I just spent two hours researching watts link suspension setups for S197 mustangs and eventually came to the conclusion that the diff cover mounting style is superior to the body mounted style due to the roll center being lower and not changing as much during suspension travel, and thus deciding that that was the kind I wanted to eventually buy. Only to realize that the diff cover mounted style was discontinued back in 2018 and the body mounted style are the only kind still in production so I don't have a choice in the matter. So all I've succeeded in doing all this time is inadvertently convincing myself that the style I will eventually be forced to use is the inferior design. and I just have to live with that knowledge now.

Actually just had to do some work on it this weekend.

The passenger window stopped going up. I pulled the door panel off and found the power to the regulator was 12V without any buttons pressed. I assumed it should have been zero, so I pulled the driver side panel as well and found it as expected: zero volts with no buttons 12 and -12 for up and down. So the signal was messed up.

Turned out the window buttons have little arms and the passengers was broken. I super glued it back in and the window is working again. Made me happy as a clam!

Tldr: 21 year old plastic on the window button broke, causing the window to stay down and super glue has (for the time) fixed it.
