This one is an SMG car. I have a second one that I'm having swapped to a manual (it's in far better shape with low miles. the one in the video I sent is the one that I take to the track/autoX)

And yeah these cars aren't cheap to own. They are inefficient, they drink absurd amounts of oil, and parts for the S85 are not cheap. And if it's ever the top end, you need 10 of each component.
Still cheaper to drive often than a Gallardo though. If you're cross-shopping it with other V10 cars, these cars are actually typically far more reliable and cheaper to own. They are expensive compared to a V8 or an I6, sure, but the S85 is an exotic F1-derived race engine that happens to be in a road car. These cars were badly misrepresented by media and people online that gave them an unfair reputation.

That said, makes them cheaper for people like me so :)

Generally I push the top towards the engine till it knocks a bit then back off a bit

The white smoke can be a dead glow plug or a little bit of air in the fuel but a common one is the injection timing being a little off that people overlook

You can leave it loose and run the engine shift it back and forth, just loosen and retighten the lines once you are done so they arent stressed.
