Update on effed 98 crv: changed oil and filter, no more misfire! Still burns oil pretty good though. Seems the previous owner didn’t bother changing the filter, as it was super, super rusty and I cut it open to find sparkly bits and a few chunks of what I can only assume is the piston rings and shavings from the cylinder wall. Since it’s a honda, I’ll keep driving it till she blows and put a junkyard b20 in it. I learned this car spent (from new) its life in california until 2019, so it’s super super rust free
