Damn you're right there is a latch
Beats me then
Everything seems to be in functioning order
ew wtf is this filter
Plymouth
Definitely a Plymouth
Used one of those in the long drive
Maybe a fury ? Idk I'm just saying shit from the long drive
Other guy found it, said its a Plymouth Savoy
Peak
making the speaker adapters for my s60 rn
Holy moly
anyone else been following the 12 rotor saga on youtube. I so want to make my own now. I have a buddy that can machine everything for me too I would just have to pay for tools and stock to machine it. I already have committed to a rotary swap for my drift truck build.
chainsaw powered car
Anyone know a good first car? ( i have driven my moms car for around half a year now), manual, petrol, i live in norway and not a car like a toyota yaris. budget 10k usd and here is the list of avalible cars that fits my budget:
if you want to make a 12 rotor you need to be rich to be able to
No offence but this is definitely the peak of Mt. Stupid before the valley of despair.
A Toyota that isn't a Yaris then.
im not the peak anymore it seem
the honda accord was rusted
hes the "dad hate toyota and japanese car" guy
and same with the other toyota i watched
yes
You can't ask for a good first car and say no to the good first cars
bruh
Not doing this again
hahaha
wish is exactly why i never asked for a good first car here (or did i)
okay, but why should i not buy a " good " first car?
cause i know i would be stupid asf and still ignore it
i mean if its rusted a toyota aint the best choice, saw some car here get denied the inspection cause rust
I watched multiple japaneese cars
Under the car, it was so much rust
and also the engines on the cars are driven like rentals
@dull cedar How is the Opel Calibra
am i still allowed to ping you
Yes
What car did you end up buying?
But I will buttershark you if you annoy me (and don't buy a Toyota)
so far nothing, still looking, also dont have my license yet
i accept my fate
prepare the shark ethan, for i am not buying a toyota
I found a 1999 toyota corola driven 5k for 7k usd
only driven in the summer by and old dude
is that a w or l?
Cars that don't get used enough develop their own problems.
every car is always driven only in the summer by an old dude
at least when they get sold
yee
true
i did some researh on the prince engine, and some people say its good if you maintain it properly
but idk
yee
idk
ethan man can more then me
I wont buy a car with it anyways
ethan quick question, if i didnt get a toyota what brand would you recommend instead ? just looking rn and man toyota's are ugly
I'ma bonk you
Some Hondas are fine
Some Subarus are fine
dont buy honda accord
go ahead i still aint getting a toyota
it is a boat on the road
too big for a first car anyway
Though chances are you're not gonna like the looks of any good car in your budget lol
yeah
thats why i looked at the 207 rc, it was small
aye personally i like the 206cc, and there is quite a lot of coupe i like in the budget
btw
budget is 8k now
planning to get a job
how old r u?
and aunt is helping me
currently 16, will get license at 17 this year
france
ahhh
That's why I specifically said good car. The 206cc ain't that
that changed this year in france, license allowed at 17 now
to you a good car is a bland reliable car im guessing ? (bonus point if toyota)
if you buy a peugot it will be 10000 parts for your car
No. Just reliable
like its super easy to find parts
aye fair enough
They're just bland because your budget is low lol
My uncle says they rust alot
And what Mazdas are in your budget lol?
mazda 3 mostly, or an mx5 if i wanted to go bankrupt over repairs (i dont)
Yeah no then lol
why?
mazda 3 is a little big
there is quite a surprising amount of mx5's with only 60-100k km in my budget, wont get one for first cause rwd, whats wrong with the mazda 3 ?
he just bias
jk
hahaha
@dull cedaranything wrong with opel ? there is a pretty neat looking opel adam fitting in my budget
i heard opels are absolute dogshit
GM trash
2013 was already bought by gm ?
Just dont buy a car brand owned by stellantis and Ethan will be happy
Uh yes I'd say 2013 is after 1929
oh oopsy 💀
It was owned by the American automaker General Motors from 1929 until 2017 and the PSA Group prior to its merger with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to form Stellantis in 2021
what about golfs ?
Vwag will punish you
bought by GM then stellantis, cant get a single W from opel
overpriced
who is that and why
I call the 3 the japanese golf
It's one of few cars I hate purely because of the owners
I've met quite a few and they've all been assholes
It seems to be a requirement of owning one
very very fair point
same reason i hate bmw's
their owners are assholes
honestly ethan i kinda considered doing what you recommended me for the toyota but they are so fucking overpriced its crazy
bmw looks good
meh
newer ones look like a bad piggy character
true
but the old e90
Looks soo good
but is sooo unrealible
paying 8k for a 2000's corolla with 90k km is ehhhhh
looks like a nitendo spaceship
Good deal
Will outlive you
Cheap cars are cheap for a reason
Is it no cheap cars with looks - reability - cheap?
Other than collector stuff or whatever stuff, cars are generally priced based on how they function as a car, regardless of age, hence an old Toyota costing as much as some newer garbage
eh true but buying it mean i wont ever get an excuse to get a funny car cause it'll never die
true
Then don't use it dying as an excuse to replace it
It's best if it doesn't die, because then you can sell it onto some other person wanting a first car
And then you'll have a few thousand to spend
because you dont have to spend as much maintaining it?
upgrade through Toyotas until you're driving something stupid like A lexus IS F or GR Yaris
thats a fair point
if only lexus was popular here
ngl ill prolly try negociating to lower the price of the toyota at around 5.5k or sum
f this shit, ill buy the honda accord, and save up for a more expensive car later
I usually say to not treat a car as an investment (like caring how much it'll sell for later) but this is a good time to
aye fair enouogh
if i manage to negociate with the dude to knock off a bit of the price
ill go with a corolla
and shit this one aint even too ugly for once
and a low mileage too
None of what's currently for sale will be for sale when you plan to buy it anyway
So look again later
Ill buy the accord
im going to buy it tomorrow
wish me luck
i know that im just currently getting as much knowdlege as i can
have a good sleep
if it make you feel better
ill go with a toyota
IF
i find one decent enough
toyota supra
Hop off
new gas strut is a little to strong
lol
No
Oh shit I didn't know that. Fucking rip
Corsa D/E platform, quite reliable cars
Diesels are less when driven short distances (so are all diesels, but especially for smaller cars with diesels)
Turboless petrols aren't amazingly fast but reliable
Turbo version's are quite decent
Main thing to look out for is just to keep the oil level at MAX all the time.
People run them on low oil and then they're surprised the timing chain stretches 🥹
As much as I would like a diesel for the better fuel milage. I drive too short distances for it to make sense.
I'll just kill a diesel
But also. Hate how diesels sound compared to petrol.
With trucks, then it's fine. Because you don't have many alternatives.
An EV would really be ideal for me.
Since I only drive <15 km to work. Same distance back. And it's many times traffic on the way back.
Other than that, I drive a few km's to the store and back.
It's maybe 4 km's to the store.
In order to put the Hyundai Ioniq 5N in perspective, we went looking for a car that did similar things. We didn't expect the Ferrari Lusso to be so similar. Skeptical? So were we. Join us as we drive this EV CUV that's trying to be fun by being a mimic of gasoline cars. It's a strange comparison for a strange world.
Thanks for watching!
Be sur...
The 5N is stupid fast.
Hyundai is cooking ngl
Ioniq 5 is pretty sizeable, though. Images make it look smaller than it is.
I just can't get past the sticker shock.
Sticker shock and the stupid fake sounds and transmission
It's the final evolution of the horrible soundaktor that VWs have pioneering for decades now
Even when Hyundai isn't copying other companies they're so effing insecure, they cant just embrace the powertrain that they have
full ev stupid, but IMO the fake sounds and transmission is the way to do it because it provides feedback critical for effective spirited driving.
Corsas are the most boring cars I've seen ngl
Ehhh hard disagree. There are better ways to give feedback. Like, a communicative suspension/steering setup? And if you have to have sounds, just amplify the electric powertrain, it can be done in ways that aren't stupidly fake
12 seconds · Clipped by Cole McCray · Original video "Tesla Model S, Fully Tuned: Saleen ST - XCAR" by Carfection
WRC driver Hayden Paddon has debuted his EV Rally Car project at the Waimate 50 HillClimb in incredibly successful fashion, using the Triple Motor Electric Monster to win the event outright.
Fully bespoke and built by Paddon´s own Team (Paddon RallySport), this Hyundai Kona EV Rally Car was raced here in HillClimb-trim, using all electric motors...
facts. would be a great competitor to the mache
oh even has gears, so good
mach e isnt even rally car
it's the only role its competitive in lmao
wha
theres a gear indicator on the dash, left side
Same. It's an expensive car.
Don't even care which brand is on the front.
Oh huh. Never noticed that, nice spot
i mean maybe you should a lil, modern hyundais have horrible longevity

They do?
Working in rental cars for 6 years thru '21 and having rented several since then, they look and feel awesome for about 2 years or 30k miles, and then they disintegrate
The number of those and Kias and Geneses that had literal holes worn straight thru the cabin floor and steering wheels falling apart before clocking over 20k miles was unreal
Even Dodges/Chryslers weren't that bad, and those suck
It fits!
We got a 2020 Palisade with like 70k on it that has treated us well thus far. But yeah, those Hyundai engines sound horrible. Even brand new the valvetrain makes your bumm pucker.
There are definitely more boring cars to look at ... But sure that can be your opinion
Adam is just a shortened Corsa D/E platform
nice blackhole
Fr
to be fair ICE cars can also have fake sounds, just uhhh a bit less fake
Onto the printer
I think DS is also worth checking
The brand started as premium citroen
ps
stretched car
slowly improving (they'll still put the most dogshit 2 cylinder engine in them)
I think you're right but the way they look I like them .
If they only put something bigger 1.6 under the hood but it won't happen
DS is still a Citroen to me.
suckured
rip
They never had 2-cyl
Irony
Im saying they'll put underpowered engine in those everytime
And unreliable ones too
Does anyone know how to make it so I can use cruise control in this stupid rental car?
if it doesnt have it, theres no safe way to add it
i can think of a "throttle control" system but it includes sticking a stick onto the gas pedal and adjusting it till youre on the speeds you want lol
so its dangerous af, can easily get stuck on full throttle
First of all. What car is it?
And does it even have cruise control in the first place?
🧱
thats lowkey worse
u can atleast pull the stick out since one side of it will always be somewhat close to you
but a brick is always far from your hand
I don't know.
Could get the throttle stuck unwillingly. Like what could happen in the Cybertruck.
Not had to do much night driving since leaving my old job but I am reminded today how much I hate it
Driving at night when it's raining is the worst. tbh
Working when it's a clear night, however. That's lovely.
No traffic, or anything.
Enough oncoming traffic to delete my eyeballs
Oh, yeah. That's THE WORST
Bright aimed within a inch of their life legal headlights are all fair and well in a perfectly flat country but the level changes constantly here
I picked up my sister's puppy a few years ago back around October.
Not only did I drive like 1,200 km's that day. But we came home at around 9 pm or something like that.
LED HID ultra laser beam 9000 coming round the bend at the top of the hill to give you a quick laser eye surgery before you take a corner at 60mph
I can see why people are buying SUV's, its over.
And I have like literally perfect eyesight its only going to get harder to be able to see anything
Try to give myself an immunity by welding without a mask
My father had the mindset of "These stronger headlights are going to make it harder for me to get binded by other drivers!"
I asked him - How?
Since how good your headhlights are have no say in the matter how blinded you get.
He said by blinding them even more.
It does have cruise control
Was it at a stupid place behind the steering wheel? Like an extra column?
It's a newer Corolla
I've tried cleaning the front
And I've tried a second time and will see if it finally works
I'm guessing that there's an on/off button for the cruise control. And that you can set the speed after that.
If it's this steering wheel. Then try pressing that buttons.
my dad has a citroen ds4
but he has 3 other cars
he never drives the ds4
its a lovely car imo
I bet
Is a 2003 Thunderbird a bad car?
I thought about getting one once I have the cash for it
They're fine cars. Nothing super special about them except for the styling, but they're totally okay!
just needs retouch paint and done
😬 r u fine
Couldn't tell you.
You would need a shop to look her over. I don't know how the rock was like, but at best you need to replace the radiators and stuff in the front.
At worst you would be looking at a cracked engine block.
A bunch of suspension is damaged, too. Man. That's rough.
I hope that you all came out Ok.
im alright, not hurt at all despite experiencing 3g's while slamming into a rock wall
the airbags also did not deploy
stronk man
also i had the car loaded onto a flatbed truck and taken to the local toyota repair center
another thing, the car still starts, heater works, everything works
except the driving bit
it does not want to go into gear, and tells me "Check AWD System" and "TRAC OFF"
Looked like the front right suspension got fuckered.
Hopefully it's just fixing the bumper, side panel, suspension, and possible radiator and AC stuff that probably also broke.
that AC stuff is fixed
ayy toyota
toyota: making the most reliable vehicles known to man
did yall ever watch that video of top gear trying to kill a toyota hilux
yes
I can't imagine the AC working for long after an incident like that. But damn if it does.
whistlindiesel also tried same, its really stronk
remember they put the truck on top of a skyscraper, then BLEW UP the skyscraper
small problem, my car is not a toyota hilux
its a toyota highlander from 10 years ago
still tho its strong af

Welcome ...
toyota is built different fr 🗣
Can confirm; it's nearly impossible to destroy a Hilux. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl1FNX08HFc
The first of a 100,000 part series. How durable is a diesel hilux? Let’s put it under the most ABSURD tests and find out.
I think throttle house managed to do it, they drove too fast over the sand dune, jumped and broke the radiator.
The biggest problem for me with Toyota is that lack of spark for going fast, being drivers car. Honda have that according to it's funder. I mean if Toyota wants to make car for petrol heads that drives good they proved they can do it. They just don't add that mojo to every car they make in comparison to Honda or Mazda.
Just (type of car) car nothing more nothing less but good and reliable.
Honda is the goat when it comes to engines, but their cars aside from a few are far from excellent (especially when it comes to rust). I heard someone say once that Honda is an engine company that makes cars because it’s easier to sell (or something to that effect)
Volvo is clearly better in every aspect because I said so
You haven't driven many toyotas
Or Hondas and Mazdas for that matter
You are right
Also I nearly had a stroke trying to read that
I've driven a lot of different cars that friends and family own.... And yet my 1994 Corolla is the most fun one to drive
My celica would probably be more fun but I only drove it up the street and back before ripping the engine out
Lol no
The celica's engine was fucked
The Corolla is an absolute beater
330k very hard kilometers
It's too stubborn to ever die
Checked the oil once after a hard few days and there was none on the stick 💀
And it was fine
Pre-2014 Corolla's are built like tanks. So long as you do minimal maintenance, they'll go forever.
Post 2014s still are
Good to know. (I just haven't met anyone with a post-2012 Corolla yet.)
Toyota haven't stopped doing what they do well lol
I'd say we're in the modern equivalent of the 80s/90s now for toyota
Things are getting spicy again
GR86, GRC&GRY, and GR Supra
And the Celica is returning too
Wasn't there like lawsuit because frames in Tacomas were rusting
Toyota america are a joke
No idea. I don't follow anything to do with Toyata trucks if it's not a Hilux. If I want a small truck, it'll either be a Hilux, a Subaru Sambar, or some kind of small Mazda truck. Or maybe a Subaru Baja for lulz.
Hoping for a G20E engine with both NA and turbo variants
Modern 3S plsssss
Will it be another car for 20 year olds but with 40 year olds price tag?
I'm so disappointed with this
the i5s are better
I know
totally isnt biased because i have a 66k mile 07 s60
I think they fit perfectly in mk2 focus
im still mad they didnt have them here
2.3 was NA Mazda engine right? they didn't even use turbo variant
I think this is just unpredictability of us market
If the Taliban doesn't use it I don't want it 🗣️ 🗣️ 💯 💯
im not too bothered though we at least have the p2r's
Hey y'all, Is it worthy buying a 1993 Corolla as my first car?
i wish it was in france too
@dull cedar your time to shine
It is you're just extra broke lol
Abso-fucking-lutely yes, do it
💀 didnt have to call me out like that
8k isnt that bad

Daaamn Really, But I feel like it's a bit old isn't it? Like are there any perks for buying that car?
8k is already twice the avg budget for a new driver here
Perk: shitbox that won't die
it'll outlast you, your grandkids, your grand grand kids, in fact it'll outlast the planet
WHAT?
You also have a taste issue
WAIT WHAT?
hey sorry for not wanting the world most boring cars ever made, those corollas look god dang awfull, i like the 90s one not the newer one
DAMN BUT HOWW😭😭
Because Toyota know how to make cars.
wish there was more 90s corolla round here
There are lots in here and ngl I've seen most of the guys make that specific car as their first car
is my taste really that bad
Is that your car?
nice
why do those refuse to exist in france bruh
i'd get one instantly
there only is aygo
which are ehhh
too small for my taste
aint saying i want a massive pick up
but like if the car is a bit bigger than a aygo it'd be great
A prius?
Or a Honda Jazz
Lol the camera lies
doesnt exist either i think
Or maybe something like a Nissan Altima
the altima is a no just because of the stereotypes about it
jesus christ 8k for a 200k km prius ?
@dull cedaris this a joke or is that even supposed to be normal
That's normal
Daamn really
There are Priuses everywhere ngl
200k ain't shit on a prius
france
still
Ofc they're Durable as hell
They last forever and they're cheap to run
Daamn really Like what?
fair enough
driven by assholes who got nothing to lose, also there isnt any left without scratches, dent and other shit
They still exist pretty well in France eeh?😭
they do
but most are out of budget
Daaamn really?🤐
Fr though
yes
200K Km is Nothing for a Prius
Trust me frr
the newer prius are sick ngl
Bro went to the gym and got a glowup fr
until the batteries die
and you got to change them
for over 3k
knowing my dogshit luck
the batteries would fail on me
so a 8k prius become a 11k one if i include batteries
Fr though dawg
tbh, i. would rather drive a little unreliable car with better looks then a prius
what about the batteries
What about a 2008 Civic (The Hybrid one)
yeah thats my other problem with a prius, pretty ugly
Yeah
why cant toyota make the car a little less alien spaceship looking
Japan is Full of those alien looking aah cars ngl
fax
all got over 200k km
If you want a cheep car thats not "super" ugly you can get the Hundai getz. its small, last forever. My friend he has driven it over 100k km
no problems
except a few of them
Hyundai? Lasts forever?
I thought they were less reliable ngl
nah
he forgot to serve it for like 50k km
no problems
Last long enough and are easy to swap (there's a chrisfix video on it lol)
Daaamn you being fr dawg?
Yeah no a getz ain't lasting lol
?
they look like the word beater itself
WHAT?
yeah we might not have the same def of easy
also it's easy if you have the tools (i dont)
its bulletproof
@dull cedarhow much does a new battery even cost
Not too much
WAIIIT WHAAAAT😭😭
Lmao when your source is the google questions section
Hyundai's are crap, no exception.
They will stay crap until they prove otherwise
just looked it up and it seem like it'll be 1.5K minimum just to buy a new one
have you driven a hundai? or ever owned one?
and thats counting on me installing it and not paying someone to do so
yeahhh
payign 12k (to buy a new battery with the car) for a 200k km prius doesnt really look good to me
Well, What about a Toyota Axio?
thats fat
Fat?
Hell yeaa
Yes I've driven them and know people that previously owned them and no. I'm not an idiot, I would never own a shit vehicle
I have a friend that has drived the gets over 100k past 8 years, he has never had any problems with it
it just worked
Axio basically is a corolla isn't it? Just like the Hybrid versions of the corolla fr
Damn it iss
its a lil diff
The full name also says
Toyota Corolla Axio
It's a lil bit diff but still is a corolla fr
Ngl though it's rare to find a Toyota century these days isn't it
The 1997 one
Damn it really got that majestic look fr
Not that rare tbh
Well kinda rare to see one
But they're for sale often
make the only japanese production v12 ever purely for smoothness
Whichever will be available
Damn really🥲
buy peugot
they are like stupid cheap in france
if it breaks
buy another one
ez
Mehhh depend
GTI ? Over 20-30k
208 is unreliable as fuck
not the el
still
the 8 series
has absolute DOGSHIT engines
from what i remember
mostly 1.6 vti
and 1.6/1.2 puretech
dont puretech
absolute dogshit engines for both
the pure tech is pure shit
the pure tech make the VTI look like a toyota
hahahah
eh also pretty mid
nah
the 8 series from peugeot is pretty dogshit
what makes them shit?
we have a 208 e, a great go cart feeling car
its a little over 8k tho
reliability
meh
its fine for us
but owcba, you are planning to serve the engine?
and maintain it?
for your car
ethan
because he only drives toyota
jk
but
if you serve the engine properly and care for your car, i dont think it cares so much if you drive an audi or a toyota
you wont own the car more then 4-5 years max prob
way over too
Im just gonna buy a cheap car now, drive it for 2-3 years and then buy a more expensive one
yeah
depend
if i said like ethan said
get a beater
then upgrade
yes
i want the 207 RC, looks so fun to drive
cause i'd lose money buying it then selling it
but prince engine
true
but when i search problems with the 207 RC, no one "disses" the engine, everyone just complain about the electronics
like seat warmer and stuff
yeah cause french cars and electronics dont mix
i dont even think i could even say a french car
that didnt have electronic issues
what if i sold one of my livers and bought a century ?
You will go bankrupt on your first trip to the gas station
sound worth it
also whats the max mileage till a car isnt worth it ?
i go with 150k most of the time
Depends on the car
fair enough, btw whats this brand ? there is no outside pics, just wondering what this is (2001)
also sorry for spam pinging i just wanna talk
Rover
Avoid
Rover is a British automotive brand that was used for over a century, from 1904 to 2005. It was launched as a bicycle maker called Rover Company in 1878, before starting to manufacture autocars in 1904. The brand used the Viking longship as its logo. The rights to the brand are currently part of Jaguar Land Rover, which continues to produce Land...
neat, never heard of it, but if you tell me i'll avoid it
there must be a reason why they went bank rupt so ill avoi
bri'ish shitbox
aye fair enough
surprisingly nice inside tho (wont get one dw)
some mfs really are delusional
one guy called his beatdown civic a "collection car"
there's so many french cars
ngl ethan i changed my mind ill go with a beater toyota
then change car later when i get a job
cause if i wanted a somewhat cool car
i'd have to either give up reliabilty
or pay a shit ton more
And this is what fools people into buying Hyundai's lol
eh, newer hyundais are also pretty cool performance wise
the trend steal a hyundai did happen in france a few year back tho
@dull cedardid that also happen in the US ?
in france it was all over the place lmao
people stole them with just about everything
including a sheet of paper
and a coat hanger
wtf
the avensis look quite nice ngl
is it jsut a corolla variant ?
cause 3k for a 150k km one is surprisingly cheap
too bad its a diesel
Looks like grandpa car
The avensis is its own thing but related to the camry
Shut
any issues with them ? cause they look quite good in my opinion and are surprisingly cheap (i set the range around myself for a car at 200km to have more options)
also found a corolla for 3k
yeah i think ill go with toyota
get myself a sedan corolla or avensis
What one?
Correction: depends on generation
buy the old corolla
that looks good
It started out as a caldina sedan apparently
Or I guess the caldina was just the wagon avensis
a sedan
Since the avensis came in all types
prolly a corola
look decent enough
grandpa car
and its not a diesel
3.2k
Can't tell shit from the pics lol
apologies 💀 here is the linkhttps://www.leboncoin.fr/ad/voitures/2922277652
yeah surprisingly low price too
@dull cedarlast ping of the day i promise, how many generations will this thing outlast ?
Cool
Tax do be kinda high ig
Ofc it's England eeeh😭🗣️💀
0-100 12s
True, but I would imagine you might be able to get something a little more interesting for the same moneys at that tax?
Depends what you need it for though
I just want a vehicle to drive with a better fuel management and less mechanical issues😭
what car do you drive now?
I actually don't have one rn
I'm thinking about moving into England For my Bachelor studies
And I was thinking about owning my first vehicle
good luck driving on the wrong side of the road
shifting gear with your left arm
Nah we drive on the same side though
On the left side
where r u from?
Sri Lanka
ahh
And yeah, we drive from the Left side of the road like british ones does
So, it's damn easy for us though
its not that hard to go from left drive to right hand drive cars
I mean I've tried some right sided vehicles when I went to US for vacation and tbh it only takes a little practice fr
Nah manual's Fine fr
I can drive stick fr
That has lower tax by 100 quids, 8.6s 0-60 and better economy
Is that a Civic?
Yeah
There's loads of those at that price, though perhaps there might be some issue with them I'm unaware of?
2000 Quids with a 100 quids lower taxes and a better fuel economy, Hell yeaaa that one matches just for me fr
But I gotta check the MOT Reports for this fr
Fair few advisories on that one
But as I say there are 10 of that car around for the same/similar money
Also not all garages log advisories the same which is a bit annoying
Looks rollable
It in fact is better than that Corolla fr
alien spaceship

Can y'all guess the vehicle
Land Rover Defender, around the year 2011 maybe?
Half of the electronics won't work lol
But it functions eeeh
The necessary ones
That's what we need from a vehicle duuh🗣️❤️
at least the engine will work proably
is it the 1.0l 125hp?
Nah, 1.25 82hp
ofc manual
A lot, it's slow, but if you get the rpms up, i managed to get like 9,5 seconds
thats not too bad
my friends mom had a fiesta
we upgraded the screen to a apple carplay for her
pretty easy in a ford to add carplay screen
like this
I just put bluetooth there, i don't need carplay
Miot
So you made it 4 seconds faster than quoted from the factory 🤔
Also, the facelift was never made with the 1.2
So something is off here
@dull cedar the volvo s80 is pretty reliable right ?
just to see if i add it to the list of potential cars
The car was front end crashed. Front bumper got fucked. Got it after my grandpa, since he wasnt driving it, he figured, that he would give it to me instead
But it's 2014 model
My grandpa didn't see a tractor tyre on the road while driving 120km/h and crashed into it. Frame wasn't bent, but front bumper, headlights and fenders got mangled.
So my guess is, that the front end got swapped. Like i said, my first car, i'm young, it's a miracle that i even have a car at my age.
And about the speed, it was on the highway, when i went from a gas station
So probably a little downhill, no clue
I think both the P2 and P3 are pretty reliable given the right engine choice?
My Poojie 305 has a roughly 6 second 0-60 I think it could still be a little faster.
Main thing I see with Volvo's of that period is bloody airbag faults
Just do timing belt stuff when the manual tells you to
(and pcv at some point too(
neat
From my p2 v70 I would recommend checking the underside for rust (dependent on region ofc). Mine is/was quite bad around the area below the rear boot
My Pcv hose just didn’t exist in the middle for a while
Yeah mine broke under the top plastic cover and dumped a fair bit of oil into the spark plugs which didn't have great results
I replaced it but the PCV (working good now) seems to leak a tiny bit of oil somehow
They're reliable but be very careful buying, if they havent been maintained they become money pits fast. If they have been maintained tho they're amazing
i will check with the dude if i get one
thanks mate
i will
a girl is angry at me cuz I didint let her drive my car at 100 over a raised crosswalk
Tragic
Looking new again
i have a 208 !
first car, insurance starts on thursday then i am officially a driver
Good job mate
Sending prayers so your engine hopefully last
i already changed wet belt ahahaha
French ?
Neat
Oh true
i really like peugeot tbh people always say french cars shit but they all just parrots
I mean...
Newer ones really ain't helping
even the new toyotas are shit tho lets be real its all emission control killing cars
Old Volvo or bust
Eh. Parts are expensive
Aw bummer
Every Volvo owner I know has a specific mechanic and it's there often, and the bills aren't cheap
Oof
Corolla it is
Most stuff p2 and earlier is simple enough to do at home but yeah oem parts are expensive
And anything electrical is NOT fun to deal with
I'm late to the game I guess but the C63 has a 4 CYLINDER!?
What is Europe doing right now
americans when a fancy car doesnt have an 8+l fuel guzzler
You're strange
A 4L would do like they have in the SL63
They could at least be honest and call it the C20 AMG and get a deserved laughing at
Even BMW is still on 6 cyls for compact models
Mercedes is supposed to be the V8 plug
No wonder nobody cares for new Merc models
I didn't even want a Mercedes V8 when I was looking at GLEs they were 53s
But I need me an E63 someday
The DSG farts 😍
Hybrid dealio thing.
All cars should have an unnecessary large v8 cuz america babyyy (i’ve owned four vehicles and none have had a 4cyl lmaoo)
Dodge has entered the chat
I wish gm and ford slapped a supercharged v8 in their modern, boring suv lineups cuz at least it’d be fun
Eh you can still buy an F150 with a V8, you get a full spec one and its basically an SUV with a big ass
Yeah true that
I’m not a fan of new cars anyways just because they are hell to work on (also because I can’t afford em lol)
It's weird though because it's not the Raptor, the Raptor is only equipped with the twin turbo V6 now
Most fun I’ve ever had in any of my cars was a gmc envoy with a 5.3 in it, till I smoked the transmission doing a burnout. Boring car but so fun to rip
Very unfortunate, hopefully the eco fad will die down as they see that the market turns out different than they expected
really? didnt know that, idk why lol, Raptor was always the super high performance F150
Exactly yeah, I think it's only the Tremor that can be optioned with the V8
Gets less off road features than the Raptor and yet is more expensive
Nobody should be paying 6 figures for a V6 powered truck
It’s kind of silly they got rid of the v8 as an option on the raptor bc like half the people buying raptors want one lol
I had an 95 GMC Yukon with the 5.3, was alot of fun, till it hit its rev limit at 100mph lol
Hence the rotting Ford epidemic
None of their models sell
Especially Raptors
You mean the 5.7/350 right? Or was it ls swapped?
Ah ye sorry, was the 5.7
Yea buddy 🦅🦅🍺🍺🇺🇸🇺🇸
When I worked at the dealership last year, most all that sold was thier mid range SUVs
Yeah no biggie lmao I own a 98 k1500 and a lot of folks swap their blown up 350’s with ls’ which is why I asked, because I’m planning on that when mine goes
Even Chevy (and equivalent) is still optioning V8s in all of their trucks and the Tahoe/Suburban
Ive been thinkin about picking up another truck like that, all ive got rn is an Avalanche thats falling apart
Fords pricing on all of their models is pretty crazy, they suddenly want to take a premium approach and it isn't working very well
Yeah, F150 still has an optional V8, but most sell with the ecoboost V6
I’d do it, they’re so simple to work on and very reliable (albeit mine is falling apart, but it’s got 250k miles and has metal shavings in the oil)
Watching y'all talking about V8 knowing I'll never get one cause Europe is funny
Idk why tbh, Lincoln is supposed to be the premium brand, not Ford lol
Import babyyy
Import an old mustang lol
They're scaling both up, they want Lincoln to compete with Land Rover, and flagship BMW/Mercedes/Audi models
Plus they’re being recalled half the time too
They are the KING of recalls 😭
With all the rules they're adding at this point
They're disappearing from our hands too unfortunately
thats not gonna happen lol, Rover, BMW, Merc all have brand recognition globally as luxury brands, Lincoln doesnt have that
It’s wild dude they ask near 6 figs then forget to tighten half the damn bolts and have to recall every one of em
Car with more than 4 cylinder left
I mean i follow this fella from Norway or something on ig that owns a 90’s chevy k3500 dually with a 454 big block so anythings possible with way too much money
Primary repair in my shop was turbos, they were near constantly dying. thats why Ford lost the police contracts
I can’t imagine how much that’d cost to fill tho
Right, not to mention reliability as of recent, Euros are getting crazy reliable and Ford is still stuck kicking rocks
Sure doesn’t help everything they sell is turbocharged lmao. Either that or their cam phasers are effed
Aye fair
Money is the problem as always
Always is 😦
Yep yep, my dad had a 2018 Escape that blew over the summer, turbo was the problem
If I had money the amount of cars I would buy
Like 90k miles
Thats the other part, Ford hasnt had much RnD into higher output 4 and 6 cylinder engines like the euro brands have, without slappin a turbo in it that is
Jeez
There was a really nice looking jag with a v8 near me
Appart from the paint job being awfull
And some of the inside needing a clean
It seemed great
Oh to be rich
Yeah it feels like ford’s solution to make more power using less gas is to take an already bad motor and slap twin turbos on it and send it down the line
Id have bought it in an instant
Instead of designing a new motor
Id hope they have one in the works by now, especially if they wanna stay competitive with Asian and Euro brands
As much as Chrysler has their own reliability issues, atleast getting bought out has introduced more foreign design choices to keep them competive
Yeah i sure hope. I wish ford still made a cheap car too, but nobody would buy it. I don’t want another freaking crossover
I'm guessing by euro y'all mean bmw Audi and mercedes cause so far Peugeot, ds, Citroën and Renault ain't improving in term of reliability
That’s true, however chrysler is kinda swirling the bowl at this point with dodge being the only thing that has kept them alive till now
I'm referring to Euros that compete with Ford in the US
Ooooohhhh
Of course it’s an escape too, i swear everyone I know who’s bought one post 2012 has regretted it immensely
Yeah sadly, the new Hornet seems pretty neat atleast
My dad has a vendetta
and I had forgotten that, the Chrysler 300 still offers a V8 as well dont they?
True, although I’ve heard they aren’t selling all that well. I think I’ve seen one on the road
I think the 300’s dead all chrysler makes is a minivan
He's the angry vet type, we went up and watched NHRA and he started swearing when he saw a dude with a Ford Performance Ecoboost shirt on 😭
Damn, I always liked the 300
Honestly a warrented reaction i don’t blame him one bit
so they can go through a concrete wall at 150mph??? I swear the body lines never match up on those things.
I have seen like 1 or 2 ever
Yeah they love axing all their good cars and keeping the most boring cars
Section 8 rolls royces ftw
They are crazy
I mean the people I see driving a 300 drive like its GTA.
Yeah basically an altima owner with a bigger tax refund
But that's just Flint every other day
300 was the last bastion of big boat sedans, shouldve never sold my ex police Crown Vic lmao
Oh you’re from flint I am sorry for your loss sincerely a northern michigander
Dude vics are the shit i want one but everyone wants too much for clapped ones nowadays
Technically Citroen a long long time ago ?
You can still find some decent deals, got mine for $1500
The ds sold well in the us
No I don't live there thank god, but I've had the pleasure of driving there for a month for job training.
That ain’t bad. I would love one as a drift missle lol they’re tanks
Oh phew. I think I’ve been there once and once is too many times
Seems like it'd be a hell of a project
Smash
I've always loved Cat engines and always loved the look of 300s
Not as big of a fan of Challys and Chargers
They’re definitely sleepers for sure
Going down Dort highway down 54 is like going through hell. You don't know what you're going to see next.
I love the hellcat swapped dodge magnum that I see from time to time on ig
Eh kinda, 300s came with a 395 Scat Pack trim and those get modded pretty often
I wouldn't mess with a loud 300 no matter what 😂
