Only red flags I see is that it's modified (usually mods hurt reliability and insurance), and a couple obvious spelling/grammar mistakes. Like "Seriously inquiries only"

Burn hole on driver seat also probably means smoker, so it's gonna smell bad. Not much else in a car that's hot enough to burn a hole.

They may be nose blind which is an explanation for why they don't mention it's a smokers car, or that could be their excuse if you try to get your money back. But it's hard to claim ignorance to a hole in the seat.

Was in the shop for I swear what was like 2-3 months before they finally found out that it was one of the screws that the previous owner had drilled into the drivers side floor to hold a office floor mat down, one of the screws went right into the harness that runs along the drivers side and cut the front ABS wire and ONLY the front ABS wire

I think in Europe the implementation is independent of the manufacturer, and most go for simply a speed warning if you exceed the limit. You can turn the system off but that needs to be done every drive

Watched a guy do his own tire rotation, because a shop wouldn't do it themselves, I believe they wouldn't do it because some of the tires had too low thread.
His front tires were super worn down, which was switched over to the back (no bueno).
And when he used a torque wrench to set proper torque to the nuts. Then they had already been overtorqued.

Any Renault Modus 2005 owners here? Or people which have experience with these cars?

So i was riding in my friends car and i "discovered" this button on the bottom from which i could understand that it would serve a function to speak with someone on a phone call. My friend did not know about the functionality of this button.

So i immediately thought that... His car might have Bluetooth in it. He uses a car - charger - Bluetooth thing which you can connect to and play music (you have to set it to a certain radio frequency for it to work). That's how he gets Bluetooth in his car. But it's a bit inconvenient, as the Bluetooth connector is connected at the cigarette lighter which is right under (i think) the handbrake. So every time someone calls him, he either has to pick up the call on his phone (not convenient and dangerous to use when driving), or he has to reach with his hand to touch the Bluetooth device (it has a button on it to answer calls), which is also not convenient.

I did look up on the internet to see what the functionality of that button with the mouthpiece on it serves, but i couldn't really find any information (maybe i didn't search well enough). There's also another button which is left of that "scroll wheel" button (used for changing radio frequencies), that's used for lowering / increasing the volume of the radio, but it has a middle button, from which you can apparently answer / decline calls (has a green and red call icon on it). I looked that up on the internet as well, but couldn't find any information about it either.

What i did find in the whole browsing thing, and what i have understood so far is that the radio system (which you can remove quite easily, just need some 2 steel holders i think, that you attach on the 2 holes on either side on the front of the radio) has some connectors (unused, spare connectors) to which you can hook up some stuff... And yes, those stuff do involve a microphone, 3.5mm male (or female) audio jack, and a Bluetooth device (from which you can talk, play music).

It seems to me that his car just has the buttons (future proofing), but not the functionality, for which you can rather easily just do a little "upgrade" and add these things later. Am i right here?

I did attempt to see if i can find whether the car he owns has Bluetooth. I changed the mode on the radio, but it did not have a Bluetooth mode.

What i did also discover through that is that the car did have a 3rd mode. The first mode was the radio mode, the 2nd was the CD player mode, and the 3rd mode was some kind of a "manual radio" mode which displayed the letter "L" on it.

Here's where the story gets weird. With that mode on, we could catch radio signals (???) from all over Europe and beyond. We could even listen to some Russian / Ukrainian radio stations, some Arab radio stations, some other European stations... I honestly don't even know if those are even radio stations or something else (my assumption is that they are). It's a bit weird that his car is able to catch those signals from far away (we are situated in the Balkans), because the furthest we'd catch radio signals is either Greek, Serbian or Bulgarian... but this goes even further beyond that. Could his car have some form of a satellite radio???

And i discovered another functionality in his car, labeled as "i" which i assume is an option that would alert the driver for any information on the road, accidents, roadworks, etc... But i highly doubt that would work, considering his car was made in 2005 and is from a French based company (maybe it would work only in France)...

So these are dvc subs

What I did was put a jumper wire on each one so that they could be run in parallel

When you have a parallel circuit the impedece is cut in half (if both loads are the same impedance) instead of added together like a series circuit

And to obtain the full output of my amp I needed 2 ohms

It's rated for 1200w rms

Found the issue with the my transmission

I genuinely don’t know how this happened. I’m not rough on it at all

Transmission had a bit of a knock when I got the truck, thought that was just how it sounded. Evidentally, that was a indicator that that gear was failing because that knock got LOUD when it finally let go.

I'm still worried that there's damage elsewhere in the trans, though. The oil was full of forbidden glitter, the drain plug magnet was covered in forbidden glitter, and there are still chunks unaccounted for

Either way, we are gonna have a transmission shop go through it and see if its worth rebuilding this one or just getting a reman FM145

We're also gonna have them go through the transfer case
