I have a JL CP212-W0v3 with a Skar RP-800.1D in a 2017 Accord 7-speaker. All I know for tuning is what ChatGPT told me:

Turn LPF to lowest (50Hz), Subsonic to lowest (Off), and Bass EQ to lowest (0dB). Turn head unit to loudest without distortion (35) with sub knob up and head unit output up. Unplug speakers and plug multimeter into amp. Turn gain up until it reaches 28.28V playing a 50Hz tone.

Then play an 80Hz tone and turn LPF to 13.3V.

Then play a 30Hz tone and turn Subsonic to 11.0V.

It doesn’t sound amazing, is it just a disappointing speaker or is tuning wrong?

Nurburgring doesent really seem worth it with all the liabilities involved. Its such a long track to get comfortable with if you are only going to be there for a short time that and the potential cost of a incident most people aren't going to remotely push it. Where I go for normal trackdays has gravel traps and tyre walls so you are pretty safe.

Depends on the make and model of car and your battery. When it's time to replace my car's battery from stock / whatever the prior owner had in it, I usually opt for a replacement with a few hundred more Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) than recommended. Makes starting in cold weather easier.

IMO, the only viable 'electric future' currently is if they only have around 100 miles of battery power and a range extending generator on board. It significantly reduces rare earth element usage, it significantly reduces charge times, it maintains reasonable range and for areas prone to hurricanes - allows for people to still evacuate (I don't want to imagine trying to move more than half the population of an area at the same time with pure battery EVs).

Looked at EVs for my wife, but decided against it.. trips to our cabin would take an extra 3hrs with the routes we'd have to take to hit fast chargers, then once we got there the nearest fast charger is about 100 miles backtracking the route we take to get there. We wouldn't even be able to make it out to various daytrip spots once there because we'd run out of charge before we could get back.

Plus I've rented various EVs and the AC and heat all suck in them due to being undersized to extend battery range. That and I can't stand how many of them have done away with tons of physical controls, causing you to have to primarily use a touchscreen.

I would probably just mount it right behind the rear-view mirror.
They generally don't like anything obstructing your view out the window.

My current state, the state my license, vehicle and permanent residence is in, is a state where no dash cams on the dashboard but windshield is fine. The state im getting stationed in the next 4 years is the complete opposite.

It should work, I drove it today and it comes with roadworthy which basically means the car is set to go and work with as much guarantee as reasonably possible

Also means I can buy it on a Friday and expect to drive it around on a Monday cause the only paperwork is transferring it

If u drive over 15kmh the car auto locks but something was very wrong this morning bc it kept trying to lock and then unlocking.

Car also wouldn’t unlock any doors other than the driver doors

And when I finally got all the doors to unlock none of the doors would lock except the driver door so ppl could theoretically break in by just opening the door

Maybe something froze inside bc like 10 minutes later everything started to work normally again
