ill do some knocking around the bottom side
It hasnt done too many miles, so hopefully it's alright. 940's got pretty darn good rust protection
Sure, but they are old now
meh only 30 years
But it could of course be an unusual example that is better than it looks
it looks alright
A little dirty in the pics but oh well
except the top of the doorcards but thats standard
Speaker grills are still there too
Yep, might be a diamond in the rough after all
the best car i've ever owned was a 300k miles 945 that i got for 1500 usd lol
a little rough but a great driving car
Yeah they tend to be cars that work well mechanically, rust is what kills them
As is the case for most old Volvo's
Model years before 1988 yes, they got a lot better rust protection after that.
it's usually a head on collision with a tree or a ditch that does it
Sure, but they have yet to invent a rust protection that stands up to years of road salt
There'll never be something like that
No, but one can dream
Indeed
He haw.
i just fully rebuild it so i hope it is😂
the only thing damaged was this when i pulled it appart
what is it
You can track how long my family has had this car with this cable XD, and yes each of these where used before the other was added on top
I don't know what this is.
3 generations of iphone ports
Ahh.
That reminds me that I still have my old iPod, along with the original cable and charger that came with it...
940
RWD? get it
I put coolant in mine when it stops steaming and I changed the oil one time because I was feeling kind that day
Me reading this after coming straight from tech chat
how considerate of you
what's up with it in the second vid 😭
fuck ass rebuild almost done
take engine apart to replace blown head gaskets and cracked heads from a crash 60K miles again
Look inside
It's all fucked
I have no clue how this thing still ran at all it literally had half it's lifters broken
And it had a leak in the passenger side fuel rail so the whole fuel system was only able to pressureize to about 20K (explains why it couldn't boost)
how my cam didn't get fucked presumably having had that leak for 60K miles now is beyond me but it wasn't so I guess I'll take that
The passenger side of the fuel rail was essentially running 2K PSI below the driver side so the cylinders couldn't have been in any form of sync anymore in terms of firing
but this thing surprisingly started right up still just wouldn't boost, the TCM wouldn't allow for overdrive anddddd it'd sometimes die if it was really cold
It shall soon smack things again mashallah
Lawnmower revving
can’t kill them fuckers i gotta buy one as a woods rig
sounds about right 😭
Lemme guess: LB7
LLY
LB7s aren't nearly reliable as the LLY and LBZ
if anyone claims to have more than 300K on a LB7 they are lying because LB7s cavitate like a motherfucker
Let me stop you right there
I actually know of (and have worked on) a 300k LB7
that LLY has a million on it
its my second LLY to hit a million
every LB7 I have owned has had the engine scraped or the whole vehicle scrapped because they cavitate like a motherfucker if they boost often
the other million mile LLY is much cleaner because it hasn't been plowed with. this one has been plowing since I bought it in 2006
Said LB7 needs a TCM and injectors as it sits right now though
how long do LB7 injectors even last
I've only put 3 sets in this LLY and my other LLY has had 5
Supposedly around 150k
This truck has gone double that on the factory ones
LLY and LB7 injectors are really hit or miss
I think they wear quicker if they boost a lot
my other one has mostly pulled and towed so it was boosting a lot more than this one has which has mostly plowed and drove empty
They’re mechanical injectors that has solenoids thrown on them
I've personally seen them lasting upwards of 300K and dying short of 150K though
I’ll see if I can get the mileage reading off the ECM next time I see the truck. The TCM keeps pulling the whole CAN bus to code reader interface down
the odo won't show it in accessory?
It does, not sure if it’s correct though.
it's a digital ODO shouldn't it be showing the same as a scanner real?
I've never seen digital ones being off from a scanner reading and I've seen some vehicles with some really illegal shit like vin swaps done to them before
like OBD should be pulling from BCM and IPC, Cluster should be pulling from IPC
I know a weird quirk of the LB7s is they don't count after a million in the BCM only on the IPC so once the cluster loses power itll restore back to 999999
and scanners wont ever pull above 999999 from them
but I think this is only 01/02s because 03s are very diffrent electrically
(the IPC and BCM are combined on the 03s and up and have another 8mb of storage and 2mb of memory)
Installed the fancy door sill cover thingies, cuz for some reason the top trim here doesnt come with them...
have you guys seen the new aston vanquish?
New like the 2024- one?
No the new one from 2012
Of course the 24-25
Yeah but you see how that's not new anymore and one could think there would have been an even newer one
Its new because the official full production run is in 25
And it only hit showrooms a month ago
Okay
And to answer the initial question, now I have, looks pretty cool
To the person that designed the upper intake manifold for the 5.0 in the 10th gen Thunderbird, from the bottom of my heart, fuck you.
3 out of the 4 bolts are easy to get to, then you have the one on the drivers side rear that you have to use a short socket + swivel, and I only had deep well sockets
And I cut up my hands and lost 10 years of my life in the process
and lost my deep well 13 mm
I think it looks amazing. Althouth the front lights dont really match the car
Don't think I've ever seen a bad looking Aston, but agree about the front lights
what year
ugh i bought a car
The 940?
nah
the seller stopped asnwering my messages
so i got mad and lost interest
so I found a 2007 v70 instead
might be a little more sensible
Didn't find a single spot of rust, and it has the ultra thirsty 170hp straight 5 engine
Unlimited cargo space
imagine all the booze i can get into that bad boy
imagine all the ladies i can fit lol
You got to lure them in first
thats what the booze is for
look at the undersides of the strut towers and behind the plastic bumper at the rear arches
that's where mine has been worst

Did they ever offer it with the triton or is this a mod?
But imo i wouldve kept it luxury as an equivalent to like a 760li or s65 equivalent
my brick to a car
its a well documented entirely custom build with a triton block and custom 40v heads. Car was FWD only from the factory but its been completely stripped and made RWD.

Das tiny
Another engine dismantled and ready to go to machinist, its a shame to take this one apart as it literally has zero wear.

Why does your phone camera look as old as your cars
I handle this phone with every known chemical on my hand and toss it everywhere so its a little scuffed
"little scuffed" i wonder what that could mean
its not cracked or anything but the lenses will have had brake fluid and all on them
the sides are kinda "melted" from brake fluid
engine is for this car I got for free
Just needs pretty much everything replaced then I can use it
will get a new engine, gearbox, lsd, wheels, suspension, brakes, seats, complete cooling system and then it will be good to go looking pretty much as it currently does.
It becomes MOT exempt in like 20 days but I will still have to weld up all the holes it has to some degree incase I get pulled over.
I did fit an engine to it earlier this year but decided it needs 200hp instead so replacing it again, I imagine this one weighs less than 900kg at the moment with all the missing metal.
ANPR will love that front plate plus I love how it looks so will definetely be keeping that.
It only ever various sideways v6s
3.7 syclone or 2.7 or 3l ecoboosts
lol once i was gonna buy a 1982 xjs v12 convertible and m'guy offered to throw in a second xjs for free for parts
Those v12s are a nightmare
Especially the injection
A chevy v8 is an easy swap though as they use a gm th400 transmission and the v12 even uses a gm big block bolt pattern
Nah they’re so unreliable that sometimes, on rare occasions you can drive them
what makes xjs v12 unrelaiable? i know they are, but why?
Guys. Why does like early 2000s Toyota get stuck at 299999 on the odometer?
They don't?
Toyotas with digital odometers do stop at 999999 though
Because they don't roll over
Probably something to do with how abused it is
I'm About to hit 299999 km on my odometer, but then I have huge legal issue
It won't be an issue
early corrolas and matrixes do
and pontiac vibes (also a matrix lol)
it’s a programming issue w the odometer or something they all get stuck there
bri'ish innit
alot of neglect probably
got the day off today so now i’m spending my day at the dealership while they replace my gas pedal for a recall lmao
The biggest issue iirc is the absolute rats nest of wires, vacuum lines, random bs thats needed for its fuel injection system
Its a weird mechanical/efi hybrid and with 12 cylinders its an absolute nightmare
Ive heard if you pull this rats nest off the engine isnt bad for what it is but
Its usually easier to yank the whole thing and add a 454 chevy
see the unreliability begins with the company that built the car: jaguar
would be a shame to put a v8 in a car meant to have a v12 though
Bigm blockm chevy makes up for it
But like i said if youre willing to yank that rats nest and convert it to carbs its not horrible
Those also came with i4 or i6 configs available, I forgot which. No one likes them tho, because honestly, why choose an i4 over a v12? Unless you wanna break down less and save more fuel, which no one does
Ive always wanted to put a diesel engine in a XJS heh
I6
That was basically half the v12
The issue was that the i6 used different transmissions so swaps are harder
how fix
😔

some glue and noodles will fix that
so just the electronics basically and weak lines
Oh god that reminds me, I saw an aqua with a wing the other day
its okay mileage is just a number.
a stuck odo is only a problem when you sell if ur in the US, and even then thats only in like 10 states where its a legal issue. its illegal to tamper with mileage THEN sell the vehicle or transfer it thats a federal crime, but only like 10 states require a working odo to pass inspection.
It's a crime to tamper with odometer in Poland at all
damn wtf
my plow truck is off by like 800K cus it got a new ODO
its actually on like 1.2-1.3 million
is a working odometer required though<
the odometer failing isnt your fault I don't see how that can be illegal.
but I'm required to have a working odometer on my car or else it will be taken off the road iirc
rip
here in ohio only salvage title vehicles need working odometers
thats why my trans am is off the road like 20% of the time because its odometer keeps stopping and I can't figure out why and haven't had time to tear the whole dash apart.
the criminal shit with odos here is all when you knowingly tamper with it. if it fails on its own or fucks up on its own its not your fault, you need to disclose a incorrect odo if you replace your cluster.
replace it with what?
I would love to make my own custom cluster
you can't really do it on modern digital cluster vehicles sadly
since the VFD in my totoya is very meh
this is the custom one in my K35
still have to disclose on the title its non accurate milage since I've installed a new odometer that doesn't match the vin
I feel it is possible, since most of my "digital cluster" is analog
just would have to figure out how the RPM and speed is transfered
if you can change those aftermarket custom clusters exist
here's an all LCD cluster I was considering for this truck
this is the factory cluster
I had to put a aftermarket cluster in so I could have the tach actually match the motor going into it.
since this truck predates high pressure common rail engines and their lower redlines by a good 20 years
I don't get why or how they would enforce that 😭
do they inspect the fucking odometer at inspections or even worse at random stops.
going to yearly inspection and getting your registration confiscated
oh we don't do that here
and also police does that too
yeahhh we don't do that here either
because it has been a very know issue people clocking cars with like 800k+ km on it and selling it as 180k
only inspections are if you're suspected of drug trafficing (they take apart all your body panels) or if its salvage title they check S/Ns to make sure theres not any stolen parts on it
if you do that here its straight to federal prision when you inveitably get caught.
my sister in law got a VW Passat b6 that has been sold as having 240ish k km on it
it turned out it had 980k km on it
I find that really hard to belive tbh
people in the million mile club are REALLY proud of those vehicles and wont sell them period.
Past a certain age the age matters more than the mileage/kilometerage(?) imo
oh certainly, my 20 year old duramax doesn't have engine issues none of them do in my posession actually but they all have issues with the frame and bed
it was when it was like 10+ years ago?
even a 20 year old vehicle getting to a million miles is a stretch
Yeah, and rubber and gaskets age regardless of how much you drive
I drive a 2021 mercedes with like 800k km on it
Of course it is possible, just improbable
assuming a speed of 60 mph hour you'd need 8,284 hours to reach that
that is 345 days
your odo has an issue or something thats litterally not possible unless you've been driving that car 24/7 non stop
Commercial vehicles exist
or euro cars count distance traveled really weird.
I run 4 semi trucks that drive basically 18 hours a day. none of those trucks which are all 2016s and 2017s are that high yet.
I own a bunch of commerical vehicles because I own a buisness that uses them 😭
this might be the only way for that to happen tbh
but IIRC that truck had been driven like 1000 km+ daily for 3 years
Long distances up here in the Nordics too
the 4 semis I have are pretty often going from Cincy ohio to upstate new york and san francisco which is like
600 miles and I think 2K?
then again fastest roads in the US are only 80mph and more often 60 is the max, 40 in cities
it does add up more or less
TXSH130 goes to 85 afaik thats the fastest road in the US
counting if during the month the truck has been driven for 20 days at least
max a semi can legally drive daily is 14 hours in the US, I have 2 people rotating 9 hours a day for 18 hour drive windows daily.
also 60 hours a week max before a 34 hour break is needed
you can drive a truck in EU for maxt of 10 hours in 2 days and 9 for the rest of the week
IDK how it works with having 2 drivers
probably same as the US, if they rotate they're technically not counted as a break time so they can't go for over 10 hours daily.
the highest i've ver seen so far
in the US its 10 hours driving, you can take a 10 hour break to go to 11, and 14 hours total paid time.
its about 500K miles which i've seen on some 90s trucks recently but its not that common here for semis
but that was on a dilapidated Iveco that was probably bought used from 2015
semis will be getting decommisioned or rebuilt about that time in the US.
also semi truck have certified spedometers here
same here
sometimes people cheat that by using worn tyres during calibration so they can go faster on new tyres
certified speedometers aren't actually as accurate as people think
they need to be acurate to the nearest 5 (8 for km)
here it's 3 km/h
wild tbh
I've NEVER seen a speedometer even the highly calibrated ones are interceptors that are at most like 1 mph off match a GPS
they're always like 10-15 over a GPS in my experience.
radar guns and speed lasers will clock them accurately but not a GPS
italian radars casually adding 20 kmh to your speed
Kind of wish I had left a 305 stock just to get it to silly milles original, change the engine in all of them so cant really be impressive anymore.
Imagine having a car where you don't need do any maintenance other than changing fluids and filters
and maybe rustproofing
Certainly not the case for my 305 anymore heh, its pretty reliable but clutches dont last long and it breaks driveshafts
Got one custom made this time hopefully lasts longer
Friend had a standard 305 before on 400k miles, it was pretty wrecked interior wise unfortunately.

Hello I have Honda accord
Why
as someone who plows snow, rust proofing is a scam
the best rust proofing is a 2 inch lift.
that is the ONLY thing that will acutually delay rust
Try washing out the undercarriage after you’re done plowing for the season
I've been using the same plow truck for 20 years I just park it in my heated garage.
snow all dries out, its a GMC GMT800 so theres no cab corners to catch rust like the Chevy GMT800s have
one of the biggest changes on a sierra vs a silverado for those years is the sierra has squared and open cab corners with no lip, the silverado has rounded and closed cab corners with a lip which catches salt and debries n shit then rusts though
mines got the X31 offroad package too so 2 inch lift has been keeping its frame away from salt
yours is inherently wrong
Chevrolet
Short Bed
still is a nevva die GMT800 Duramax though 😉
just about every single change on the GMCs made them better, and they also had optional factory DRLs
Man I hate DRLs. They really need to have a sensor that shuts them off when it's dark. So many morons driving arond with their friggin headlights off because the DRLs are way too bright so they think it is their headlights.
the HID DRLs of the past where fine.
I mean, if you treat it like a magic solution and then otherwise ignore it, yeah.
If you coat the car properly and keep it clean you'll be fine
no like I did it on both my 450s had a shop do it yearly right before plow season
they rusted out WAYYYY faster than my Sierra has been
my Sierra has had no rust protection done since it was born.
And did you clean it every day? If you're out plowing snow all day in something then you need to do more to prevent shit
yeah sprayed them down in a warm garage with distilled water each night
I just started disregarding the Sierra 2 years ago and it has been fine. It's 20 years old now it's gonna need to be replaced soon anyway due the bed and body damage it's sustained, the Ford's had shit fall apart due to rust 3-4 years in even with rust coatings
Rust protection PROBABLY does actually help small cars but it doesn't do very much on these large trucks.
me with shite ton of salt and salt water being poured on under carriage of my car
It depends on the coating
The oil/wax coating probably washed right off
If it isnt prepped right it can trap moisture aswell
what kind of rust proofing did you get though
the rubberized coating will indeed make it rot quicker
also you gotta reaply every year or every two years otherwise ofc it wont do anything
Ive seen a number of cars that had ziebart treatment in the 70's and I would say it definitely helps
Daf 66 that's here is basically new underneath
rubberized on my first F450 and POR-15 on my other F450
both rotted at around the same rate
When I had POR-15 it was only done to the frame so UV didn't get to it since it wasn't UV exposed
The reason the Sierra is doing better is because it's around 3 and a half inches higher cause of a 2 inch lift and 20" tires
never gonna buy another ford though, I know if the paint starts chipping on the frame they can start undergoing galvanic corrosion anywhere the steel and aluminum parts meet after a few years
After getting ~140k km on my explorer, the paint was really heavily chipped on the front where it had the letters EXPLORER, and now my F150 is also chipping a bit after a lot of highway driving
thats one way of fixing rusty panels
hell yeah i love road sign repairs
my xj’s floors are similar
rip the biff
may he rest in peace
Hope insurance pays out.
Time to invest in a LED bar.
My brother, insurance will not pay out on a 20 year old rust bucket, and even if it did, all it would affect is my monthly rate going up, I am happy that my plastic bumper didn't crack and also that I can't even tell where the fawn hit on my fog light.
Honestly it sounded so much worse in the recording.
I'm kinda happy to have my light bar.
A light bar would be nice, but there's usually a lot of traffic on that road.
F
I know it looks a bit goofy on my i3S. But she works. And almost prefer the lower license plate mount?
I've gotten used to the looks.
the only time i’ve ever totalled a car hitting deer was in my nice car, every other time i’ve hit one it’s always in one of my shitters and there’s never any significant damage besides a broken bumper/headlight, i swear deer are working for insurance companies lmao
however it’s free tender venison (assuming the deer is still intact) so i don’t mind a whole lot when one gets whacked with my shitboxes
Meat is worth more than the damages done.
is there a reasonable way to make my halogen headlights a bit brighter without installing eye melting (and illegal) LEDs
not entirely sure why but my headlights seem quite dim, I'll check the voltages tomorrow when I can see. Its probably just me being blinded by all the LEDs out there
exactlyy
is the lense clear and not all fogged up?
that’s my biggest fix for halogens, once the lense becomes super foggy it’s like driving around with candles in front of me
dont seem to be fogged, I polished them (not perfectly but a marked improvement) only a few months ago
I think i can see the lights flickering (only brightness dimming) a wee bit sometimes but I'm not sure how normal that is
check any bolts where steel meets aluminum
what ended up being the end of my F450s was galvanic corosion started occuring there and it caused the whole frame to rot and eventually snap
they had SHITLOADS of frame rust though too
anyone care to share their opinions on this shirt design based off a data sheet but for a car?
eh my f150 isn't that old, though there was sum surface rust on the chassis where the wheel well is, so i js sanded it down and rust-spraypainted it. also got it rustproofed now completely. i think it should be fine if i tackle the rust while it's still at the surface, no?
mine mostly got fucked by galvanic corrosion from bare aluminum getting wet it just had tons of surface rust all over the frame too
damn
over here the snow, ice and salt combo really messes shi up, especially if u don't do an undercarriage wash often
I like it
Would work better as a poster. Not sure if I think it's too messy for a shirt design?
I feel that that much detail for a shirt is too much.
Print it out on an A4 paper, and see how that looks when you tape it to a shirt.
Or maybe A3 (A4x2) if you're going with a large print.
Neato. I plugged in the car 3 hours ago. And it has been charging for 10.5 kW the whole time.
Solid charge session.
what's worse 185 / 60 or 185 / 65? both going on an r15 to replace an r16
More sidewall is nice for pretty much everything other than track and taking corners in the highest speed possible
Apparently I hit that fawn so hard that it sheared off the little plastic tab on my fog light. I crawled underneath my car and the thing's unplugged....
Always carry spares
Volvo my beloved
Depends what size the car is meant to have
The diameter will change the speedo accuracy
either it way it would change by 1% basically margin of error at that point
Still, what size is it meant to have?
it can actually have r14, r15 and r16
Cars almost finished being painted wonder how long it will take me to rebuild it
Oh wait I'm actually blind lol that's already in the screenshot
yeah i was also confused why you're asking too hahah
The 65 will probably make the speedo read more accurately to what you're doing, the 60s would make it even less accurate from stock
If i go for 65 it doesn't look tooo bad
I'd be happy to have more side wall more than anything
and the wheels on this thing is borked anyways
it got absolutely wrecked like a couple weeks ago
(yes i'm aware it's 50 aspect ratio on there)

I drive Land Rover Discovery 4, in Nara Bronze. 3.0 Auto.
175k miles on the clock!
Im on the look out for a Range Rover, L322.
this GMC is about to experience horrible things (tornado chasing next year)
It's a modern diesel. It's already experienced horrible things.
what else is wrong with it
rlly bad maintenance or a defect?
DEF and DPF are horrible things
Truly
Fuck yeah went there my whole life got this truck 2 yrs back and been building it with dad
niceee i live under an hour away so i’m there a lot. I gotta build a proper truck for the dunes but shitboxes do for now lol
Not too bad, i’ve got a ranger I kind of want to build but just haven’t gone through and actually started anything with it yet lol
Is it possible to take a 2024 chevy Colorado and put a v6 in it?
my car is absolutely fucked right now and its showing no signs
thermostat housing is cracked and is leaking coolant
LPG system coolant line is leaking BAD
but both of these are above the radiator so it would just empty the reservoir and thats it
no overheating no nothing
i only found it because i looked for it
Quality item
It just wouldn’t move into any gear at all so I just yanked it trying to get it unstuck and it fell off. The little metal bit inside that controls the latch had snapped inside and then I yanked the bitch clean off lol
wait what car is this
It’s an ev lol. I have a shitty manual too
Renault Zoe 2016
i was like "damn i know that cruise control button"
I’m poor bro 😭
❤️
dude im dailying a shitass 15yo renault
Lmao fair doos
thermostat housing is craCKED AND IT SHOWS NO SIGNS
mf throws a nuclear alarm when i dont put the seatbelt on
literally no coolant in the reservoir and it doesnt give a shit
fucking cocksucker
Sounds clapped oml
Ngl both of my shit boxes have been reasonably reliable
Except my ex loosened the wheel bolts on the Renault and that nearly killed me lol but not the cars fault
fiat 500 is impressive in its poor packaging
Wym?
if I recall correctly I cant actually sit in the drivers seat
Oh it’s fine in the front
Good even
Just a bit narrow so u sometimes brush against the passenger
But the backseats are pain for anyone 7 and over
And this is why we stick to older cars
It’s 10?
It’s like one of the first ever evs dawg it’s not fancy
Just gets me colleg and back
That's not old
Does anyone know if an app exists for Android Auto to use a radio with a connected front and rear camera as a continuous recording setup?..
I've sat in the back of one of those once, can confirm the legroom is nonexistant
wait I'm confused what you're trying to record?
gotta fold them legs
Wth are landspider tyres?
landspider
They're tyres that are actually just spiders in disgiuse.

you're massive for an Italian
Fiat does make big cars too
that's pretty new ngl

I’m British lol
Crazy I have like the newest car dawg no one ik has a car older than mine
But who has the oldest car?
Right here right now? Probably me unless you've got something older than 1991 in your collection
Or if you count family collection, 1938
I have a 1967 Volvo
Does it run?
But 1938 is proper old, what car is it?
It did before I started restoring it
International D2 pickup
Well, rusty bits of one
Pickups from that era are nice
what are people's opinion on a 2005 Toyota Yaris 1.5 16v VVT-i T Sport, just out of curiosity
Shitbox go brrr
Buy it, enjoy it, then sell it for someone to do the same
I can get one that engine wise nothing wrong with for 1200 Euro, I am looking into making a few small upgrades like a screen with Android auto and nav build in
its not ment for long drives or anything, mostly just for some fun/hobby car and around the church drives
my shitty french car has now only 2doorlocks that work out of 5
thankfully its a french car... nothing to worry about/s
Micra gaming
yessirrr
I did notice it's abit better in accelerating from 0
not sure if that's related to the wheels or not
also harder to wheelspin
check for rust, it's a big problem for old yaris
other than that it's a pretty good car, corners nice and has good enough power
Almost no rust either, last owner took real good care of it
and here you are, about to absolutely rag it
does anyone know if GM has an offical way to report software security vulns?

Careless driver, smh
nvm apparently its intentional the imobilzer doesn't turn on for commercial vehicles wtf
wheelies aren’t allowed, even on backroads 💔💔
Did you tell the cop "But I'm just a little guy"
basically yeah but apparently they still write you tickets for that, and they also don’t like when you don’t realize their lights are on bc ya don’t have mirrors and had no clue they were behind ya 😄
Oppies.
i’ll go fight the ticket in court and say i’m just a little guy
i’m sure they’ll throw the case out
scroll of despair
Any yall play beamng?
ye
Mod it and such?
Being banned because of safety standards is the biggest crock of shit excuse in the first place. Especially when it's perfectly legal to take a Model T down an interstate that has zero safety equipment whatsoever!
nha, I am planning on using it for a while.. et least for the next few years. so i'll take care of it
It's also kind of important to mention that they don't want to import existing Kei cars, they want to build their own in the US
The issue is like... is it even worth it for the manufacturers to do so? As much as I would love proper city cars back in North America, I don't think it's profitable enough (but I would love to be proven wrong)
Canada, on the other hand, really needs to accept EU safety ratings so we can import European cars
If manufacturers got their shit together, it could be profitable. But they won't, so no it won't be. They have way way too many bean counters for this to ever be profitable in our existing system. A Kei car would end up being 30k instead of 15k
Allowing importing of Kei cars would be the easier way out
for sure, but I don't think that would happen under the current US administration
Of course not
Americans also keep choosing bigger vehicles as if gas is free
I really believe its because they are affordable and the snaller cars do not cost less. Its the, get more for the same price thing. Which, probably plays into the whole, bigger car will also equate to more fuel burned. Which means oil companies make money.
But prove me wrong please
If it's only $1000 and means $5 more per month over 7 years, they're gonna choose the bigger car
Part of the reason I want European cars here in Canada is because our gas prices are way higher here (especially my area), but we're often stuck with USDM vehicles
I laugh when Americans complain about gas prices. Like really? That shit is so cheap in USA
Fr like if there was hypothetically another oil crisis, they'd be so screwed
so would we to be fair
but I'd like to think that smaller more efficient cars are more common here
Since moving to SEA, my perception has changed a lot
Fun haters

like a 3.6L?
or a non GM V6?
I don't think the 3rd and 2nd gen are that different so swapping a 3.6L out of a 3rd gen shouldn't be that hard
I think there's a few V6s on the VSS platform (3rd gen Colorado)
why do you want to swap a V6 in though the TurboMax i4 literally beats any of the V6s ever offered in the Colorado and even some of the V8s in older Silverados in quite literally every respect
If you try swapping in a newer GM V6 and want it to be a fairly easy swap you're gonna have to use a Chinese GM engine fyi
GM does offer a V6 for the VSS platform the Colorado is on just not in the US and not for trucks
You'll have to wait for 7th gen Camaros if you want a V6 (or even V8) that fits that platform kinda directly and aren't Chinese market aluminum blocks
Alpha 2 engines might also fit kinda well like what the Cadillac CT5 uses but fyi those engines are infamously unreliable by even Cadillac standards
Do your research into the VSS and Alpha 2 platforms since they're tied kinda tightly together and share a lot of the electrical work
They limited the 3rd gen Canyons to i4s because there's no point in anything larger anymore. You're already getting into half ton tow ratings on the TurboMax i4 since 2021 if you want any more performance you're better off just getting a half ton
if you're actually familiar with vehicles you could really put whatever you want into a canyon though a dis-similar engine swap into a modern canyon is just like ANY truck made in the past 20 or so years
heck if you really wanted to and wanted to do the probably $40K in electrical work a V10 can go into the canyon
yeah i despise when people just say “oh could i put a v6 in it?” first off, what v6, second off, you can swap anything into any vehicle so long as you have an infinite amount of money and time
it pains me to hear mfers on tiktok say “oh just hellcat/ls/b54 swap it” as if that’s some super easy, trivial thing to do
What about 2JZ swap?
Hellcat and LS swaps are actually pretty simple for dis similar engine swaps
basically everything on them that interfaces with other parts of the vehicle is fairly well documented and can work with basic parts
It's not like a Chevy LSX swap where you're kinda blind with how electrical interfaces work
yeah i’m talking about the “tiktok car people” who’s answer to anything is “oh just swap the motor it’s super easy” but yeah there’s plenty of ls/hellcat swap support which does make things easier
I've done a LSX and LS swap before both on Camaros the LS swap is fucking EASY compared to an LSX swap but holy fuck they make it seem like it's plug n play when there's still TONS of other work to do
Unless you can fully inspect it to make sure nothing is rusted or rotten, don't
It's nearby so im planning to visit it
I'd buy this sight unseen any day!
Dont buy it out from under me or imma be mad asf pls 🙏
found a single strand of christmas lights and put it on the only car in my fleet of shitboxes worthy of christmas lights, my 500k+ mile pontiac vibe
(odometer stopped at 299,999 but based on previous owner’s records plus my own it’s north of 500k, not that it matters bc all this thing ever needs is brakes and oil changes)
I thought pontiacs were notoriously unreliable
meh if it’s got a 3800 v6 or even the 3100 they aint bad, but the vibe is also a rebadged toyota matrix with a 1zz
Our first car when moving here was a pontiac montana
you wouldn't believe the amount of rust that shi had
the achillies heel of early 2000’s gm v6’s were either intake manifold gaskets, coolant elbows, or the transmissions attached to the otherwise super reliable engines
also it's roof in the driver's area leaked a bit
oh yeah those are notorious rust buckets lol
still, no major drivetrain issues
typically the death of those unfortuanatly
we lasted abt 3 months on that before selling it 😭
it’s what killed my 03 malibu too
yup, after some inspections it's chassis was js a lost cause
and then came the good ol 11' gmc terrain
oh heavens
nah i meant like personal stuff
peace of mind yk yk
i see lol
nah for me that was one of the most reliable cars somehow
i drive them until they no longer run, drive, or stop
you got insanely lucky then
damn
wasn't the same for my 14' escape
that was a lemon
both f150's ran beautifully tho
shit what motor was in the escape?
my sister has a 12 escape with the 2.5 and. it won’t die, but the rear shocks are ready to blow through the shock tower at any moment
damn
I was young at the time, don't remember except it was an ecoboost (turbocharged)
ah that would do it
personally not a fan of the ecoboosts especially the early ones lol
buddy of mine is currently selling his 2010 taurus sho with the 3.5 ecoboost that’s needed a trans both turbos and a timing chain in less than 120k miles with regular maintanance lol
very fun car but good lord it’s a money pit and impossible to work on
ah gotcha never owned or experienced one personally
my only f150 i’ve ever had was unkillable but it had the 4.2 v6 and it too was a rustbucket
fr tho it was a zippy little car imo
I've learnt my lesson and I absolutely annihilate any surface rust as soon as it shows up
And get it professionally rust proofed
current status of my envoys frame
yah my nice car gets undercoated and washed regularly
gg 💔 🥀
the garbage vehicles get neglected
lmao
I bought a monthly unlimited wash sub for my nice car 😭
A wash a day keeps the rust away 🔥
for reall
i just try to rinse mine off every weekend on the lift plus it’s undercoated
you've got a lift?! how many cars do u have
i personally don’t but my buddy down the road has four at his farm
i also own like 10 vehicles
but only one is nice
fr
the rest are sub 1000$ vehicles
a vehicle is a vehicle 🤷♂️
man, i'm so tempted by this $10k absolutely gorgeous range rover that i would've gotten if i had a bigger garage to work on it
these are my “good”beaters (and my one nice car)
i was rlly fearing that the next gen would never experience the raw joy of a 5.0l whipple charged v8
this is most of my garbage cars lol
it shall live on 🫡
which ones don't run
yessir it’s the only one worth it lmao
the nissan doesn’t run
the 2500hd barely runs bc blown head gasket
the envoy runs but it has only first gear
has that caused any other damage?
malibu runs but rear subframe is junk
how 😭
that's not a very common thing i see
yeah she’s pretty cooked
buttt it’s the 8.1 big block
4l60e with 5.3l doing 3rd gear burnouts wasn’t a fan
lmao
nice 🔥 the bigger the engine the better
love me a chevy big block
Thankfully I don't live in that country anymore. No worries
where you at now?
@shell mountain okay so funny story this RAM 3500 doesn't have a good starter and on Christmas (today) a crackhead broke into my shop and I mistakenly got into this and for once it started correctly and I was so freaked out driving there I didn't even realize it started the first try
Usually you gotta try and start it like 6-8 times for it to start normally
average stellantis
They did not get through my metal door just fucked up the exterior btw :D
@lone fern Pouring one out for my GFs 2500 tonight
Lost control on a slick patch of road, hit 2 trees on her way down into a ditch
Bali
Similar to this. Someonr tried to break into my BMW 335I one time. But it seems the piggyback tune I had running on it stopped them. Common theme on the internet where thieves have a harder time stealing vehicles with a custom tune.
Its as if the tune is expecting stock coding messages, but the thieves not providing so the car can't start. At least that's what I've read about it.
nooooooo and it was the beautiful green color too 😭
Her dad and I were talking, we’re gonna try to salvage it
godspeed brother i hope the frame’s alright
I think it is. I drove it out from where it landed, seems to still track how it did before
Mazda ❤️
They went back and looked at where it was wrecked, the truck was airborne for a good 5-10 feet
Is that a GMC?
same thing
I've seen way worse than that driving down the road. That's just getting broken in now. Keep driving, its fine
So sad that you say it's roasted. Its perfectly fine
Unfortunately, while it seems fine, there was a bunch of issues that it was having before that had it pretty well mechanically totaled, and this is the trucks 3rd accident
Got over 300k on the clock as well and the LB7 Duramax under the hood is in need of a rebuild
This is the nail in the coffin for this old Chevy
time for a partout 😢
althoughh i do need a passenger side rust free front fender in color 👀
If you want to buy the truck as a whole, if we don’t end up doing anything with it, it’s probably going to end up on marketplace
Runs, drives, should be trailered
CA truck, so it’s rust free
I will probably be stealing the passenger seat out of it to turn into a computer chair tho
gah you’re opposite side of the country 💔
i’m in northern mi
Oof
Got 15,000 or less for my next vehicle. Want something either bulletproof and dumb, think 1990 Golf TDI (not many electronics, just mechanical), or relatively reliable and very high gas mileage, think 2014 prius or camry/corrola hybrid
any recs are appreciated ❤️
Finished building the turbo engine for this one, time to make it somewhat solid.
not sure whether to smooth the welds and do a skim of filler to hide the repairs or leave the welds totally visible. I kind of like the idea of the patches readily visible.
1980s Mercedes W124
There is a reason one that hasn't been abused will still look nearly brand new inside and out to this day. Also why taxi drivers loved them. They are way over engineered like most of the W series were.
buy a mid2000’s corolla with the 1zz and pocket the rest of the money
new floorpan acquired
theres one for sale in my town with a new sound system but its otherwise stock. Perfect interior, working A/C, 140k miles, and hes asking 5k which i will have as of the 2nd
i do really like those inline 6s
didnt know such based content was posted in the LTT discord
Yes yes no tinted windows but really its more safe🤫
holy fishbowl 😭😭
i cannot drive a car without tint i hatee it
my taxes bought that there sign so i must use it
What's the problem with windows without tint?
Poverty spec
Non-tinted is nice. Tbh
No it isnt
my base Golf is worse because there's basically no stock tint
My Golf i got with unknown amounts of kilometers that I paid €311 for doesnt have tint
Sister also has a Golf. And I thought about getting the e-Golf for a hot minute.
idk i just feel way too visible sitting in it lol
i like my privacy
anyways fuck gm’s passlock system it’s got me sitting in the gym parking lot doing a 10 min relearn thing bc it thought i tried to steal it
over here you're not supposed to tint the front though
but I'll do rear windows and hatch at some point
They will run forever too. Dirt simple to work on as its just all mechanical. Not much for electronics. The issues you may end up with are the vacuum systems, but then their are people who will swap that out for non vacuum systems as well if it gets to be too much of a pain. But those cars are just crazy reliable and built like a tank. 140k is nothing for those. People will drive them for over a million miles with relatively little needed to be done. They are slow though. But not unsafe kind of slow. Just don't expect to be racing.
Looking at the condition of the sign... It wasn't your taxes, give it to your parents
Shh
I'd like my rear windows to be tinted but doesnt make sense finacially
Could always buy a roll and do it yourself.
Or there are a bunch of pre-cut inserts that you can get also.
Or you'll just have to live with it.
I dont actually care for tinted windows the only reason I'd get them is for the looks
But I'd rather pay someone to do it
But its like 230 euros for a company near me
Mk7 Golf?
Sounds reasonable enough. Tbh
Just that idk when I'll ever just have 230 euros to spend on something almost useless like this
But maybe someday.
There is a company here that sells pre-cut stuff that you can just place in the car.
Looked it up for the Mk7 and it's like €130 over here.
https://solarplexius.se/se/product/volkswagen-golf-2/?bodyType=5-door&modelYear=2013&variation_id=15786#carfinder-form
But spending €100 extra to have someone properly install it could be worth it. If you're going that route.
The big issue as I see it with Solarplexius is that the tints don't go down with the windows if you're lowering them.
Makes it a hard pass for me on normal cars.
😂😂 it’d be a perfect late christmas gift lmao
anyone know any decently reliable newer hybrid?
if this guy sells the 300d before i can get my hands on it, my current backup is a prius. A dealership near me has a whole fleet of 2020 prius and corrola hybrids between 60-90k miles and for like 14-18k
Any Toyota one
Those sound like ex taxis or something 🤔
Lotta miles in 5 years
Still perfectly fine though
i usually wouldnt want a prius... but 60mpg...
id fill up once every 2 months
id still prefer something dumb, mechanical, and diesel, but it doesnt seem like people who own 80s-90s golf TDIs wanna sell them
The corolla has the same drivetrain, unless it's the 2 litre then it's the newer version
so the corrola would get better or worse gas mileage? Id assume better theyre smaller
Idk, look at the specs
Prius is probably marginally better due to shape
Why you SHOULD Redline your car engine! Redlining an Engine is healthy for it's long-term reliability as it clears up Carbon Deposits while also properly seating Piston Rings into Cylinder walls...yes even during break-in. Especially During Break-in Periods. Do not just keep a steady low RPM during Break-in as you are teaching the engine one s...
Could this be why my car stopped gubbling up 1 litre of oil per 1000 km?
Now it's like 1l per 5000 km
https://www.motor1.com/news/782975/arizona-remove-speed-limits-rural-highways/
What could possibly go right¿
Everything could go right
on one hand I like the idea, but I've heard really bad things about how easy it is to get a license in the US
the reason why you can have some parts of the Autobahn is bcs driver training is relatively expensive but very thorough in Germany
in the US I have a feeling that this will just be abused
Semi's are a whole other world lmfao
This only works if you maintain the road like a german
And make it much harder to get a license
Toyota Prius Prime or phev
Its why you'll have more problems with your car if you don't rip it every so often. Gave my car to my parents who baby it and barely go over 2000rpm ever. Car has had way more issues ever since. I had essentially zero issues and I would take it up to redline almost every time I drove it, once it was fully warmed up.
Had my car for 3 years and I had no issues beside the vvt valve breaking.
Yeah I had a BMW 335I, first year it was made. Well known for having it's fair share of 1st year issues and all sorts of problems.
I swapped out the common failure points early in it's life. Added an oil cooler, put in a steel chargepipe, and swapped out the water pump.
Drove it for 11 years and it never let me down a single time.
It's just the written and physical tests, then a full license.
Why bother at this point.
I live in a country where tests are not mandatory and I struggle to even see accidents..I could drive for an hour in Canada and see multiple
Oklahoma's roads are horribly paved & horribly patched.
Doesn't matter how cheap or expensive your suspension system is, you're gonna feel the potholes & uneven patchwork regardless.
I laugh at that. Go live in another country for a few years and go back to Oklahoma. You'll be much more grateful 😂
When I took Driver's Ed in high school 15+ years ago, our driving coaches told us that Oklahoma State Highway Patrol got rid of parallel parking from the exam earlier that year. They also mentioned that once they did that, the Pass:Fail ratio had flipped dramatically, because too many people were so worried about parallel parking [thinking it's way more (dramatically) difficult than it actually is], they forgot to practice on the other more important segments; so they just failed instead.
I lived in NoVA for the first decade of my life, and the roads there are way better than greater OKC. Hell even the roads in Texas are properly maintained.
Try Bali, or maybe south America. Or Madagascar. You'll get a fun experience. There is a reason why Toyota Land Cruisers are so popular in these places
One of my cousins works for Toyota's US corporate office in Plano. Funny thing is that her husband has a late 2010s Sequoia, her older brother had an early 2000s Land Cruiser, whose eldest son has an early 2020s 4Runner, she previously had an early 2000s 4Runner when she worked at Texas Instruments two decades ago and still had it until a few years ago, their daughter has a Lexus NX,
I'm in Bali and it's flooded with 70 and 80 series land cruisers that look perfect. And there is a reason for it. Shops are everywhere for restoring them too. My Buddy from Vancouver is very jealous of how common they are here
Why would you want a hybrid?
Probably thinking lower consumption?
I'll ask you, why not?
You provide the reasons why not first. Then we'll counter
More stuff to go wrong. Tbh
Do you have evidence for hybrids being unreliable? Because a Prius has been known to be insanely reliable. Even taxi drivers driving them for ridiculous amounts of miles.
I'm not trying to be an ahole, just trying to get real.
Never said they were more unreliable. Just said that they usually have more stuff that could go wrong.
Priuses are basically cockroaches.
They tend to have less stuff to go wrong actually
They have no alternator
No starter
The power steering and AC are electric, not on the engine
Why wouldn't you want a hybrid as a daily? They're fucking great
How are they better than diesel cars?
... If that's a serious question, I'm not even going to attempt to educate you, please go do some basic research
And hybrids have no resale value because no one wants them
Driving a diesel is so cheap
so you're just stupid then, got it
And car stores are too scared to sell hybrids to customers so they're really cheap at auctions
Living in an alternate reality
At least the ones that have been driven like 70 000km
No, i just live in a climate that hybrids dont really like and then they break
Not sure that's the case with Prius and other Toyota, but in general PHEVs definitely drop in value massively once they are out of the battery warranty coverage
Many PHEVs also have worse recorded reliability, not every hybrid is a Toyota Prius
i know people with hybrids in some cold places and they are just fine, so do you live in a volcano or something
Simple solution, only buy Toyotas 😉
You can get almost every model as a hybrid now
Even simpler solution, buy a diesel
They use like 3.5l/100km on highways
I would if it wouldn't mean I had to put up with the Toyota driving experience, or rather lack thereof
Sounds like a skill issue
Most Toyotas are just really boring to drive
I have driven few cars that feel worse to drive than Hilux and Avensis
Old Corollas are nice though
https://evclinic.eu/2024/11/03/which-used-ev-to-buy-a-beginners-guide/ search with your browser the place where they talk about the hybrid Prius
Ignore the slightly AI picture
Website ran by actual Idiots
This picture on their website is very interesting
Why does the internal combustion engine engine plig in heybrid car not have any place for humans?
some garbage ai picture
Was on some EV Clinic website the newspaper talked about in like January or something
ah yes the plug in hybrid and the PLUG-IN hybrid
I am having so much fun..
decided I would spend my holidays making a parts car roadworthy again, poor choice.
about to sell out of all my 305's and drive ladas instead.
i thought my car was kinda bad with rust damn
this one is pretty damn bad, but not terrible.
If any panels were available for this car it would be a piece of cake.
i can get panels for my car but they fit like shit
better than nothing, welding ladas is great as you can get literally everything
the car is mot exempt so it doesent have to be 100% just good enough to make it appear as not a complete death trap
damn lmao
what a beast
holy shit the plum crazy neon coupe is tough please tell me you bought it
if you were in mi i would buy that from you right now i love old shitty silly econoboxes
yep it's all mine
I payed 550 for it
it has a salvage title with 177000 miles on it
that's awesome
oh my god i need this
if you ever come up to mi i’ll buy that holy shit it’d look great in my fleet of shitboxes
i’m gonna look at a 2001 cavalier tomorrow that’s an absolute pile of shit but i must collect alll of these lame forgotten economy cars
how many cars do you have?
10 now if we include my derby car
all of them are shit besides my daily (2018 buick regal)
however my regal is at a detail shop because i left an energy drink in the car and it froze and exploded and i do not like my car being stained orange
I keep forgetting that Doug Demuro has a sick garage...
Turbo, supercharged, naturally-aspirated. 6, 8, 10, 12 cylinders. All-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. And most importantly: three pedals
(remember, if you have nothing nice to say; just share it with your friends so they have to see it too!)

TOLD YOU.
Allow me to spoil it for you: it isn't limited to SUVs.
My video demonstrating similar issue on track: https://t.co/GwZZbiRdjG
would rather have that E46 M3 over any modern beemer
I'd be good with a 36 325is
Keep in mind that electronic Steer-By-Wire isn't exclusive to BMW, nor is it entirely new to the automotive industry.
AirBus was the first to use it on their aircrafts.
My sister had a 2009 Toyota Corolla LE, and it used electronic power steering, whereas my 2009 Honda CR-V LX uses Hydraulic power steering.
Steer by wire and electric power steering are two very different things
The X3 has electric power steering
"Hybrad" & "Heybrid"
There was one point within the previous decade where one of the Toyota executives said "We will no longer be making 'boring' cars" during a keynote. That's when they really started to amp up their design and performance (even partnering with Yamaha Motors in some instances)
I'm more of a Honda/Acura (especially K-Series engines) guy, but there might be a Toyota/Lexus or few I'd also get.
low insurance payment, nice interior, good sound system, cheap, reliable (as far as new cars go), and 60mpg
id LOVE a 1985-1995 Golf TDI, but theres just none for sale anywhere nearby
i like dumb oonga bunga v8s and diesel motors, but theres TONS of newer priuses and corolla hybrids for under 20k in my town
Opinion:
If RAM is so dependent on selling V8s, and sales go up so quick after bringing it back, they should just bring out a turbo V8. Especially with stelantis being European and loving turbo engines, just develop a Hemi V8 and satisfy all. It would be a very standout feature for the American market. Take the hemi, turbo it to different levels.
The hurricane was obviously met with severe dislike
60mpg is less miles per gallon than a diesel E220 and you dont get an engine the entire time
If you're bringing back the hemi like they have, redo it as a turbo version since your customers clearly want a V8.
Not sure if you folks are into off roading at all. All of those are on one ton axles. The TJ is a 4800 Spec for Ultra 4 with a cammed LS3, built TH400 etc..
I wish i could do that kind of offroad here we just have mud
hell yeah
got my car back from the detail place and boy does it look a lot better without orange creamsicle reign energy drink stains all over it
anyways i will not be leaving full unopened cans in my car ever again during the winter lmao
Won't meet emissions
And would be incredibly inefficient
where are you located?
Doesn't need to be. In the same truck they have a 6.2L supercharged V8 that gets trash mileage. Its not like the i6 is efficient anyhow. Its mileage rating is nearly the same as the hemi was.
There were plenty of examples of V8 sports cars in the past that would even get close to 30mpg on the highway.
Yes and that's gearing and good engineering
Two things that work against trucks and dodge
lamborghini
That don't matter much. Electric city buses manage to do just fine
Electric city busses have massive batteries, don't go fast often and get recharged often
Why are you comparing these to an American v8
You brought up aerodynamics. Trucks don't need to go fast either. They are trucks, not race cars After all.
They need massive amounts of power and torque to tow and haul heavy, very slowly and controlled.
They're pickup trucks not semi trucks
Yeah they're to be used for towing and hauling...
Not for taking the kids to school and going to meet the other soccer moms
not here in america unfortunately 🫠
There in lies the issue... People buying vehicles for the 1% time they'll need instead of 99% of what they need it for. Like, "oh yeah one day I may buy a horse or two, so I'll buy a huge ass truck in case that happens"
The netherlands
Friend of mine drives an electric Scania from time to time. Much prefers it over the diesel trucks.
Yeah, a small digger, car transporter, tipper full of driveway gravel or whatever... Occasionally. The rest of the time it's used to do the shopping or take the kids to school
Going 75 down the freeway
Yeah nice and slow as I said.
75mph isn't slow
Mph? What is that?
In Canada they have been since the beginning
Even way back in the 1940's in the imperial times
Canada barely counts as a seperate country
There's a border, a different government and a different culture but the rest is the same
Cars, building standards, electrical standards...
"What the fuck is a kilometer?"
Its what the rest of the world outside of that 3rd world country uses. Metric
Cars are not the same lol.
are you actually this clueless or are you a troll?
Hence completely different recalls for USA versions of the cars
Also have American versions get 2WD versions of cars, whereas Canada will only have AWD versions
USA gets the Ford lightning Pro work trim, Canada does not.
So you are just this clueless
I just gave you multiple examples of differences
Lookup BMW N54 turbo warranty on USA. They got extended warranty and free turbo replacements. Canada did not. Its another example of how the Canadian market and cars, are not at all treated the same as the USA versions.
didnt edison motors have a problem with a rule that needed to be changed in USA so they can get the trucks legal in canada
Want to hear something magical?
1 fl oz of water doesn't weight the same as 1 ounce.
And 1 fluid ounce isn't the same as 1 fluid ounce.
You have 1 US fluid ounce, and 1 UK fluid ounce.
One issue they had, is that they wanted to use an engine built for 'off-road' use. And go around the whole emissions dealio.
yeah they see it as a off road use generator
But if you're planning to use a vehicle for the vast majority on public roads, then it has to be emissions compliant. Even if it's a hybrid or not.
Would yall call this tasteful for terrible?
Someone stole your cats?
Terrible. Tbh
This is the stock exhaust, mufflers, cats, no leaks. It’s a 2 cylinder.
Fair enough 🥀🥀🥀
Sounds like a FartJar™.
It's a Fiat 500?
Ye
Didn't know they made a 2 cylinder. Honestly.
It’s a twinair with slight burble map, I didn’t want it to sound annoying my neighbours don’t like me already 💀
Twinair, rlly kewl engine :) they still make them today!
Mines making around 110 hp which is p good I think
Which is why I thought it sounded like one.
Si 💔
Yeh it’s a bike engine with a turbo more or less
Let me find something, and you can guess which car it is.
Okaye :3
No idea but it sounds like it’s gonna eat me 😭
A hint is that it's in the same class as the 500.
Dawg I ain got no clue
Awe I love those :3 but why it sound like it’s possessed by demons?
I guess 3 cylinders just do that.
Crazy 😭
I almost prefer the sound of 3 cylinders over modern dull 4 pots.
isn't 3 an unbalanced design compared to 4
nah three is balanced cause 120+120+120 is 360
three cylinders sound peak
2 runs like a bastard, twin air has this balancing shaft in the engine to counter it
anyone see the color blue on a car and instantly think “subie” even if it isn’t a subaru?
no
This is correct in that it is less balanced.
Exquisitely delightful! An actual real truck that could do real work.
2015 Mustang GT 50th year with performance pack and stage 2 plus tunes and mods.
