I like to take the clutch out of the car and clean it no lies
Maybe it got dry because im so hot
what car do you have
oh fair enough
I’m learning, I’m 17 yrs old
I drove a Toyota at driving school, it's also squeaking
I can see that you're learning
Yess
My driving instructor has a really nice car
what is it
Volkswagen das auto
MY CAR
sorry brother I was uninformed
I should buy a sedan version of my Polo
I dont accept ur apology
okay Ollie
Yes but this is more cursed
literally why I told u not to get it
but it's your choice
I would have to import from russia
I'll think I'll buy a 98' Toyota Cressida for my first car
Its so goddamn ugly
yes it is
My 2nd car soon totally
Or get a Tesla model 3
I'm in SEA Tesla isn't here yet
and I don't like eletric cars
true
Doesn’t sound too bad, sounds much better irl than on video tho
it sounds aight
My Polo sounds worse somehow this actually sounds good
typical inline 4
Heres a cold start this is not edited
||A whole 67 bhp that is||
cold start may cooking
Wtaf
Yes Vw makes best cars
sounds like Straight piped
Nice edit lmao
||shh|| what?!!
I disagree
Ye ye its straight piped
did u change the exhaust fluid tho? it sounds rough
B)
Wdym u disagree
No only the blinker fluid
It sounds a lil better like this ||the door and boot defo isn’t open 💀💀💀||
should change that as well
is it just me or does that car does not have a tachometer
but it sounds like ordinary I4
Ive never tried to rev my car bc i thought it damaged it when stationary but idk why i think that
Like a rev counter? No it doesn’t
I rev my dad's old Ford and he's mad cuz "I'm breaking the car"
I rly wanna redline it, but, idk where the redline is so
just put the gas down
It doesn’t, it could damage if if u held the clutch in, held the gas down for a couple mins so just smashed against the limiter for like, a good few minutes
the redline is the maximum revolutions per minute the engine can spin
I believe its an option when the car was first introduced
Yes I’m aware but there was something that was needing a look at under the hood I can’t remember what it was so I don’t wanna push it toooooo hard
well just don't do anything stupid with that engine
Ah well clearly I don’t have that, and no fucking way that 67hp reaches 8k rpm
wait
First gear
Stupid as in redlining it
y'all car make 67hp?
yes
Mine makes 90
MINE DOES HAHAHAHAA 😂😂😂
And it has a turbo smh
makes around 114hp
☠️pretty sure my grandpas tractor makes more
bro tried so hard
Same same
The 1.2 engines make 60hp and the 1.2tsi (The one I have) makes 90-110hp)
No shit 😭
890 kilos and 67hp is crazy power:weight
I have 208hp in the daily tho
very cool, what car u drive
90hp is perfect for me though
I’m aware, any more power and it would be too much to learn in
Ur not 17 tho
I have never felt like I had too little powah
The beast of a bone stock 2007 s60
I drove it when i was 17 lmao
I’m American i can drive a hellcat on a learners permit no issue
they won't let me drive cars until I'm 18
Me in the UK would get charged thousands to get insured on that
Man I wish I was American
If I actually was even allowed to get insurance on that
I’m pretty sure my dad pays a reasonable amount on mine
How much u pay rn per month
Paid abt £370 for a year
There aren’t many slower cars in the states
You say that but I went from being satisfied with 50hp in a car to engine swapping it for 200hp
Oh god
||Which is more than the value of the car||
🗣️🗣️🗣️
£370 is alright for insurance in the UK especially if you are under 25
I pay €145 per month (£120 per month)
are y'all into motorsports?
£350 a year with mods declared
Unless the sport is trying to wiggle under my car to do an oil change no
good thing it doesn't leak
It only did that when the Pcv hose didn’t exist
what is bro cooking
It’s learners insurance
It would probs be over £1k when I have a full license
Yeah thats to be expected
I got the 1 year that they had a plastic vent hose instead of rubber
Pretty peak ngl
My car would never leak
true true
It used to hence marks but since rebuild I have the one rare non leaking XUD, for now.
good thing I doesn't drive a BMW
my driveway is pretty wrecked, also because I had a tank rust through and cover my driveway in diesel
not even bad that
Can confirm bmws leak my buddy’s 340i cracked some housing and was pouring coolant
btw it's 1:30AM y'all have a good day Imma go to bed
Not oul
I have insurance on a car I dont even own anymore but I am just farming it for no claims bonus
yes they leak
they always do
He upgraded it and now his diff is making noise
what did he upgrade
fair
All i know is that it’s fast
and leaking
anyway I think the BMW leaking have something to do with their power
create air flow or something
So true
that is so BMW
Naturally Aspirated
it's a joke
Oops
Fair enough
I’m waiting for him to get an m car or upgrade the turbo on his current one for another ride
aight Imma go to bed see y'all tmr
Cya
aight
For learners insurance it’s pretty damn high
Is that different from normal insurance?
Bc that would explain why I pay so much compared to u
Yeah it insures someone learning to drive for their own car, but u are unable to drive legally without someone over 21 who has had their license for a minimum of 3 years with u all the time bc u haven’t passed ur driving test yet, ur still learning
U can’t drive the car on ur own
Ah okay
The “having a responsible adult” in the car aspect of it makes the insurance farrrrr cheaper
Bc they can help and intervene
A 17 yr old on their own in a car is a lot more risky
Nvm
I got my license at 17 but could only drive with a parent. But if I already have my license then why would I need to wait before 18 smh
Now of ur 17 and still learning/having lessons then it makes sense ye
i got my license at 16 and drove a large suv to work every day
Ah yes the big American suvs
I saw one in Austria yesterday
If I ace it I'll be able to drive with a parent at 16 and In August I'll be able to drive alone when I'm 17
60k
Milestone
i dont see a stone
Here's my current Subie. Has an IAG Stage 2 Closed Deck. Pretty much stock other then a catless downpipe and ETS extreme cat back. Currently waiting to install Equal Length header with a external wastegate up-pipe, flex kit, parallel fuel lines, fuel rails and ID 1050x injectors.
subuwu gaang
This is actually my 2nd, I had a built 2019 WRX but crashed it
Oh they totaled it, I got a little over $19k which paid it off and I had a couple thousand left. First brand-new car I ever bought. Sucks that I was out the $20k worth of mods.
I get the feeling this has more horsepower than my car
dang
Currently I'm on a very conservative tune so it's only 280 with 10psi of boost.
I bought it used, person who had it before me had a jank catless DP and intake on it. Which on EJs you can have one or the other on stock injectors. But they had both and engine blew on my way to work on day. Got the IAG block and tuned it down low so shit doesn't blow up again. But I have everything other then a bigger turbo to turn the power up. Block is rated for 500hp, so I just need to figure out if I want to go rotated or just bigger stock location.
“Only”
Not that much these days unfortunately
Drove a lada with slightly more but that was completely lethal for a number of reasons
He has more than 4x more bhp than me
The car I have 200hp in used to have 52hp was deadly slow although I was still held up by people and achieved some overtakes on single lane roads
tf u driving
2008 Toyota Aygo with a whole ||67 bhp|| but thats bc it ||only weighs 890kg and is so small||
4.5 more than what my sis will have
what is ur sister gonna have bro what
hell yeahhhhh
Gen 1 twingo, most likely the 60hp one lol
@full prism
oh wow
0 to 60 eventually
On downhill
😭
It's still pretty fun to drive
so cute
its so fun to drive btw, the rly low weight makes it rather fast for so little horsepower
The twingo is 872kg
i can understand, must be hella fun
it is, especially with the abnormally long gear stick, if u stay in 1st for a while u get a lotta power and acceleration, its quite fun
Noice
lol
abusing that first gear' teeths 😋
The twingo is apparently pretty fun to drive but idk never tried one
apparently there was a tachometer for this car as an optional extra which my car doesn't actually have, the tachometer available for this car seems to go up to 8k rpm, i dont believe that
That was literally what I want to do if I get one lmao
wtf
The twinko sound funny
That's crazy
Fascinating
this msg, this is my EXACT spedometer so it must be for the same car
^
lmao goofy alien antenna tachometer
I'm also into car but not in that way dude
6.5k redline still
you'll get there eventually
Once I get a twingo sure
right
On a twingo
He's my idol ever since
eh, i like em smol
I like em big~
k20 is toob ig
fair, enjoy
fr tbh LMAO
Peep this btw https://youtu.be/XhtulOjuT1Y?si=sQQlXp1b9NT9gpjK

That shit had me wheezing for a while
poor thing looks horrified
it looks like it should almost go all the way round to 10k rpm, imagine a 67 hp 2008 toyota aygo hiting 10k rpm
He definitely is
Twingo's are extremely understeery
average motorcycle engine
Now put a 500hp engine in it
And you got a death machine
add 2-3 twinks to the trunk, easily balanced
yeah my uncles sports bike could probs hit that
likely
That'll just make it oversteer
better than understeer
Problem with the twingo is its design lol
It's smoll
So to prevent the back from going away
well i consider that as a positive
They made it extremely understeery
by putting a twink(the engine) to front
And making it fwd
not like that 67hp will do shit on rwd
60 actually 💯
The strongest engine they had has 75
1.2
cute
It's so smoll
exactly
Tbh the 75hp is actually pretty decent for the size of the car
The car is silly
yea its like 1hp/11kg
Car is 872kg
1/1 ratio or I’m not buying smh
Done
I got the perfect car for you brother
now paypal it to me
Behold
3700hp s60?????
No
Darn
Beautiful
800hp
I love it
happy face
Pretty neat
crazy
Idiots
Actually I'm wrong
i only do it because it reminds me of a car from mw2005 that i dont remember
875kg for 875hp
golf something maybe idfk
True
Fucking insane
take off the driver and ur over 1hp/1kg ezpz
first time i heard him, is he a twink or what
He's arguably the best rally driver
not a twink, not interested
He still look fire
hmmm, doesnt look unfamiliar, wait a sec
You prolly saw him before
2022 suzuki hayabusa
He's the fucking goat
nah hes just the guy on right
Mf came back from retirement to partake in Monaco with a math teacher for copilot
And won
Loeb is my idol ngl
lol
yum
@full prism wanna hear my shitbox backfire?
heck yeah
:3
What do you think for a stock 5.3 iron block ls?
what what exactly
Of the sound
Nah
yah
Needs a new smaller engine to do that
nah thats boring
Or different crankshaft
nah keep the 20 ton crank
I’d need a flat plane for high rpm
I have a crossplane
Ill eat your cams
deal
pro max plus
wth ur 4y.o?!
No, 5 camshafts
mmm
I am gay
wheels on my truck i just put on
My driving instructor took a liking to me
last pic is the original
I am passing that test
Is that a sierra?
little differences here and there but yha
Essentially the same other than logo
upgraded the radio with a touchscreen with Bluetooth and navi
didn't know originally but the ford bronco uses the same lug pattern as chevy
No
Its just a standard
Trucks typically use 6 or 8 lug
well they canged to it with the new ones the wheels on my truck are from a 2023 bronco
Lugs typically look very similar
sick
it uses the 6×5.5 in or 6-139.7 mm
hey guys I have a 2000 lexus es 300 but I need new suspension. Any ideas on the best budget friendly options? I don't want the ride to be too stiff but can't afford OEM.

i get most of my parts from here
yeah I do
okay thank you this website is goated
yo anyone out here who knows someone that got the Seat Control Module for an R129 without memory. Part number is A129 820 08 26.
i nearly forgot, this is the beaut.
Its an sl class, but idk what model
I love them
R129
Thats not a model
it is
Thats just the chassis
wdym model
Like sl550 for example
Hm
but shes low and Wide and 18"
I wish i had an r129 sl600
looks better than a normal 500 imo
dont get one from before 1996
my 280 is from 93 and the engine harness is detereorating
misfiring like a bih
and a mouse ran through the interior
Pretty average for its age
i got the interior out in the garage and im rebuilding the interior wiring harness
@marsh quail do you know what makes the sl600’s special?
nah its just that mercedes wanted to use biodegradeable Soybean wiring on their engine from 92-95
idk why they would do such stupidity
its a 6l v12
Yup
mhm
A bit more powerful than my truck
probably
And ~100hp more than my trailblazer
And depending on the fuel, the f150 has the same
you rocking 400hp?
On e85 the f150 is more powerful
nah its 517
No
You’re thinking of the sl70/72/73
Ah
the successor
I wish i had the money for an sl65 black series
which model?
The sl65 black series was only 1 gen
ah yeah i had the 45th anniversary in mind
wavy interior
Very
The dual screens look dumb though
And people who own them say that it's a dumb system
That rear end pic looks uncannily like my mazda
maybe from a distance nvm 😭
random one
Still a nissan, so still shit
You know honestly I like you
Coming in with the wildest takes
I mean the 3.0t is pretty unreliable but the NA 3.7 is amazing
The RS400 of course comes with that 3.0
But I mean does long term reliability even matter to me at this point
they just got the same ass
very similar roofline too i think
Same bodylines in general
But that's enough to look really similar from behind
indeed it is
The entire city is covered by black ice and I am like a cow on ice with my car
What doesn't help is that I drive like a dipshit and floor almost every intersectuon
I'm in a mood
This was on the autobahn ofc
looks like it has a v6 inside, rear doesnt keep up to front as much tho
front has much more pronounced look
Here I thought it was Mexico.
Too slow for the unrestricted autobahn
Just know that I'm judging you.

Why smh
No one shall judge me
Too high of a speed difference to the traffic.
And passing on the right (at that rate of speed) is something I frown upon.
I agree yes
I never said I wasnt in the wrong mohahahha
Whats even worse is that I drove 11 hours with only 30-40minute break
From Austria back to NL
You're already back in NL?
Yeah I checked in Sunday and checked out today
Then drove home bc i didnt want to stay the night at a hotel
It's not crazy fast, already looks to be a reduced speed
Seems perfectly fine to me to drive at this speed on an exit lane
Oefertjes short
What
I did accelerate when getting onto the exit lane bc I just wanted to go home lol
Not a lot but still a bit fast
I would’ve stayed longer in Austria but gotta start working again to earn €€
And staying longer was out of my budget. Renting a small cabin in the mountains aint cheap
Short time for such a long trip
Understandable
@compact grotto
@paper cradle
I regret nothing
and just to make @dusk ocean look, too
Lovely little oil leak I've got somewhere
Thought my pcv fix a while back went well but maybe not? Seems like quite a lot for just that though
Dumbass truck
You're too late, a friend showed me this last night
damn, but I tried
Tbh what was he supposed to do ? Seemed to go at a speed that is fine for exit (maybe a bit high) not his fault traffic is that slow, though please take this with a huge grain of salt as I don't even have a license yet
To me sound like the actual fucking idiot is the truck
Was way past the insertion line, should have just kept driving
You're passing people on their 'blind' side. So they are less likely to see you passing everyone.
Sure, but slowing down would just annoy everyone on the exit lane, I woulda done the same
Also that car didn't show any sign of inserting itself so idk it was just going slow for no reason
Within reason.
I just wouldn't be doing 90 kmh.
After looking at the video again, yeah I agree, bit too fast for the situation
Though the truck def lack braincells
You sent me this already!
You can't re-send cybertruck memes, they cancel eachother out
I didn't think I saw that one yet
nope, that was a DIFFERENT shanty
oh no
(which is hilarious that there's now more than one Cybershit Shanty in the wild)
Exits should be like 5 meters of broken line and then solid IMO, take it immediately or dont
I usually speed up a little as I come off and there is always the person that had to overtake just one more car and ends up coming off slower infront as the squeeze between cars
5M at 100+ kph?
lolwut
100 kph = 1.66 kpm
that's 0.028 kps
That's 28 M/s.... 5M? No.
Its an exaggeration you can put the calculator away.
So, you'd need no less than 50M to be reasonable at 100kph
ill give you 25
if you want people to die? Sounds good
Only deaths would come of stupidity
Having 1 second to go from highway speeds to off-ramp speeds?
Nope, that's going to cause deaths.
No speed change just 1 second to glide over
Plus there is plenty of offslips on 70mph / 122kmh roads that are literally like 25-50 meters that you have to slow down on before going into an immediate sharp 90. Or worse than that 0m.
That's not enough at those speeds
that will have a very high likelihood of unsettling most larger cars very easily
if they can do it at all
that's downright dangerous
Sounds like these big cars are dangerous
Sounds like you're delusional
I wouldn't be comfortable doing that in my car
Not at 60mph
Everything I have said has been pretty much exaggerated but a lane change for me at 70 in 40 year old cars is 1 - 2 seconds
no.
All I was meaning is dont make the dashed area for the offslip a mile long
2 seconds at 95mph, 3 if you include the steering going on before the line is crossed
Anything mores a waste of money
All are V6s but that's not much of an issue
400 hp is 400 hp
It's just that I'm starting to like my winter beater G37 a little too much 😭
Though I honestly prefer the G37s interior a lot more
I like v6s
Even tho I got a wide dohc American v8
I really like the twin turbo v6s they are crazy
oh thats nice
yup
I'm quite the V6 connoisseur 🧐
Seriously, every car I've ever owned or seriously looked into owning is a V6 and that's a pure coincidence
Only in the Red Sport 400s though which seem to be few in far between
And the interior is turning me off
The 3.5 eco boost is my fav
Fr
If I was into fords I'd be more interested in an Explorer ST
Trackhawk killers if you let them
Yeah literally ford gt engine in a silly suv
what about rest
NA 3.7 is the same VQ that's in my G, so 328, other option is a turbo 3.0 with 300
still nice
NA 3.7 is bulletproof (at least I'd assume they didn't change it for the worse), turbo 3.0 apparently has problems but likely has better potential
i mean what na engine isnt bulletproof anyway lol
Fr fr
it cant be that hard to compress and ignite 1 bar 😂

My first car died at about 90k
is it a timebomb moment for guarantee expiring
99 Lumina with a 3.1 V6
damn, first car as v6
My mothers car is on it's way out, 2018 Acadia with a 3.6 V6
Like same mileage
Close to 100k but hasn't breached it quite yet
After my friends hacked the muffler off yeah
wth yall all have v6 engines as family lmao
No idea dude this is what I'm saying
That Acadia was my daily for a little while because we shared it
So I could count it as yet another V6 I've "owned"
I've also been searching for anything close to that level of comfort
Istg GM put a couch in that thing
Audi, Infiniti, new GM, never could compete
real
u shouldn go to v8 or anything now, next is v12
The second most comfy car I've ever sat in was a newer GLE, still didn't top it
either double up or nothing
Nah W12
Because that's just 2 V6s
damn, u can try to take one to a shop or smth and make it comy like that maybe
v12 is like that too, just not next to eachother but instead infront of eachother
Maybe I'm not sure
Like I mean W12s are LITERALLY 2 V6s engineered into each other
At least that's how VW does it
theres many v12 engines that are just 2x6
lol have you guys seen the 12 rotor?
i have, watching each video of the series
boat
Also have you guys been watching the ford triton v10 build?
in hope for 5000hp
It’s pretty cool
They put it into a continental
It sounds amazing

Just picked this up yesterday and did a photoshoot after topping off the oil today
Dyno tuned to 630 horsepower (507 stock). Really well optioned, low mileage, over-maintained, and ready to absolutely demolish its tires
Never hear a thing about those M6s
Can't tell if they're just slept on or too rare to be well known
A bit of both
Lamborghini Gallardos are more common
The M6 gets a reputation for being unreliable but it really isn't. It just requires more maintenance than a lot of other cars do, and it is expensive to do that maintenance
But if you're willing to keep up with it, they are predictable, sound fantastic, handle great, and do so while seating four people
Imo they are definitely slept on. But they will only become rarer, which is a shame
Definitely a shame and we'll never be seeing anything like it again 😢
Getting a chance to own that is awesome though
That's really any BMW tbh, everyone wines about the reliability but doesn't maintain them properly and treats them like Altimas
With a V10 I'm guessing the amount of maintenance is doubled and then some
This is correct haha, the main issue with BMWs is a lot of people lease them as first owners and thrash them. And then they depreciate and don't get handled properly by the new owners
10 individual throttle bodies, 10 of all the usual stuff (spark plugs etc.), a large displacement, a VERY complex electronics system for its time
I have owned 7 BMWs and the S85 is around 50% more expensive than other M engines in my experience
it's not that bad but it NEEDS to be cared for or it will become exponentially more expensive, and break your heart
yeah I feel very lucky frankly. I have two of these, and neither of them has any mechanical issues
the white one is replacing my other one. I would keep both but I don't have as much driveway space at my new house :(
I don't understand what this means lmao
Right, but they were made for that type of owner after all
Yeah, it's why their prices on the secondhand market vary wildly
You can get an E6x M car for as little as $9,000 - $11,000 USD in running condition
but believe me
a $10,000 E60 M5 or E63 M6 is not a car you want to own unless you'll wrench on it yourself
because it will cost you at least $5,000 - $7,000 in parts
to get it into decent shape
before any labour
My other M6 is black, and I paid $10,000 USD for it
I have gotten lucky in that it is mechanically sorted
but it needs a lot of cosmetic work
paint touch up
interior repair
I paid $21,000 USD for the white one
which frankly is cheap for what it is. But there's less demand for them in Canada
I don't expect them to stay this cheap for much longer. They already hit their depreciation floor like 6 years ago and haven't been as cheap since
which is why I wanted a nice one before the market for them becomes awful
For sure yes, I looked at a lot of 1Ms, 335s, 535s etc and the main concern with those N54s is early maintenance because if you get a cared for one they easily last into the 200s and if you don't, they're toast before 100k
Same story for the S85
There are multiple people with 200k+ S85s
even some on the original rod bearings
proper ownership practice defines how often a car shows its flaws
a significant (not majority, but significant) portion of owners of the M5/M6 did not properly respect them
which is why there ended up being a lot of forum posts about problems
Then you have examples like my white M6. 45,000 miles, and it's already had its rod bearings, actuators, vanos line, and clutch replaced
which is very early
but it was done to ensure the longevity of the engine by the second owner
Yeah I'm guessing preventative maintenance is a big concern with those engines
It is, especially if they're being tuned
which this one was
I mentioned it earlier but this one's highest map is 630 horsepower
That's crazy cheap woah, I expected something around 30-40k lol
it is lol
Right yeah that's a lot of strain
I got very lucky w/ it
especially on an engine like this
the S85 is derived from the P85 F1 race engine
it has extremely tight tolerances
Like most BMWs, it is undertuned from the factory, but a lot of people struggle to get much out of the engine without quite a few modifications
the biggest caveat is actually the factory exhaust
Tbh I've always stayed away from cars like that, I'm huge into LWBs and I've looked into older 7 series or S class models and they're surprisingly cheap, but if you get unlucky they turn into huge money pits
these engines have an extremely high compression ratio for NA engines and the exhaust is also infamous for having breathability issues if kept stock
12.0:1
for context
the N55, which is turbocharged, has a compression ratio of 10.2:1
But tuning has come a long way in the past 20 years, a lot of tuners have gotten these engines up into the high 600s/low 700s naturally aspirated
(With supporting mods)
But frankly, the M6 is light enough where I think that its factory horsepower is genuinely enough
I don't like driving this car in its highest map
it is scarier than driving my Model S or my old big turbo 335i
spinning tires at 110mph in 4th gear is wild let's say that
And that's reasonable. frankly I think the horsepower war has gotten really out of hand. people only care about big numbers on social media these days
not realizing that a lot of these cars are almost entirely undriveable in those high power modes
Like
I have an ND Miata
it is my favorite sports car to drive
I picked it over a Porsche 718
it is tiny. it is not fast. but it is super fun, engaging, and all around puts a huge smile on my face every time I drive it
and that's with 155 horsepower
100% true
I've always been influenced a bit too much by hp figures but it's not even half of the cars experience
I almost prefer the G over the A6 cause of how fun it is to drive honestly
RWD-AWD hybrid instead of Quattro, somewhat brutal suspension, doesn't stick to the pavement quite as well
A car that has to be tamed is often more fun than a car that does all of the work for you
If your end goal is just going as fast as possible, the better engineered car will obviously win in the hands of a skilled driver
but if your end goal is having fun, there's something to be said about a car that requires learning to really get a good handle on it
I would love a really slow but fun car
I wanted a Mazdaspeed3 for a while and those fit that
Though they're definitely on the higher end of slow
If I got a Miata I'd turbo it
based
I have reasons to go over 155 though so it wouldn't even be the weekend car
with a tune you can have an ND1 match ND2
ND2/tuned ND1 do 181 horsepower
which for a car as small as the miata is more than enough
gets your 0-60 in the 5 second range
which feels wildly fast in a 2300 pound car
Power to weight is a lot more important than raw power
frankly general driving dynamics are
It’s a regular cab
a car that is fast in a straight line but ass in corners is not particularly fun outside of those straight line runs
one trick ponies
But the stability at 100+?
I haven't had any issues with my Miata going over 100
but it will never feel not scary
True but there’s no feeling like a very fast acceleration
because of how small it is
yeah there is, everything on track or autocross
I have a Model S Plaid and it is certifiably the most boring car I own
but it is a fantastic daily driver
I love that
that looks like it would be ridiculously fun for all of the right reasons
I've been thinking about lifting the miata LOL
because I think it would be fun to take to the dunes near me
I'm a big fan of 90s car design
And slammed 240s
I like big boxes
hold on
With 4 doors
let me find a photo
This was my E39
god I wish I hadn't sold it
it is the only car I ever regretted selling
Oh wow yeah that's some serious sun fading. but it looks like it's in decent shape all things considered
having a mostly intact body is decent these days honestly
Wow I didn't think you could make an E39 look so awful
Hopefully it found an owner who could fix it 🙏
It’s a tribute to a fast and furious car lol
I didn’t do any of that work to it anyway, it was the previous owner that did
That doesn't make it any better gang
There is some parts of 2000s tuner culture that should've stayed in the 2000s
It’s back on marketplace though and it’s actually worse
and part of it was bright obnoxious colors on boring ass cars
New owner put really ridiculous long exhaust tips on it
although
There is a 5er my family used to have that I wish I could get back
It was a manual 545i
The guy who bought it from us hasn't fixed it yet, it's been almost four years
E60?
I’m quite fond of the E60/E61
I like the platform
I don't like the N62
but
BUT
300+hp wi/ a six speed in one of those is NOT bad
I almost bought an E60 M5 but opted not to
also funny infinitely variable length intake
The SMGs are shit
Sadly
If I had the chance to own an E60 M5
I prefer the SMG to the manual with an S85 personally
It would have to be a blue or silver one, and it would HAVE to be an 08/09/2010 and a stick
But the DCT really should have been an option as well
black guts too
NA V10 with a DCT is a great pairing
I like E92 with both transmissions tbh
But E60?
The SMG is so shit that the manual is by default better
It really does depend on what you’re buying it for
I would never daily drive an SMG car
The SMG is awful in traffic and for street driving
Yeah that’s why I didn’t buy an E60
and expensive when they break
I have two E63s though
my condolences
They are everything good about the M5 in a lighter package with better handling
are they at least lci motors
One of them is, the other isn’t
Yeah, I already said it earlier but I really don’t like the S85 with a manual transmission
a shame too
The factory manual gearbox is frustrating
in what way? the way that it's not prone to failure?
I do not like how the clutch actuates and it has genuinely bad gearing for pretty much everything. But you can fix that with a differential
Clutch delay is real
The SMG also handles power better than the manual gearbox does is the thing
Until the SMG pump just eats shit
Neither of my cars are using factory SMG pumps
(meanwhile my ass is over here with a tempermental gokart, so i can't talk)
Lmao
But hey! At least it's a stick!
Mini? Or fiat
I forget which has the funny interior
Mini
I have an ND Miata as my manual of choice
I was cross shopping between the Miata, a mini, and a boxster
The stick in the R56 is insanely easy to drive
but
the motor was made by fr*nch people
I was very disappointed by the fact that the boxster felt worse than the mini and the Miata lol
yeah the mini is like
a literal gokart
they're so much fun to drive for how slow they are
I love how they handle
the only issue (with the R bodies) is reliability
Same things can be said about the ND. I mainly just picked it out of style preference
And reliability
Yeah, understandable
😂
Granted the F56 is
A b46/b36
So they are way more reliable
but also more expensive and more americanized
And less quirky
By americanized I mean the F56 has a screen pretty much standard and the window buttons are actually on the door and the car itself is a bit bigger
among other things
Window buttons actually on the door? That’s some crazy luxury right there
That’s ass LOL
Oh my god
The R56 had a violently circular interior
it's so much fun
I wouldn't have it any other way
It’s like if a Lamborghini huracan had a weird circle obsessed little brother
Also notice two foglight buttons - I have a rear foglight! In AMERICA!
God
That is quirky cool
Genuinely it reminds me of the huracan I drove last month
The quirky is kinda part of the reason I love the car
That comparison wasn’t a meme I was serious about it
But it’s probably a fun confusion
My Model 3 confuses people because its doors are awful and they suck to use LOL
the mini has weird door handles
I hate having to explain to people how the model 3’s doors work (interior and exterior)
they look like they're just like whatever other door handle you've ever used but really it's a button on the inside of the handle that spans the length of the handle itself
the car also has the classic bmw double pull to exit handles
Reminds me. One thing I hate about the M6 interior
Most of it is very high quality. But there is this god fucking awful plastic on the door window switch panel
You can groove it with your fingernails EASILY
soft touch plastic
yup
and it's 15 years old
I hate that it is in an otherwise genuinely really high quality interior
sreten replaced all of his plastic in his E60 with non-soft touch plastic (or maybe he just coated it with sth?)
To each their own
Oh yeah the mini also has ambient lighting, but the switch is by the dome light
I like that this car actually commits to the red and doesn’t just do the seats
Even the B pillars are wrapped in leather
The dome lights are also all the same switches as down below, but up too and infront of the mirror
That’s so silly
I live for cars that are quirky and unique
And not just the same generic interior
It makes them feel more noteworthy
Those two circles twoards the top have little LEDs that shine down onto the shifter area, too
it's so clever
It also has a party mode where you can have the lights go through all the colors
that one's for a sunroof car, which kinda threw me off bc my car doesn't have one so lacks the center switch 😂
slicktop gang
(so now all i have to worry about leaking is the garbage ass door seals!)
And yet another insane take 😭
On my R57 the usb and aux are hidden up on the top right of that cubby. And the volume knob is below the CD player
Didn’t know it was different on the hardtop
Ngl its strange to see a full tank of gas
get out and drink some so its not full
Is your car a pre-facelift?
If so, that's why
Not because vert/hatch
That one looks quite familiar.

suuuure
@dusk ocean the touring fucks
Yeah it does - there's a dude who built an F80 M3 touring at Thompson BMW
Wow, i'm surprised I haven't seen it
So good. I assume he just started with a wagon and did a lot of part swapping
