what no one thinks about with the cybertruck is that its body panels are all exposed steel, you can just weld them shut, or if they are parked next to each other you can weld them together, and i doubt anyone who owns a cybertruck has access to an angle grinder so they cant open it without calling someone. you probably dont even have to grind anything off the surface of them as well as they have no coating on top of the bare steel. the only problem is that you need a way to weld them so just figure that out and you are good to go

Is it stupid if having push button gear selection is putting me off of otherwise solid car deals 😐 my old car is becoming more and more unreliable so I'm looking to get into something newer but all the good deals I can find on higher end 2015+ model year cars have no shifter, just buttons you push or dials you turn to go into gear. That's always been stupid to me but idk if it's more stupid that that one thing is what's got me disinterested in all these listings that would otherwise be good deals

Like, I'm looking for an AWD sedan with a decent amount of Luxury features, and the best one I've found so far only comes with push button shifting, meanwhile its much larger full size sedan platform brother has the same drivetrain with all the same features, but it retains a normal shifter, so even though I'd normally prefer the smaller platform, I'm leaning more towards the larger one simply because of the shifter being normal lol. So no matter what, it's gonna be a compromise, at least if I do end up sticking with this make for my final decision. All of the other makes and models I've considered have had pretty bad issues I'm not a fan of.

That's a bit of an embarrassing story... Multiple family members of mine drive Subaru's, and for some reason, just being in their cars for extended periods of time causes me to have weird symptoms like headaches, nausea, and stomach cramps. It's almost like car sickness, except it still happens even just sitting in their cars for 20+ minutes while not moving at all. We have no idea why it happens. Maybe some adhesive Subaru uses on their interiors that I have an adverse reaction to? Though more likely, something that those family members do to their cars specifically, like an air freshener or something that I have a reaction to... Idk, all I know is that of the four Subaru's I've spent extended periods of time in (2013 Crosstrek, 2023 Crosstrek, 2017 Forester, 2018 Forester) all of them have caused this to happen. I'd be interested in an Impreza, I'd just have to sit in it for a couple hours to make sure it doesn't give me a headache lol.

Fair enough. Some I know do indeed use some cleaning products whose smells linger far too long after use. I would visit a dealership and do some test driving to see if it's the cars themselves or whatever your family members were doing to the models they owned.

Test drives I normally do at a salvage yard I live near. Rather than a dealership where you have to give over a bunch of info and junk to be able to test drive stuff, this yard sells salvage title vehicles for rebuild projects and you can just walk in and ask for the keys and they'll let you drive any car around the lot for a while. Over the last few years I've gotten to test drive a police charger, and pretty much learned how to drive stick in the cars on that lot lol. My family's bought multiple rebuild projects from that lot that are still being daily'd to this day so they're happy to let me look at whatever I want to.

It won't really be a good indication of what a good condition (read; clean title) Subaru would drive like but at least it should let me figure out whether they give me headaches or not. These are the ones they currently have listed and I'm gonna be honest I didn't know the Baja existed until seeing it on this site a few weeks back lol

Ah jeez, there are AWD Subaru's that come with Manuals 😭 that sounds so cool but now I'm gonna have to decide whether it's gonna be worth it to daily a stick in the winter

GT was originally a trim level of the 86 but eventually they stopped bothering with pov spec models and just sold the GT86, and now the GR86 in the 2nd gen

2017 the 86 was facelifted and the engine of the manual model got some changes, this is identified by the red intake, the manual BRZ got this at some point later iirc

I have 2 options, one is more likely:

• Option 1, the more likely option is a budget of £25-30k for a brand new car, must be able to factory spec it kinda new, and it has to be decent on insurance as I’m only young and live in the UK so insurance is wild

Guessing that's there's maybe €2,500 worth to fix up on it if I want it to pass inspection.
