Another set of used hdi rods ordered usually I just part out a entire engine as its cheaper, I have so many of these pistons kicking around now.

XUD, hdi 8v and hdi 16v all have the same part numbers for rods. They just increased the beefiness over time. I fit 16v rods into XUDs to reduce the chance of throwing a rod rather than paying £500 for forged rods.

Mx5 has blatant design issues everyone is aware of, especially the NB

MR2 I couldnt even say why they are so bad

yeah I agree the early MX-5s definitely had a flawed design
and definitely the AW11 too, the lower rear quarter panels rust out because moisture gets trapped
these are also 90s cars that they learnt from.
