All engines can be pushed to their limits. Honda, Toyota, etc. Aren't expections.
yeah
but how one takes that much of a rod bits of the rod escapes me
without going metal on metal...
i thought this was supercharger?
I usually opt for nitrous over turbo's or Superchargers
:0 your nos bottle is huge
Any 10th gen civic owners in here
yoopty
idk who designs these front ends and decides yup that looks good
So weird :/ .. I like the color though!
I'm getting frustrated with my car.. A couple months ago the alternator went out, no big deal and I replaced it myself. Then my brakes went out a bit ago and I was able to replace the front rotors and pads myself. Then I got stuck trying to do the rear ones when I ended up needing to do the caliper too, so I had to ask for help.
Now apparently I must have driven over a nail or tack and my tire went flat.
So this morning I jack it up and I got the spare on, lower it, and realize the spare is also flat.
I filled it as best as I could with my bike pump and then limped it to the gas station to fill it more.
I get it back home, turn it off, and it starts rapidly clicking and flashing the lights.
The battery was replaced early this year. Why now? just bad luck? What could I have done..
If they would have color matched the front bumper completely instead of leaving certain parts black, it would look better
There's a company that makes little plastic pieces with 3M tape that can be placed on there to make it look better
The face-lift front end looks nice
is this a BMW or VW?
Cool Xmas gift
This guy can't stop crashing! 2nd major accident in 1 week! First, Merry Christmas to everyone watching and thank you so much for watching. This channel started as a hobby to showcase my crazy work and turned into a juggernaut with just about 100,000 subscribers. In this episode, we have what you can call a follow up to my last video, post just ...
I found someone selling the rest of their blown motor for $400
came with pistons, rods, injectors, and a fully built and ported stage 2 head
which the head, block and cam are basically the only reason I bought it
is this a b-series?
ah
it's a z6 head tho
is there a way to fly out to a city and then have your car transported to you?
There is a way.
Yes. Cost will vary depending on how far, where the truck is coming from and going to, ect.
car
so does it count as a towing company
or is it called something else
cause if its not expensive, i might just get the Ford E transit and then if i ever move, just use that service to have my EV transported to my new location / city
cause EVs are kind of busted if you are just staying in one area for a long time.
cause every you can get anywhere in 1 city with 100 miles of range.
Lol no it's a 2007 Acura TL type S .. it does have over 200k miles though
Although I did three separate trips today to the gas station, gym, then target and it started fine. No flickering and clicking yet today!
Honestly yesterday though when I jacked it up I first tried on the rear drivers side jack point. Then it knocked a couple times and I have no idea why. I'm like 99% sure that I was on the correct jack point. I have no idea why it made that noise. Haven't heard it since then. I just ended up lowering it and jacking from the main rear jack point in the middle.
Gotta love pinch weld jack points
It'll be a car carrier taking your vehicle or a hotshot driver with a car transport trailer. Here in the US, cost ranges from couple hundred to over a grand.
I like the FSM Fiat 126p
Can I trade my dog đ
It's not mine, just one I did some work on
That looks like a budget Audi steering wheel.
315007 miles on my 2000 4runner an my origanal altenater gos out đ not bad id say
thats not so bad
This engine sound healthy?
E31 tho đđđ
V12 go brrrrr
20k seem fair? For 90k miles
planning on manual swapping it though
fuck yeah
đ«
Original paint too
Was worth the 2hr drive to decide wether or not I need to clean out the garageđ
Put a CVT in it. You won't.
I can say with a straight face that CVT is F1 tech that was banned for being too good.
The problem is just that no one wants to built a stout one.
I... Wonder if they would be ideal for rotary?
Since those normally have lower torque.
But you know what a cvt cant beat
manual IMO
Engagement and fun
why is richard hammond in my online driving lessons
just 400k in E-types just casually sitting there
They had 2 warehouses full of Porsches
17 of them to be exact
cough i mean 1.9 million
thats entierly too many etypes
theres probably 1 or 2 high 100s cars hiding in there waiting for their day

For the low price of 43000
honestly. ive seen worse
That is true
you should see what 60s charger people want for a literal pile of rust and a vin plate
thats actually not a bad price. engine is probably bad spec for the value though

440 for 35k
a 440 long block alone is 8-15k
there is a 69 440 longblock forsale near me thats been sitting on the floor of a damp garage for the past 30 years and even its 3k with the trans
Itâs about 5k bellow average selling price according to the google lords
extreme whistle?
Wow
why is richard hammond in an ONTARIO driving thing
A 16-year-old claimed it was âthe worst birthday everâ after she was handed the keys to a brand new Tesla.
isnt that the expensive model?
dang, and i thought a type r is too expensive to justify buying
Found this online
Model S. So yeah, the more costly model.
I could only hope this is fake
You would be surprised
i think its a trabant
just get a daewoo espero
in my country this would be a equalivent of gifting a man a skirt
I know for a fact it's a Simca, it said in on both the front and the back
Not a Trabant
oh
Quite certain it's the Simca Aronde P60
This is the Trabant, used it as comparison đ
i was wrong
No worries
I'd put an i6 in it. Tbh
Inline 6 is love.
Inline 6 is life.
But I'm also saying it because they already came with one, no?
Depends on the Series
This looks like a Series 2 to me?
Could be a Series 1
Not a Series 3
But Series 3 had the V12, Series1/2 is I6
Ls would be fun
heya, we've got a Nissan Xterra from circa 2005, it's turning over but won't start. I've heard lots of people say it's the fuel pump or fuel injectors, can we get any second opinions?
the battery is fine
It could be many things
Probably best to have a shop look at it or a mechanic look at it in person
the thing is, it's on an island
Just seeing text like this it could be any issue related to spark, fuel, air or compression really
it worked just fine a month or two ago when we last used it, if that changes anything
the only thing that's changed is the environment, it's a tad colder (but jumping it didn't do much)
It's most likely not a compression issue then, have you checked the spark plugs?
we can, I'll bring that up too
this thing hasn't been maintained in years lmao, I keep telling the owner "you gotta service this thing"
I mean I'm not saying as like a solution, but definitely see if the spark plugs are good, could be fuel pump or injectors, I have a feeling it would more likely be fuel pump out of those 2
But first thing I would check as it's the easiest to is if plugs are getting spark, because then it is a fuel issue
alright, thank you!
If you know where the fuel filter is, also check to make sure fuel is getting to it because if it is, then it's not the fuel pump
how would we do that?
How hard is it to find a car if you have the vin number?
Cause I really want to buy my old smart car that I traded in 4 years ago.
smart car
???
Yes I love smart four twos
It depends? Over here you'd probably be able to find it easily.
but over there you wouldnt be able too
In the USA?
if you have a wheel any car game is gonna be good
Is it normal for the passenger side mirror to not have auto dimming?
I noticed driver side and rear view has it but not passenger side
Truck flys off highway overpass. Filmed by another local resident.
Everyone is alive, the driver of the flying truck did suffer some damage. Conditions unknown.
This happened on a day when we got over 8â+ of snow. We do not know the official cause of the accident.
We have got a 1964 Chevelle Malibu SS in cherry red. Pretty fun
Left and Middle lane hogs have made American highways unnecessarily congested, slower, and dangerous. Most Americans do not even know they are driving in the wrong lane and I hope we can clear that up with proper lane etiquette.

Ah yes, modern technology is so convenient đđ
So happy that if my infotainment bricks i can remove it within 10 seconds and put a different one in
Really depends, often it's only only interior mirror, but when exterior mirrors also have dimming I'd usually expect them both the be auto dimming
But it could just be that's how they configured it
Maybe try and find a price list for your model year?
The Touring Technology Package ($1,675 MSRP), which can only be ordered when combined with the Bose/Moonroof/Satellite Package, adds LED auto on/off headlights with auto leveling, LED daytime running lights, adaptive front-lighting system, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming interior mirror with Homelink, auto-dimming driverâs side mirror, heated side mirrors, heated front seats and Smart City Brake Support (SCBS).
Looks to be only driver side
They realised how annoying modern headlights are so their solution is dimmable side mirrors too heh
....
My 1st emergency repair parts....
Gotcha thank you
I thought it was somehow broken lol
Sorry I never saw this
Usually it's a long the fuel line and its clear usually
alright, thank you!
Ah but not on the xterra
Slide me a prius
Has anyone had matte PPF installed? I personally like the matte appearance and I drive on the highway a lot so my front bumper gets sandblasted regularly. I understand that PPF is an extremely expensive, giant waste of money. A poor investment with no ROI at trade in.... unless your driving environment is going to destroy the paint.
I have purchased another car

2003 v6 mustang it matches my other mustang that doesnât run
$400 for a running driving unit, now what do I do with it
I want a bracket car maybe this is it
I have a solid sports car already, I couldnât resist buying this unit tho
No clue what the plan is, maybe just a mild bracket car
I like actualy want this NGL
hi i have a vw jetta 2007 1.9 tdi and i accidentally hit 5k rpm for a few seconds today in 3rd-4th gear did i damaged my engine?
was it at operating temp?
Redline is 4.5k on that one?
It could be 'fine', if it was just for a short time.
yes starts at 4.5 and ends at 6k
It was 2 seconds max
then ur engine isn damaged
WHAAAAAAAAAAT
In my country, you would struggle to find a working car for 750$, and i'm talking about something like Daewoo Tico
i did find a damaged daewoo espero for 250$
oh , for parts
and i found a Opel Meriva 1.8 for 250 also
for parts
I found a 1.8 espero with a LPG installation for 650
and that's a basic car
Though these are very well made cars. My classmate's dad had one.
pretty good looking mustang for 400 bucks
rip that mf like theres no tomorrow đ
Iâm not sure what the plan is for it, probably gonna slightly modify it
this is self explanatory
roasted đ
Looking into buying a car within half a year. Was thinking that a hybrid might be a good choice, as here up in the North, the cold makes using full electric not make sense (it's currently -17°C). Just wondering if a plugin hybrid needs to be charged externally or not. My dad's wife has a non-plugin hybrid that charges while driving, and at my apartment there's no charging available so I couldn't charge my car more than max 3.68kW for 2h (7.36kWh).
Turbocharged, supercharged, naturally aspirated V8, the Audi S4 has seen it all throughout its lifetime. Made famous by its Quattro AWD system the S4 has become a favorite among European car enthusiasts. From the starting days of the C4, to the iconic B5, to today's B9, join Alex as he breaks down what you should expect if you plan to pick up on...
Why an Audi?
anyone else think its hard to find a car brand that doesnt have horrible commercials?
PHEV's usually have the option to plug in, or use the engine to charge up the battery. Plugging in to charge, even if it is at an incredibly slow rate is often worth it.
I love this one
In September 2023 we asked Audi fans to help us pay tribute to a motoring icon, the Audi R8. A car inspired by Le Mans racing that became a defining supercar for a generation. Fans voted on everything from where and how the cars were shot to the music and storyline.â
R8: The Last Lap is the culmination of that input, from our fans and followers...
Itâs so well produced
I suppose itâs not quite a commercial but cool watch nonetheless
We have outlets that have timers on them (max 2h) and these outlets are ment for small heaters to get rid of snow. I could charge longer than 2h but I would have to go reset it all the time.
Do you think it would make sense to even get a hybrid in my situation? You get a nice tax discount on road tax and on car insurance if it's electric or a hybrid so that's pretty much the only reason I'm looking into em
Then you're in a similar situation like me. We have those timers as well. And I'm not sure they are rated for lots of higher draw output.
Hybrid can still make sense for you, though. But PHEV makes less sense if you can't properly hook it up at home or work.
At my current job we don't have any parking cause the office is in the city centre, so obviously no charging places but I'm probably leaving the company in around 2 months cause they aren't offering enough hours
One of the jobs I applied for is a job where you go to a job site and not an office so there would never be any charging either
To be honest they actually might be behind a 10A or even smaller of a breaker so it might be worse.
But the 2h limit is still making life difficult
The outlets that we have in our garage is also just for small heaters like that.
50+ year old wiring.
I think this building was made in 1960's
But to my understanding the parking area isn't original
So it could be 2.5mmÂČ wiring
This is a Motormouth couple car video discussing the cost to replace the battery in 2022 Hyundai IONIQ 5. A second IONIQ 5 owner in eastern Canada also has a battery protection cover scratched, the owner was also told the battery needed to be replace for more than the cost of a brand new Hyundai IONIQ 5. This is a cautionary tale to not only E...

there ain't a usable part left
Iâm not into drifting at all, itâll get some love and be a bracket car
Mild built v6, some spray and thatâs it, nothing over the top for this one
Bracket cars donât need to be fast, just constant and reliable
Itâll live the same life my last new edge lived
But that one had the 3.8 swapped out for a 351w, this time Iâm experimenting with v6 performance

I bet the V6 could put out some ponies if you let it
Imagine how fast it's going to be with double the boost
broken on the side of the road
Lol
Weird question but what is the 1080ti of car

They can if you do forged internals, stock 3.8 blocks are decently strong but the rods and pistons are not
@misty imp its not my car the ford i unfortunetly own a renault đŠ
even worse
interesting
That engine model looks so massive lmao
B35 civic
you know that hybrids are not really that effcient? top gear did not a sientific test with a prius and a bmw with a v8 in it and the bmw got better mpg
I'd assume an older bmw
Because they redline the shit out of the Prius and they didnât use regenerative breaking effectively on a track
The bmw was happy and much more efficient in the lower RPM range
thanks phil
Meanwhile the Prius engines pistons were actively escaping the flame front
Plugin hybrids donât have to be charged externally itâs just cheaper to do it with wall power. Get a Honda civic
âyou know that hybrids are not really that effcient?â Is a blatant misrepresentation at best and straight up lying at worse
sure buddy
don't worry, mario here is a certified yapper
If you actually watch the damn clip in its entirety you would see that they said how you drive is more important then the damn vehicle
TL;DR donât redline a Prius

"In 2002, John Paul II requested that the media stop referring to the popemobile as the "popemobile", saying that the term was "undignified".[1] The popemobile most often used by Pope Benedict XVI"
2,000 miles in 12 years.
over a year legally
Gedyy, did you pay them off to say all the rust was only minor or is it actually lol
nah that bit was just crusty, it did fail on rust had to weld it for a retest.
mint
Crusty Peugeot
A faulty indicator switch is "minor"? Is it a BMW?
Its actually that the high beams dont toggle on
im not a car person. so the fact that the hi beem switch is an indicator eluded me
do you plan on fixing it? If you dont feel comfortable answering the question, just say "yes" in case they're listening
is your car old enough to actually have a "high" beam? Or is it a newer one that just has a brighter light?
Dont really need to be able to toggle high beams on in reality, I can still do it with some finesse.
Looks like Mexico if you ask me.
my car can do that without spinning the tyres : )
working on a petrol at the moment, quite horrible.
rip all this out for a nice diesel engine
my car makes smoke but its not the tires
Head gasket?
its trying to roll coal
eh jank the e brake and give it the beans
it can spin the wheels all the way through first gear
daYm bro
100hp to the wheels
my 740 too
this is 2nd year
you can hear it in the video me trying to do 3rd and it just dies
trying to decide if i should make a 320 credit decision and get a new type r
If you wanna go fast just get a motorcycle
street tires you can melt and they get slippery
i dont do burnouts on my daily drive tires

these were the cheapes my job had in stock

ELECTRIC AHH
tesla ashhh
Why does tesla rims unironically kinda looks good
They look like BBS rk
this doesn't look good though
but this goes hard ngl
Yeah...
What
Interestingly, out of 1.2 million cars sold last year in Australia, wanna know how many were hydrogen?
Six flat lmao
How much does that ford escort cost?
@civic spoke The Diesel price did go down in Sweden, isnât it?
Went down by almost 20%
Went down 4.27 SEK.
Yeah. Maybe i'll visit again mid-february.
Diesel seems to be going down everywhere
Idk what any of that means
TL;DR - The world revolves around diesel. If diesel increases in price, so does store prices.
Well yeah
I was just making a joke because of the language and money
Well not a joke
Anyway, I had a truck that I bought right before diesel doubled in price in the states
Probably still worth it over petrol. tbh
Fuel consumption is so much better with diesel.
Well I went from a car that got 26 mpg to a truck that got 16 on a good day, while my drive was over an hour long
But the reasons were that I worked off a dirt road and had to haul stuff, and I wasn't going to drive my nice car out there
So I sold the nice car and bought a crap diesel truck so I could work better and then price doubled like less than a month later
However I know I can't complain compared to people in Europe because fuel is just cheaper here
I'm just happy that it's not $2.50 per liter anymore.
Mmmm another example of Tesla God-tier QA.
Paint correction at the factory, I am driving a blue cow.
A little elbow grease and stripping the wax will de-cow my car but still... if you're going to try to fix paint issues with a buffer... you gotta buff the entire car
or at least the panel
I mean.
One is obtainable. The other is not.
That's about it.
Hmm...
V10 vs a flat 4?
The boxer 4 of the BRZ sounds fine. It's a boxer engine.
Where as the LFA... Well... It's a V10...
Two completely different kinds of sound from them. Honestly.
One is low and grumbly.
The other is high screech.
I think the interesting thing about the lfa is most videos I see are of unmodified lfa
while most "brz sound" videos are all of cars modified to shit
surely that says enough
^
agreed
i still cannot believe i showed someone an lfa and they went EW looks like a ugly fish and sounds too loud
Miss these quite a bit
oh god, it's the red mudflaps
is it worth getting a k&n air filter considering mine is non-standard, shape wise and costs 43 euro vs 95ish for the k&n one
is the 43 euro one reusable?
don't think so
thanks
there are others in between the price range but i haven't heard of those brands
had them on the car to keep the rocks off the sides. 4AGE 20v silvertop swap and a full resto
the engine makes up for those horrid red mudflaps
celica 6mt swap too
always wanted one with a Beams 3STGE in it
off to facebook marketplace
huh, how'd you get a celica transmission on an A engine
have to tap out the shifter imput
did it about 6 years ago, but from what i recall just drilling it out and sealing it
want to say it was a C60
how on earth
and that was never in the celica except 7th gen
how does that mount to a 4A

unless you used part of the C50 case?
ah yep, gotta swap to the C50 front half of the case for it to work
do i stay with sierra cluster or change to denali
the yukon denali has the cadillac cluster, the sierra denali uses the tahoe cluster
the second pic is a tahoe cluster
i finally got denali airbag and wheel
I know of a guy who changed out his whole Chevy Silverado with Escelade interior.
i can do a cadillac swap but i wild rather a denali swap
i want to keep the jump seat

Guy selling told perfect mech condition except the engine seems like scrap according to a mechanic
Some electrical systems don't work, door locks even don't work, yeah uh
so much wrong and it was still purchased?
Person selling played it very smart, we were dumb enough to not check
They were experienced and they run that scam many times here. Saw many other JLR and other luxury cars being sold by the same seller
Outright lies, just nice exterior and interior and yeah the mech condition is just horrible in most of them
u guys like the carbon fiber or no
I generally can do without it.
At least when it doesn't serve a purpose other than being a visual thing.
Is your E90 BMW really THAT much lighter with a carbon fiber piece for your drive selector?
it's only for a visual purpose because i hated how the old one looked. and i didn't think an OEM shifter would look any better
You could have done far worse. tbh
Many of the OEM options are far from good.
imagine if i had the money and time and skill to manual swap my car
a 6 speed auto gets boring. a 6 speed mt would be fun
Looks like they are some all-leather options.
pro tip: if you think you need a truck, you probably dont
source: i do more "truck" things than 99% of people and I don't need a truck
do we have a truck? yes, it makes some of the things we do easier, like hauling a 7000lbs bobcat
One 100%.
And you can easily add capability to tow, too.
the F150 is one of the best selling vehicles on the road here and I hate it
Remember having engine hoist, big B205 lump, gearbox, all the cluster ecu loom etc in the boot of my Saab 900 heh all the way down in England.

Trabant. Very nice
how do u have a trabant? those things were sold in like eastern germany before the berlin wall got destroyed
There are a few people here in the states that have one. Look up Aging Wheels on Youtube, he is one of those people
was it a shit car
anyone know what kind of car was on fire across my street?
E60?
Looks like a BMW 2 series?
no.
Yup looks like a BMW 2-series Gran Tourer indeed (F46)
E60 never looked like that, must be an E9x

e90
aftermarket cosmetic carbon fibre is for wannabes
Sadly not
Ethan must be in a bad mood
Ah
right. i was thinking whether or not my new shifter made my car look like a wannabe high-spec bmw
apparently it's getting more suspension travel when it's new shocks come in
also a snorkel
Rear top mount finally disintegrated on my 305 saloon the reason why I didnt replace them before is the price :^ |
have to get them from france aswell
I think this looks pretty cool
the color could be better imo
2018 genesis g80 sport 3.3 v6, twin turbo, awd.
Just got new intakes on and bov's today
And exhaust last week
this is definitely perfect weather to use my rear fog lights
đŁïžđ„
were the stock BOVs not holding the pressure or did the stocker not make wooshing noises?
Stock wasn't holding the psi @stable igloo
28psi
Stock were plastic recirculating diverted valves
With rubber diaphram
The new bovs are anodised aluminum with brass piston and thick o-ring. Supposed to hold up to 100psi
Nice volvo
I use to have a s90 t6 awd

But traded it for my genesis

ram air filter +30hp
Haha maybe if u tune for it but not on stock tune especially when ur pulling hot air from the engine bay.
it is tuned for it anyway
theres no factory airbox for this application, didnt do it out of want was just the easiest way to stick a filter on.
Ah OK
U can try to make a heat shield
Or stick it closer to the finder
Or out the bottom near the lights
my radiator has a massive gap above it as its the wrong one so it actually gets loads of airflow.
Ok but u still have heat soak from the engine bay
you can see the front of the filter from the grille so its alright.
Colder the air the more density and more complete burn of fuel. If sucking hot air it defeat the purpose
it has heatsoak anyway with the topmount intercooler
Most OEM setups are generally good.
Along with heat shields to prevent heat soak
Not oem
this is a old turbo diesel im not really going to improve anything, my power at the moment is limited by the lack of head studs.
U still want more colder dense air.
I know yours isn't. But I'm saying that most original ones are good. This is original, right?
Diesels run on compression and the more air u can get the more efficient they run
its really not going to be noticable though, most of these in high power applications do not run a inlet at all. just bare turbo.
Yes those boxes are
Oem
Is a truck?
nah Peugeot 305, didnt come with this engine but swapped in.
It's fine for you. Don't really have much to gain as it is.
Not to mention that I'm not sure you have a computer to know how to handle the difference.
I just adjust a screw : )
The computer is my brain I watch in the mirror for black smoke
Even if u don't gain more power u will gain more fuel efficiency with colder more dense air
Cause has more O2 to burn the fuel
More O2 less black soot aka smoke
My wife's bmw x5m is a 3.0 twin turbo diesel i6
Ged's fine. Really.
Having an efficient car is the least of his worries. And I'm sure he knows it.
I enjoy seeing his effort to keep stuff on the road at all, honestly.
Ill get a front mount eventually the air gets super heated anyway as this car was not designed for the top mount setup so has no ducting for it
Yeah top mounts suc I know alot of subie guys switching to front mount coolers
I'm changing my front mount due to the factory plastic ends
What year was it? Ged? 1980-something?
Helps that they are the same year for parts. đ
Had to change my factory plastic diverted valves cause they were plastic with rubber diaphram and wouldn't hold the boost
So I went with the gfb hybrids
And able to hold 28psi
If I had a decent E46, 330i. Then I seriously would have considered supercharging the car.
I wouldn't supercharge it
I'd leave it as is
i'd rather keep the car nice and clean then mod it
Twin charging or seqntial Twin turbo more efficiency
especially with the rear subframe mount cracking concerns
I know. The supercharger would have just been a nice extra. tbh
I'd address that first tbh
My Volvo s90 t6 had a supercharger and a turbo from factory on that little 2.0 4 banger
Well aware of this.
i figured
My 320i shouldn't have those concerns, tho.
Not to the same extent. Since I don't have anywhere near the torque of the other engines.
less torque just means it will take longer
actually it looks like torque might not matter as much
hmm
I know, I know. The car will likely suffer from other damages before the subframe becomes the issue. Is just what I'm saying.
Wish I could get my hands on a x5m550d has the 3.0L i6 diesel but has 4 turbos
Looking to replace the blower motor sometime this next week.
But apparently bmw isn't going to make that engine anymore
yes
Just hate the big ass bulky air box ontop
Hers is 2011
Hahahaha
I tried to send image of the engine and flagged it as explicit
Stupid dischord
740nm torque
Oh and all the emissions crap is gone lol
No dpf, def, or egr
Has been tuned and doesn't blow black soot it runs clean
3 inch turbo back exhaust with hfc and muffler
Had to do it kepped getting check engine lights for Def fluid tank heater then dpf then the scr, and bmw wanted 20k$ to fix since no warranty and 2011 so I said nope and got a tune for 1500, then the exhaust and labor for another 2k and no more problems
Sure is lovely to hear them turbos spool
Also deleted the swirl flap valves too
Cause almost had a flap come loose and go into the intake valve
I'm fine with my E46.
That would have been a new motor
All the e70 35d and x5md that shared the same motor had problems with the swirl flaps breaking off and grenade the motor
Nice vehicle
I think the 335d sedan also shared that motor as well
Except they made one with a single turbo and the high output with the twin turbos
For that diesel
Then came the 450d with 3 turbos
Then the 550d with 4 turbos
Insane motor
Who would want to work on that complex monster
There is absolutely no way I would attempt to
I think that's why bmw discontinued production of that engine line
Also we can't get these diesels anymore in the states from bmw or vw
Cause of the emissions thing
Volvo woot
Nice but very heavy cars
My s90 t6 awd was like 5200lbs
And had a twin charged 2.0l 4 cylinder
Supercharger and turbo
Direct injection
I only like s40s cause they have mitsubishi suspension
I have eclipse brakes and an FTO swaybar on it
Evo 3 rear alignment bars
It's nice tho
They are well built
Just too heavy
Imo
It's cause of the boron steel frame is why it's so heavy
Crash ratings are very good
Still nice volvo
U even have the same prancing moose on the side like I did
I also had on on the back that was vertical
Took the Volvo letters off and painted the crome on the front ppl thought was a Ferrari at first glance
Lol
I was like no is a Volvo
Had the peanut butter color interior
Black exterior
Are those bbs wheels
Yes
Sweet
Wish I could do pod gauges on my a Pilar but can't due to airbags
Brand new everything
I also have a pillar airbags but idgaf
There's a strap inside to stop it flying away
Closed casket
Very dangerous
Lol
I have mine on blue tooth obd2
Through my phone
So I mount my phone on the windshield
I had plans to do autocross with this car but I don't feel like working on it constantly
Now I can just get it up to 220kph on the highway without being scared
Would love to have dash mount gauge tho
Nice
I have a good radio in mine but sux that I can't get wifi or sos crash thing or auto updates anymore
Due to 3g towers turned off
That whole 2g/3g sunset thing
That effected alot of cars
Idgaf about car wifi
I like driving a car that I'm the boss of
Doesn't even have seatbelt chime
Shifty thing is the auto manufacturers knew that Verizon and att were doing away with 2g/3g networks since 2010, when it was made public knowing but still made my 2018 with 3g modem
Kissimmee florida Mecum Auctions event dodge experience.
They also go bust a lot, and then you have a 16k bill to get it fixed
Awd is awesome straight line and corners especially on summer tires but can't break traction for shit unless I turn off stability and traction control but then the computer goes crazy and thinks something wrong and goes to limp mode
Till I reset everything and reset the ecu
All the suspension and awd systems are ties into the tcu and ecu
AWD is amazing, but it's not great for low-speed drifting, the traction can be a little awful. I've also had issues with my ABS and Traction control fighting at below 10kph and trying to stop.
Yup its a night mare if turned off
I just leave it all on
Especially if ur car has tourqe vectoring like mine
I drive a 2015 WRX, my couple of no traction control experiences was that it was no issue. Only in like harsh blizzards have I actually seen my traction control light come on. Mostly it comes on when I'm trying to stop in like foot deep snow.
As soon as the car gets below 10kph it just starts sliding and freaking out. Pumping or threshold braking doesn't help either, it's just hold the brake as hard as you can and hope.
It's wierd the electronic dampening suspension, torque vector awd
Makes it for interesting times
All through a zf 8speed with paddle shift and sport mode
I know my suspension is purely mechanical, I forget what torque vectoring is but iirc it's just the clutch plates on each wheel which all Subaru's have, I forget which year it was added but I know my WRX has those.
Also in normal drive mode it's mostly rear wheel drive 90% rear 10% front
And sport is 50 rear 50 front
Or what ever end need most traction
2018 genesis g80 sport 3.3t awd
I'd expect normal to be 50/50 or like a FWD bias, and sport to be a 40f/60r bias.
Genesis had to be wierd I guess
They hired a bmw and audi engineer to design the platform
Shares the same motor as the kia stinger gt2
3.3 twin turbo
V6
that sounds like an awful combo
Yup
U know they always over engineer things
Even stock the motor has forged crank, forged rods and pistons
From the factory
Kia/Hyundai can't build an engine for crap, Germans over engineer everything so that platform is probably expensive AF has more than enough points of failure but it won't fail catastrophically at least.
Yup is why the genesis g80 sport 3.3t awd cost 75k new
Only difference between the stinger and my g80 engine is the bost merge pipe on the kia it's made of plastic and mine is aluminum
Same front mouth intercooler tho with plastic ends
That's going soon
Going with mishumoto
All aluminum
Just like the diverter valves were plastic with rubber diaphram
Why'd you get it? Wanted a car you knew would require work or was it a good deal used?
Changed those with gfb aluminum bov with brass piston and rubber o-rings
Got it used
Was a good deal at 30k
And I knew the potential
Right now with current mods I'm at 500hp to the wheels
Waiting for turbo upgrades wmi and hpfp. And I'll be at 700whp
On e85
Also gona need new tcu tune to I crease line pressure so I don't burn out the clutches
Dayum. Can the transmission handle that?
Zf 8 speed one of the best tranys out
fair
Just gota increase the line pressure and change out the torque converter
Also the silinoid plate
For billit one
And gaskets
Other then that no major upgrade to the trans
fair
yeah
Also the factory box is very restricted in flow Also the tubing there is a sound resonator infront of the left side turbo
And the k&n piping I plugged the left side reserc cause it's not needed
The right side I added a 1in k&n breather filter due to the pcv vacuum hose and valve cover vacuum hose along with brake vacuum line attached to the tube. To alow for volumetric effeincy when the turbo is pulling air from the main large filter it doesn't have to fight for air from the other vacuum lines atrached
And don't need reserc valves as my motor don't have a mass air flow sensor
Is why I went with bov'
Due to it being speed density
Only boost pressure sensor, and a map sensor
To make the ecu control the electronic wastegates
So far I have primary cat's on, since they are monitored and have O2 sensors, secondary sweeper cat's are deleted as they weren't monitored no O2 sensor, 2 1/4 inch dual exhaust from the flanges to a 2-1 merge collector that go to a single 3in all the way back to the rear axel, then dual back out to 2 1/2 in pipe to 2 twin loop mufflers.
@coarse jewel
Nice
She is a beast
Have drycharger filter socks to keep rain off the filters from the intakes
Factory intake horns were more recessed into behind the bumper
So I got velossitec big mouth ram air snorkels that mount behind the grill
The little blue color squares behind the grill
Are the intake snorkels they feed fresh cold air to the filters
I think wastegates are open at first start
For a self check
Is why the intakes are loud at first start
Apparently to hurry the air temps for the cat's to light off
Had the old ones out for a scoot today.
Nice
I love it, the older and the shittier the better
Thinking about getting a mk8 golf R but Iâm seeing some other used options that might be good. Mostly interested in a 6-speed manual, AWD, reliable and cheap to maintain. Not interested in Subaruâs, any advice/recommendations?
GR Corolla
Do you require the AWD? Civic Type R or GR Corolla comes to mind.
There aren't too many options for the manual.
Yeah definitely require AWD live in MN so I want something thatâs gonna handle snow well
Cammisa just did an episode of the icons I think it was that has all the answers to this
Is the GR Corolla really that good?
This is the definitive review of the Toyota GR Corolla, for the first time tested against the GR Yaris, the FL5 11th-generation Honda Civic Type R, and Mk8 Volkswagen Golf R â all with manual transmissions.
As always, award-winning automotive journalist Jason Cammisa brings perspective and insight into this review, starting with Volkswagen inve...
It is. Itâs not a corolla basically.
Lol
Take everything you know about a Corolla and throw it away. Done.
Hey team, sorry I'm so random but I know Dan wants a Cappuccino, hopefully this video reaches him, SO HE CAN BUY IT đ

Just wanted to say that, cheers!
Love Suzuki, wish they still made the sx4 :/
Yep, they're so cute and can be so powerful đ
If you don't already. Get a proper set of snow tires.
I say this as someone who dailies a 20+ year old RWD car in Sweden.
They do, depending on the market it's called SX4, SX4 S-Cross or S-Cross
Oh huh, Suzuki doesnât make new cars in U.S. from what I can tell đ„Č
True
Someone I know is wanting a Jimny.
Who doesn't
Can't get them as a normal 'car' anymore, they are just being sold as vans. 2 seater and a caged out rear
:^ | guy that sold me the alloys gave me the wrong wheel bolts for them
Why peugeot has 3 different ways of securing wheels for one car I do not know.
Alloys and steelies are often different
yeah they gave me C and the alloys I have needed B which is for early style alloys
Managed to order some I remember they used to be a pain to source with people scavenging scrapyards
Friends bought alot of pugs that have had the wrong bolts fitted so have a wheel vibration.
why would the wastegates being open affect the intake noise...
I dunno it only does it at start up during fast idle till it does self check, the wastegates are electronic controlled and internal into the hotside of the turbos
Yes, but that will not change induction noise, in fact, it would stall the turbos and result in less induction noise
snow is epic
salt isnt though
i saw an r8 driving around in the salt today. kind of pissed me off
they dont salt in az thank god
i am really glad i have a company car i can drive in the salt and leave my cars at home
i was thinking about getting a current gen si. but id have to void the warranty immediately to make the changes i care about
might just build a 2022 used si
If you wash your undercarriage very often is it an issue at all?
no. most people dont though
I have to name my just bought truck, do i got for betty white, salt shaker, or Goose
im so tired of running into you in the most random of places damnit
how you been?
pog 8th gen
2.0t accords are crazy
K series đȘ
It was cheap but also kind of a crap box but its my first car so whatever lol
goose
as a Canadian who drives 20 year old FWD cars and a 26 year old RWD truck in the winter, this
AWD is overrated, winter tires are underrated
the civic type r isn't AWD lol
my lude was 5k
pretty minty when i got it tho
Fwd is better than rwd in the snow tho
Mine was 4.5k
but its 170k miles & salvage title
It runs great tho
real wish my lude had a lsd
yall si owners get lsds
Tbh i havent done any spirited driving
my rear passenger side tire đ
its really a whole mess with the alignment rn
so glad lude is full double wishbone idk wtf is going on here but i hate it
looks like a camber or toe problem i have the same issue on the fronts
Yeeah look at the other sides control arm
so one side has an aftermarket part & one side has the stock part lol
i got the ome for the other side
need to get it aligned soon
what car is this?
fg2 civic
yeah they r pretty sweet cars
that explains a lot
the drivetrain is solid 6spd lsd epic k20 the chassis is a diffrent story tho lol
just wait till the clips die
My Toyota is less than 2k away from quarter of a million miles, and something in the ps is leaking a bunch. So much for Toyota being reliable, canât even make it to 250000 miles
Lol
Itâs fixable but the cost to fix is prolly more than itâs worth
Like parts alone
whens the last time you changed ps fluid
I noticed it was very low so I filled it like 10 days ago, and was working on something else like 5 days ago and noticed it was a bit low so topped it off then too
But it was very low today, and I noticed the leak
Iâm considering itâŠ
power steering leaking is common on any car
my celica's was leaking, the corolla leaks
rubber doesn't tend to last 30 years

still functions fine
Yeah fs, just annoying asf, bottom is soaked though, I donât think itâs just a leak, I donât want to top it off every other day so I can drive 15 miles a day
my ludes doesnt leak if it did i couldnt delete ps anyway without getting a accord rack lmao dumb variable rack
Also itâs only 26 years⊠lmao
26 is still many more years than rubber lasts
Yeah i have no idea if mine works without ps, or how to find out ngl
you definitely don't want to delete power steering
Oh fs, Iâm surprised more isnât dead by nowâŠ
You callin me weak?
it's a toyota, of course nothing else is dead yet
no matter how strong you are, driving a modern car without power steering will not be fun
Tbf thereâs been a lot of fixes but surprisingly not many, main thing is upper ball joins but itâs lifted with bigger tires so⊠to be expected
Yeah no fs, and synchros are fucked so I have to hold the shifter in first, so Iâd have to steer with one hand too
synchros being fucked are the result of a skill issue lol
what if he bought it used lol
I didn't say it was their skill issue
A skill issue and a quarter of a million miles of wearâŠ
Also itâs my parents, just started driving it a few months ago when I got my license, so not my fault
a quater million miles is nothing for a transmission if looked after properly
And it was used before they got it
wouldn't be surprised if it has brass synchros and has had non-yellow metal safe GL-5 gear oil put in it
Itâs gonna wear over time though still, itâs inevitable
I have no idea. I think itâs all generic atf we use
atf??
Also yeah why do they use brass in those gears, that just seems dumb
what vehicle is this exactly?
I think so. Thatâs what the power steering uses, would be surprised if it wasnât. Again tho idk, I probably helped with it before but I was too young to ask logical questions
97 4Runner
yes, toyota use atf for power steering, I was talking about the transmission fluid though
It may not be, just seems logical to make a transmission that uses atf if you have ps that uses atf
atf is for autos
Oh actually there is a automatic transmission version, maybe the ps has atf because of that version
Hollup lemme look it up
I donât wanna go grab the manual rn tho
it's definitely meant to have regular 75W-90 GL-4 (or yellow-metal safe GL-5) gear oil
Oh yep it says Multipurpose gear oil API GL-4 orGL-5
My parents have brain cells, they fs put the right thing in, no idea about the original owner though
idk if 26 years old is modern
"modern" in this case counts as anything past the mid 80s
and especially a 4runner, screw turning fat tires without power steering
Not wrong thoâŠ
damn, that wide? must be pretty rubbish power steering then
who's waiting for the new car reveals for 2024 season!
it can barely handle all 165ft lbs of torque đ
snow on da eclipse
anyone know any temporary repairs for a corroded fuel line so i could get it to a mechanic
Rubber line splice
You'd have to cut it off, and splice in a temporary line.
Or just pay up for the tow.
well he's like 300-500 meters away from my home, if it runs is it fine to just drive it there?
I would probably do it. Since it's such a short distance.
Else you can grab some friends to push it.
Or wait. You mean that the shop is that far away, or?
well it aint a shop sorta he's my neighbour he been fixin cars up for other people and my family but ig it's the same thing
with pushing there's the concern about the highway, will it be possible to push across it quick enough
I just have mines replaced with rubber hose the entire length too lazy to bend new pipes
Yeah. This is probably the go to for DIY.
even though i really wanna get into DIYing mechanics, I don't have the tools or even basic skills for it so I'm definitely not gonna be able to do it myself
electronics seem much more straightforward
flathead screwdriver hose clips and a knife for me but more modern stuff might be more annoying.
That truck is clean
Saw this today.
