An engine swap where you use the stock trans and engine mounts are similar in both vehicles/engines is the only time it can be considered "easy"
But even then you still have to change the fuel system to work with the new motor, adapt a different wiring harness to the car, and get a new ECU and adapt it to the car

I drive with air suspension, and have never regret it since purchase, Yes it is expensive but I think its worth it over static, both because of the harshness/comfort and raise/lower without need of being under the car.
having stance with static will make you to use harder springs or squish them hard so you dont rub, with (at least the ALP 3H that I use) you only set the height in modes and it adjust as needed based on corner height and not "spring pressure".
