E9X 328i has the N51/N52 engine which is a bulletproof engine so it's a great car if its been maintained well in the past

Currently my nissan sentra 2017 needs like 4k in maintenance too

Which Im trying to aviod by trading it in 🤣. I don’t like the car

The only way for me to get a car would be by trade in and finance, which limits me to a 2013 or younger car. And with less than 150k KM (94K) miles.

I live in a place with a good amount of snow, so mainly looking for a AWD

Indeed, however if I do trade in on the same dealer I can avoid taxes and get almost 2k extra on the car

I went to 3 dealers, avg offer is 12,500$ for the nissan. Removing the 7,500$ I owe the bank Im left with 5000$ however If I do it on the same place I get 6800$ with the tax avoidance

but you could also take what you can get end up with a nice 1500$ car that you can spend the next 4 years driving into the ground spending as little as possible on repairs

I live in Canada, btw the previous prices were in Canadian $ so for usd would need to divide by 1.35. Here in my (state) provincial area any car under 4k it’s completely rusted. And or too much of a high mileage

I used to live in the USA and I remember buying a pretty well maintained VW beattle for 900$ 😭😭

I did place a reservation on a Hyundai 2016 elantra GT. But Ill go tomorrow and get my reservation money back. I was actually gone get it but after some (LOTS) research I found it the engine on that car is a bomb.

If you check on the SAAQ site the headlights aren’t allowed to be changed. Me and a friend got to learn that the hard way. He switched his porsche boxter lights for some nee led ones and got a fine for it, plus inspection forcing it to change it back

No, the lights were actually well aimed at the street and didn’t blind anyone.

I had to spend 2 hours aiming the leds in my volvo to make sure the secondary cut off line was blow eye level. Most people only adjust for the first one

Again I got a fine for 19 over the speed limit in the middle of nowhere in farm land. Literally in one of those straights with no houses for a few km but somehow quebec says the speed limit needs to be 50 there.

Actuallyy they can. When my mother bought the nissan she didnt have her license in quebec. My sister did however, the car was registered under my mothers name but my sister drove it, she got stoped by a police officer cause the owner of the vehicle didnt have the right to drive it, however after checking who was driving she was let go.

would be $50 for a standard quality package (cheaper oil but still full synthetic, cheaper filter) would be like $20 profit, $80 for more expensive high quality oil and filter, would be like $35 profit

could also offer engine and cabin air filter replacement and check their fluids and stuff

i really want to get into the auto industry but at 17yo i really doubt anybody is going to hire me i've been trying

APR tunes aren't very good, they tend to have issues with knock and overspooling turbos

may want to look at getting something else before you kill your car
