charred depot
#

people suck, they will fuck it up going in or back out straight into a car as they cant see whats coming

tepid wing
#

You can't see just as much backing in when parking as you can't see when backing out. The biggest issue with backing out are the stupid giant trucks that block your entire view, which will block it either direction.

charred depot
#

your view when leaving is infinetely better when leaving if you are reverse parked, you also only need to look in one direction

#

especially if other cars are doing it and have their snoot at the front

tepid wing
#

You need to look both ways unfortunately.

charred depot
#

im meaning front to back

tepid wing
#

People pretty regularly go backwards in parking lots. 😔

charred depot
#

if you are reversing out you will have to turn to look behind you whilst also checking where the front of your car is

tepid wing
#

Which isn't particularly hard, you'd need to do that backing in anyway.

charred depot
#

but its not equitable as you already have a view of the road as you arrived so you know what is around you

#

whereas when leaving it is a new situation and other people wont be necessarily aware of you.

#

theres about a million videos that cover all these points

stoic ledge

We have these like smart motorway equivalents here which will randomly change the speed limit from 70 to 40 in a effort to reduce congestion, some of the gantry's have cameras I tend to continue along at 70.

#

If theres a camera slow down and speed back up after, the gripe I have with the system is that when it changes to 40 everyone in lane 1 that was doing 50-55 in a 70 will continue doing that leaving you akwardly stuck or just yknow ignore it and speed.

stoic ledge
stoic ledge
prisma frost

I dont have a second set, so yeah I am swapping the rims

stoic ledge

I think storage itself is ok, like €10/tire/season or whatever?

#

Swapping on the rims each time isn't cheap

#

Local garages it's usually ok

#

But like Profile or Euromaster it's easily €35/tire

#

Which you then pay twice a year

#
  • storage
#

So that's €320 for 2 swaps and 2 storage seasons

prisma frost
#

Not sure if they also offer tire storage

#

If I am able to load the 4 tires into my Polo and bring then to the vakgarage then I believe its €36 per season to store my summers and €140 to mount and balancing

#

€140 on storage for a year, €266 for mounting per year. So you’d be spending around €406 per year on mounting and storage. For the CC2 it’s €746 in total for mounting and balancing (+the tires ofc). So basically it’s cheaper in the long run to go for all seasons but all seasons definitely aren’t as good as winter tires I believe.
