I drove my gf and myself to a Nissan Red Stage dealership about an hour and a half from her home, during a dark rainy night.
I happily discovered that not only did I have headroom, it was abundant in all four seats.
I never expected a test drive.

I've mostly seen people complain about having to stop for a long time and charge with EVs, and that's a case for all, just a matter of distance. Not everyone likes stopping for a what I would consider a long time. And lack of places to charge, not everywhere is full of charging stations, yet.
