understeeeeeer must commit to turn
Not always
My car goes "silent fan noises"
wish i had a cctv cam myself to show the citroen c1 that decided the gritted grooves were not for them
they opted for the like 5" deep snow
i believe the grooves were based around a ford rangers track width so maybe slightly too far apart for them heh
U didn't crash :0
noh, i wont do that around a corner i cant see around though
not the worst just the least expected
just needs slammed on stock worn shocks then it will have unlimited traction :^)
Tfw, your power steering pump is louder than your exhaust
that means you can go round corners faster
if i cut the springs then they are factory springs and i dont have to declare it to insurance 🧠
that long crank, oof
Those steps through the snow are satisfying tho
seeems legit to me
if the police pull you over here and you have choppies your car gets impounded heh
on cars where the rear suspension doesent use struts it was common for the cut springs to pop out over bumps
mainly torsion beam, when mine snapped it was trying to wiggle its way out
I just confirmed the deal on the truck
I will be picking up my 2007 Ford F-150 STX on Saturday
meanwhile I bought a bunch of car parts
The engine has 82000 miles on it and the rest of it has 235000 miles but it's a manual so it's fine
not unusual for a truck
The old engine wasn't bad according to the guy but he had this other white f150 work truck that was beat up
So he swapped the engines between the two
oh interesting, I had assumed the engine got rebuilt
It sounds good
No noises
I am paying $3200 which is still a steal
It comes with a toolbox that is really nice
I bought, fog lights, a dome light cover, an FSM, a new aux cable for my daily, LED fog light bulbs, a spare OMP that I may need for an upcoming project, and a Yamaha bike 2-stroke fuel tank for said upcoming project
I'm pretty sure it was probably a fleet truck at some point because it has a 5 speed manual which is not listed as an option anywhere
I think I'm gonna buy a project quad next
Or a newer ride on mower
project car is better imo
Already have one of those
oh
Lmao
I have 3 of them
I've bought 2 cars since November
same
I also have the firetruck and the rustmaster
I've got the $280 shitbox, and the supervan
Plus my daily and my first project car/first car I actually bought
I paid $1 for the firetruck (really long story) and the rust master was free
The Audi (my project car) was $500
damn, you got me beat
but my $280 shitbox is probably in better shape than both your free cars
maybe even the audi, but maybe not
The firetruck and rust master were family things so they don't really count as "purchases"
yea, my daily was like that
Audi is like new
Was just parked for 12 years in dry storage
So I'm doing a timing belt
oof yea
the $280 shitbox has had a tough life
but is actually relatively low miles all things considered
the supervan is from the same model year as the shitbox, and the supervan has 60k more miles on it
lmao I'm not jealous
It's on the backburner
only two of my cars have surface rust, the other two are rust free
All of my other stuff is rust free
It's like that just sucked the rust out of everything
lol
It wasn't that bad when it was parked 35+ years ago
But it was bad
https://g.co/kgs/sHfvpn this is what I just bought
But in red
Quite usual for older hondas
my 90s Toyotas with over 180k miles cold start faster than that
This has almost 230k miles currently
Long crank is a good thing in cold, it lets the oil pump make some pressure before it starts up
My great uncle drives this 300000+ mile corolla and it has never had a major repair
Only thing outside of maintenance was a starter
Should probably flush the power steering fluid couple times, the fluid looks almost original
It's pitch black and smells burnt
The Previa has 223k, cranks a little slow but still starts waaaaay faster
if its burnt, that's bad
burnt atf usually means not good things
my only car with manual windows is old enough that it's perfectly acceptable
Manual locks gang 😎 😢
same with the manual locks
though one of my 95s has a fucked up lock cylinder so its effectively manual lock on one side
My manual windows and locks are on my 2007 Ford F-150, '74 IH loadstar, and '75 IH Scout Terra
But the audi has all power features
Electric windows, electric sunroof an automatic climate control gang
That's my '97 audi a4
This is a 2000 accord
all 3 of my Toyotas have power locks, power windows
My truck is like a fleet truck but red
the mazda has manual windows, manual trans, fully manual locks, manual sunroof, and manual choke. BUT, it has power mirrors
the shitbox has power everything except mirrors
and the aforementioned fucked driver's door lock
none of my Toyotas have sunroofs
Only option mine's missing are the power seats
all 4 of my cars have front disc brakes, rear drum brakes
oh yea, I forgot power seats existed lmfao

none of my cars have that
both my rwd cars are solid axle open diff, but both my fwd cars are dramatically different
all 3 toyotas have power steering, the mazda has manual steering
The only options my audi does not have are the computer, car phone, and heated seats
imagine having cars that had optional heated seats
It's only loud when it's -20°C outside
one of my Toyotas had an option for bluetooth cell phone connectivity
the only thing you could do with it was make phone calls
glad I have an option-less base model instead
My truck does have an aftermarket radio so I got the Bluetooth and usb
Same
most aftermarket radios are trash
I can't wait to put a new CD player in the van
Lmaoo
Pioneer has been working nicely
My audi has stock radio and I'm glad for that because it keeps the aesthetic looking good
I plan to put a cb in my truck
I have a 90s Kenwood tapedeck in the mazda, and will be putting a 90s Kenwood CD player in the van soon
Accord originally had a bose system, that was so bad
the other two Toyotas have stock radios
the shitbox got new speakers and it really bumps now
I have Dolby nr on my audi tapedeck
And a factory 6 disc changer
It works too which is nice
Stock system in the 'rolla is aight.
Bose sound system
It works.
Only snag with the audi is that assembly is required
my projects need some disassembly and reassembly
No projects so far
Just bought a new bike
Fast crank and fire up when warm though
I don't have any up to date cold starts for my cars
That's not even cold
its in the negatives in C
I think it got down to 12F this morning
its supposed to be 4F this weekend
gonna cold start the Mazda for the meme
Yea I think we're going to be warming up next week too
thank god
I want the salt to go away and wash my cars
It's been negative 15-24 degrees for a month now
We have no salt when it's under -5c
i wish
Roads are dry everywhere rn
here, forecast be like "it might snow a little overnight"
the city be like salt intensifies
Hasn't even been snowing for a week
yea they won't salt if its cold and dry
they only salt if the forecast projects snow and ice
Bigger cities seem to love salt, they don't know that snow plows exist
Snow plows don't help if its snowing hard enough
Salt only makes it worse if it's not plowed first
¯_(ツ)_/¯
We had that in one of the bigger cities, they just laid the salt over the already tightly packed snow
Only made some big holes, was a terrible to drive over
Problem with salt is that it becomes ineffective when too cold.
-10 C and below. Give or take.
They don't even use salt under -5C here
And that's good
Alaska is great for used cars for that exact reason
So is Lapland in Finland
What I have to say
whats the car, i cant recognize it because of the snow
oh there is actually
ya
hot
im glad i dont go to the city too often because all of my cars are manual
2 five speeds and 1 six speed
It's not difficult to drive a manual in a town/city lol
but in the constant stop and go on the highway it isnt fun
at rush hour
i also realized that every single road legal vehicle that i have bought has been a manual with goodyear tires
It is more of a hassle than I care to deal with. That being said, all of the cars im looking at right now are manual.
i dont even buy manuals on purpose
i just see a good deal and contact the seller
then theyre like "you know this is a ___ speed right"
My next car is going to just kinda be a weekend warrior ya know? something more fun than my 8,000lb diesel truck lmao
i have my work truck and my winter car/road trip car
and the other thing is really for special occasions only
I just have my truck and the fiances SUV (hers though). I want something fun. We take one of our dailies if we travel.
Really considering a Focus RS. But I also like the WRX. And I also like the Golf R. I'm torn.
Well.... I'm not going to rally lol
the focus rs is great all around
its peppy, has decent amounts of storage space, and has plenty of performance parts available
i dont know much about the golf r though
I like the WRX the most I believe. But I dont like the sound of that boxer engine or whatever they call it. Sounds like a go kart.
I'd drive a WRX if it wasn't crazy expensive here
Manual ofc (who tf would drive it with a CVT?) and no mods
The WRX im looking at is a WRX STi Type RA. Like 1 of 500 or something.
MSRP of roughly 50k USD apparently, that seems reasonable
Speaking of driving in the city with manual
Base WRX was €108k here
I find difficult to drive with automatics
At least ones I drove that were super slow to change gears
So 131k USD
Current autos are quite fast while shifting gears
This is odd to me. I understand import taxes and all, but like???
Those were pre 2010
Besides regular sales tax (21%) and import tax (10%) we have a tax based on CO2-emissions, which on a WRX is €50k
Yeah, a dual clutch is basically unbeatable. Not as fun, but much faster.
And let's not talk about the smart car
I would be terrified to see the price of a car rocking a big beefy US V8
Torque converter auto's can change almost as fast a dual clutch now (a tad slower) but way smoother
Yeah it's horrifying
My truck probably wouldnt be too bad over there being diesel and all.
Since like, compression and whatnot
what truck do you have
Ram 2500
cummins?
Yes
there are many of those over here
Great truck
i love them
I bought mine a little over a year ago. Still completely stock and will remain that way lol
where i live there are no emission inspections
Although diesels emit lower emissions they are taxed even more

Gotta love it
Well, new tires (beefier because snow), but stock otherwise
unfortunately i would probably pass emissions
Base Mustang V8: €38.500 before taxes, €8k sales tax, €63k emissions tax
Total: €110k

wtf emissions tax costs more than the car
Yes
I think they just really dont want maniacs in 400hp american muscle cars on your roads lmao, so they tax them to a point no one wants them
No they really want you t buy a big car with a big engine, as it's they earn big on you

Luckily gas is only 7.5USD/gallon

Yes
Crazy to think the average person can just go to any dealership and buy a car with like 400+ HP for like $30,000 here in America.
i get gas here for like $2.35 a gallon
And gas here is like $2.48/gallon right now
sometimes at costco its like $1.90/gallon
That's why we all drive small cars
Before I moved back from tennessee last year it was $1.68
I have a cummins diesel, can we please not talk about fuel efficiency lmao
my biggest vehicle gets 5 mpg
9mpg, and nearly $4/gallon fuel isnt fun
I get like 14mpg on the highway, if im lucky
You talking about speed or range?
YES FEKL THE SPED
yes
Quoted the wrong post
😛
I dont think you could outrun my truck in that tbh. But you will for sure get better mileage lol
I probably have you on range as well since my tank is like 20+ gallons
I've done 105mph in it, it could go a bit faster but I didn't want too
I have 2 gas tanks in it 😛 1 for regular gas, 1 for LPG (basically propane)
I mean, the cummins does have like 400HP lol
my car is electronically limited to like 125 i think
So combined I have like 19 gallons
my truck only has 205hp 😢

205 is enough
my firetruck only makes 210
I'm more interested in torque numbers anyway when it comes to trucks. Whats the point of a truck if you cant potentially haul big shit ya know?
210 with a 404 v8
I could pull a damn building with my truck, or at least it sure feels like it
Imagine having more than 115Nm
my truck makes 260 lbs of torque
Mine makes over 800lbs stock lmao
my truck is the most basic truck you could buy
4.2L v6, 5 speed manual, manual windows, manual locks
Like I said, just crazy you can just go to a dealership and buy a diesel truck with almost 400HP and 800+ ft lbs of torque stock like that.
Like, thats just how it was made. Imagine telling someone 20 years ago you would be able to do that.
lmao i have a geo that i use as a go kart
the cat is completely blown out
and it runs super rich
if i had the emissions regulations that you did i think i would die
Yeah that wouldn't pass lol
I suppose you could
anything is possible if you try hard enough

I tried to do a handbrake turn in some unplowed area, almost got stuck
Lol classic
No he just tried it for funz
its hard to do a handbrake turn with a mechanical brake
It's even harder with an electronic handbrake
Tried to do a handbrake u turn and just slid forward heh
Was driving with my interior apart aswell heh
think this was the issue^
I’ve found that if you get up to a particular velocity, the snow is removed from the vehicle by magic.
i blast up to like 80mph every morning to warm my car up and blow off any snow
i was thinking about getting an old 1977 stingray corvete any thoughts
The fluid was pitch black, smelt burnt and the pump was really loud on cold mornings
i feel like a criminal when ive got a little bit of ice on the passenger side
this guy
Oh I See! Mine’s whining a bit too, should look into that then. I thought it was coolant from the picture

It's beautiful
Doesn't look bad at all
so i have a dilemma
the truck that i am picking up has airbag light and brake light on
im paying $3200
i do labor
but i dont have a reader that supports srs or abs codes
will it be expensive to fix those?
Maybe yes, maybe no.
You won't get a better answer without knowing the root cause
at worst case what do you think id be looking at for parts?
Worst case: air bag unit, airbags, tensioners etc
Best case: just a broken sensor or a cable unplugged
its an 07 f150 so parts should be easyish to find
ive heard the frontal crash sensors have some issues
with corroding and then breaking in half
pro tip: remove the airbag light
I'd say fix the airbag thing. Hopefully it's nothing big.
ABS issues could be problematic.
Issue remains.
I don't see the problem with it 🙃
i think the brake light is cluster related
because the guy said it just started doing it after he set the parking brake and washed it
at least it isnt a dodge so my transmission will last 3000 years
dodge transmissions
yep
the cummins are bulletproof but youd better carry a spare trans
i might have found the airbag light
yeah no kidding
i think those things where suppost to last until the end of time
Here is the truck
It has seat covers because the drivers seat is covered in poverty chrome
The center console also has a hole in it
Single cab

^ scary

Need a suggestion. Just graduated, looking for a car.
Should I go for a new one (a depreciating asset) or just buy some used Toyota or Honda for about 10k.
Used is almost often a smarter financial decision
Used is the way to go man
someones had fun at halfords 👀
Lel
2 torbo badges
funny thing is if his car got stolen his insurance could claim they stole it because of the likely undeclared badges indicating performance and cop out of the claim.
“TRD”
doesnt he know that chrome adds performance!?
that has at least 3000 horsepower
Do the rear doors of this type of truck have any real uses?
looks like a waste of space tbh
sometimes there are seats back there
but on my truck it is just access to storage space
seats that only fit toddlers mostly
hmm alright
theyre good for putting smaller toolboxes and suitcases if you want to go somewhere
They are there to give you space to waste.
other other issue is that i think you posted a chevy
the new honda trucks are the worst
they seem like they are made for people that want a truck but dont want to use it like a truck
it is just a pilot with a bed slapped on it
like the ford explorers with beds from a while ago
For normal on-road use, is that so bad?
theyre ugly
So... A subjective opinion then?
yeah basically
I believe that there is a problem with my cluster in my truck
It's a common issue on the '07 F-150
It just gives you a brake light for no reason
Does anyone here watch honigans????
lol aldi decided the entrance will do
thou shall enter aldi with 1mm of tread depth but may not return
I'm having trouble with 6mm of tread
mums civic was all over the place getting out
My Ford likes to dig in or slide on ice
But also I got narrowest 14 inch Tyres I can install on this car
my cars got pretty wide tyres for its weight
I think mjne are 175/80 and r14
It's so scary
And my rear just wiggles
Maybe I should install some new stuts when I can afford owning a car
often enough its only really worth it if you can afford decent or manufacturer ones
the rears on mine do pretty much nothing
in a general sense
rear end is pretty much rock solid
My rear ones just don't exist
And last time I've checked they are starting to leak
ill put coilovers on if im allowed
decent ones and not stupid low
would be a interesting project to put say a stepper motor on the dampener adjusters so i can adjust it while driving and what not
what would be a great first 4wd/awd SUV that is very safe?
Rav4?
the 1903 Spyker?
Nissian Patrol
i revise my original response, the LM002
Land Rover Series 1
how to be a masochist 101
If you want very safe. Anything made after 2015 has a good chance of having blind spot monitoring, autonomous braking, more airbags than you have fingers, stability, traction, and reality control.
oh and cruise control. Not a safety feature, but it's must have imo.
I agree with monte carlo
A tank
But what's the thing with SUVs
It seems that station wagons were popular not that long ago
not a 4x4, but the Mercedes AMG 6x6 looks pretty safe
Rolls Royce cullinan too i bet thats safe
speaking of off road vehicles
WOT?
Let me guess. With gearing and extended range gas tank.
And, when equipped with an optional 33-gallon fuel tank, the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel has a claimed driving range of 1,000 miles.
yeeeeep
And only the 4X2 would get over a thousand miles of range... and you'd have to run it down to nearly the last gallon.
my ford explorer could get like 350 if I filled it to the brim and went 55 without stopping once
I could do... over 450 in the Corolla if I hit the EPA mileage and ran it down to nearly empty.
maybe 4!
as long as I get 250 to a quarter tank no matter what I'm good with a car lmao
On a flat road... I could maybe hit 500?
downhill? 600!
damn i gotta get me one of those new Ram Eco Diesels with the optional 33 gallon fuel tank so i dont get range anxiety when driving 10 miles to work
ok eoe
wait 1 month
thats how often you will have to fill up
i gotta fill up every like 3 days
i bet I could stretch that truck to a week and a half
i wont lie, how long between fuelling up isnt a metric which interest me
and then I'd only spend 500$ on 50 gallons of diesel :D
might aswell just buy a tank for special trips and cycle to work much cheaper
yea probably
for me
let me see
about 2 miles round trio to school and back so
like a month
make that like 2
Cars area for us geeks of multiple disciplines!!!
My B20Z powered 84 Civic 2000S (formerly 1500S). Full OBD2 conversion still running the CR-V PHK ECU code free.
And this is the newer toy/dd.
I was looking at an RS, I like them. But I think I’m leaning Golf R at the moment.
I like both, but I feel the RS had a little more compared to the R of 2016, and I love this blue. Going from the FWD my only rules for the new car buy when I started shopping in 2015 was not FWD and a 5DR hatchback.
I was really close to getting a used STI when Ford announced the RS. Ordered it Oct of 2015 when the order banks opened and took delivery June of 2016, within 24 hours had it on the auto-x course putting the Cup 2 tires to work while not getting it all the gas, so I momentum drove it like an underpowered car... Cup 2s were delaminating in 2300 miles.
I was also looking at an STi Type RA lmao. But meh. Nice car, just a lot of money for a badge.
The 2022 Golf R looks nice in a manual. But I’m not sure it’s worth spending the extra money over a 2020-2021
I've not looked to close at the newer ones being out of the market for a new car right now. My next automobile purchase has to be a truck that can haul a trailer.
I currently have a truck. The Golf will be a weekend warrior for the most part. At least that’s the plan for it
Well, when I say DD, that is normally one drive a week to a bike park since I'm working from home now.
Wonder which turbo will be louder, the trucks or the golfs
The truck for sure now that I think about it.
LOL i will see the stock b20 high comp swapped EF.. errr whatever those old ass civics are called lol and raise you...
but that just my 5 year olds hatch i been working on have pics of...
here is a pic from today at Sonoma
and some more from earlier in the week...
the 900 hp sleeper evo in my garage tonight...
@glacial marlin nice! I have no need for more power in this one right now. It's super reliable and fun as is, drove to PA and NJ several times, mountains of NC. One weekend a friend and I drove to ViR, worked a race there Friday and Saturday, Saturday night drive to CMP to race the Civic, then drove home in it. Weather forecast was all over the place that weekend so I have 13 tires (street, dry, wet and a spare street) on or in the car, tools, full size floor jack, jack stands as well as all our camping gear. The looks on people's faces when we unloaded that car were priceless.
i need at LEAST 1200 HP in my EG Hatch
my kids is like 800 now and feels slow AF tbh
cant even rip 9's lol stuck at 10.2
But, would you drive it for 10 hours on the highway on Friday and again on Sunday over a weekend?
uh drove my 900hp eg hatch from seattle to TJ at 45 psi bruh
made it in under 24 hours
only 1 ticket
didnt make it back tho!
LaFonda
that fucker let go coming up the mountains NorCal
had to do a truck stop motor swap
drove my 640hp evo from NYC to LA few years ago no worries
and we drive 1500hp GT-R's everywhere all day every day
EVERY
DAMN
DAY
my kids hatch i just drove to idaho and back at 30 pounds of boost lol but hit snow halfway there had to call for a trailer we dont mess around here in the PNW
I've only run the Civic on a straight line once, on 175/70R13 all season radials 14.3. At 1/8 I was ahead of friend in his built SRT4, but at 1/8 I go to 5th gear and with S1 Integra 5th gear set for highways he passes me in the second 1/8.
Big difference between Evo or GT-R engine and I highly strung/boosted Honda engine.
no difference at all
we build the same
no headgaskets
v6 4 bangers it doesnt matter build them the same
watch these tho
Every Honda I4 I've seen over 800hp is on borrowed time. They can do it, but not for 60k miles.
Angriest 4 cylinder
The engine on that thing is at least a semi mint
The cooling system only needs to be refilled more than the gas tank
It leaks a lot of brake juice but that's fine
Does anyone know where to get a sun shade for the BMW 4 series 2019 only found this one but it seems like it's made for Toyotas by the image
So it's almost dead. Nah its ded
Aren't most sun shades just sized differently. And you just pick one that sorta fits your car?
It's just very hard cause you got a big antenna in front of the front window for connect drive
I think it's a camera for emergency braking it is really big and in Australia I think it has a dab antenna
But really. It's more or less like I said earlier. Most are just "One size fits many. Find a size that fits you."
Just expensive to import to Australia
And ship is 4m I looked around just doesn't seem like anyone sells them in Australia
Find something that's fits mostly > Cut into size.
Or actually find and go into an auto parts store for it. So that you can actually look at them.
Yeah thanks for your help
car go vroom
Not always
weird
something broke on my car
check engine went away
then after driving for 80 km check engine started flashing and then went away
and the engine temp went close to cool
after driving on highway
and I've checked it was actually cool
what the fuck
weve never had a check engine that went off on its own without the problem being fixed / code being cleared
Regarding the Weathertech stuff, their products should still fit even though they don't picture your make or model in the preview image
i think i messed up my plastic splitter thing thats below the bumper hitting a rock someone decided to put in the snow

It's a splitter, it's supposed to split
If you're paying over 40 dollars for a sunshade, just go OEM.
Stress is putting 100 miles over 2 days driving around town.
oof
worth it

If combustion engines are banned, can the electric power grid really handle a surge of electric cars? Let’s dive into the challenges associ...
tl;dr: yes
@glacial marlin damn bro, you ok? you seemed to have a spaz moment there before you got banned in HWS... lol
Tl;dw: yes, but changes are necessary to make it happen. Solutions which are available right now, but they're still needed
I just mentioned the Cybertruck which I wanted that badly, only comes with a 6.5ft bed...
Thats a major Argument against it for me though. I need at least a bed of 7.6ft (91in) size. :frowning:
I really hope there will be a larger Version of the truck somewhen.
you probably want to get a cheap scanner
our cars have had missfire codes that have stuck on im pretty sure
No its not. Its an average size pickup and a smaller-than-average transport vehicle by European Standards
If by average we're talking by crew cab trucks with 6.5 foot beds, sure.
And those are already too big for the average driver to handle very well in a parking lot... or fit in a garage.
I would estimate the Ford F150 Raptor as an Average
The Raptor isn't average.
Well, the 6x6 Raptor isnt average for sure..
Anyway... The Cybertruck was advertised with the Cyberquad. Im just sad that the Cybertruck doesnt have a larger bed to accomp larger ATV/Quads. Something which does have more the utility factor like the Pickup-part rather than the racing one.
Because Pickups are usually Utility vehicles.
ATVs/Quads are usually Utility vehicles.
The ATV/Quad Elon set as reference for the Cybertruck is a Sports Quad
ATVs in the US are usually used for recreational purposes.
And a lot of trucks in the US sold today have abandoned any attempts at utility.
They've replaced luxury brands essentially.
15 years ago, highest trim was a Ford F150 Lariat. Eye watering at 50k.
Now we're pushing 100k with uhhhh... Limited or Platinum. I forgot which trim is the highest.
And getting into the Heavy Duty trucks... well, that's where stuff gets fun.
I do own an ATV. Its the CFMoto CForce 1000.
Its meant to get used with a snow plow and/or a trailer, secure cargo on it etc.
...would like to havea Pickup suitable to transport it. And by the features with the ramp & air suspension, the Cybertruck would be suitable. But its just too short. Idk if its bed is broad enough, but should be.
A ramp isn't exactly a huge selling point considering you can get those for fairly cheap.
And air suspension is frankly... a gimmick. It's a thing that will break.
& Im a fan of BEVs & The design language.
we'd love the cybertruck
Back in the day when I played GTA5, I was truly a fan of the Sandking XL, Guardian & Insurgent. 😅
Whats up with that picture?
the range rovers pretty much maximised its space
It's a big car on a European road. lol
busses take this road though so
Imagine something several inches wider.
Range Rover is 198cm wide.
Cybertruck is 202cm wide.
4cm Difference ain't that much
And after all, the 35" wheels should allow u to go offroad when the road ain't wide enough.
Which isn't legal in most cities and towns.
wonder what the turning circle will be like
biggest pickup ive seen is a ford ranger and it is biig
Speaking of pickup truck sizes
I saw a doge ram in Switzerland taking up 4 parking spaces
Wouldn't fit in 1
range rover barely fits in one often enough here, they end up taking up 2
using that much space is like a guaranteed door ding heh.
Well, even though I live in Germany, I almost never drive in a city. Im either on the countryside or on a highway/autobahn.
i dont get why theres so many massive suvs in Edinburgh, alot of them are electric though i guess
(Edinburgh has dreadful traffic and parking, basically a blanket 20mph limit which half the time you cant even reach)
real mpg hours
Here most people have wagons or SUVs
I only seen pickup trucks like 3 times in my life here
have had very poor experience with it. once had an R-class that was lopsided
we made sure that the cayenne we were getting had the steel springs
There is a 4Runner I found with a V8... and air suspension.
oh darn
I haven't heard of an air suspension that never had issues. I'll stick to springs thank you very much.
dont know how i found this message but
buses are smaller than american vecles here lol
:^ |
hi
im so tired that i thought your tool box was a miniature of the car
Well he's not wrong
£22 for 5 litres and its not cheap shit pog
discounted, im slightly overdue a oil change.
I just put half a quart in my 3 lmao
what are these quarts you speak of :^)
yeah its normally 35
5W30 ACEA A5
rotella gang 23$ a gallon
For some reason I paid €25 for 5L of OEM branded 5W30
i mean it works
if you're driving a normal road car to normal conditions its fine
but if you've got a big boi limiter rattling car
you need really good oil
Big boi limiter rattling car
when you have a car with as little power as mine the engine is always being pushed to its limits
Same
casual lead foot gang
my poor 3 consumes oil much more rapidly at redline so I don't do that often but I am flooring it everywhere lol
I use Castrol Edge in all my cars, except the RX-7 since burning synthetic is bad for a rotary. However, I am beginning the early stages of a modification that will allow me to run synth in the RX-7 without consequences
can you still get actual non synthetic
yea, Castrol GTX is a conventional oil
and most other things are labeled as conventional
so you just grab a conventional oil and its fine
i think my dads 110k mile hyundai is loosing oil
i think its burning it as no visual leak
what year is it
2009
not surprising then
its had a new engine put in it im pretty sure due to a timing related incident
may of just been headwork
from the 90s through the mid 2000s Hyundais with over 75k miles was a miracle
and wasn't really until mid 2010s that Hyundais actually started getting to be very good and reliable
the suspension on it needs some work aswell pretty clean of rust though
the engine sounds like shit though, if i didnt know any better id say it was a diesel
1.4l NA petrol on a 1.4 tonne car :^ |
Oh god pls don't tell me it's the 1.4 i30
tis

rumour has it you can accelerate faster if you rock the car along
it cant afford to loose any power it had from the factory heh
i am pretty sure its the 86
i have the higher emission 1.3 so id assume its the higher power.
I luckily have the high output 1.2 Corsa with 86hp vs the normal output with 69hp (nice)
theres a 1.3 M2 that costs £30/y in tax mine is £125
i just pay mines for the year, was £550 this year
that includes breakdown and what not
Paying per year only saves me €11/year so it's not worth it imho
Roadside assistance is never part of insurance in 🇳🇱 , that's always seperate (if you want it)
ive got home call n that but i doubt ill ever use it
you have to wait hours for them to show anyway
I've got roadside assistance throughout entire Europe
people abuse it alot when buying shitboxes here
Max 1hr usually, often ~30 minutes
theyll put false plates on the car or just hope the guy doesent check that its taxed and insured.
then get it towed home by recovery
Well you can't abuse it here, they'll come but not 3949 times a year
not frequent abuse just not using it for what its meant for
And idk we have to link it to a car(s)
We used it once in the past 5 years
Battery went from working just fine to only producing 6V lol
have the jump the civic alot, not sure if its the battery or alternator
i imagine with how low the batteries been getting the alternator cant be too happy
Well check the voltage with the engine running
will tommorow probably, have to check the wheel sensors cause abs is no happy
im not going to be very happy if its the abs module itself

why didnt we get the trim without abs
Idk ABS might be useful lol
well we didnt buy new i guess thats why
its useful when your car doesent consume wheel speed sensors
and because the car was made with it, it has to be working to pass the MOT
Well if you just want a car without ABS, just don't change out the sensors a
Ah
Yeah right
Forgot that
p sure my car doesnt have ABS
hopefully i dont have to find out the hard way
it does have wheel speed sensors for like flat tyres though
it probably has ABS then
its been mandatory in the uk since 2004
We got abs mandatory in like 2006
Mine has abs but no traction/stability
ABS, ESP & TC gang
car was made in 2003
I just tie a wooden planks on my f. Ront wheens and works fine
seems it does then i guess
cool
It's because the road here is private property so
It's covered in ice and snow all the time
To Check for ABS, just smash on the brakes really hard. You can hear/feel the system working
ABS only gang lmao
I don't even need to press hard
ive only activated it once on purpose
Every time i get out from my parking spot
I always get abs to engage because road is that slippery
wanted to see how fast i could stop from 25 if i met another car on a single track road bend
i dont think ive activated it on ice but im very gentle
I activated ABS a few but mainly at low speeds at a certain intersection where visibility is poor
ABS on ice is useless
you dont come to a complete stop regardless :?
Wdym
if visibility is poor
Well it's not that poor that you have to come to a complete stop, I always look but sometimes you see it a tad late
I've always stopped in time
I've activated it the most I ever have since moving to where snow is
all the hard braking i did in snow was using the handbrake heh
It's an equal junction so traffic coming from the right has right of way
even in the middle of nowhere we dont have that
What don't you have
unless im understanding wrong
a "equal junction"
as in a 4 or 3 way with no markings
4 way
always marked here
give way lines on 2 of the sides or ofcourse the wonderful mini roundabout
Base rule: traffic coming from the right has right of was
Anyway it's just a regular junction in a 20mph zone
But traffic from 1 side is a tad harder to see, but it's ok. Traffic from the opposite side is ok to see but they approach the juction at like 50mph so it's hard to spot those lol
It's hard to see traffic approaching from the right here approaching at 50mph, and stop to give way
we have cross roads like this
me and the side across from me give way to traffic on the primary road
and anyone turning right has to wait for the people going straight or left
Yeah sure we have those as well
we dont have anything like what you posted other than a mini roundabout
But the junction I meant, every direction is equal. So every direction has to give way to traffic from the right
It's probably like a mini roundabout
As they're treated equal, it's called an equal junction
mini roundabouts suck on busy roads because people suck
literally drive across the wrong side of them or straight over
and then you get the people sitting there who have no idea whats going on
flies across at 50mph
BuT iHaVe PrIoRiTy
Submits video to Dashcam UK
yep
Also a great way to take a junction
By not taking it at all
Same here
And again at speed
impressive
Roundabouts in Poland be like

how to take mini roundabouts 101
except your government have put this pesky ramp in the way
typical
Those little roundabouts that only bob around half a car's width
Ngl when the only things on it to break is really 1 thing i can handle an extra thing that could break
Would take springs any day
Depends on the car
Quite nice on range rovers as it lowers the car when you exit and raises when you drive off, dunno why other brands don’t do the same
The X5 and GLE definitely don’t
Because air suspension is prone to issues that coils just don't have
also extra weight
Meh
and stress on the engine power to compressors
What does it matter if it's under warranty if you have to take it back into the garage every 4 months
Realistically when would that even happen
As per usual those issues arise the day your warranty expires
Saying stuff like all new cars with air suspension break every 4 months is completely and utterly wrong
Bit of a Scotty Kilmer take that lmao
So what?
I know the caveats of air suspension because lots of guys in my car group have or had it
most going back to coilovers
Are they brand new cars or 15 year old shitters
That's irrelevant
If it’s the latter that’s why
the age of the car isn't relevant to the age of the system
To the reliability it is
Ooooh look at this dude getting serious, he’s putting full stops at the end of his sentences 😂
500 IQ
Hurr durr it’s gonna break
2 minutes from the dealership
I mostly always put punctuation in my sentences, it's not really a tell of my tone
I gave you 3 good reasons why most car companies don't put air suspension in your cars, I'm done with you
It's not only expensive
It's heavier, since you need to have air tanks and airbags, and then you need compressors too that can keep up with the system
Now, for big stupid 4 litre SUV/4x4 things it hardly matters
You think I don’t know
so why postulate why other car companies don't put them in
If you looked at the context of what I said (mentioning the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE), you’d realise that I’m talking about the entry and exit feature of the Range Rover
Never did I postulate why other brands implement air suspension on all cars, it’s pretty obvious that I’m talking about a feature for cars that ALREADY have it
So your stupid argument really has no relevancy unless you want to talk about added wear but that’s already a stretch in itself

Breaking parts are a concern.
Price to fix out of warranty is a headache. Especially for second owners
i got a question
does anyone
understand about mtb bikes
if yes
pleeas
pleeeeeeeeaaaaassssssssssssseeeeee
please
please
dm me privatly
because i want to install pegs on em but i dont know how
il send you pics of my bike and tell me how to install it please
damn getting invaded by pedalers
Any thoughts? I haven't put in shading and dark spots yet, so i just want a little feedback on shape and perspective inaccuracies
'68 Mustang GT fastback
Why would you put pegs on a mountain bike
And the reference
Its not a BMX
gotta do stonts man
I guess I can agree with the fact that the engine that my focus has is bulletproof
telsa car booking in india has started

I do. But why would you put pegs on an MTB?
high
Car go vrom vrom
Electric car go........
They just toasters that go eeeeeeeeeeEEEEEE
They’re fun tho ngl
no
If it’s a daily who cares if it’s ice or ev
Only problem about cheaper ones is that they’re slow as fuck over 50mph
yea
98% of EVs are absolute garbage right now
Can't make me switch if the options are all trash
problem is most are overpriced, have ass range, or are ugly/have a shitty interior
EVs aren't unique in having questionable interiors.
