper than a turbo mr2 lol

dense shard
#

And more expensive to keep running.

#

Old MR2s had their budget days.

ember dove
#

oh they're having them right now

copper oyster
#

I used to not be such a hater. Then that day we got news about Paul Walker (Rest in peace!!)...

ember dove
#

besides turbos

dense shard
#

One day FT86s and BRZs will also bottom out in price... then shoot back up.

copper oyster
#

My brain hit 420C when I read the car they were in

dense shard
#

Porsche didn't kill Paul Walker.

#

When you drive a decade old car on decade old tires... a car notable for being finicky...

copper oyster
#

All I know about those cars is don't go too fast and drop clutch gently without gas on first lmao

ember dove
#

while drunk

copper oyster
#

a car notable for being finicky

#

Yeah exactly. Anyways yeah I'm talking crap I mean it is what it is

#

Kobe Bryant like took the chopper everywhere each day I heard.

#

Choppers aren't as safe as planes but for both, if you multiply the odds by using as much as a car...

#

Same w sports car + that scenario.

#

We should all just drive fkn tesla models locked on autopilot on minority report lol

#

Only risk is another autopilot bus cutting you off and deploying robots that went sentient

dense shard
#

Autopilot hasn't proven to be safer.

copper oyster
#

Oh I defs am scared of it right now. I mean ideally like in the movie

#

Heck even no more police chases because it forces you to pull over lmao

#

IRL yeah I'll always be skeptical. As I always said: would suck to be driving with steering through nothing but wire

dense shard
#

There are a few cars that do that already.

copper oyster
#

then hear 3 chimes: usb driver fails

dense shard
#

Infiniti being a notable example.

copper oyster
#

Yeah new civics I tried. It's horrible. Small plastic thing that doesn't even turn out fully in either direction. Whole thing feels wrong. Like a gran turismo controller kekwhat

inland moth

Like the did in the one when he did while they were filming the movie?

copper oyster
#

For 7 yeah it was his brother + effects for a big portion. Something like that

inland moth
#

It stinks how he died and how they had to change the whole plot and story up

inland moth
#

He looked semi like him.

#

I mean it’s like making Liam Hemsworth Thor.

copper oyster
#

Tbh if anybody's gonna drop a car from like L2 orbit and land on volcano it's defs the rock

inland moth
#

It would look kinda lime Chris but different.

inland moth
#

Vin would land the thing from mars lol.

copper oyster
#

Mmm.. idk though

inland moth
#

Vin and the rock don’t get along though.

#

On set.

#

But I don’t like how they killed Han.

#

:(

#

And Lucas Black has just aged too much.

copper oyster
#

Remember when they were street racing kids on supra and jacking dvd players though?

inland moth
#

Lol yeah.

copper oyster
#

Then the rock and jason statham showed up. Obviously we know what that means

inland moth
#

Yes.

#

Fast and furious went from street racers to action movie.

#

Vroom vroom to boom boom.

#

Lol Don’s kid when he grows up...

#

Son, your mother died from some psycho woman...

#

And my old wife that I thought died is still alive...

#

So I was cheating on my wife with your mom and you are the accident.

copper oyster
#

Lol and after the whole spiel up to the carrier jet and tanks:
It all started with a ten sec car

inland moth
#

And they have like 20+ gears in their cars.

inland moth

Lol the engine on the challenger though.

#

It’s so big idk how he sees.

#

Watch them make a side series with planes...

#

Fast and furious.

#

More like flying furious.

#

Now imma go now.

copper oyster
#

The last one I think finally did it in for me. Vin Diesel's main objective, meditation, and purpose in life was family. Now you expect me to believe that he never mentioned some long lost brother and they hate each other

inland moth
#

Bye.

copper oyster
#

Lol later

inland moth
#

Lol.

#

And it’s John Cena.

#

Like wtf.

#

And vin doesn’t look remotely close to Cena.

copper oyster
#

Btw it's probably better you don't see what's happening in that challenger 😆

inland moth
#

The rock looks more like vin.

copper oyster
#

Yeah exactly lmao that's what I mean. They brought in the rock just because he's bigger buffer bald guy than vin

#

If vin diesel can instantly stop an engine block suspended with one hand

#

now you need someone who can call in like airstrike on someone just by looking at them

copper oyster
#

I feel like Jamiroquai just got next music video for single

#

Must drive down road. Headlights have to open and close at least once briefly. For bonus points, pair with that laser beam sound effect

Tbh it's ok. 50s sports cars had basically that but didnt retract. 24/7 round headlight

but in a way where it still works backwards; just not forward

sturdy solar

Whuut

I know they draw hot air from the flue so it can be reused for heating, it's how they can achieve 95% efficiency

The PVC loses less heat than the standard aluminum, so more heat gets taken back in.

But why use pvc, so less heat goes to the pipe?

@spiral crescent Was looking at Cadillac or Lincoln but went with the Buick. Wanted the Lincoln for the revel audio since they’re known for stupid expensive speakers but the car was already bought when I got there. Cadillac back seats didn’t come down which I needed for my 5 foot tall speakers. So the Buick was the choice. Later on I’ll get a crossover, upgrade the Buick to a Cadillac and then choose a sports car to fool around with. Felt the Buick was on par with either brand.

spiral crescent

The Buick’s are gorgeous. Always have a hard time telling the lacrosse from the regal though?

The regal tends to have sporty lines.

I’d definitely agree, looking at them side by side now. For me I needed one car to do it all because of space concerns. The CTS is fun to drive, comfortable enough, and I’m happy with the mid level Bose system which probably makes me like, uncultured swine

Imagine living outside of the EU and actually being allowed to long-term save stuff from a dashcam and even post it in the internet without risking a lawsuit.

charred depot
#

huh is that the case in the EU now?

fathom socket
#

Its for a few years already. In Germany for example dashcams are not officially allowed installations in vehicles as long as it can permanently save data.

#

And saving data of dashcams in the long term contradicts with some form of the european data laws.

#

Especially when the footage includes license plates, names and people faces. thats a break of privacy laws. 😄

charred depot
#

beh i have no expectation of privacy when outside

fathom socket
#

Everything within your car is considered your "home" by law. If you're allowed to be naked at home, you're allowed to be naked in the car... As long as it doesnt influence the safety of yourself or others in the traffic.

Sounds like drone type laws lmao

whats your street view like

Saving those data is commiting a crime. Publishing the data is an aggravated crime.

you get a lot more performance

#

but it's the same money

#
stoic ledge
#

Passat is a better driving car tho

#

Well depends on what you want from it

eager grove
#

Octavia is not quite so gigantic though, which is appealing

#

but the back end looks crap

stoic ledge
#

Octavia RS drives more sporty, Passat is more of a long distance cruiser

low carbon
#

Yeah

stoic ledge
#

Brainfart while typing lol

eager grove
#

the performance on that one is like the same as the passat

#

I'm definitely after 'cruiser' more than sporty

low carbon
#

Nah

eager grove
#

Same power output more or less

#

little more power, considerably less weight

low carbon
#

Trust me that generation EA888 is far more refined than the ones used in the B7s

stoic ledge
#

The chassis of the Octavia is more tuned towards handling

eager grove
#

I don't know the generations to even know which you're talking about

#

does that mean it's stiffer?

stoic ledge
#

Yeah

#

But Zach is talking about the engine family 👀

eager grove
#

What I really want is a Golf all track

low carbon
#

I speak from experience

eager grove
#

there was a petrol one of those for sale last year

charred depot
#

neighbours got a Superb estate

#

it heavy

low carbon
#

JDM ones are 180hp 1.8 turbo

eager grove
#

Yeah it was a Aussie import

#

same engine, but they'd chipped it to 212HP

#

when it was icy he was struggling to get up the hill

eager grove
#

The Passat is a bigger car than I want really

charred depot
#

also eats through tyres

low carbon
#

Good 0-100 tho

eager grove
#

Which is that?

#

Octavia VRS?

low carbon
#

272hp superb

eager grove
#

oh dope

charred depot
#

they had relatively new mazdas before then swapped over to skodas

low carbon
#

They look great but interior looks old

eager grove
#

The latest generation skodas look great

stoic ledge
#

I don't like the S k o d a lettering, I rather see a badge

Kodiaq RS is a diesel no?

#

Or is it different over there

#

Starting from a mere €65k OMEGALUL

low carbon
#

Diesel

#

500nm diesel suits an SUV more than a <400nm petrol

stoic ledge
#

€35k in Germany 👀 Yeah for that price it's a great car

low carbon
#

35k would be poverty spec tho

#

Or are you talking used?

stoic ledge
#

That's the price for a German RS, idk what the spec is for a German Kodiaq RS

#

No a new Kodiaq RS

low carbon
#

I ordered mine with everything bar heated windscreen and family pack

#

The equivalent would be far more than €35k, plus order books are closed

stoic ledge
#

Heated windscreen 👀 I'd take that 😛

Useless in NZ
